1. Revenge *is* the answer (worktitle, Prongsfoot)

Set in a version of the wizarding world where ghosts work a bit differently, Sirius and James team up to hunt Peter Petigreew down.

Or: James comes back (sort of), breaks Sirius out of Azkaban (finally) and decides whoever betrayed them both doesn't deserve to live on.

2. Marauder's Guide to Saving the Wizarding World (Prongsfoot)

I suppose everyone is tired of me talking about this one, but it's my only published wip 😄 James and Sirius compete as a team in the Triwizard Tournament which sets things that were never supposed to happen in their time in motion. Marauders fight Voldemort AU!

Includes lots of Marauder banter, feels, questionable humour, prongsfoot moments and brand new tasks in the tournament

3. No title yet. Star Wars AU + transmigration* (Prongsfoot)

The Proud Immortal Sith Way was a webnovel with an average rating of 2.5. It was, quite frankly, a piece of shit. The only thing that kept James reading, day after day, was the main character, the Jedi turned Sith, Sirius Black.

Sirius' whole life was filled with misfortune and pain. Upon entering the Order he received nothing but distain and distrust from everyone around him, even from his Master. It was no wonder he turned to the Dark side when everyone was just a useless NPC!

'How is it fair that Sirius had to spend the rest of his life in misery after suffering this whole time?!!’ James wrote at 1AM into the comment section of yet another chapter that had Sirius traveling the galaxy and adding another one-chapter, useless love interest to his harem.

The same night, James died. When he woke up, he was in the novel, the words 'Fine, do better,' apprearing in front of his eyes before they blipped out of existence.

*((A variation of SVSS for those aware, but should be totally alright to read without any knowledge of SW or SVSS^^))

4. Fantasy/Knights of the Round table AU (Prongsfoot)

Fantasy, Arthur & Knights of the Round table AU. James in the place of Arthur, future king, and Sirius as Lancelot, his most loyal knight. Features sword-magic, epic adventures and magical creatures. A very much just a concept for now

1. Prongsfoot just...being feral for each other, absolute devotion to the max. They have finally reunited again and there's nothing that can stop them. Also just them...trespassing everywhere 😄 Besides that, definitely the confrontation with Peter!!

2. I'm pretty excited about the Second Task of the Tournament (and a bit scared since I had to create it, hopefully it's interesting). But other than that, to be very vague haha, Prongsfoot meeting Voldemort for the first time!🙈 (There is a line that started this whole fic that I have been waiting to use and its coming closer with each day!!)

3. It's so different so I have to say there're so many things I'm really excited about. Figuring out who should be who in the SW universe is a lot of fun, but I think I'm mostly looking forward to James and Sirius being absolutely unstoppable with lightsabers and the Force. The aspect of the transmigration is also something I'm really really looking forward to

4. I love fantasy so puttting Prongsfoot in there is just a dream. A scene I'm most excited about is Sirius getting knighted by James and swearing his loaylty to him 🥹

I'll say the ones I'm most likely to come back to regularly these days are Captain Pike, Mobius, and Dalinar Kholin (along with, y'know, people for them to get it on with).

..alright well here's hoping I do wind up actually finishing the big-dick-Mobius fic I started ages ago to go with @natendo-art 's hot fucking artwork 🙈

“May I?” Loki was asking— and he was trailing one hand downwards, fingers teasing along the line of Mobius’s belt.

Mobius’s breath caught in an embarrassing little whimper, but he nodded anyway, a little distracted from wondering… Should he tell Loki he didn’t have any idea what he was doing, not really? Should he keep quiet and hope maybe Loki wouldn’t notice how woefully inexperienced he was beyond his own hands? Or—

Mobius’s nervous train of thought was interrupted by Loki’s fingers finding his stiffened cock through his suit pants with a little squeeze—

…And then Loki stopped, pulled back, and stared at Mobius with wide eyes and a slightly shocked look.

