Ok I have a narrative change to a pretty famous piece of fiction. It's called the Bible, dunno if you've heard of it. Yknow when Jesus dies and he goes to hell for 3 days and apparently fucks shit up down there?
WHY WASNT THERE AN ENTIRE BOOK ABOUT THAT?!
Like I mean book as in book of the Bible. That would've been so fucking cool. Maybe I'd even still be Christian if it existed! Like you want me to praise a God that gave himself human form just to have sex with 12 other men and then get whipped and punished, only to nowadays punish anyone who even has gay thoughts? Uh no thank you. Wait, what's that? You say he had a fucking 3 day long shonen battle with the entirety of hell itself? Fuck yeah I'll pray to that badass!

The Story Of The Paralyzed Man And Jesus
Tumblr media
Many stories in the Bible cling to our minds because we learned them as children. One of the more popular ones is the story of when Jesus healed the paralyzed man. We remember this story because of the way his friends brought him to Jesus. But now as adults, we find this story is much deeper than Jesus just healing a paralyzed man. So I will prove to you that the Son of Man has the authority on earth to forgive sins. Mark 2:10  According to the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus established His home base in Capernaum. In our chapter for today, Mark tells us that He returned to that village. When Jesus returned to Capernaum several days later, the news spread quickly that he was back home. Mark 2:1 Because the popularity of Jesus had spread throughout the region the people there were eager to see Him. Therefore it didn’t take long for a crowd to gather around Him. Soon the house where he was staying was so packed with visitors that there was no more room, even outside the door. Mark 2:2 Some men took their paralytic friend to see Jesus. They hoped to see their friend walk but knew that in the natural it was impossible. Upon their arrival, they ran into a major huddle. Four men arrived carrying a paralyzed man on a mat. They couldn’t bring him to Jesus because of the crowd . . . Mark 2:3-4 Jesus was the talk of the town so nobody wanted to give up their spot in the house. They wanted to stay as close to Him as they possibly could to hear every word He spoke.
Discouragement Could have Set In
At this point, some people may have lost hope and just taken their friend back home. And maybe a little discouragement did set in with these men, but they refused to give up. . . . so they dug a hole through the roof above his head. Then they lowered the man on his mat, right down in front of Jesus. Mark 2:4 They must have carefully removed pieces of the roof so very little debris fell on anyone. Finally, with a hole large enough, they lowered their friend down to Jesus. It brings back a childhood memory. I vividly remember a picture in a coloring book. It captured the entire story with the paralyzed man lying in front of Jesus. And his friends looking down through the hole in the roof. These four men decided that no matter what it took, they would get their friend to Jesus. The first thing that Jesus did though was to address this man’s biggest need instead of his obvious need. Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralyzed man, “My child, your sins are forgiven.” Mark 2:5 He could have easily said to the paralyzed man, you’re healed, get up and walk, end of the story. But He didn’t. What He did say stirred up the thoughts of some in the crowd. But some of the teachers of religious law who were sitting there thought to themselves, “What is he saying? This is blasphemy! Only God can forgive sins!” Mark 2:6-7

Jesus Addressed the Critics
The next verse says that Jesus immediately knew what was in their hearts. And so He addressed the critical spirit within them. Why do you question this in your hearts? Is it easier to say to the paralyzed man ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or ‘Stand up, pick up your mat, and walk’?  Mark 2:8-9 Jesus answered not only the critics in the house but the skeptics as well. He put an exclamation point at the end of the story of the paralyzed man. So I will prove to you that the Son of Man has the authority on earth to forgive sins.” Then Jesus turned to the paralyzed man and said, “Stand up, pick up your mat, and go home!” Mark 2:10-11 Then the paralyzed man who was no longer bedfast started a new chapter in the story of his life. There was no question about His healing. Because when he jumped up it amazed everyone. And the man jumped up, grabbed his mat, and walked out through the stunned onlookers. They were all amazed and praised God, exclaiming, “We’ve never seen anything like this before!” Mark 2:12

How the Story of the Paralyzed Man Relates to Us
As I think through this story about this paralyzed man four things come to mind. The men, the roof, the crowd, and the man.  First the men. Without them, there would be no story. When the man was lowered down to Jesus, verse 5 says “seeing their faith.” We can only assume that the paralyzed man had faith. But we know his friends did because they exercised it. They demonstrated a beautiful illustration for us of “faith without works is dead.” This brings us to the part about how the roof fits into this story. First of all, getting to Jesus is always easy. The enemy of our soul, however, will try to convince us otherwise. He will as sure as anything, put obstacles in our way. Too many times we view those obstacles as immovable. But their not. Now let’s talk about the crowd. They may sometimes stand in our way but we can’t consider them as obstacles. Just like you, God created them and He loves them. As in the story of the paralyzed man the crowd today still becomes intrigued with the miraculous. And also just like in this story every crowd contains critics and skeptics as well. Last but not least we must talk about the man. His life was changed in more ways than one. His friends took him to Jesus to receive a healing. And praise God, he received it. I have to say though, we don’t necessarily understand healing. We can pray for someone and they get healed. Others we pray for and they don’t get healed. Why? We really don’t know.
The Main Point Behind this Story of the Paralyzed Man
Some people blame it on a lack of faith. But I know unhealed people with great faith. When it comes to praying for the sick, we must follow what the Word says and trust God for the answer.
Tumblr media
But there is more to the story of this paralyzed man. The first thing that Jesus said to this man was “My child, your sins are forgiven.”  What did Jesus teach us when He said that? Our souls are much more important than our physical healing. The forgiveness of our sins is our greatest need. We can enter eternity with a physical ailment in our bodies and still go to heaven. He will take our weak mortal bodies and change them into glorious bodies like his own, using the same power with which he will bring everything under his control. Philippians 3:21 We must ask the Lord to forgive us our sins before we enter eternity. Because if we don’t we will perish for all eternity. That is why Jesus forgave his sins first. If you have a physical need or know someone who does, continue to pray for healing. Put your complete faith in God and trust Him for the outcome. Kings David went through many hardships in his life. Yet wrote these words to encourage all of us to completely trust in the Lord. The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand. Psalm 37:23-24 Lord, thank you for directing our steps. Encourage us in our times of doubt so we don’t stay there. *RHAPSODY OF REALITIES*
*PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME DSc DD*
*RECEIVE THE WORD WITH A SINCERE HEART*
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 29TH
*I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil (Psalm 119:162).*
When Jesus preached, there were those who listened to him and believed, and there were those who were critical and only listened to find fault with Him. The Pharisees sent spies who posed as honest inquirers, hoping to trick Jesus into saying something that would get him in trouble with the Law. They asked Him, “Tell us: Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar or not?”(Luke 20:22 MSG).
The question was a trap, but Jesus recognized and understood their unscrupulousness and guile; so, He pointed them to the Roman denarius (a coin) with Caesar’s image on it, and said, “…give Caesar what is his and give God what is his” (Luke 20:25 MSG). They weren’t there to listen to Him, believe and be blessed, no! They wanted to trap Him with His speech, but Jesus is wisdom personified.
Mark 12:13 says, “And they send unto him certain of the Pharisees and of the Herodians, to catch him in his words.” In Matthew’s account, he wrote, “Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel how they might entangle him in his talk” (Matthew 22:15). Luke 20:20 says, “And they watched him, and sent forth spies, which should feign themselves just men, that they might take hold of his words, that so they might deliver him unto the power and authority of the governor.”
Can you see the different reasons for which some of them attended His meetings? Did Jesus know? Emphatically yes! But He didn’t expose them; He let them make up their minds for themselves after listening to His teachings. It’s the same today; how do you receive the Word? Do you receive it with a sincere heart?
The Bible says, “So get rid of all uncleanness and the rampant  outgrowth of wickedness, and in a humble (gentle, modest) spirit receive and welcome the Word which implanted and rooted [in your hearts] contains the power to save your souls” (James 1:21 AMPC). When you hear the Word of God, take it as it is in truth, with a genuine, truthful, sincere and honest heart. Remember, His Word is His Wisdom. Proverbs 4:5-6 says, “Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.”
*PRAYER*
*Dear Father, your wisdom is functioning in me, and I’m excelling in good judgment, having the right ideas and making the right decisions. I’m propelled by the Word, listening with the right heart to the voice of wisdom. I say and do the right things, at the right time, for the right purpose, for your glory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*

Embracing Love: A Journey of Loving God, Self, and Others
Tumblr media
Introduction:
In a world filled with chaos and uncertainty, the concept of love remains a steadfast beacon of hope and positivity. As a Momma Warrior, you understand the power of love in nurturing your family and guiding them through life's challenges. But beyond familial love, there's a deeper, more profound love that transcends all boundaries - the love for God, self, and others. This journey of love is not always easy, especially when faced with adversity, injustice, or mistreatment. Yet, it is during these moments of trial that the true strength and transformative power of love are revealed. It's about embracing love not just when it's convenient or comfortable, but especially when it's challenging. In this post, we'll explore the transformative journey of embracing love in its purest form, even in the face of adversity, and how it can lead to a life of fulfillment, purpose, and profound impact.
Section 1: Loving God
Loving God is the cornerstone of many spiritual practices. It involves cultivating a deep connection with the divine and surrendering to the higher power's wisdom and guidance. Here are some ways to deepen your love for God:
Prayer and Meditation: Set aside time each day to commune with God through prayer and meditation. This allows you to quiet the mind and open your heart to divine love and guidance.
Study of Sacred Texts: Immerse yourself in the teachings of your faith tradition's sacred texts. Whether it's the Bible, the Quran, the Bhagavad Gita, or any other spiritual text, studying these scriptures can deepen your understanding of God's love and wisdom.
Service to Others: Show your love for God by serving others selflessly. Volunteer at local charities, help those in need, and spread kindness wherever you go. By serving others, you're expressing your love for God through your actions.
Gratitude Practice: Cultivate an attitude of gratitude towards God for the blessings in your life. Take time each day to reflect on the things you're grateful for, whether it's your family, your health, or the beauty of nature.
Action: Begin your journey of loving God by incorporating daily prayer, meditation, and gratitude practice into your routine. Set aside a few minutes each day to connect with the divine and express your gratitude for the blessings in your life.
Section 2: Loving Self
Self-love is the foundation of emotional well-being and personal growth. It involves accepting yourself unconditionally, flaws and all, and treating yourself with kindness and compassion. Here are some ways to cultivate self-love:
Self-Care Routine: Prioritize self-care by taking care of your physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. This can include exercise, healthy eating, adequate sleep, and activities that bring you joy and relaxation.
Positive Affirmations: Practice positive self-talk by affirming your worth and value. Repeat affirmations such as "I am worthy of love and happiness" or "I embrace my unique gifts and talents" to boost your self-esteem and confidence.
Set Boundaries: Learn to set healthy boundaries in your relationships and prioritize your needs and well-being. Saying no to things that drain your energy and saying yes to activities that nourish your soul is an act of self-love.
Forgiveness: Release resentment and bitterness towards yourself for past mistakes or shortcomings. Practice self-forgiveness and let go of self-criticism, embracing a mindset of compassion and acceptance.
Action: Start your self-love journey by creating a self-care routine that prioritizes your physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Set aside time each day for activities that bring you joy and nourishment, whether it's taking a bubble bath, practicing yoga, or journaling your thoughts and feelings.
Section 3: Loving Others
Loving others is an expression of our interconnectedness and shared humanity. It involves seeing the divine spark in every person and treating them with kindness, compassion, and respect. Here's how you can cultivate love for others:
Practice Empathy: Put yourself in others' shoes and seek to understand their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Cultivate empathy by listening actively, validating their emotions, and offering support without judgment.
Acts of Kindness: Spread love and kindness wherever you go by performing random acts of kindness. Whether it's complimenting a stranger, helping a neighbor in need, or volunteering at a local charity, small gestures can make a big difference in someone's day.
Forgiveness: Release resentment and anger towards those who have wronged you and choose to forgive them for their mistakes. Forgiveness is a powerful act of love that frees you from the burden of resentment and allows you to move forward with compassion and grace.
Cultivate Connection: Build meaningful connections with others by fostering open, honest, and authentic relationships. Share your joys and sorrows, celebrate each other's successes, and offer support during difficult times.
Action: Take the first step towards loving others by performing a random act of kindness today. Whether it's smiling at a stranger, holding the door open for someone, or sending a thoughtful message to a friend, spreading love and kindness wherever you go.

Choose forgiveness as a way to release yourself from the burden of resentment and anger. Remember that forgiveness doesn't mean condoning the other person's actions but rather freeing yourself from the negative emotions associated with the situation.
Respond with kindness and compassion, even in the face of adversity. This could involve setting healthy boundaries to protect yourself while still treating the other person with respect and dignity. Showing love in difficult situations can be a profound act of strength and grace, ultimately leading to healing and reconciliation.
By choosing to respond with love, you not only uplift yourself but also contribute to creating a more compassionate and harmonious world.

