“Ani?” you called out to the darkness, your voice low and unsure. You were stood under a fluorescent Felucian fern; its large size provided you some cover from any wandering Jedi. Not that you needed it; hardly anyone visited the Temple’s gardens on the top floor, and ever since the start of the Clone Wars, fewer and fewer Jedi came to visit the mystical gardens.

“Yeah, its me.” you could tell he was smiling even before he stepped around a cluster of mushrooms you were pretty sure originate from Endor, you could hear his smile in his voice.

As soon as you saw him, you broke into a run and leaped into his open arms, almost toppling him over. In that moment, you completely forgot you were in the Jedi temple, it was just you and him. No sneaking around, no secrecy, just your love for each other.

He pressed his face against your shoulder and tightly hugged you, his arms wrapped around your torso. His familiar scent enveloped you like a warm hug as you nestled your face in the crook of his neck.

"I missed you so much, Ani," you said, pulling away slightly to get a good look at his face. He kept his arms around you, pressing your bodies together, and his face broke into a warm smile, the type of smile that could light up an entire room and was extremely contagious.

“I missed you more, my love.” he leaned in to kiss you; he tasted nice.

“You had been gone for so long.” you pouted. “And we couldn’t even talk!”

Anakin’s latest mission had been hard on you both. He had been sent to Kessel on a no-comms mission to gather intel on some Separatist plot. But that didn’t matter anymore, all that mattered was now. His arms around you, his lips against yours. You didn’t know how you were going to say goodbye to him again.

“I’m sorry.” he always apologised, even though it wasn’t his fault. “You know how things are…” he tucked a stray strand of hair behind your ear and smiled down at you. “But let's forget about that, okay?”

You nodded and, standing on your tip-toes, gave him a quick kiss. You could feel that gorgeous smile of his against your own as you kissed.

Anakin pulled you tight against him once more, desperate to feel you close to him. You could feel the way his heart rapidly beat against your chest. His warmth was nearly overwhelming, but not quite.

"We're here now, together." he kissed the top of your head. "And thats all that matters."

right—their mother. you. he has a wife, maybe a girlfriend. she doesn’t see a ring on his finger—but either way, he’s taken. somehow, there’s a pit of disappointment weighing in her gut, sinking to her stomach and making her taste bile.

“oh, well, you guys have a beautiful family,” she smiles tightly. how did he win her over so fast—how did he manage to steal her heart so quickly? this is inappropriate, he’s the father of her students. a taken one at that—but geto is so smooth, so surprisingly gentle with an air of mystery that just makes him so desirable.

and then he slings both of his daughters’ backpacks over both his shoulders, grabs their hands and smiles sweetly as he says, “see you tomorrow!”

he has 2 mates? what do they represent as "cerberus"? do they have to have specific traits? does he or his father know as much, and sought it out?

// yes! it is nothing more than a simple development of the plot of his canon ( which i currently have closed off to other romantic ships and it’s smth i need to update my carrd on i kno i kno ) not rly something that was planned beforehand... not for ig at least. it was later just pointed out to me as a funny parallel coincidence.

sirius, ignis’ father and the current hound of hades ( i.e. cerberus— in my canon it is an inherited title, a namesake to the original cerberus that died by heracles’ hands ), is someone for whom it was planned. like an arranged marriage. since the guardian breed of the hellhounds was near extinction, hades wanted to repopulate them again, and so he closed alliances with some faraway underworlds ( or their equivalents ) and obtained two consorts for his hound. one originating from mexico and the other from china, named xolotl and tiangou respectivelly ( they’re written by @hellhunted! ) who then later accepted the titles of sol and luna. they’re sirius’ sun and moon, respectively, while he is the star which was. not really planned despite it being the name of the brightest star, i was simply looking for some fire-related name for ig’s dad, and found that sirius means ‘blazing’ so i was like yeah thats cool.

either way sirius is like the main, middle head, while luna and sol are the other two heads, symbolically speaking. they’re their own persons, the whole head thing is not neccessarily meant to somehow indoctrinate them and brainwash them, if you wanna call it that. it is simply a symbolic tradition hades likes to keep since he is an old sentimental man and he misses his big puppo.