“Wh… what is it?” Mobius asked, face flaming, instantly certain he’d done something wrong. “I’m sorry—”

“Sorry?” Loki breathed, and to Mobius’s tentative relief, that slightly slack-jawed expression twisted up into a grin of delight instead. “My dear Mobius, you should definitely not be sorry about this.”

2. What's your total Ao3 word count? 28,823

3. What fandoms do you write for? The West Wing.

4. What are your top five fics by kudos? The First Lady - my ongoing fic where I answer the most important question in the world: what was Abbey Bartlet doing during the episodes she didn't appear in?

Josh and the Jackass - what happened right before Governor Bartlet decided to follow Josh to the airport in In the Shadow of Two Gunmen.

Breathe - a post-ep for Dead Irish Writers. Her birthday party is over, and Abbey Bartlet must face the New Hampshire Medical Board.

A Bit Desperate - part three of a series of three-sentence fics about Abbey and Jed in the aftermath of Zoey's kidnapping.

Anything Else I Need to Know - Five times the staff of Bartlet for America interrupted a barbecuing session and one time CJ interrupted a different kind of session. Takes place during the First Bartlet Campaign.

5. Do you respond to comments? Yes, I do. I do my best to respond to every comment I get, as fast as I can. It's a two-way street, we, as fic authors, often complain (and rightly so) about the lack of feedback, the lack of comments and kudos, but we don't respond to comments. As a reader, I am more likely to comment on a fic from an author who's replied to my comments earlier. But I guess I get so few comments that I can easily respond to all of them 🤷‍♀️ and since there are like 7 people who care about what I write, the least I can do is respond to their very kind comments 💜💜

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? I guess it's Anything Else I Need to Know. The ending isn't too angsty by itself, but if you put it into context and you know the overarching plot of first few seasons of TWW, it's definitely angsty. Honorable mentions: With Pomp and Parade & And the Silence Haunts our Bedchamber - they both deal with the aftermath of Zoey's kidnapping.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? White Christmas. And Something for Us to Remember too also qualifies. You have to read them to know why 😊😉

8. Do you get hate on fics? Luckily, I'm not popular or interesting enough for that 😅

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Yes! Oh, all kinds! The worst thing I've ever written came before I started my fanfic writing career (I used to be involved in forum RP, I'm less active there now) and... nope, I'm not going to write about it here. Too cursed. 🙈🙈 If you want to see some sane smut I've written, check out Game On, Boyfriend! I hope I'll write another barbecuing fic soon, so stay tuned.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written? I don't. But I'd love to see a TWW/NCIS crossover.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? I hope not.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? No, but if anyone's interested, go ahead.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? No, I haven't. The closest thing to co-writing fics was RP-ing which is sort of similar, but not really lol. It might be fun, so if anyone's interested in writing with me, let me know.

14. What's your all time favorite ship? Abbey/Jed! There are many ships I love, but I have to go with my horny nerds.

15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? There was a WIP I started last year, the first fic I posted, but I ended up deleting it, so it's not very likely that I'll ever finish it.

16. What are your writing strengths? I'm really, really good at research lol! If I'm writing a fic set in the 1960s, I'll make sure that they're eating food, wearing clothes, listening to music etc. that was popular in that period. You won't catch any of my characters wearing historically inaccurate shoes. I'm also really good at digging up random canon details and writing thousands of words around them.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? Plot lmao. I write fics about nothing, it's just banter and nerdiness, with the characters and/or the author showing off 🤣🤣

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? Hmmm... I don't know, don't think I've ever needed to do it, but I guess it depends on what I want to achieve, I might write it in English and add a dialogue tag like "she said in French" or something.

19. First fandom you wrote for? The first fandom I published a fic for was The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck, but the first fandom I wrote for was Harry Potter.

20. Favorite fic you've written? Can't choose only one, so have a few of them:

Breathe: Once again, Abbey is reminded how cruel the world can be towards women.