Book Review: Come, Lord Jesus, by John Piper
Tumblr media
How should the return of Christ compel Christians today? In Come, Lord Jesus, John Piper presents meditations on the second coming of Christ.
Glory and Love
Piper begins his book by showcasing the glory of the second coming of Christ. He ties it to our hearts and how we are to love his appearing (2 Timothy 4:6-8). This is a careful and worshipful work.
I was most thrilled to read in Chapter 5 about the grace that will be brought to us at the revelation of Christ. When Christ comes, it will be terrifying. He brings condemnation for those who have rebelled against him. But for those who are his, he brings grace. His heart disposition towards us is love. After I read this, I couldn’t help but worship, and I was inspired to work harder for the Kingdom as we wait for his return.
Physical and Spiritual Perfection
I was most moved to read in Chapter 7, where Piper speaks on how we will be perfected at Christ’s second coming. While I tend to stress the physical aspects of being perfected, Piper helped me anticipate the spiritual aspects of perfection. “Both physical resurrection and spiritual transformation are essentail for God’s ultimate purposes to be fulfilled. His people must undergo both bodily and moral perfecting.”
As always, I appreciate Piper for tackling difficult questions. In Chapter 11, he answers how we can rejoice in the hope of our diverse rewards at the appearing of Christ: (1) We will have no condemnation, (2) every good will be rewarded, (3) no faithful suffering will go unrewarded, (4) we will be able to experience loss sinlessly, (5) your greater reward will be part of my joy, and (6) we will have increased capacity for joy in God. Piper thinks through the issues thoroughly, biblically, and critically.
Timing and Implications
Piper also answers the question of the timing of his return. He proves that Jesus did not teach that he would return within one generation, and he goes on to show that it is safe to say that the second coming is potentially near. Piper reveals why he believes there isa. second coming of Christ, and that “the pretribulational position cannot offer compelling support for the view that the New Testament teaches an any-moment return of Jesus.” According to 2 Thess. 2:3, the man of lawlessness must come before Christ’s appearing.
The last section of the book is intensely practical, with applications to the fact that Christ commands us to watch, be awake, be alert, be ready, and take heed. I was most challenged to see that we must continue doing our earthly work faithfully, and that it becomes increasingly more important for Christians to meet together and go to church as we see the day drawing near. We continue to pray for missions and for Christ to come as a consummation of his Kingdom.
Enter Into Joy
Personal fellowship with our Savior is something we all can look forward to. It will be joyous like a wedding feast. We will enter into the joy of our master. I can’t help but love and long for his appearing.
I received a media copy of Come, Lord Jesus and this is my honest review. My Issues with Butch Hartman
Tumblr media
Call this the sequel to my post on Mr. Enter. But honestly compared to Enter, Butch Hartman has made himself look far worse in so little time. Not only with how he uses his influence, but he basically showed his true colors not long after he left Nickelodeon. With Enter, the worst you can say about him is his opinions on media and his politics. With Hartman, there is a surprisingly lot more under his belt that made the hate towards him .
To preface this, while I’m gonna shit on this dude, I’m not shaming anyone who still likes his past content. With that said, bibbity Boppity boopity. Let’s look at the fucking scoopity.
The Telltale Oaxis
This really takes the cake as the scummiest thing Butch has done. Words and opinions can be one thing, but using your platform to basically trick some people out of their money for a project you abandoned for the most part grinds me gears a lot more. As bad as his marketing strategy was, at least Enter provided effort in his indiegogo project beforehand for god’s sake. Oaxis is one of the most pitiable crowdfunded projects I’ve seen.
It’s nearly two years since Butch got Oaxis funded and what have gotten beyond pure dead silence. Nearly two years and little to no significant updates for Oaxis’s Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, his Youtube, or the site’s official account. No wait, that last part’s kind of a lie. They had monthly updates on the official site up until September 2019. Could’ve posted this on their social medias but you take what you can get.
The major takeaway from the updates, in all fairness, was that the kickstarter wasn’t enough and they still need to raise more funds for the service. The “capital-building” stage he calls it where he’s looking for more investors in addition to getting actual programs onto the service. That and Oaxis is a big vision for Butch and his wife in spite of not only giving up the monthly updates and basically secluding any mention of Oaxis from any place else. That’s basically it and I legit feel sorry for everyone that couldn’t get their refund back.
This isn’t HBO Max or Disney+ where you just expect them to have something together after their initial announcement because they’re already media conglomerates, this is an independent project. One that people, your fans included Butch, put over 200K thinking you would at least give people something. But beyond a “sizzle reel” that said nothing aside from Oaxis going to be a thing, you have presented jack after two years. I don’t expect the ins and outs of every business meeting with executives, but staying silent about everything except for monthly newsletters that offer very little encouraging progress and hasn’t updated since September of last year is not a good sign. And I’m especially hard on this topic, Butch, because this is the biggest point where it is seriously hard to trust you. It’s not criticizing your ego when after having too many cracks in your story, you really haven’t put your money where your mouth is.
I don’t wanna presume the guy’s given up on it, hoping everybody would forget it after a while, but he’s really put the effort in to make Oaxis feel like a afterthought. I’m not an expert in business, but even I can believe that after his non-apology for not being upfront with his initial intentions, that he’d try to provide updates on the project to not come off as the scam artist people have accused him as. Even with his Youtube channel that I’ll get to later, I don’t think it’s hard consistently posting about your so called vision if you have that much faith in its success. You’ve already gotten thousands of bucks initially with the crowdfund, people deserve more than your pitiful wishful platitudes and I unfortunately can’t believe you’ll have anything after a few years. It’s not that everyone forgot about it, but you mostly took the money and ran. If Butch pops up with something if he sees this somehow, I’ll eat that crow, but I sincerely doubt it after this long. Like at least post something on the Twitter, I get depressed just looking at it; that account is the textbook definition of famine.
The Childhood Reposter
I’ve brought up Butch’s youtube channel a couple times, and it’s when every time I look at it, it’s a little sad. When it comes to major creators, I typically think that after finishing their projects they’d move to newer things. People like Lauren Faust, Mike Judge, CH Greenblatt are all continuing to make new works under differing studios while new creators are getting the spotlight. Butch though? I mean, he has a new cartoon that I swear you’ve never heard about but other than that, the dude looks like he has little to say for himself nowadays beyond the 2 shows he’s famous for, Fairly Odd Parents and Danny Phantom. I would’ve added TUFF Puppy and Bunsen is a Beast but I can see that those two aren’t his major players seeing as how they’re rarely ever mentioned on the channel.
If it’s not some watchmojo level meme video, almost every other video is about either two of those shows in some varied fashion. I get that he “created your childhood” and made credulous bank from Nickelodeon, but it’s like Danny Phantom is all that stands between him and having an audience. That and drawing anime characters in his style which is... y’know, I’ll leave that to you. It’s like he retired and yet goes on about the good old days like a fluctuating ego. He’s still making a cartoon but to him that’s hardly a factor compared to his known successes.
Personally, I wouldn’t want to just be known as the guy who made two of your countless beloved cartoons. Not that that’s all he talks about, but it’s the insistence of his legacy that unfortunately gives me Bojack Horseman vibes. He no doubt has a good thing going but I believe that this isn’t gonna last. Just saying, dude has 850K subscribers and unless it’s a real hook like with the recent Danny Phantom/Jake Long death battle, he’s hardly getting a good fraction of views anymore. There’s only so many times you can milk Danny Phantom as your masterpiece before everyone moves on.
The Holy Boast
I wanna make this short because I’m not a huge talker of religion, but I stand to say that you should NOT, under any circumstance, believe BPD, PTSD, autism, fucking heart & kidney failure can be “cured” or “healed” through sermons of prayer. This here? This is genuinely something else.
https://www.healingjourneys.today/
Tumblr media
For clarity, this was a gospel conference hosted by Butch and his wife and yes, they openly proclaim that BPD, austism, and heart disease can be cured through prayer of holy worship.
Now, I’m gonna give a full disclosure right here because this most certainly biases my point here, like I’m gonna own this. But my grandpa was a religious man that suffer from health problems. He notably prayed to carry on, yes, but at the same time he sought medical help. Even he told me that prayers wasn’t gonna keep the pacemaker going, he went to the doctors and actually did more than read the bible to improve himself. He unfortunately passed, but he was in his 70s and I honestly couldn’t believe, as hard as I try, that he was gonna live forever. My grandpa would’ve no doubt died far earlier if he followed this conference’s logic.
My point is that this is personally unsettling. I seriously cannot believe this is how autism and religion works and it blows my mind that him and his wife thought this conference was a suitable idea. I’m not bashing them as christians, but thinking mental disorders and bodily diseases can be done away with motivational seminars because that’s basically what they are is a legit slap to the face. And the seedling idea that they’ve done this before blows my mind.
The Financial Flaker
This is very recent and everything is generally explained in the 12 minute video but long story short: Butch hired an artist and never paid them for their work. The artist in question, Kuro, describes what happened between him and Butch in this video and provides receipts. Can’t really add anything to this myself beyond this just builds to the idea that Butch cannot be trusted as a professional business maker. I believe he still has people working for him but from this video, it tells me that Hartman will gladly use those lower than him in favorable pursuits and will gladly throw ignorance when he wants to because his cartoon veteran status presents that shield from thinking he can do no wrong, which can mean throttling his hires.  Let’s end this.
youtube
The Conclusion
When I get down to it, Butch is almost a Machiavellian character in a way. It’s amazing how much the trust people have had with Hartman have evaporated in less than a couple years. It’s amazing how much his ego has truly shown after he stopped being a namestay in Nickelodeon. Haven’t even mentioned the times he arrogantly deflected criticism because he was a namestay at Nick and how a couple who’ve worked with are well aware of his ego. I can’t help but believe that even after everything, he claims ignorance to his fall from grace and keeps going. Even when more and more are knowing his true self, he’s mostly just doing what he’s been doing for the past few years.
It’s respectable in a way, but shows that the world will move on without him. Again, if you like Danny Phantom and Fairly OddParents, I won’t judge you for it nor say you should be ashamed. This isn’t about cancelling Butch, or get him to stop spreading whatever wacky things he believes in. It’s my personal take of how this man whom I once respected because of what he made before has lost every bit of that from me. It really feels like he grew up with that “I Created Your Childhood” mentality being a 4 time showrunner for almost a couple decades. And when he finally left Nickelodeon, I guess the chance to be that stand out self-made success got to his head and he finally showed his true colors. I now find it hard to believe Butch cares about the little guy that were his fans as much as he rides off his success and others who tolerate him. As such, like JK Rowling, more are seeing this side of him and leaving him behind. Meanwhile Butch is gonna chug on until he just loses steam. It’s kinda like Icarus where the guy will make every effort to fly to the sun. But sooner or later, he’s gonna fall, and in the end I doubt anyone’s gonna care to see it. I know he won’t.