sirius is aware of this tradition! and compared to ig, he accepted it with great honor. he is saddened by the fact that his son does not want to follow in his footsteps, honestly ignis has a very warped perception of his dad, the main influence being his mother ( who honestly fed him a lot of lies ) and him having developed a fierce need for independence, so the fact that apparently his fate was long since written out for him? that he was meant to take up the mantle of cerberus eventually? did not sit well with him. which is why he ran away from the underworld and all his duties, and is now considered an exile. he is generally not liked within its denizens. sirius loves his son tho! he’d love to somehow reconnect and show him the ways, but he does not pursue him because he is dutybound to guarding the gates of hades.

and as i mentioned though, ig isn’t aware of this symbolism. thanks to persephone ( he visits her on ocassion ) he is aware that his father had been put into an arranged marriage, but nothing more. he doesn’t care, so he quickly shut her down from trying to tell him anymore about it. so he remains oblivious to many customs regarding the role of cerberus, including the fact they are meant to be mated to two other hounds and ‘rule’ together. and rule is a very loose terms because, while they’re technically the kings and queens of the hellhounds, they hold very little power in the underworld as a whole besides just that.

just went to dad's for dinner. it was actually nice (it always has been since this started) but what struck me was the solid comfortable feeling of familiarity, the anxiety was there too but just knowing something and having been known is a comfortable safe feeling in itself. and the cognitive dissonance.. why is visiting so nice but living there not? is that the way it always will be with me and people, anyone?

what was nice: playing games w my lil sister (and brother), laughing w her, the house itself, the garden, the rooms full of things and history, the fact that there is life there at all (whereas living by yourself means its only you changing things - also is that an unnatural way to live ?), my dad smiling at me and asking how i was when i came (uncommon), the fact that they made a nice dinner cos it was a family dinner, my dad thanking me for coming, seeing the cats, the smell of the garden, talking abt my uncle w my dad

what wasn't so nice: they weren't around when i came so i went into a room to hang out w lil sis and when they came back out they start being like 'didnt she say she'd be here...?' and talking lowly saying some shit in that tone they have. fucking UGH it fucks me up but anyways, also my stepmum did her thing where my lil sis was talking abt a funny video at dinner and my stepmum did her fucking 'okay.' in her tone! she has a nasty tone! the thought condensed at dinner. thats how i could say it to be understood by anyone. she always has and if we ever talked to her like that she'd be the victim. anyways.. also just the way its always (become) so clear to me at dinners that the group never rly coheres, ever

anyway. i miss that comfortable feeling. i feel more stablised now and i know what i need is friends. even just a few, just some regulars.. i need people in me life .

and i was also thinking on the drive home: i do love my dad, and even tho he cant ever really say anything, like.. emotionally vulnerable or anything, he tried for me, and i do still wanna try to say the things i need to one day when i can bc theyre standing in our way and i dont want them too bc it is worth having him in my life

ive been studying for. at least 10 hours and i still have more to go but im too tired to continue but im too stressed to go to sleep but aaaaaaa can i. not exist for a while

#i dont wanna take this exam i feel insanely unprepared #i feel this way for most exams hut idk #i think its a mixture of everything #i was insanely tired from the previous exam i had and didnt have a break #lazed about the first week #and had to rush to catch up bc i have to literally learn about an entire specialty in 4 weeks #and then i found out i cant go back home for christmas #which means i cant see my family and friends until the summer #i cant see the guy im kind of sort of flirting with till summer so who knows what he'll think of me till then #most importantly i wanted to see my baby nephew who already grew so much in my abscence #now i wont be able to see him until the summer when he'll already be a year old #ill miss his baptismal which is a huge celebration for us #and i want to see my grandparents #just. im rly close with most of my family so this really sucks #and i dont have any other holidays but these #and i dont wanna complain to my friends bc they're on the same boat none of us can go home for xmas and my best friends have enough as is #so im just. here. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ my parents cant come visit me either bc of their work which is understandable #so i have nothing to look forward to after this exams over so that also sucks #im a little stuck in limbo and i dont feel like sharing all that w my shrink cuz i dont wanna complain #i only allow myself to complain on tumblr dot com lmao so i sound so whiny here #anyway i do wanna study and get this exam over with though #at least ill get to sleep in and play video games for 3 weeks straight after it #make tik toks and work on comissions to keep myself busy #if we dont go into yet another lockdown it might actually be fun who knows #burrito talks #delete later