No one asked Jed what he was wearing when he took the censure.

Anything Else I Need to Know: Josh finally opens the door to his room and slumps on his unmade bed.

Next time, he’s going to pay attention. He’s going to pay attention to Mrs. Landingham’s notes on the Governor's schedule. And he’s going to pay attention to Mrs. Landingham’s instructions, so he’ll know what her notes on the Governor’s schedule actually mean. Next time, he’s going to pay attention.

Had Josh been paying attention, he would’ve noticed when the Governor dashed across the hall and up the stairs right after lunch. Had he been paying attention, he would’ve noticed Leo’s smirk that followed the Governor’s departure. Had he been paying attention, perhaps he would’ve noticed the soft, rhythmic squeaking of the bed and muffled gasps and groans coming from the Bartlets’ suite right before he opened the door.

Well, too bad that Josh wasn’t paying attention.

And Something for Us to Remember too: “I take it your conversation with Doug didn’t go well?”

“I spoke slowly and I didn’t use big words, but I couldn’t talk him out of marrying Liz. Maybe I should’ve taken him on a hike. A six-hour hike through Vermont wilderness in the dead of winter would’ve changed his mind.”

“It wasn’t a six-hour anything! I was there, Jed, you were only gone for two hours.”

“You weren’t there, Abigail, you were baking with your mother, while I was fighting for dear life, braving the cold and wolves and bears.” He sighs and adds, “Guess it’s too late to take Doug hiking now and leave him for the bears.”

White Christmas: “’She – New Hampshire – is one of the two best states in the Union. Vermont’s the other’, said Robert Frost, your favorite poet, who also happened to be the poet laureate of Vermont.” Abbey made a dramatic pause and gave Jed a pointed look.

“She’s one of the two best states in the Union. Vermont’s the other.” She continued her performance. “And the two… the two lie like wedges, thick end to thin end and thin end to thick end.”

Jed chuckled.

“Sweet Knees, we’ll lie like wedges, thick end to thin end and thin end to thick end any time you want,” he leered at her, “on our bed, in front of the fireplace, on the kitchen table…” his smirk grew when Abbey’s lips curved into a little smile and her cheeks flushed, “but Robert Frost named his poetry collection New Hampshire, not Vermont.”

“Well, I’m going to write the words ‘Freedom and Unity’ on the pie and you’re going to eat them!”

The First Lady: “Mrs. Landingham withholds food from me,” he complained.

“Because I asked her to.”

“Yeah, cause you don’t want me eating real food like steaks or hamburgers. She won’t let me have a banana.”

“I’m sure you did something to piss her off.” Abbey shrugged.

“Do you two enjoy torturing me?”

“Yes,” she said innocently.

41. how do you choose the fic you read

Ha, if only I knew! I think in the beginning, I searched/sorted by most kudos, most hits etc. That's how I got introduced to some of the classic fics and those legendary writers... And then it kind of snowballed from there. By now I'm subscribed to about 100 authors and at least 150 other WIPs (though to be fair, a lot of them have been abandoned). Anyway, there often is a steady flow of new fics I am already invested in. I have a LONG Marked for Later list - which I barely ever check, because whenever I want to start a new fic, I tend to choose one from the 600+ open tabs on my phone browser (I wish I was kidding guys 😭 It's a problem). How those 600 tabs have gotten there? I do like to go through the Young Royals tag every once in a while, because there's amazing new fics coming out all the time by authors that have never posted before or that I've never known about, and I love discovering those, and giving some love and appreciation to those new fic writers.

What's a story you'd love to write but haven't even started yet?

So, I have this concept for a Norse mythology AU with Rapline as the Three Norns (Yoongi as Urd, Hoseok as Verdandi, and Namjoon as Skuld) where Reader has somehow cheated fate and is confronted by the three as they attempt to avoid the consequences MC's actions might wreak on space, time, and destiny. I haven't started writing it, but the concept came from a scene I scribbled in my notes in the waiting room at the dentist. I'm going to include the scene below because I'm a slut for sharing my stuff lolol. 🙈❤ I don't know if I'll ever get around to writing this, but I love the idea of it.