"but he murdered people”
This is a post about Goro Akechi, murder, its aftermath, trauma, and two things that are in real short fucking supply around here: critical thinking and empathy.
Listen, I’m a veteran of the Dragon Age fandom. If you want to talk about toxic fandoms, they’re your Bible. As far as your Judas Iscariots and Nebuchadnezzars go, I was one of them. I’ve seen it, I’ve done it, and I’m done with it. It’s exhausting to carry that much rage inside of you, to live it actively every second of every day, and to inflict it on other people and laugh about it. So I’ve been disengaged, largely, for a few years.
And now I’m in the Persona 5 fandom and find myself enthusiastically appreciating Goro Akechi, because who doesn’t love complex, morally flawed, ambiguously gay-coded characters? Shit, maybe you’re not on board, but I’ll sign right up. I’m a relative newcomer, despite being a longtime Persona fan and playing P5 around when it came out, because I didn’t engage with the fandom then. I jumped back in with the Royal announcement and absolutely saturated myself in this vibrant fan space. Invested in the idea of Akechi being explored as a fully fleshed-out character, I find myself following Goroboys. Which is great! Because so far, they’re all great! Nicest bunch of people you could ever hope to meet!
Except there’s Discourse. There’s always been Discourse, I find, but this is my first exposure to it in this fandom. This weekend was my first week of seeing Goro antis active, seeing people I follow, people I like and appreciate and some I considering genuine friends, actively attacked and harassed because they like a fictional teenage character who killed some other fictional people in a fictional world where you, playing as the main character, have the ability to perform a metaphysical lobotomy on people who literally can’t consent. Here I thought the only people who hated Akechi were white cishet men who saw his rage against a parent and said, “Nah, too bitchy for me,” because they’re too afraid to look in a mirror and see Masayoshi Shido’s fascist, misogynistic mug staring back.
Are you awake yet? Have I woken you up to the fact that Persona 5′s premise is a wish-fulfillment fantasy of “what if I could make the person who took advantage of me when I was a teenager apologize in front of the entire world by using an alternate fantasy dimension to completely violate their brain”?
I see my friends saying, “Wow, it’s amazing how people who hate Akechi can’t leave people who like Akechi alone,” and within an hour they have replies saying MURDER IS MURDER as if they know what murder actually is.
We’re about to get real personal up in here because maybe, only then, will some of you people take the hint that your behavior borders on actively bullying other people on the internet over a fictional character.
Ready? Here goes.
Murder is your mom picking you up from summer camp three weeks after your ninth birthday, driving you to your grandparents’ house, and telling you that when daddy was at work today, someone tried to steal the money, and they had a gun. Daddy was brave and Daddy died.
Murder is blacking out when you’re nine years old and coming to to yourself two houses away on a neighbor’s swing set with crickets chirping in your ears and the crushing reality of never seeing your father again turning your brain into static.
Murder is asking your mother if she asked for the death penalty, and your mother telling you, in a pleading voice, that she didn’t because he was mentally ill and it didn’t feel right. Murder is feeling angry afterwards because you feel like something was taken away from you, and something should be exchanged for that. Because that’s how fairness works, right? If you steal candy from the store, you have to give up your allowance for the next five months.
Murder is realizing you’re an atheist at fourteen and driving past the cemetery where your father’s remains are interred, and having the gut-punching, soul-suffocating realization of what never ever ever actually means. Murder is building an internal cosmology where forever means my atoms and yours, creating new life in perpetuity as the comfort you drag out of the west’s cold, uncaring atheism that never found its own poetry.
Murder is your first two years in college, when you discover social justice and realize the world is bigger than your own life experiences, and that violence at the bottom is a reactionary symptom against violence at the top. Murder is understanding the fact that the man who killed your father was himself a victim of a racist, ableist, capitalist society with a morally bankrupt healthcare system, and that every single one of those things is in and of itself is more hateful than the act of your father bleeding out in the parking lot, in the ambulance, on the operating table.
Murder is your mother confessing to you in college that your father was physically abusive of her and that she had threatened him, only weeks before he was killed, that she would leave and take her daughters with her if he didn’t change. Murder is knowing that your father ran after an armed robber because he was raised by a Sicilian father in a household overflowing with toxic masculinity, and what killed your father wasn’t a man with a gun: what killed your father was the patriarchy whispering in his ear, This theft emasculates you.
Murder is looking your own mother in the eye and telling her that one day you want to visit the man who killed your father and open your heart to him, because all you can think is, He didn’t plan this. He can’t have wanted this. What must it feel like to kill someone without intending to and then have to live with that for the rest of your life with no one to help you? Murder is the sound of betrayal in your mother’s voice when she responds, disbelieving.
Murder is spending years wanting to at least write to him, and then forgetting, and then going back, because you are a fluid, impermanent, imperfect person with your own flaws and failures and mental issues that hold you back from being the paragon you want to be. Murder is throwing yourself into the left and embracing prison abolition so hard it hurts, because you know that if the state can lock up someone who doesn’t “matter,” the state can lock up anyone.
Murder is throwing away or selling every childhood thing you ever possessed because you are not by nature a sentimental person, but never giving up that doll you were gifted, the doll you coveted and wanted more than anything else, three weeks before your father was shot and killed. You have no pictures, no mementos, no nothing, but she sits at the top of your bookshelf to this day, a weighty child goddess, the symbol of your torn and labyrinthine childhood.
Murder is having to see a bunch of petty-ass people using actual trauma that real life people have experienced and continue to experience to directly and repeatedly harass your friends online (and yourself, indirectly, by tagging their hateful shit) because you and your friends like a fictional fucking character who, by nature of being fictional, did not actually murder any real existing people.
Murder is building your entire identity around how you sympathize, deeply, with the person who killed your own father, because that takes hard work and deep empathy and the ability to see past a lot of bullshit just to get to that point, and having some fuck-ass anons act like none of that matters because there is (apparently, I must assume) some omnipotent god of justice saying “Fuck you and everything you’ve been through” that apparently only these bullies can hear.
Murder is seeing fandom moralizers talk about murder like they understand it. Like they’ve read this, plus the last ten-plus paragraphs, and decided they know best anyway because mommy and daddy always told them Criminals Are Bad and walked wide-eyed and innocent into a social network overrun with TERFs, exclusionists, and a rotten segment of the political left that acts like some extras straight out of The Crucible.
I have never once been triggered by anything relating to my father’s murder. I cried at the Resurrection Stone scene in The Deathly Hallows, I cried when I completed when I completed the DA2 DLC Legacy after the end of act 2. When I see a parent die, I have an emotional reaction, because it’s familiar.
But the Akechi antis who all say “but he killed people!”, The Akechi antis who say “murder is still murder”?
The murder of my father is still murder. The man who killed him, his murderer, is still regardless a human being, the man who killed him deserves sympathy and compassion and understanding and respect and, above all, a chance.
I am a living example of what’s left behind when someone is murdered. You can walk into the mausoleum where my father is interred, face his headstone, and let the earth open up beneath you and drop you into hell.
So most sincerely, from someone who lost their father to gun violence, to armed robbery, to murder: Stop fucking using our lived experiences as your justification to harass and bully people online for committing the Grave Moral Sin of just liking a video game character.
Between the fact that the American government is keeping real people in concentration camps and a bunch of strangers on the internet liking a twiggy teenage anime boy who used a fantasy world to kill people who don’t exist, which one is actually important to deserve your moral outrage?
You’ll die eventually; fascism won’t kill itself.

SPN Season 15 Spoiler Sheet, update 11/11
Hello! I finally had some time to clean this up a bit. I am going to make a separate post about old episodes if anyone wants to reference the past. I also pulled out some general spoilers that have already happened to keep this shorter. It’s getting to be a monster with length.
As for updates, we got some nuggets from Jensen and Misha while promoting their latest projects. No pictures yet for ep 5 because of the holiday. Also no description for 7 yet because there will be a week off for Thanksgiving. Hopefully JaxCon will have some juicy updates like DC did. Under the cut!
DISCLAIMER: This is gathered info from various sources. This is not confirmed information. Stuff in this WILL be wrong. Don’t take this too seriously. This is for fun.
General Info (oldest to newest)
There is hope to wrap up some Wayward Daughters storylines in the back half of the season
They are adding a whole extra day to filming to do the final scene. They will film the final scene last.  (Implies logistics- lots of returning people?)
Brad Bucker used the word “romance” when asked about Sam and Dean’s arcs. Did not specify who.
In an interview, Kripe indicated that the series ending would have “peace” for Sam and Dean
Not much new at the TCA’s, but it was said it is “unlikely” Jeffery Dean Morgan will be back since his last appearance was such a good end note. There were some jokes about a Castiel spin off. Hell, I’d watch.
There will be a special tribute ep, not clear if its one of the 20 or additional
Misha will be in 15 out of 20 episodes this season
According to Dabb, Sam and Dean are going to start to lose people who, in past seasons, we would’ve never lost — and lose them in a very real way. Our guys are going to realize there’s a certain finality, and some of the things they’ve relied on to get through the day — people, talents, things like that — they are no longer going to be able to roll out. And that’s going to throw them for a loop
Also according to Dabb, Jack is still in the empty and “he’s not coming back in the near future”
Cas’ deal with the Empty may come up later in the season.
Dabb intimated that Chuck was inherently responsible for killing Mary when asked how the boys would respond to Jack.
Adam Rose, who played Aaron Bass from the golem episode vauge-tweeted about working a show with two badass leads. Could be Supernatural, but I think the timing is off- he indicated he was filming late Friday night.
Dabb compared Chuck and John Winchester, claiming that Dean would have to break free of “conditioning.” Also, for Jack “there have been cosmic forces fighting for his attention since he was in the womb — and that will continue. As much as this season is about Sam and Dean finding agency, it’s also about Castiel finding agency, and it’s about Jack finding agency. As always, death is never the end. It’s just part of the journey and that’s certainly true with Jack.”
Per Variety: At the outset of the season, the “Supernatural” foursome of Dean, Sam, Castiel and Jack are split up, but Dabb notes they won’t be for long because “ultimately this is a found family, and they have deep emotional bonds” that make up the most important part of the show.
Sam’s wound from the equalizer gives his powers/an advantage of some kind (per TVGuide)
Jack will be a critical part of the ending of the show
The cage/Adam is looking like it will be coming up for midseason
Shaving People, Punting Things: https://youtu.be/azTwku2uosA
The shaving promo, punting things promo shows glimpses or Lucifer!Sam and MOC!Dean, as well as bearded Dean in tactical equipment. Recent interviews by Dabb seem to indicate that these are glimpses into other universes, a la Apocalypse World, and other endings from Sam and Dean.
According to the MarySue and other interviews, Sam’s bullet hole will give him a connection and insight to god- like a tin can telephone string.
In the cage, Micheal and Adam have formed a working relationship (MarySue)
Dean and Amara’s connection will be explored
There will be a bunker themed episode (MarySue)
According to Misha (Cinablend) Dean and Cas will have discord up to ep 8- which is the mid-season finale.
At a convention, Jake Abel was asked to share two lies about Adam’s return and a truth. The said 1. Adam is not upset about hell 2. Adam kills someone 3. Adam bring someone back. I am assuming its the bring someone back (Micheal?)
In one of his cookbook interviews, Misha used the word “we” several times when talking about the final scene of Supernatural. He said that would be the last scene they shoot. It seemed to imply that he was in the scene, but that could be open to interpretation.
The finale will air on Monday May 18th. The show will move to Mondays when it comes back on March 16th. It’s gotta come back either than that and go on a mini break or something, because that is not enough Mondays.

Misha and Jensen made a video from set. I feel like if Jared was around he would have been in it since it was about money raised?  Maybe a Dean Cas scene?
There will be a battle scene in this that Jensen mentioned he was looking forward to and we would enjoy.
After NJ Con, it appeared that Jensen returned to work, Jared and Misha stayed an extra day and then Misha went home. Misha only did about 2 days of filming.
Jensen and Christian filmed at a bar called Swazey’s. This was the fight scene Jensen was referring to.
At some point, Sam might be shirtless or we can see part of his chest- Jared had his anti-possession tattoo at the weekend convention.
Per TVGuide, Leo and Dean will have a wild night out in an effort for Dean to recapture his mojo. Dean will become the lead of a band called Dean and the Impalas, which is made up of Supernatural crew.

>>Faking a marriage before God?<< - Not “Just a lesson from the Courtroom” but an answer from the life experience of a Christian minister
Tumblr media
“Stühle” by Hans
Consolation and Hope for the hurting hearts. Everything under the line.
As I have taken up to comment on several things concerning OL in the past under the title “Just some lessons from the courtroom”, I have decided to comment on a post I read around the “happenings” and rumors of the last weekend - this time from the viewpoint of my other profession.
As many of my followers know, I worked for several decades at one of the biggest district courts of my country (mainly as a Senior Administrator for International Legal Assistance in Criminal Law). But I am also an ordained minister and certified counselor of the Christian faith for (this year exactly) 30 years. And since 1991 I always worked both jobs - one as my 7 am to 3:30 pm job, the other one in the evenings and on weekends.
In the said post, a person asked:
“But would they really fake a marriage before God?”*
The moment I read the said question, I could feel the horror behind it. I sensed sorrow and hurt.
Before I comment on that question, let me explain the following: When I came to the OL fandom on Tumblr, I was surprised by a large number of people who  - after I got to know them -  revealed themselves as people of deep faith and spirituality to me. I met people from all religious backgrounds, different denominations, etc. And let me make this very clear:          I respect all of you, every single one. Even if we don’t share the same convictions, the same kind of faith. I respect you all - and I also respect every person who calls himself/herself an atheist. Because faith, in my conviction, is a very personal decision and only a personal decision. Having said that, I like to comment on the last weekend and the said question. For an introvert like me, it is not an easy thing to post such personal things here. Please don’t think I want to preach at you. All I want is to give you the consolation that was given to me:
1. A hard truth
First I have to state a very hard truth. 30 years of ministry have taught me, that everything holy to God and men, can and will be faked. Let me give you some examples:
I saw a man faking the Christian confession and baptism - before God! - because he wanted to marry a lady of deep faith.
I saw a man faking the Christian walk of faith, showing a very pious lifestyle - before God! and the whole parish - while he was beating his wife at home regularly.**
I saw several men and women faking a marriage before God, speaking their vows but never taking them seriously.
I saw a man faking the Christian walk of faith - before God! -, calling himself and his church “the only elect of God” while offending and humiliating foreigners and people of a different faith.
These are only four of my many personal observations. We could go on and mention all those men (and some women too!) who called themselves “servants of God” while they were sexually abusing innocent children. We could mention the superiors of these people, who tried to hide these criminal acts before state authorities - a behavior that enabled the predators to molest and destroy even more innocent lives. We could mention the leaders of a distinct megachurch who were not willing to open their multi-million-dollar-building to help the victims of a hurricane. We could mention a high-ranking representative of “the only church of God”, flying to India first class for visiting the poor while building himself a villa for 35 million Euros in Germany (paid by the financial support of the common church member). We could mention all of those Christians, who believe they need killing machines (aka automatic weapons) because the Almighty God, they confess their faith in, obviously isn’t mighty enough to save His followers. These (and other people) have no problem to fake sacred things before God because - honestly - they only believe in two idols: themselves and the money they can get.
All of this contradicts the Christian faith, the gospel, the teaching of Christ. All this is fake before God. All this is shameful and hurting for those, who believe and honestly and humbly walk by their faith. But there is
2. No Need for Despair, but consolation for the hurting heart          We have to face the truth. If we don’t do it and if we shamefully try to hide it, we are in danger of becoming “Fakers of the Faith” ourselves. That is absolutely no alternative! Remember that Christ taught us, that the truth has the power to set us free (John 8:32).          Seeing, experiencing, that people fake all kinds of holy things before God, has hurt and saddened me deeply, but I am not in despair. I didn't lose my faith, no, contrary, my faith in God became even stronger. Why?          The answer lies in the teaching of Christ, especially in the parable, which is called “The Parable of the Tares” (Matthew 13, 24 ff.)          In this prophetic parable, Christ makes it clear to His disciples, that in later times there will be two kinds of people in the realm of faith: Those, who are like genuine wheat and those who are pseudo-wheat. I know, many bible translations use the word “tares” or “weed”. But if you do an in-depth study of the background of this parable, you will find that the difference is not between “wheat” and “weed”/”tares”, but between “wheat” and “pseudo-wheat”. The word, used in the original Greek of the New Testament, is “ζιζάνιον” (zizanion). It is the Greek name for a plant also known under the Latin name “Lolium temulentum”, “poison darnel” in English or “Taummelloch” in German.             This plant looks like true wheat, but it can’t bear the real fruit. It is nothing but a fake! When you eat from this plant, it unfolds a poisonous effect. This can lead to dizziness, blindness and in the worst case even to death. That is exactly the spiritual effect fake-believers can have: their fake-Christianity will confuse you, tries to blind you for the truth and tries to kill your faith.   3. But how should we react to fake-faith and pseudo-believers?
From the said parable we learn first and foremost: Never concentrate on fake-faith or pseudo-believers! Concentrate on the truth and on the all-knowing God, who loved us so much that He warned us before it happened. God is not surprised and you shouldn't be either. Therein lies my greatest consolation. The God who knew all of this before (including the last weekend fake) is still able to change everything.         Don’t react with hate, hateful speech or with a judgemental spirit! Be aware, that by giving room to these kinds of feelings, you betray your own values and the truth you stand for. Jesus, knowing that these questions would arise, answered them in the parable:          “So the servants said to him, ‘Then do you want us to go and gather them?’ But he said, ‘No, lest in gathering the weeds you root up the wheat along with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at harvest time I will tell the reapers, “Gather the weeds first and bind them in bundles to be burned, but gather the wheat into my barn.“ (Matthew 13, 28 ff.)         It is not mine nor your duty, to judge who is true/honest and who just fake’s it. Neither you nor I know the hearts like God does. Therefore God is the only One who can justly judge everyone and trust me, He will do it. But there are also several things for you and me to do:
Don’t let the pseudo-wheat blind your eyes for the truth or for the power of God. Don’t let all of this discourage you. God in His love warned us before it happened. He is not surprised. He is still the same God, mighty to help. He can’t be shaken and He still owns tomorrow. Nothing is hopeless, nothing is lost until the last day of this dispensation of grace has ended.
Live the truth humbly, walk in the truth daily.
Care for the fakers. They are in a dangerous place. Why? In 30 years of service, I have witnessed it again and again: Living a lie always leads to more lies and that leads away from true joy, true peace, and true happiness. One lie calls for another lie and in the end, all these lies lead to despair. Therefore, care for the fakers from depths of your heart! These people need you and your prayers! Pray for them and don’t stop doing so. Pray that the truth will reach and fill their heart again. Pray that they don’t miss the mercy and grace of God, that will lead them back not only to the path of righteousness, but to true life, true joy, and true peace.
Take the words of this promise to heart: “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.“ (Galatians  6:9)
3. A last word about the last weekend
I don’t believe, that means I’m not convinced, that a real wedding has taken place last weekend. I will expound the reasons for my conviction in another post. This will take some time. Right now, I am busy because I stepped in for a friend who had to have emergency surgery and is still in rehab. But I will try to post my thoughts on that around Sunday/Monday.           I know this is a long post and I thank everyone who read it. Feel free to comment on this post, tell me what you think, send me your criticism, questions, etc. I might not be able to answer immediately, but I will do so asap.
As always - from Prussia with much love, DoP Notes:   *  I’m sorry, but because my week was very busy I forgot to reblog or screencap the post. I remember the ask was in a reblog. If anyone of my readers has screen caped it or a link, please let me know.
** When I got notice of this, I informed the authorities and they put a stop on it.

