Something that I think a lot of trans literature neglects (with good reason) is how much we can really, truly love our pre-transition bodies. We can be actors, models, pieces of art in our own right. There's just this sense of absolute detachment of head from body. Of numbness, of lacking, somehow. We can be the most beautiful creature anybody has ever seen, love and appreciate our perfect and glorious bodies, and still desire to change them. So many trans people see their medical transition as destruction, as complete ruin of their life's work, and yet liberating and enticing and life-saving all the same. Trans destruction is beautiful. We are always more beautiful on the other side.

Gonna be 100% honest here it is REALLY bugging me that it is (rightfully) considered wrong to ask Palestinians if they condone Hamas any time they talk about Palastine, but I often see people question pretty much every Jewish person on this website if they condone Isreal or if they don't post about Palastine on their blog enough or "correctly" they're automatically considered a zionist? How is that okay?

Before the "piss on the poor" website gets to this, I'm gonna make it explicitly clear: this website has an antisemitism problem and it is blatantly clear that a concerning amount of you hate a perceived idea of zionism, that happens just so to include every and all Jewish people, more than you care about helping Palestinians. I'm not Jewish myself, but I shouldn't have to be to call out the antisemitism absolutely swarming in leftist spaces.

If vocal proud antisemites and actual nazis use the Free Palastine movement as an outlet to be antisemitic, maybe we should take some time to address that? Make the movement safe for Jewish people?? Think about why they are using a left leaning cause to be hostile to Jewish people?

I'm ashamed of this, but I also hate Kankers x Eds. Moreover, in the cartoon I like the moments with them, but not when in the fanart they have a romantic relationship.

No need to be ashamed! I admit to being biased towards Edd and Eddy pairings, which undeniably skews my perception. Additionally, I like to interpret Marie as lesbian, herself, so...a straight relationship obviously would be out of the equation. Eddy in the show feels so consistently intimidated and scared of Lee, pairing them up long-term, even as they get older, just doesn't feel right to me. May and Ed are kind of the only Kanker x Eds ship I've really warmed up to. Hell, I even find May and Edd kind of sweet as well. I think that has a lot to do with the impression that May's romantic feelings are the most legitimate (based on the direction the AKA team seemed to have taken with the limited stuff that is written about her).

Ultimately, these are all just my personal opinions : ) so even though Kanker/Ed parings are not for me, I do respect the art and work behind some of the stuff made out there. Everyone is entitled to their interpretations of the silly cartoon show, as long as they are respectful themselves. I do enjoy how people try to interpret the Eds interactions/relationship with the Kankers and vice versa as they get older. Even at an amicable level, I think that stuff is really interesting and wish there was more of it sometimes.

#ngl I'd love to write something or other exploring that but I've got to have an idea for what will happen first #maybe some format of them making personal amends #or something along the lines of that trashed episode where the eds and kankers find out about ed and may kissing #and they get into some kind of overblown terf war lmao #anyway I hope with that earlier post you're referring to I didn't come off too mean-spirited #I mostly format my opinions strongly as a light-hearted joke but legitimately I am chill with a majority of headcanons for the show #my only real gripe is when ppl suddenly see a queer ship in a show and act all offended and whiny 'my eyes!' for shitty reasons, i had to read a bit more about conservative stances on trans bans in sports and. wow. yeah i mean they really sucked me in with "we're so concerned for girls and women" and "sport is so competitive, so many young girls really don't stand a chance to get on a team against something they cannot physically beat no matter how hard they work"...

but when it comes down to it, it's just??? "women suck and we must protect their poor feelings from losing against superior men." And at the same time, not acknowledging trans people's realities at all. Saying that the fastest woman runner would still lose against Usain Bolt and therefore, trans women shouldn't compete in women's sports? bullshit argument.

and then a handful of trans women athletically excel in their field and all these people yell and scream like "look!! we were right all along, these ~~male bodied athletes have an unfair advantage due to their biological superiority!" as if they're not talking about sports, the thing that is built on biological advantages just as much, if not more than, training and skill. "hey this guy is too tall, he shouldn't be allowed to play basketball, that would be unfair to the short guys on my team! 🥺" ... "umm hey this guy's torso is too long and his feet are flipper-like, he shouldn't be allowed to compete in swimming, that'd be so unfair! 🥺" ... "helloooo who allowed this man to compete in sprints?? has no one checked slow-twitch and fast-twitch fibres in his legs?! that's such an unfair biological advantage! 🥺"

losing sucks. losing sucks especially if your chance at a prize or scholarship or something is linked to it. but going "boohoo i only won a silver medal and therefore, all trans people ever should be excluded from all sports"?? makes you nothing but a sore loser.

a lot of sports, the way we do them, are competitive. if you dislike that, you should maybe criticize sports and the way we do them, and not the people who excel at them.
