Hello everyone.

Please say hi to my newest flatmate, Crowley.

You may not recognise him at once since he is currently wearing a Jester “costume”. He had recently spent too much time in south-west Germany and found out about one of the German’s finest traditions: carnival. Given that this particular tradition is advocating everything the Serpent of Eden is known for endorsing – gluttony, drunkenness, mockery, and all other kinds of sins that come with excessive partying – he had taken to it like a fish to water.

Granted, the costume wasn’t exactly part of the plan. But it seemed like a good idea at first to blend in with the crowds when trying to lure the already heavily sinning masses into committing more sins (sins that seemed to lack the usual creative spark the serpent would normally invest and instead strongly focused on more drunkenness and more badmouthing about clergy and aristocracy).

He was having the time of his life all while feeling very productive. Crowley was really besting the concept of “find a work that you like and you never have to work for the rest of your life”.

It all went jolly well until one day, the demon had to learn that his efforts had caused somewhat of a downward spiral amongst the humans and thus caught him the attention of the local count’s guards who apparently accused him of fomenting disobedience among the people and planning a coup to gain power over his territories. Utterly ridiculous and insanely far-fetched if you asked the Serpent. Could one no longer invent some innocent little rhymes about the beheading of a certain fopdoodle of a count and spread the word like wildfire without being charged with treason these days?

He changed back into his snake form for the remainder of the festivities to keep the local authorities off his back. But he was rather annoyed about being deprived of this particular pleasure that would now continue without him. So, he decided to keep having fun nonetheless, even just with his own company (the angel unfortunately – but not unsurprisingly – NOT supporting this kind of sinful festivities).

And until the morning of Ash Wednesday, if one was to stumble into an empty barn in a dark, abandoned alley near the celebrations, one would have found a bundle of colourful, oddly shaped rectangles curled around a keg of German beer. And if one would have bothered to take a closer look, every now and then, one would have seen a snake’s head appear out of the colourful bundle, dipping its head reverently all the way down into the keg and then emitting gurgling sounds of drunkenly hissed melodies, while the head was swaying rhythmically to the faint sounds of German folk music in the distance.

I found him like this and decided to take him home, poor snek. Jester Crowley will return for next carnival’s season.

PS: he will always vehemently deny liking German folk music although for some strange reason, his take on the matter will always, reliably, be subjected to thorough revision, once past his 5th drink…

Good luck figuring out which!#Yes it is canon that Otta is into Women. YES she dates younger women and dumps them when they age.#This isn't a fan made bit. It's real.#Dungeon Meshi has no romance but it does have canonically queer characters.#Shipping is fine and all but it is a running theme in the series than *everyone* who expresses romantic interest in someone -#-finds that love unrequited. Just something to be mindful of to measure your expectations of this series!#Ah! JESTER MASS HEAL AS A CRITICAL MOVE IN THE BATTLE sorry off my rocker again about Jester love and optimism as its own brand of offense and love that sunders enemies in half and boosts her friends in all forms and all the jokes about Jester THE cleric and clerics and healers not always being one and the same, but- Jester did heal, and she healed plenty through the campaign. But sometimes being a protector of the group needed the direct offense. It was, it is, always about- action economy and balancing what will protect her friends, what will save them, what will be enough.

Jester blowing the high level spell on healing, and it working. Beautifully.

It was always about protecting everyone with what she had and all its furious love, and this time, healing her friends was more than enough to rip the enemy apart.

Confession: i have only been into the dca since late december where i found some stellar fanart and after reading one fanfiction i shifted into superdrive and did nothing but draw them with a ballpen, eat and sleep for about 2 weeks, making the most indulgent self insert story known to man that i still have somewhere in my room. What do you think should i redraw and repackage some of that stuff for your entertainment?

Oh where to begin!

Can I just say that the best part (at least my personal favorite part) of going to any theme park or a themed resort is those first couple of minutes after walking through the entrance!!!

It’s like you just stepped through a portal into a place that’s DESIGNED to make you feel like you’re at the center of it all. And in those first couple of minutes you are filled with excitement and possibility because you are at the beginning!

Also I’ll add that I love that the purpose/ goal behind themed entertainment is literally to make people happy. Their is so much love put into the craft of designing these places and if you look close enough your always finding something new (especially learning about hidden details and inside jokes designers have implicated into the artworks I’m always excited to discover those!!!)

Every time I have the pleasure to going to one of these places I study everythingggg posters, the floor design, murals, architecture, signage (even the bathroom ones!), merchandise, themed food and drink options, the background music, characters, plant choices, water features, animatronics (no surprise there hehe), lighting, how they handle transitions into two differently themed zones, EVERYTHING!!!

The fact that these places are meant to be enjoyed in company. If I could I would take all of my beloved mutuals with me on a roadtrip to themed entertainment paradise :DDDD

#one of the main reasons I was so obsessed with security breach was because its expansion of grand themed entertainment #I want so desperately to just explore the map without being chased by the Faz cast haha #DCA please wscort me so I may take notes on all the designs in the game #I have all the security breach poster animations saved somewhere #anywhoooo thank you beloved moot for prompting my obsession #and thank you for the succulent advice I see a bright future for my lil guys #I think all the dca community has to share some love for themed entertainment if we got here #fawning over some sun and moon themed robot jesters that were rebranded into daycare attendants #dca community #beloved moots