reformed theology
throwing all my notes about theology from my Presbyterian Heritage and Polity class here!
Why Reformed theology is all about Grace
there is no part of us that is untouched by sin
but there is also no part of us that cannot be touched by God’s grace!
the knowledge that we are sinful and that only God can fix that should make us act with humility -- we’re gonna mess up a lot, including in regards to what we believe, and have to be open to hearing people tell us we messed up so we can do better
this is how we can show gratitude for God’s grace and show grace to one another in turn
Sin
sin is an infection so holistic that we cannot cure it
taints our sense of the divine available to us in creation
we are “little idol factories”
we would prefer a smaller, more manageable, more manipulable God to this big God whom we do not control
we always try to make God containable, by limiting language for God and narrowing our theologies...
Knowing God
yet we do all have a sense of the divine – God is transparent in Creation; but because of sin we can’t figure it out on our own (and also because God is ~Mysterious~)
because we are finite and because we are sinful and because God is mysterious, we can only know God insofar as God chooses to reveal Themself to us
Shannon’s example: If an elephant shouts at a ladybug, the ladybug won’t know what’s going on. But if the elephant becomes a ladybug, and speaks the ladybug’s language, they can communicate
Protestants down the line are going to twist this idea of knowledge, they’ll say that it’s all about knowing the right truth claims to assent to
What Calvin’s concept of knowledge is about is way more interesting; it’s kinda hard to grasp but i like it. It has to do with...
Affections!
affections = the kind of knowledge that includes both the intellect and the emotion -- a much more holistic idea of knowledge than what we usually think of
Don Saliers is a theologian who calls affections “belief-laden emotions”
And then there’s Wesley’s language of “our hearts are strangely warmed”
If you know “I am sinful,” but have no emotion of being sorry, being remorseful about that, then you do not truly know that you’re a sinner
Thus believing something in a religious sense is different from believing something in, say, geometry class
if you believe that Creation is a gift from God, you will have an emotional response to Creation – it won’t remain a neutral “it just exists” but involve gratitude, reverence
Shannon adds that there should also be a volitional response -- our will for how to be in the world: should belief that Creation is a gift from God not also include willing oneself to be in relationship to God?
If you believe Creation is a gift from God but then you go and destroy it for profit – then you don’t really believe that Creation is a gift from God
I’m starting over the bullet points for the next bit because i think it’s cool and important, but it’s still about the affections stuff above
Belief thus involves bodily responses
That doesn’t mean that every “belief-laden emotion” that affects your will and body and great
When we do something we know is wrong, our whole person is involved in the knowing -- we may feel physically sick
We practice affections like hope, like repentance; we do not practice affections like resentment and bitterness (because who wants to have those negative physical & emotional reactions?)
practice = attempt to be formed in such a way that we can know and live in emotions like forgiveness
LAMENT is a Christian affection!
all the affections we work to shape ourselves in are ultimately rooted in scripture, and that includes lamentation
Scripture
Calvin heavily influenced our modern church language about the Bible
We know God in and through scripture, through the power of the Holy Spirit
but interpretation is key to that! -- you don’t just wait for God to interpret it for you; the Spirit does the work through your studying of the text
Calvin’s humanist background led him to say that we should interpret scripture as we would any other text -- while taking its context seriously
This is why he argued that pastors need to be educated in scripture -- so they can help their congregations read the Bible well
being able to think critically about scripture will prevent the kind of idolatrous religious abuses that we are all tempted to
Law and Gospel
In a rare instance of Calvin saying something I actually like lol, Calvin added a third use of “the law” -- the torah -- on top of the two that Lutherans had: while Lutherans claimed the law’s purpose was (1) to show us our own sin and lead us to Christ and (2) to control non-Christians from “running wild” (lmaooooo garbage), Calvin said that (3) the law was also a guide for us
The law/torah has ongoing moral authority -- Presbyterians don’t agree that the Gospel “freed us” from the law (thank goodness, that’s super supersessionist)
The torah, which was a way for God’s people to relate to God, is really good news in itself – evidence that God wants to be in relationship with people and shows people how to do that!
Providence, Free will, predestination
This was such a huge section i went ahead and made it all a separate post.
But one big point is God’s sovereignty -- their active care and control over every aspect of life, no matter how small
There is no moment in your life when God is not with you, actively loving you in that moment
God wills the ultimate flourishing of all -- and humans have a role in that
And as to predestination stuff, the main thing to know is that we have no role in our own salvation -- God saves us freely; our proper response to that is gratitude
Reformed Theology’s development after the first Reformers
Since the time of Calvin, Christians were arguing about how Christianity can hold together with reason, with science
the Enlightenment that influenced the Reformation brought with it an ideal of knowledge as universally true and accessible
i.e. if one person does an experiment and no one else can replicate it, something is wrong with it
by the turn of the 1900s, some were coming to think differently about fairness; it was stuff that took place in the 1800s that caused that
Nineteenth Century Protestant Liberal Theology
emerges in the last quarter of the 1800s, continues through early 1900s
historical critical method of biblical scholarship – studying the bible in context, etc. – was new but becoming widely accepted
science and history as the lens through which you view scripture
theology is compatible with history and science; the relationship between theology and history matters
use methods of critical scholarship to avoid coming up with a personal view of Jesus who’s different from the historical Jesus
relativizing dogma: truth is relative to time and place -- different from that Enlightenment view of universal truth
a judging of Christian expressions as appropriate and correct
a sense that you don’t have to believe everything that Christians believed before – frees Christians from some of the constraints of tradition
General Themes
a desire for a living, vital faith like that of the early Reformers
the parts of the Bible that hold the most weight involve Jesus’s activities
a sense that Christian faith has strong practical and moral implications
the social gospel movement grows from this
theme of the Kingdom of God
fundamentally optimistic -- we can make progress by moral effort
Experiential faith
“I know something of God through Jesus and through great literature / watching a sunset / listening to music”
...And then Karl Barth drops in.
his work is described as a “bombshell tossed into the playground of the theologians.”
once a Liberal theologian himself, Barth’s time as a pastor in a little village impacted by WWI causes him to criticize Liberal Theology as an attempt to domesticate a God who is known only as the Unknowable, whose yes is our no and no our yes.
Some of his criticisms of Liberal Theology:
too high a regard for humans
you are so optimistic about humanity -- have you forgotten that we are sinful? that our viewpoints are corrupted and twisted by sin?
humanity didn’t seem to be progressing that much from where he was sitting, with his parishioners struggling and bombs dropping.
if you’re tying to find the “golden kernel in the husk of Christianity,” how do you discern what’s kernel and what’s husk – an awfully high evaluation of your own discernment methods to think you’ll succeed
claims liberal theologians are too complacent, too self assured
“You look at the Bible and question it, instead of allowing it to question you.”
You’re not studying God; you’re studying human beings!
Better to word things not as “God does this” but “I experience God as”
An anthropological starting point -- liberal theologians are trying to get to God from humanity
in doing so, you’re only going to get a human blown up really big.
you have a general understanding of truth and history and reason and use that to approach the revelation of God
Liberal Theology makes God’s action continuous with social movements
don’t assume that God’s actions are continuous with yours – that makes God much smaller and more manageable than She really is
he criticizes these folks for being apologetic – trying to make Christianity understandable in cultural terms
you end up saying “God is like this human or that created thing”; “Christianity is like this”
Barth is talking to people who are used to walking around and seeing craters left after bombs
“What we know of Jesus is the crater left after the bomb is dropped”
revelation is not some kitten curling up next to you is to make you feel better
We cannot handle God’s bigness…so we make idols
Barth calls idols “no-gods” that give us their stamp of approval on our lives, instead of looking to the God of Jesus who upends our lives and whom we cannot manipulate
We cannot get to know God on our own steam at all
Revelation = God’s act in Jesus
God’s act of revelation in Jesus is like a flash of lightning that penetrates the sphere of human existence
gives us a reality of God that is inscrutable, rather than being a detailed description of who God is—God has revealed that God is Mystery

