"no one actually cares about the spotify links you post" wrong. i do. i mean it when i say i listen to at least half of the songs people put on my dash. a solid amount of my music i find through random hyperlinks or, preferably, a dramatic text post that uses smalltext.io liberally. i will even google randomly posted lyrics to find out which song it's from and then listen to it attentively and put it in a playlist if i like it. dont know whose god complex this is going to feed but i need to put this out there

"nanobots" the song is this deconstructed view of child development and parenthood where it's like, 'wow have you ever thought about how weird producing offspring is. like, it's weird, right! we make these little people and they quickly grow into their own individual personalities with their own lives and autonomy and I've lost all authority and there's so many and you've gotta be responsible for them all the time, what did I do !!!'
but as well as approaching it with this slightly overwhelmed perspective, there's a sort of affectionate optimism in there, too. that even tho the concept's intimidating, there's a sense of wonder in how humans develop and raising them and watching them grow up. hey this kid thing's fun actually, yeah I wish they'd leave me alone sometimes, but look at how cute and resilient they are look at what they can do. and then "replicant" is like jesus parenting a teenager is hard.

Jimi Hendrix, burning his guitar, at the Monterey Pop Festival on June 18, 1967. On that stage, he made love to his guitar, both literally and figuratively, and then proceeded to set his guitar on fire. He gave the performance of a lifetime that day. He had to follow the band, The Who, so he gave it everything that he had because he thought that they were such a great band that he should've gone first. He proved that he was as good or better than the Who, with his phenomenal performance. I love Jimi until this day. I think he was the greatest, most inspired guitarist of all time. I wish we could've heard what he had yet to offer with his music. Before he died, he was starting to venture into a jazz like style that was incredible!! Rest in peace, Jimi. I will always love you. Thank you for making the world a better place through your music. Sometimes, I still wear a bandana tied around my leg like I did all through high school l, to honor your memory. I am, forever, your little wing. 😊😍💜💜💜😇 I miss you very, very, very much. As you said in the song Voodoo Child.... I'll see you in the next world, don't be late. ❤️

my spotify wrapped being mostly female-fronted bands isn't really a hashtag feminist thing or even about me liking women, i'm not involved in bandom and just listen to whatever music makes my brain go BRRR.
but, like. when what you like is goth rock and symphonic metal......

i'd still love to see a farming sim introduce a rival marriage system that let's you influence who gets with who (à la fire emblem awakening or fates' pairing system.) i think a wonderful life would've been a great game to implement that in bc i feel all the marriage candidates could interact with each other in really interesting ways, especially if that marriage system also allowed for same sex relationships.