Seven Reasons We Must Pursue Supreme Satisfaction in GOD John Piper | Nov 10, 2019
If you have no time, listen to the last 20 minutes & repeat.
Seven Reasons We Must Pursue Supreme Satisfaction | J.Piper November 10, 2019 [2 Corinthians 8:1-2]
So now we're ready to read v.1-2, & what you should      be asking as you read this is: [43:37-105:45]
[1] What is biblical love?       [2] Where does love come form?       [3] What is joy?       [4] How would you define it?
     youtu.be/aUPSZBm1OjY?t=2618
Tumblr media
1.] What is Biblical Love?
Tumblr media
We want you to know beloved about the grace      of GOD that has been given among the      Churches of Macedonia, for in a severe test      of affliction--their abundance of joy & their      extreme poverty have overflowed in a wealth      of generosity on their part.
2 Corinthians 8:1-2 | Now, fellow believers,            we want you to know about the grace GOD            has given the Churches of Macedonia. In            the terrible ordeal they suffered, their            abundant joy & deep poverty overflowed            into rich generosity.
Tumblr media
So I'm interpreting the wealth of generosity:      "they gave, & gave, & gave" [44:28]
Tumblr media
I'm saying that's what love does.            That's what love is.
Somebody is in need, I move toward the need;      & I give, & give—I want to help you!
That's what love is, I don't want you to hurt      anymore; I want you to go to Heaven!
And I want you to have relief from your pain;      that's what love does [44:51]
And that's what's happening here:      A wealth of generosity
Tumblr media
2.] Where did it come from?
Tumblr media
How did that generosity come about?
And it's so clear, that's why I'm using this verse,      this is so straightforward.
It came from the overflow of joy!
Right? It's just right there in the text [45:21]
In a severe test of affliction,            their abundance of joy overflowed            in a wealth of generosity
So if you ask where does generosity come from?
It comes from an overflow of joy [45:42]
Tumblr media
3.] Joy in what?
Tumblr media
And that's pretty clear here too.      Because they are in affliction (in a sever test of..)
So they believed in JESUS            & life got worse! [46:10]
     Life got worse not better.
JESUS didn't promise that your life would be      better; it gets worse!
       ●  Get a lot more criticism        ●  Lots more self-denial        ●  Lots more late-nights & early mornings
Tumblr media
Because you care for people now.
Tumblr media
Life gets harder when you're a Christian.
So affliction didn't take away their joy, so      obviously their joy is not in comfort. [46:49]
It's not in security, it's not in their physical      safety. Okay that's one thing it's not in.
It's also not in money because it says they're      still poor, "their extreme poverty & their joy      overflowed in generosity."
So these people are in affliction, they're in poverty      & they're as happy as they can possibly be [47:19]
Tumblr media
3.1] So where's the joy coming from?
Tumblr media
It's not coming from money/prosperity, this is..
don't ever say Piper came preaching            a prosperity GOSPEL.
You know what I feel about the            prosperity GOSPEL, I hate it! [47:39]
OK that's clear; this is not prosperity preaching.
So where's the joy coming from?
       ●  It's not coming from wealth/prosperity        ●  It's not coming from freedom from affliction
It's coming from v.1, "We want you to know      fellow believers, about the grace of GOD. We      want you to know about grace, we want you      to know about the GOD of grace. [48:09]
Tumblr media
3.2] Results of GOD’s Grace
Tumblr media
You know what happens when the grace of GOD      comes down on people's lives?
We want you to know about the grace of GOD      & how it's been shown (shed abroad).
And then he describes the effects of grace [48:19]
Oh I love grace! The grace of GOD.
Historic Context for 2 Corinthians 8
So here you have a totally pagan people,      on their way to hell, & Paul visits Philippi.
       ●  One of them is named Lydia, & the             LORD opens her heart to give heed.
       ●  The other is a demon-possessed             fortune-telling girl, & Paul casts out             her demon & she gets saved.
       ●  Another one is a jailer, & he gets saved.
And now Paul's got a little Church [48:55]
He's got a rich businesswoman, a slave girl, &      a jailer—& they all tasted grace!
       ●  And their sins were forgiven; &        ●  The wrath of GOD was taken away; &        ●  Hell was closed & Heaven was open, &        ●  They were knit together in love.
And their joy overflowed in generosity [49:30]
Tumblr media
4.] So how would you define love now?
Tumblr media
Don't let the world define love for you, let the      BIBLE define love for you [49:41]
     Here's my definition of love:
Based on those 2 verses, love for people,            & the poor in this particular instance, is the            overflow of joy in the grace of GOD—            which meets the needs of others [50:04]
Tumblr media
Love is the            overflow of joy in GOD that            meets the needs of others.
Tumblr media
That's my definition of love, which means if you      don't care about pursuing that joy in GOD—      you will not be able to love people, period!!!
Unless you just redefine love anyway you want.
     Don't do that.
     >> Let the BIBLE define love.
Love is the overflow of joy in GOD,            that meets the needs of others.
Tumblr media
Reason #7: Pursue Satisfaction in GOD
Tumblr media
7.] Last argument for why we should pursue full & lasting      pleasure in GOD. This is the most important one:
I think the one I just gave you is 2nd most important.
Because the 1st & the 2nd commandment      are like that.
"Thou shalt love the LORD your GOD with             all your heart/soul/mind & strength. [51:19]
And the 2nd is like it: You should love your neighbours      as yourself. I just gave you the argument from:
"Love of neighbour" -- we can't do it without joy      in GOD, & now what about GOD?
     >> What about HIS glory? [51:29]
Tumblr media
7.1] We Exist to Glorify GOD
Tumblr media
I just read in my devotions this morning, just read the      end of Isaiah & twice in Isaiah 60 [51:42]:
Isaiah 60:1-8 | Arise, shine, for your light has come,            & the glory of the LORD rises upon you. For behold,            darkness covers the earth, & thick darkness is over            the peoples; but the LORD will rise upon you,            & HIS glory will appear over you.
Isaiah 60:6 | Caravans of camels will cover            your land, young camels of Midian & Ephah,            & all from Sheba will come, bearing gold &            frankincense & proclaiming the            praises of the LORD.
Isaiah 60:21-22 | Then all your people will be            righteous; they will possess the land forever;            they are the branch of MY planting, the            work of MY hands,
so that I may be glorified.
The least of you will become a thousand,            & the smallest a mighty nation. I am the LORD;            in its time I will accomplish it quickly.
"It looked out at Israel & said HE is wounded & now      HE'll heal & HE will make you the planting of the LORD.
The work of HIS hands,            that HE may be glorified.
I was just reminded again, like in every page of the      BIBLE reminds me.
Tumblr media
I exist for the glory of GOD!            You exist for the glory of GOD!
Tumblr media
     >> You don't exist for you.
You exist for the glory of GOD.
Tumblr media
7.2] How does my Joy glorify GOD?
Tumblr media
So the question is: How does my telling you to pursue      your joy (accomplish that: bring GOD glory)? [52:30]
     Give GOD glory?
Because if it doesn't, nothing             matters that I have said.
My argument is this: You should pursue your full &      lasting satisfaction in GOD, because GOD is most      glorified in you when you are most satisfied in HIM.
GOD is most glorified (in you),            when you’re most satisfied in HIM
     Repeat [52:59]
Tumblr media
7.3] Where is that in the BIBLE?
Tumblr media
Let's go to Philippians 1, this is probably one of the      most important passages in my life.
     Philippians 1:20-23, ESV [53:28]
Philippians 1:20-23 | I eagerly expect & hope            I will in no way be ashamed, but will have            complete boldness, so that now as always
CHRIST will be exalted in my body,            whether by life or by death.
For to me, to live is CHRIST, & to die is gain.
But if I go on living in the body, this will mean            fruitful labor for me. So what shall I choose?
I do not know. I am torn between the two.
I desire to depart & be with CHRIST,            which is far better indeed.
It is my eager expectation & hope, just stop right there.      If you were to ask Paul:
       ●  What's your greatest passion in life?        ●  What's your greatest longing?        ●  What’s your greatest hope, for your life!
This is what he would say [53:53-54:17] :
Hope that I will not be ashamed, but that with            full courage, now as always CHRIST will be            magnified/glorified/honoured in my body.
Stop, there it is. When I came to my Church, I was      a pastor for 33 years in one Church & I remember      my first sermon was from this text. [54:19-54:28]
     I told the people:
"Look I'm here for one central reason,             I want to eat/drink/sleep/live/preach/             pastor/council to make CHRIST             look magnificent!!" [54:47]
     That’s that that text says.
     That’s what it says, right?
I want my body/hand/mouth/eyes,             everything about me, I want it to count             to make CHRIST look magnificent.
And I hope one of the effects of this conference      would be [55:11]:
that’s what you want              more than anything.
             CHRIST magnified.
Tumblr media
Objection: Isn’t this about Joy?
Tumblr media
And if you feel like, but that’s not what you’ve been       saying. This whole time, you’ve been telling us to       pursue joy in GOD [55:19-:55-27]
If this 7th argument isn't valid, I've just wasted       the last 55 minutes [55:38]
      Let’s keep reading.
Tumblr media
7.4] How is CHRIST going to be magnified in the body?        (of Paul & other believers in CHRIST)
Tumblr media
      Whether by life or death..
To live is CHRIST & death is gain [v.21].
Now why would death be gain? [56:07]
And he answers in the next few verses.       >> Death = more of JESUS (bonus)
      He has JESUS here [56:50-56:54].
if you’re a Christian,             you have JESUS,             HE lives within you             by HIS SPIRIT.
But oh when you see HIM face-to-face,      without any sin anymore in your life,
       ●  you will experience HIM        ●  you will know HIM        ●  you will enjoy HIM
at a level beyond imagination [57:09]
And that's what Paul said, "I want to be with JESUS now."
Tumblr media
7.5] Delight only in JESUS***
Tumblr media
Now let's trace the argument to see how that      relates to magnifying JESUS [57:24]
CHRIST will be exalted in my body,           whether by life or by death.
     Let’s just focus on death.
How will CHRIST be magnified in my body      by my death? [57:52]
For to die is gain, how is it gain?      I get more of JESUS.
This demonstrates to the world, how immensely glorious      & valuable GOD is whenever we’re willing to die & leave      everything this world offers..
in order that we may have more of CHRIST [58:11].
So CHRIST over here, & everything             that life has to offer over there
I choose CHRIST & consider that loss
That’s what Paul says in Philippians 3:7
Philippians 3:7 | But whatever was gain to me            I count as loss for the sake of CHRIST.
I consider (worldly pursuits) as loss, & CHRIST is gain.
So Paul magnifies CHRIST in his death, by being so      satisifed in CHRIST--as he’s dying (refusing the world)      he considers having lost nothing by leaving the world      --rather to him (death) is all gain, since no more sin &      finally able to enjoy JESUS CHRIST fully uninterrupted      unadulterated pure being in CHRIST’s presence [58:53]
The only way that argument works is if Paul is truly      satisfied in JESUS (& the world by comparison is      so void of everything we truly desire for lasting      pleasure/happiness).
CHRIST is most magnified (in Paul)             when Paul is so satisfied in CHRIST             that losing the entire world is gain.
Or to generalize, GOD is most glorified (in you)      when you’re most satisfied in HIM [59:43].
Tumblr media
7.6] You don’t have to choose
Tumblr media
We’ll talk about that later this afternoon.
You don’t have to choose             between glorifying GOD             & being happy.
If you do choose, then you fail on both counts.***
Tumblr media
7.7] Personal Experience
Tumblr media
Let me close with this story [59:59]
I have been married to my wife for 50 years, 5-0 fifty, last December (2018); & I've told this story in China/Russia, I've told it almost everywhere I've been because I improve upon the point it makes about argument #7 [1:00:29] So let's pretend it's my anniversary, & I'm going to surprise my wife with some flowers. When she sees them, she looks puzzled & asks: "Oh Johnny they're beautiful, why did you?" And suppose I say
"It's my duty, I read an authoratative marriage manual; & it says that to be a good husband you should give her flowers on her anniversary,...so I'm doing what I'm supposed to do [1:01:29] That's a bad answer, so let's rewind & do it again. Ding Dong! Puzzled look on her face: "Happy Anniversary Noel." Oh Johnny they're beautiful why did you? "Because nothing makes me happier than to celebrate you, there's nothing (& no one) I'd rather do than spend the evening with you. And so I have a plan tonight we're going to your favourite restaurant, because there is nobody I would rather spend the evening with than you [1:02:16]
Now that's the right answer btw. Why wouldn't she accuse me of being selfish? It's all about you isn't it, nothing would make you happier huh.
All you ever think about is you, you, you! [1:02:47]
Pursuing your joy, you preach about this all over the world! Why wouldn't she say that? [1:02:55]
If you can answer that question, you understand this entire message & you know GOD. [1:03:03]
Here's the answer, the reason she would never say that is because she knows, you know, & GOD knows (it's in HIS book). GOD knows that when you enjoy someone, you honour them [1:03:23] She feels honoured when I say: "You make me glad. You are the one person I would like to spend time with, more than anybody else. If you say that to somebody, you magnify them, you honour them [1:03:41] You glorify them! & you're seeking your own pleasure, but you just happen to be seeking it in them! [1:03:54] So when you knock on GOD's door, at the end of your life, & HE says to you: "Why do you want to come in here? If you say, well I read in the book that this is where you're supposed to want to be [1:04:12] or I don't want to go to Hell. Those are wrong answers, that's not going to cut it. The answer is going to be (when HE says why do you want to be here?) is: "I want to be with YOU!" [1:04:26] Because YOU told me in YOUR WORD, & I have tasted it with my tongue that in YOUR Presence is fullness of joy. [1:04:35] And at YOUR right hand are pleasures forevermore. If you say that to GOD & you mean it through JESUS CHRIST, big smile is gonna come across HIS face & HE's going to pick you up & whisk you in. But if you tell HIM, "Well I've done all the right things, you'll not see a smile on HIS face [1:04:58]
Tumblr media
Closing Prayer
Tumblr media
Let's pray. FATHER in Heaven, I pray for all of us now in this room, that the miracle would happen of our souls finding the fountain of living water, as we come to CHRIST. Make that miracle happen I pray. Give us a taste for JESUS CHRIST. Give us a taste for YOU FATHER, & YOUR Grace [1:05:26] So that we are more satisfied in YOU than anything else. Because YOU are more glorified in us, when we are more satisfied in YOU. In JESUS Name, amen.
Tumblr media
Video: youtu.be/aUPSZBm1OjY
Christian hedonism not only teaches that GOD HIMSELF is the most desirable, soul-satisfying treasure, but that our enjoying HIM, being satisfied in HIM, is essential in glorifying HIM as HE deserves.
GOD is not as glorified by mere duty as HE is by delight.

I am feeling all ways today and I shouldn't be binge watching Netflix in the first place. I need to assert myself a bit more after I see myself chilling so much today.
There is a loss of my routine as I am staying in with other people, but I need to stop falling into watching tv for more than 2 hours.
And I need to be more upfront about being disappointed rather than hiding behind playing it cool. I think I need to learn how to convey my disappointment of not being able to watch a show I liked and not having someone to help me for a bible study.
I hope criticism does not come to my heart 😶
My scripture for today is Matthew 28:11-13
11 While the women were on their way, some of the guards went into the city and reported to the chief priests everything that had happened. 12 When the chief priests had met with the elders and devised a plan, they gave the soldiers a large sum of money, 13 telling them, “You are to say, ‘His disciples came during the night and stole him away while we were asleep.’
The guards went to report bad news of Jesus rising from the dead. Not everyone is eager to see Jesus being preached and its because they need to make sure they don't get into trouble with the world. The same good news can be taken differently.
So how did Jesus' message sound like today for me? Was it good news or bad news?
Being asked to not be emotional about being rejected to do somethig together made me unhappy today and I couldn't act on it without love.
Tumblr media
The guards received help to lie for their inability to guard Jesus' body properly. The chief priest did not want to receive the grace of God and are too prideful to admit that Jesus dies and rose again so they chose to help in evil.
I see myself unwilling to receive grace from God. I see myself as being pushed by God everyday to do the right things and when I didn't tell Jackie to stop watching TV, I chose to let her continue in debauchery :( I am a peacemaker by nature and hate to obstruct someone else's flow, but if it isn't biblical I need to assert the truth.
The need to lie escalates when it first begins. The guards and chief priest have to plan to lie in order to hide the ressurection. The small sins that I can see in myself has to be stamped out before its too late. Evil makes me plan and scheme and if I ever overthink, I have to go and read my bible. There is nothing else that could take out my overthinking.
I find it quite amazing that the guards and chief priest started many communities of people who doubted the ressurection of Christ in this world today just because the guards did not follow the women in reporting about the ressurection.

Open Heaven - 12 February 2020: The Beloved II
Topic: The Beloved II
By Pastor E. A. Adeboye Memorise: “And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.” – Genesis 22:18 Read: Genesis 22:11-18 (KJV) 11 And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I. 12 And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me. 13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son. 14 And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen. 15 And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time, 16 And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: 17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; 18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice. Bible in One Year: Exodus 39-40 MESSAGE: Blessings are in level. It could be general or special. God causes the rain to fall on both the good and evil; He makes air available to everybody. These are general blessings. But He can also reserve special blessings – the greatest of them, for His beloved. In order not to be seen as a partial, He puts up His beloved for great blessings and then leaves them to take critical decisions. Elijah asked the widow of Zarephath to surrender her last meal to him, and after she did, God blessed her with an unending supply of food. If anyone should ask God in future, “why did you send Elijah to that widow of all the widows in the land?” He would turn to them and ask, “Can you surrender your last meal?” Click HERE for More Open Heaven Devotional When He loves you, He will put you in line for irreversible blessings by asking you for a serious sacrifice. The moment you do it, He will bless you greatly. In Genesis 22:1-18, God told Abraham to sacrifice his son to Him, but as soon as he lifted the knife to kill the boy, God stopped him and swore by Himself saying “In blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies.” Generally, God’s favorite will not lack any good thing. David, the man after God’s heart said confidently “The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want” (Psalm 23:1).when God loves you, He will ensure that all your needs are supplied even before you make a request and if you want more, He will give you in abundance. In 2 Samuel 12:8, He told David: “And I gave thee thy master’s house, and thy master’s wives into thy bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been too little, I would moreover have given unto thee such and such things.” If you would obey Him absolutely from now on, God will put you in line for an irreversible blessing in the mighty name of Jesus. Key Point: God’s beloved would never lack any good thing. Hymn 5: Deeper, Deeper In The Love Of Jesus. 1 Deeper, deeper in the love of Jesus Daily let me go; Higher, higher in the school of wisdom, More of grace to know. Chorus: Oh, deeper yet, I pray, And higher every day, And wiser, blessed Lord, In Thy precious, holy Word. 2 Deeper, deeper, blessed Holy Spirit, Take me deeper still, Till my life is wholly lost in Jesus, And His perfect will. 3 Deeper, deeper! though it cost hard trials, Deeper let me go! Rooted in the holy love of Jesus, Let me fruitful grow. 4 Deeper, higher, every day in Jesus, Till all conflict past, Finds me conqu’ror, and in His own image Perfected at last. 5 Deeper, deeper in the faith of Jesus, Holy faith and true; In His pow’r and soul exulting wisdom Let me peace pursue. From Atheism to Christianity to Islam
Step by step, I learned that Islam is not a militant religion.
I once knew an atheist who claimed he had never believed in God’s existence. In his view, believers were supposed to be people of weak character who felt the necessity to find a crutch for their inability and laziness, so they attended church. He felt agitated if, when debating religion, he could not persuade the opponent with his arguments. He despised believers in an almost hysterical way. He had, however, a very good friend who believed in God. They agreed to refrain from discussing religion whenever together.
One day this man, probably in a rare moment of weakness, accepted the invitation of his friend to visit his church. To himself, he laughed at the thought of speaking out in the middle of mass and laughing and pointing his finger at the believers from the pulpit. However, as we know, God works in mysterious ways. He went to church, stood in the back benches, and stared at the people praying.
The mass service started and he gave all of them a sarcastic glance. Then the sermon began, lasting about 15 minutes. Suddenly, in the middle of the sermon, tears welled in his eyes. A strange feeling of joy and happiness washed away his animosity, a feeling that engulfed his entire body. After mass, the two friends left together. They were silent until the moment they were to part ways, when he asked his friend whether they could go to church together again. They agreed to go again the next day.
It’s possible some of you might have guessed that I was that stubborn atheist. I had felt nothing but contempt and hatred towards people of faith. But after that sermon in 1989, when the priest discussed how we should not judge others if we don’t want to be judged, my life suddenly took a dramatic turn.
I started attending church services regularly and was thirsty for any information on God and Jesus Christ. I took part in meetings with Christian youngsters where we exchanged our spiritual experiences. I felt resurrected. Suddenly I felt the need to be in the company of believers. I needed to make up for the past 18 years.
I was brought up in an atheist family, who except for having me baptized, did not exercise any attempt to guide my spiritual development. I remember being in sixth grade when a comrade was sent by the Communist Party to explain to us why God does not exist. I remember myself absorbing his every word. In my case, I needed no convincing. I believed everything he said. His arrogance, contempt, and hatred towards believers became mine. But now I had to make up for all those years.
I met with a priest and others who guided me in this new direction. I was full of so many questions, to which they responded. Later, I was to realize a big mistake: I accepted everything without contemplation or reflection. I could say that they explained things to me in a ‘take-it-as-is’ manner, but that would not be fair to them. It was, in fact, my mistake. I didn’t reflect upon their words, nor did I think critically. This would cause me a lot of complications later. In retrospect, I believe an important factor that influenced my behavior was age. I was too young to properly comprehend matters so serious and complicated as faith.
I wished to become a good Christian, and God knows I tried very hard. Yet over time, I could not reconcile the contradictions found in the Bible, such as the divine nature of Prophet Jesus and the concept of inherited sin. Priests tried to respond to my questions, but eventually, their patience began to run thin. I was told that such matters should be accepted on faith, and that these questions were a waste of time and would only serve to distance me from God. Till this day, I recall myself quarreling with a spiritual leader, an event that restarted my self-destructive tendencies. Maybe I wasn’t right after all. I was young.
How I Became Muslim
My path toward Islam wasn’t easy at all. You may think that since I was disappointed with Christianity, I would have immediately accepted Islam as my faith. This could have been very simple, but all I knew about Islam at the time were things like Muslims refer to God as Allah, they read the Qur’an instead of the Bible, and they worship somebody called Muhammad. Also, I think I was not yet ready to accept Islam.
So I withdrew from the church community and claimed to be a soloist Christian. I found out, however, that even though I didn’t miss the community of believers or church, God was ‘settled’ so deep in my heart that I couldn’t let Him go. I didn’t even try. Quite the opposite. I felt happy to have God around and hoped He was on my side.
Later I began to engage in one stupidity after another, living a life of luxury and lust. I did not realize that such a road would lead me away from God and towards hell. A friend of mine says that you need to hit rock bottom in order to feel the ground beneath your feet. This is exactly what happened to me. I fell really deep. I can just imagine how Satan must have been waiting for me with open arms, but God did not give up on me and gave me another chance.
In July 2001, I met a young man from Iraq. His name was Ibrahim. We very quickly struck up a conversation. He told me that he was Muslim, and I responded that I was Christian. I was worried that my being Christian would be a problem, but I was wrong. I was glad to be wrong. It was interesting that I did not want to become Muslim and he did not try to convert me.
Although I considered Muslims an exotic group, I had been interested to learn more about Islam. It was a good opportunity to learn more. I realized that I had in front of me a man who could teach me a lot about Islam, so I mustered the courage to ask him to do just that. That was my first meeting with Islam, indeed my first step. After some time we parted ways, and I did not see him again, but the seed had been sown.
I remember once reading an interview with Mohammad Ali Silhavy (an old Czech Muslim) and being eager to find his address and write him a letter. Then came September 11. Because of the political climate, I thought it might not be an appropriate time to contact Mr. Silhavy. So I found myself at a dead end.
About two months later, I found the courage to write a long letter to Mr. Silhavy. After a while he replied and sent a package including Islamic literature and leaflets. He told me that he had informed the Islamic Foundation in Prague about me and asked them to send me the translation of the Qur’an. So this was my beginning. Step by step, I learned that not only is Islam not a militant religion, but to the contrary, it is a religion of peace. My questions were answered.
Because of certain circumstances, it wasn’t until three years later that I decided to visit Mr. Silhavy. He showed a lot of patience while explaining to me different issues, and suggested that I visit the mosque of Brno (Czech Republic). When I went to the mosque of Brno, I was afraid that I would be seen as a stranger, an outsider. How surprised I was to find quite the opposite. I met K. and L., who were the first persons to help me. Of course, I met other brothers who welcomed me in the warmest possible way.
I began to delve into all aspects of Islam, and found how understandable and logical Islam is. I gradually started to learn how to pray, and today I master Prayer with no problem, even in Arabic. I gave up a bad habit of mine that was not compatible with Islam. I was a gambler and a very good one indeed. It was a difficult struggle with myself, but with God’s help I won that battle.
If I ever doubted my interest in Islam or whether I could live as a Muslim, I know now that my interest is permanent and I consider myself one of them. Maybe it looks very simple, but again with God’s help I won this internal struggle. I thought carefully before I definitively decided to embrace Islam. To be honest, throughout 2003 and the beginning of 2004, I was not completely sure if I could manage this. Finally I decided definitively. I am not that young man from the early ’90s anymore.
That’s why today I feel very happy that I am Muslim. I finally feel free. I still have my imperfections but I am trying to improve upon them. I believe that God will help me. Now, listen to what I want to tell you and consider this my obligation: I believe in my heart and declare by word that there is no other god but God and Muhammad is God’s Messenger.

7 Types of Toxic People to Avoid
People often make excuses for allowing others to treat them badly. They create stories in their head. They change the narrative. He actually cares, he just needs more time. She’s not a liar, I’m sure I misunderstood.
Don’t make excuses for people. Listen. They’ll tell you exactly what they want from you. They’ll tell you why they’re in your life. And when they tell you, believe them the first time. When someone tells you they don’t want to be with you, believe them the first time.
Don’t allow others to push you around. Don’t let them make you feel like you deserve to be treated like an afterthought. Don’t accept breadcrumbs.
If you allow these people in your life, there is NO ROOM for good to come in your life. Because your mind, your energy, the physical space around you is occupied. CLEAR THE SPACE.
To help you, here’s a guide of 7 TYPES OF TOXIC PEOPLE TO AVOID:
1)   The Narcissist
We’ve all heard this word. What does it actually mean?
The mayo clinic defines a Narcissistic personality disorder as:
A mental condition in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance, a deep need for excessive attention and admiration, troubled relationships, and a lack of empathy for others. But behind this mask of extreme confidence lies a fragile self-esteem that's vulnerable to the slightest criticism.
Do you know anyone like this in your life? One of the most important takeaways from this definition is that narcissistic people have NO EMPATHY. They can’t understand you emotionally. They can’t connect. They won’t understand your feelings or thoughts. Somehow the story gets turned and revolves around them again. These people will often leave you confused. They seem to have it all together, they seem confident, but in reality they lack self-esteem. They need counseling. But it’s not your job to diagnose them, counsel them, or push them to change. They can only change if they want to. In the meantime, don’t allow someone like this in your life. They WON’T be a good friend, partner, spouse, etc. Negative people in your life will bring more negativity. Let that energy go. Good energy is trying to find you. It’s watching you and waiting for you to clear up the space. SO CLEAR UP THE SPACE.
2)   The Pathological Liar
Have you ever met someone who lies so much that they believe their own lies? The narrative changes. They create a lie and all of a sudden, reality has changed. They’ll say things like, “She was actually spending the night at a friend’s house” or “he was at a guy’s trip, he never saw that woman again.” With these people, pay attention to the details. If you catch them lying to someone else, they’re probably lying to you too. If they don’t have a conviction against lying, they’re probably lying to you. If they lie about the little things, they’ll likely lie about the big things. If they take a long time to answer your question about something that is a fact, they may be lying to you. Now, I’m not saying to analyze each person and look for toxic behavior. I’m not saying that everyone is bad or that anyone is perfect. I’m not perfect. I’m saying DON’T INGNORE THE RED FLAGS. Don’t get in that relationship if you notice a few red flags. Don’t get back with him if you see these issues, if your gut is telling you something is wrong. If you can’t think logically and do what’s best for you, listen to your body. It will start having reactions if you’re making terrible decisions. You may notice that you have a sick feeling in your gut. You may start getting sick every time you’re around your toxic friend. Being around toxic people will have a negative effect on your body.
  3)   The Greedy One
Have you met someone who’s says that they’d do anything for money? For a raise? Have you met someone who would lie, commit fraud, cheat out their business partner, or lie to their customer to put more money in their pocket?
There is nothing wrong with wanting to be successful. There is nothing wrong with being rich. There is nothing wrong with having a lot of money. BUT LOVING MONEY is a different story. If someone loves money more than they love people, more than their desire to keep their integrity, they WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR MONEY. Don’t enter into a relationship or business partnership with this type of person. You won’t even like being friends with a person like this. They will cheat you out of what you deserve. They will throw you under the bus to put more money in their pocket. They will charge you more to put more money in their pocket.
  4)    The Gas Lighter
Dictionary.com defines gas lighting as:
To cause (a person) to doubt his or her sanity through the use of psychological manipulation:
How do gas lighters cause you to doubt yourself? They will lie to you even when you have proof. They will swear and deny their words and actions even though you were present. They will attack your identity and tell you that you are a horrible spouse, parent, employee, etc. They will project their toxic behaviors onto you. If they constantly hurt their spouse, they’ll say that you constantly hurt your spouse and you never should’ve gotten married. But they’re very smart and manipulative so sometimes they will complement you. They will make you feel good about yourself. They’ll gain your trust to only tear you down again. Why? Because it will hurt you more. They will make you feel crazy. They will get into your inner circle, gain your trust and tear you to pieces.
Please, stay away from these types of people.
  5)   The Selfish One
If someone only cares about themselves, they will not be a good friend, spouse, fill in the blank. They will not care about you. Of course, everyone can have a bit of selfishness. I’m talking about extreme selfishness. Relationships are about give and give. Both sides have to be givers. Both have to think about the person in front of them and want to make them happy. If both parties behave like this, both receive and both are happy. But if you’re with a selfish taker, you’ll constantly feel empty. You’ll feel exhausted, ignored and alone. Find a new boyfriend, find a new friend. Have two good friends, have one good friend. Keep your inner circle small and only allow people to be in it who are deserving and worthy of your time, love and presence.
  6)  The One Who Never Apologizes
One of my favorite qualities about a person is their ability to apologize. Their ability to ask for forgiveness. Nobody is perfect. But an apology can heal a heart. An apology can restore a relationship. After forgiving someone, if you continue to be in relationship with them, you’ll have an even stronger bond. Your relationship will be stronger. Accepting an apology and forgiving someone gives the other person grace. Think about it, how many times have you wanted someone to offer you grace after a mistake? I know I have MANY TIMES. Apologizing also takes great humility. Don’t be in relationship with someone who never admits they’re wrongs. They are not perfect. They are not God. They are not the sun. The world doesn’t revolve around them.
7)  The Prideful One
There is a verse in the Bible that says “Pride comes before the fall.” (Proverbs 16:18) Kingdoms have fallen because of prideful leaders. Pride causes one to be blind. Blind of their mistakes, their shortcomings. Blind to how they treat others. They can’t do wrong. Having a prideful boss, employee, business partner, or spouse will bring problems into your life. They won’t ask for directions when they don’t know where they’re going. They won’t admit that they’ve made a mistake. They’ll blame other people for their mistakes because they can do no wrong. The opposite of pride is humility. A humble person is willing to admit their mistakes. Think about a time that someone told you that they made a mistake. It was their fault. Remember how you felt in that moment. You probably had more grace for them. You probably respected them more. You probably trusted them more. Pride brings destruction. If you’re in relationship with a prideful person, that destruction will bleed over into your life as well.
I’m not writing this to tell you that all people are bad. I’m writing this because I walked through a season of being surrounded by these types of people. And in this time, I thought I was losing my mind because I was overwhelmed with the darkness and toxicity that surrounded me. I’m writing this to tell you that I’ve walked over to the other side, and the light is beautiful here. I hope that you can recognize these red flags and cut out toxic people sooner than later. It’s very hard. Sometimes you know these people are toxic, but you wish they weren’t. You wish they were better because you trusted them. But stop wishing for the truth to change. And trust yourself more. Trust GOOD more than evil. Trust that GOOD wouldn’t make you feel the same way that TOXIC energy does. Trust that things WILL GET BETTER when you decide that you are worth more. You are worth being surrounded by love. Take the first step. Remove the bad so that you can welcome the good with open arms.
Set yourself free.

30 March 2014
If you had told me 4 years ago that Sasuke and Sakura would never officially confirm that they’re dating but would instead, out of nowhere, announce their engagement, I would have laughed my fucking ass off.
Anyway, I’m briefly back from my hiatus. Cheers to all of us! We did it. :’) (Or rather, they did it?)

Anonymous asked: now that they’re confirmed to have been dating for years (!!!!), i couldn’t help but want to review their interactions. do u recall moments in shows and such where it looks like their members are teasing them??
The members of Kage and Kunoichi have been kind of friends in varying capacities since before they even debuted so they’d always greet and bow to each other during shows and events. Nothing really special there. Unless we reach. Which, as you know, is exactly what this blog is for.
Since Anon specifically mentioned members (plural), I will only address moments where multiple members do the teasing.
**
(2007) Kiba and Naruto are rowdy hype men while the three members are more reserved, except when Sai does weird dances at select performances. Which is why when Kunoichi did their first performance ever at the KChart Music Awards, we can see Sasuke in this fancam (link) looking like he’s reprimanding Kiba, Naruto, and Sai because it distracts him from watching the girls (or just one girl?) perform.
**
(2010) This Kunoichi fancam from Konoha Music Awards in November (link) shows the girls standing while Rock Lee performs on stage. On Sakura’s side, you can see members of a boy group who keep moving and shuffling around. Another fancam (link) revealed that it was actually Kage members trying to switch places with each other.
So the member order was as follows: Tenten, Hinata, Ino, Sakura, Kiba, Sai, Sasuke, Naruto, Neji. When Kiba realized who he was next to, he walked away and tried to get in between Sasuke and Naruto. The two finally budged after a while, but Kiba was still unsatisfied because Sai was still between Sasuke and Sakura. So he went back and whispered something to Sai who promptly moved away and followed Kiba to stand between Naruto and Sasuke. Sasuke is now beside Sakura. Mission accomplished, guys.
**
(2011) In this Kunoichi fancam reaction to Kage’s stage on the KChart Music Awards (link), everyone was standing up. Unfortunately, the members were situated at the back, and Sakura, wearing combat boots, was at a height disadvantage. But the members came to her rescue when it was Sasuke’s turn in the spotlight. Ino who was the tallest member of the night thanks to her sky-high platforms, and Tenten the actual tallest member were whispering to Sakura, and looked like they were reporting and giving her a blow-by-blow account of what was happening on stage.
**
(2013) In this fancam of Kage’s reaction (link) to Sakura accepting the Best Female Solo for Courage at the Golden Leaf Awards, we see Naruto and Kiba who are smirking as they turn to a decidedly blank-faced Sasuke. Neji turns to their direction too, looking mildly exasperated.
**

Anonymous asked: “#all of naruto’s teasing warrants a post of its own tbh” DUDE??!! please make that post a reality!! please!!!! i’ll give u my first born!! :)))
Haha! Okay, since there’s a bunch of you asking in my inbox: yes, the Naruto masterpost is underway. It’s gonna take a while but please look out for it if not by the end of this week then next week. Kinda swamped with work at the moment.
tags: #Anonymous, #ask
Anonymous asked: love you’re blog! :) Just wondering, who’s you’re bias in Kage??
Thanks! My bias is Neji because he’s the most fabulous.

Anonymous asked: hi!! do u have a link to the interview where they talk abt that line from shadows?? thanks
There were different articles with varying quotes from that interview (during SAGE album promotion, the one held in Konoha Mountain Villa back in March 2012) so I’m translating by combining the info from these articles: (x,x)
Q: Naruto, was the line “You are the sunshine in spring” from “Shadows” written for someone in particular?
Naruto: Uh, that’s— It’s not my place to say, sorry. Sasuke?
Sasuke: No comment.
Q: Is it perhaps about Hinata? She has the ‘sun’ character in her name.
Naruto: She does?
Sasuke: I wrote that line.

SS movie date in Wave Country (2012)
I just needed to update this post in light of new information.
In the Kage Konoha Mountain Villa interview 2012 (the one I linked in the previous post), Sasuke was recorded saying: “I like classic action movies. The most recent one I saw was In a Grove (藪の中 Yabu no Naka).”
Two months prior, Sakura uploaded a video of the instrumental ‘Prologue’ originally from the soundtrack of a film Rokurota. Both In a Grove and Rokurota are films by the director Makino Chikao which led people to speculate if the connection ends there or if there’s more. So I did a little investigating.
Sakura posted the video on the evening of 31 January 2012. During that time, Sakura was in Wave Country where she was a guest performer for Kage’s show in Sector D District. I searched the cinemas around that area and found one that at the time was having a director Makino Chikao retrospective. (You can check out their site here: link) I wasn’t able to see the list of films exhibited to confirm but I have no doubts that both In a Grove and Rokurota were screened there, especially since both films are critically-acclaimed and universally loved. And it’s likely that Sakura and Sasuke went to these screenings together.
Furthermore, you know what’s in front of Kaiza Theatre? An Owson grocery mart, aka the same one where those pictures of Sasuke and Sakura were taken the same year (link). See the side by side comparison (link) and note the same shelves and wall paint. And of course, those photos led to Danzo’s damage control denial of the dating rumors, and then Sasuke’s infamous “[KGE] is just a workplace” statement. Y’all know the rest.
tags: #text post
Anonymous: any opinions on danzo? lol
None. Hope he enjoys retirement.

yrzra asked: Hi! What’s your favorite Sakura era/hairstyle?
All Sakura is good Sakura to me! But if I have to pick one, I’d say when she came out with chin-length hair on her solo debut. It signified a new era, a new sound, and I was honestly blown away when I first saw it. That’s why it holds a special place in my heart.
tags: #yrzra, #ask, #little known fact: i prefer sakura’s solo songs, #but i still love kunoichi very much, #ino can step on my neck anytime
Anonymous asked: Wasn’t there an analysis of Heaven and Earth mv about Sakura’s romantic relationships? Or do you know the post I’m referring to?
Hm, sorry, I don’t remember that.
tags: #Anonymous, ask, #i personally don’t think it’s about her relationships at all?, #just about striving for self-improvement?, #which is a common theme in her lyrics
Masterpost of notable moments of Naruto being the SS fan club president
Note: As promised, here it is. If you have anything else to add, please don’t hesitate to reply/message me.
Let me preface this with a little background on Uzumaki Naruto. Naruto and Sasuke are the closest to each other in Kage not only because they are the two youngest members of the group, but also because they started training in KGE in the same year. The other trainee who started the same year they did was none other than Haruno Sakura. The three of them were said to be friendly even after they debuted in their respective groups. And it’s because of this that I believe they are privy to each other’s lives and relationships, and would, like any regular friends, every now and then tease the crap out of each other.

(2007) [VIDEO STAR] - Naruto talks about Kage members + colors 20070728
Naruto’s first solo guesting in Video Star variety talk show. There was a part where he was asked to describe the members of Kage via color association. (@ 2:11)
Izumu K: So black for Sai-kun, red for Kiba-kun, white for Neji-kun—
Naruto U: Yeah— Oh, no, not white. Ivory. Neji is very specific about this, you see.
Kotetsu H: Right, right.
Izumu K: What about Sasuke-kun?
Naruto U: Sasuke is... pink. Yeah. Pink. Pretty and memorable color. Lots of energy. (laughs)
Kotetsu H: Pink? For Uchiha Sasuke-kun? Really? Isn’t that a bit— (laughs)
Naruto U: Oh, you know what, scratch that. He’s gonna send me angry texts if he sees this. Okay, I’ll change it. Let’s see...
Kotetsu H: (laughs) Why would he?
Naruto U: Got it! Green. Nice, refreshing green.
Izumu K: Konoha green.
Naruto U: Yeah, yeah. Sure, green. (turns to the camera) I changed it, Sasuke! If you’re watching this, don’t be mad at me. (laughs)
Kotetsu H: Sasuke-kun, please take it easy on Naruto-kun.
Izumu K: Okay, what about you?
Naruto U: Orange, of course!
Pink is too obviously referring to Sakura/her signature hair color which is especially obvious since Kunoichi just debuted around the time of this interview, so Naruto changed it to green to prevent Sasuke’s wrath. But you know what else is green? Sakura’s eye color. Thanks, Naruto! Your subtlety is unparalleled.

(2007) KAGE reaction to KUNOICHI performance - MINDBLOWER + BLOOM @ Konoha Music Awards
Sasuke is a famously stoic cold city guy at award shows, especially when sat beside Naruto who dances exuberantly to every other performance. That is, until Kunoichi debuted. Sasuke would begin showing signs of life whenever Kunoichi performed, like foot tapping, some head bobbing here and there, and some stray finger flicking actions during the Mindblower chorus.
Anyway, in this particular performance, Naruto elbow nudges Sasuke on his side (pretty hardly, if Sasuke’s annoyed expression is anything to go by) just as Sakura’s verse is about to come on. (@ 1:32)

(2008)  [FULL/ENG SUB] [HD] 080805 Idols Weekly EP 56 - KAGE Part 1
KAGE’s appearance in Idols Weekly where Naruto said he would join Kunoichi because his group kept betraying him, and then he said he would drag Sasuke along with him. He didn’t get to elaborate on why exactly because he was cut off by Sasuke’s glare.
Okay, this is kind of a reach but they were all just previously nailing the Bloom choreography, and then Naruto was dragging Sasuke specifically to join Kunoichi. Why just Sasuke? All of Kage are on friendly terms with Kunoichi members. That’s why I’m inclined to believe Naruto was teasing him because Sasuke has eyes on someone in Kunoichi. And we all know who.

(2009) [Music Bank K-Chart] 2nd Week of January - SN, Sound5
Sakura had the opportunity to host Music Bank for January. At the time, Sasuke and Naruto were promoting their subunit single “The Valley.” On the one episode that month where they performed, during the K-Chart announcement part, you can see Naruto subtly (not really) pushing Sasuke to his right. When the camera switches to wide shot, it appears that Sakura was on standby from hosting duties a few feet away over at Sasuke’s right side the whole time. (@9:42)

(2010) Sasuke was in Snow Country on a personal schedule and posted a rare picture of himself. Well, kind of. It was him looking like a hypebeast cryptid wearing multiple layers of winter clothes and scarves, against the backdrop of flower trees in Land of Spring (Snow Country’s capital). Captioned: ”wish you were here.” (My god he is so basic sometimes, I can’t.)
Anyway, on the said post, Naruto left a comment of around 15 cherry blossom emojis.
Cherry blossom = Sakura. King of subtlety…
Sasuke deletes this post five minutes later (which would have been suspect if he wasn’t such a serial post deleter). But luckily, we still have a screenshot which includes Naruto’s comment.
(Also note that a month prior to the announcement of their engagement, Sasuke and Sakura were reported to have had a rendezvous in Snow country. That place must be significant to them and Naruto being in their inner circle probably knows why this early on.)
**
(2010) [20102310] Naruto’s KLIVE Chat
Naruto was promoting his solo mini album and did a KLive broadcast where he called some Kage members. During his phone call with Sasuke, out of nowhere, Naruto mentioned Sakura. (@ 40:07)
N: Anyway, Sasuke, aren’t you preparing for your final show this week?
S: Mm.
N: All Kage members are supporting you. Not me, though. But the rest of them do, apparently.
S: Make yourself useful and promote my show.
N: I’ll do you one better. I’ll call Kunoichi and ask them to come to your concert.
S: What?
N: Yeah, I’ll personally pick Sakura-chan up and make sure she’s there.
S: [unintelligible]
N: Sasuke, what?
S: I said you’re an idiot.

(2011) Sakura was reported to have fainted from exhaustion after the last set at Kunoichi’s concert late October 2011. (This was the third time it had happened [that we know of!!!] and it honestly says a lot about what little regard KGE had for their artists.)
Meanwhile, Kage was doing their second to the last fanmeet scheduled in Earth Country. But on that night, Sasuke and Naruto took a red-eye from Iwa to Konoha. There are no pictures, only some K-netizens reports of Sasuke and Naruto entering Konoha General at around 8 am. (Some eyewitness accounts said that Sasuke appeared to be bringing a pillow.) At 10 am the same day, Naruto was spotted in his orange BMW convertible hanging around the KGE building, while Sasuke was nowhere in sight.
It can be surmised that Naruto, being a good friend, accompanied Sasuke so he can visit Sakura. But there’s more.
Konoha General to KGE building is a one-hour drive, but seeing how Naruto got his car and a new set of clothes, he most likely headed to his apartment first, which would add more or less 30 minutes to his journey. If he arrived at 8 am in Konoha General, but was already in KGE building by 10, that would mean he only stayed in the hospital for about 15 to 30 minutes at most.
I imagine what happened was: Naruto accompanied Sasuke from Iwa to Konoha, probably said hi to Sakura for a bit (if she was already conscious by then), and then promptly left them alone to have their moment. :’)
**
(2011) 30 October. Sasuke’s K-D Magazine photoshoot previews were released. Sakura liked one of the posts from the K-D account. Later, she posted a cute video selfie with heart eyes filter with ねぇ聞こえますか?(Can You Hear Me?) an old love song, playing in the background. Her timeline was probably filled with Sasuke’s pictures that she just had to post some kind of lovey-dovey reaction to it. A few hours later, Naruto commented with a (very knowing) smirking face emoji.
**
(2013) 8 August. Naruto posted a picture of two mochi (pink and blue) from Amaguriama, with the caption, “Look how sweet my friends are.” He tagged Sasuke in the blue one. Who else could the pink one be?
**
That’s all I know for now. Naruto hasn’t updated his account with anything SS-related since the engagement was announced, which is really odd for him. (Maybe he’s still busy partying because his OTP is canon?) When he posts something, I’ll update this accordingly.

bl00m asked: THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THAT MASTERPOST!! My life is significantly better because of it! But just wondering, since Sakura and Ino refer to themselves as best friends, do we have an Ino-teasing-Sakura-about-Sasuke moment, too?
Seems to me like Ino is much too professional to tease so I only found a couple. Hope that’s okay.
**
(2007) K-D Kunoichi Feature (magazine issue published around the time after Kunoichi’s debut):
Q: Out of the four of you, Ino and Sakura were the first ones to sign under KG and become trainees. What were your first impressions of each other? Has it changed now?
Sakura: I thought Ino was full of confidence and charisma and that hasn’t changed until now.
Ino: Sakura used to be really shy and quiet but clearly she has bloomed since then.
Sakura: Having someone my own age really helped, I think. We pushed each other to work and get better. It was kind of a friendly rivalry.
Ino: Yeah, rivalry, not just in terms of work, though. I used to have a crush on another trainee at that time, and then one day, Sakura announced that she—
Sakura: Oh my god! Can we not?
They didn’t outright say that it was Sasuke whom Sakura and Ino were crushing on, but it’s kind of general knowledge that Sasuke was quite popular with the KGE trainees not only because he was the younger brother of Akatsuki’s Uchiha Itachi but because he is good-looking and talented, so it’s not a stretch to assume Ino was talking about Sasuke and was teasing Sakura about it.

(2009) [VIDEO STAR] - Kunoichi (FULL EP) (@14:23):
Izumu:  Any music you’re currently listening to?
Tenten: Believe it or not, I’ve been listening to a lot of trot music recently, like Might Guy, and stuff. I like the joy in it and I would like to also bring that kind of energy on stage someday.
Sakura: Creation , the album by Tsunade. I’m interested in albums that have some sort of narrative or a theme that makes everything cohesive, as opposed to trying to make hits after hits and then just compiling them all in the end. She’s certainly not the first to do something like it, but I thought it was groundbreaking for a pop artist, so…
Ino: We like Kage, too, don’t we, Sakura?
Tenten: (laughs)
Sakura: I— Well, everyone likes Kage for sure.
Kotetsu: Right, you did collaborate with them on a song in their album last year.
Sakura: Yeah.
Ino: (quietly) Is that what the kids call it these days?
Tenten: (laughs)
That innuendo, though.

RIGHT?! I’m sure I’m not the only one who has remained quiet and kept to myself when I’m with other fans because I’m in the minority for shipping Sasuke and Sakura while most of them shipped the boys with each other. I don’t really mind it, but, you know, when it’s real, IT’S REAL.
And it feels so good to be right.

Anonymous asked: Do you have any idea as to when and how exactly Sasuke and Sakura started dating? Other than the 5 years that Sasuke mentioned in his fan page message? Thanks! Love your blog!
Thanks!
By the way, I love how Sasuke is known to be very private with his personal life and relationships but would, intentionally or not, obliquely reveal details like how they’ve been dating for 5 years already.
Anyway. Well, I can’t really say anything with certainty but if I were to extrapolate and make an *educated guess*, I’d say they probably started dating officially mid to late 2009. As far as I can recall, that’s also when dating gossips about them started popping up. Also the fact that they started wearing matching white gold bands late ‘09-early ‘10 (I’ll make a separate post about this later) just solidified to me that they really did start dating in 2009.
Prior to my projected time, their collaborations have been frequent, starting with Sakura helping to write a song for Kage, and then both of them being featured on each other’s solo projects. And even before that, it’s kind of general knowledge that they’ve been fairly close as trainees (not to mention, Sakura has allegedly been crushing on him before), so they already had that foundation. There’s that mutual respect for each other and each other’s talents that, over the course of their collaborations, probably grew into something more.
tags: #Anonymous, #ask
Anonymous: re: how sasuke and sakura started dating, i would also like to add that since they are the most hardworking out of the members of their respective groups, they are probably the trainees who used to work overtime the most and got close because of it, probably helped and looked out for each other too. sakura used to say dancing wasn’t her strongest suit while it came naturally for sasuke so maybe he helped her with that. conversely, since sakura is reportedly an A+ student, she must’ve helped him with studies as well. they probs already have a mutual understanding but couldn’t be official cuz of the dating ban. ^_^
Ah, I’m actually not entirely sure if the dating ban is real, but what you’ve said is possible. Can’t say anything conclusively, though.

List of alleged Sasuke x Sakura couple items
These are only the more important, more unique items. So don’t bother sending me pictures of them holding identical paper bags from Sannin. They aren’t the only idols who shop from that brand.
***
(2009-2010) White gold band
Sasuke is not that big on accessories. If we do see him fully accessorized, it’s because he is styled for promotional materials, and stage or music video looks. Otherwise, he doesn’t wear much accessories other than a standard watch, etc. That’s why it was so glaringly obvious when he started wearing a white gold band on his left pinky finger (note: pinky = pink = Sakura, lol!) in December 2009, which led fans to speculate if he is in a relationship. Everyone was suddenly on the lookout for a similar ring worn by idols and celebrities. Especially Sakura whom Sasuke was rumored to be dating that year.
Sakura accessorizes quite a bit but has never been seen wearing the said band. That is, until she had a fan meet in March of 2010. Sakura fansite First Love took HQ pictures of her in the event. In one of them, she leaned over while signing an autograph for a fan and consequently revealed the necklace she’s wearing inside her blouse, and behold, the white gold band hanging on it. It took quite a lot zooming in and adjusting the photograph which is why the legitimacy was contentious among fans, but you can see it for yourself here.
[IMAGE: Sasuke Konoha airport pic white gold band]
***
(2011) Chair
Sakura posts a picture of her succulents by the window of her house, the chair from Sasuke’s Heavenly Hand music video is seen in the corner. It’s a one-of-a-kind modern chair by Konoha master carpenter Kanna, so it couldn’t have been a duplicate.
***
(2012-2013) Ceramic vase
Sasuke posted a picture of a Hanasaki-style ceramic vase by Masho’s protégé ceramist, Kanyu, which was exhibited and auctioned at Leaf Gallery, and captioned it (now deleted) “Mine.”
The following year, Sakura posted a photo of her bed after a concert tour with the caption “Home Sweet Home.” On the bookshelf on the right side, the same vase is seen. Note the pure white color and cracks on the surface that resemble intertwining flowers.
Did he give it to her or was she able to procure an identical one? I’m inclined to believe in the former, but either way, cute.
***
(2013) Chambray shirt
Sakura was photographed at Konoha airport wearing a chambray shirt, which is similar to a shirt that Sasuke was wearing in the behind-the-scenes photo of his album back in 2009. The shirts have an identical tear at the left collar.
According to fashion fansite SakuraCloset, this shirt is from Sannin Men’s chambray shirt. This is how it originally looked on the runway. No tear.
So it’s either a huge coincidence that Sasuke and Sakura have identical tears on the same brand of shirt, or it’s just the same shirt that they share for some reason*.
*They were dating.

Anonymous asked: you forgot the beanie that often sasuke wears at airports which was spotted worn by sakura.
You mean in the Road of Life webisode from last year? No, it’s the same color but they’re different. Sakura was wearing a fisherman beanie, while Sasuke usually wears a slouchy one.

mindbl0wn: do you know what the strong 100 will be about? Love ur blog ^_^

Anonymous asked: lol i still keep seeing antis tryna say sakura might be doing it for attention and sasuke is just pity marrying her or using her as a beard to cover up another relationship or sth man i can’t with them anymore
I really worry about people who spread stuff like this. Like, please give your faves the credit they deserve!
Sasuke “ I-take-relationships-very-seriously” Uchiha marrying someone for shits? They can’t even make him forego his IG feed aesthetic to promote his group/members’ stuff, let alone force him to marry someone out of pity or publicity or whatever.
And Sakura. Why would she marry for publicity? She’s already famous and influential on her own, and not to mention, rich from all the songwriting royalties among other things. She doesn’t need clout. Least of all from Sasuke or the Uchiha. Like 90% of the hate directed towards her come from ugly Sasuke/Hoekage stans and weirdos who have conglomerate boners. She need not subject herself to all that.
They are also, by the way, at the height of their respective careers. If they cared all that much about their image, wouldn’t they wait until they’re in their early 30s to marry like most idols? They could potentially be throwing away endorsement deals from brands who prefer celebrities who are single to appease the fans who feel like they have some sort of ownership towards idols.
And yet! And yet despite everything, they chose to make their relationship public in their own terms.
(Also, note the timing of their announcement. It’s a few months after Hatake Kakashi became the new CEO. It’s like the management up until then has been the main reason that has kept them from coming out with their relationship, which is why the ‘secrecy’ of it felt kinda half-hearted and they’ve been [knowingly or not] dropping hints.)
Clearly, they just didn’t care and they couldn’t wait to spend the rest of their lives married to each other. It’s not that deep. You don’t have to like it. But if you love them as you claim, then respect their decision and stop spreading rumors like that.

BREAKING: UCHIHA SASUKE AND HARUNO SAKURA OFFICIALLY GET MARRIED
July 17, 2014
Uchiha Sasuke and Haruno Sakura have made it official!
Yesterday, the two were reportedly spotted at the Konoha offices to file for their marriage registration. On July 17, the two officially got married in a private ceremony.
The couple initially announced their engagement last March, with the wedding that was supposed to be held November 5 later this year.
Representatives say that the newlywed couple “opted for a small and private wedding along with their loved ones, in favor of donating the expenses that was supposed to be for their ceremony to the pediatric ward of Konoha General Hospital.”
Uchiha Sasuke is best known as a member and the primary lyricist of boy group Kage under KG Entertainment. Haruno Sakura is known as a member of girl group Kunoichi under the same company. Both have gone on to have successful solo careers.
Congratulations to the happy couple!

Sakura and Sasuke post-wedding social media updates
Sakura posted a pic of their hands with the rings, a bouquet of flowers visible on the side, with the caption:
“Today we got married.
We had deviated from our original plan because we wanted to do something meaningful and more like us. As a result, we have decided to just keep the ceremony quiet but, rest assured, full of love.
I’ve never felt so loved as I do at this moment and that’s in huge part because of all of you who have been congratulating us warmly, and have been so patient and understanding of our decisions every step of the way.
Please continue to look kindly upon us as husband and wife. Thank you.
- Sakura“

Sasuke, of course, never does what you expect so he didn’t post a message. Instead, he cleared out three rows of his feed with plain white tiles to have a single picture of Sakura looking beautiful in her wedding dress in the middle. The colored picture especially stands out in his generally grayscale feed.
Moreover, he is now following 1 account: @sakurah.