Anyway, Sleep for the Week

I don't even think I know that many people lol so didn't 🙈

Sleep for the Week is one of my whumptober fics that is centred around Roy being overworked as the new manager and feeling like he has to be everything to everyone. It wears him down and eventually people start to notice. Keeley and Rebecca conspire to take things off Roy's plate but then they take it too far and Roy feels like he's lost and he's not needed. Jamie eventually works it out when he moves in with Roy and starts demanding Roy look after him to let Roy be his usual weirdly possessive and intense self but in a controlled manner so he doesn't burn himself out again and can function.

Here's a snippet from later on:

"I'm going out. Might even have a beer or two," Jamie calls from the doorway, fixing his hair in the mirror by the door. "That's not on your," Roy started to argue but caught Jamie's cocky grin and stopped. This seemed, unnatural. Even for Jamie. Roy slowly turned and placed his book down on the settee. "Are you trying to manipulate me?" "Babe, would I ever?" Jamie pretended to look aghast with a hand pressed against his chest. He leant down over the back of the back of the settee and pulled Roy into a soft kiss. "I'm not going to drink and won't be back too late. Don't wait up," Jamie laughed against Roy's lips.

my year in fic - 2022

I was tagged by @the-francakes (x), @schmem14 (x), @broomsticks (x), and @danpuff-ao3 (x) for a fic roundup/2022 review/stats something or other, so I'm combining them all here.

2022 was definitely a year of fests. Fests fests fests fests!!! I joined and modded so many fests that I'm taking a month long break in January. But I also had SO MUCH FUN. Fests are addictive and there's a reason for that.

Alright, here we go. Let's start with some stats.

Word Count: 151,378 (alas I did not make my goal of 200k but I'll take what I can get. That's still the length of a full length novel!)

Number of Fics started and finished: 21 works (+ just as many double drabbles/microfics/minifics)

Number of WIPs started: um.... pass

Ships I wrote this year (not including background ships): um.... also pass. There's literally too many to list. I write so many ships it's hard to find a trend. But I guess I gotta answer.

Drarry (10), Wolfstar (4), Rarry (3), Parvender (3), Flintwood (3), Deamus (2), Linny (2), and Fred/George (2) eep

Favorite ship(s): Yo this is such a hard question. Idk EVERYTHING. Drarry, rare pairs, and femslash. That's my answer.

Least favorite ship(s): Fenrir ships. I just can't get into them, but also, I dare you to convince me.

AO3 Fic Writers/Artists/Creators/Readers who have inspired me and my writing this year: ohmygod sososososo many. I'd be so annoying if I tagged them all. Maybe I'll just pick a few

@broomsticks and @consistentsquash for their rec lists! AMAZING STELLAR PHENOMENAL. Jackie also leaves the absolute sweetest comments and Squash is the best hype person you will ever find. I strive to be more like Jackie and Squash.

@thistlecatfics, @bluesundaycake, @danpuff-ao3 for their wonderful characterization. The depth and grittiness to their fics floors me every time.

@the-francakes for her humorous writing and @vdoshu for their creativity. Seriously, you never know what Doshu is going to do next. Every one of Francake's fics makes me laugh.

@crazybutgood, @sugareey-makes-stuff, @anaxandria-writes, @digthewriter for their art. Every time I see their art, I just want to write and write and write because it's so inspiring. I also want to leave them a million and some kudos. Why won't AO3 let me live my best life 😭?

@schmem14, @articcat621, @paulamcg for their lovely comments and dedication to keep reading what I put out. I'm STILL surprised that people like my writing enough to keep coming back 😅

Your Cigarette Smell [Sirius/Narcissa, E, 9.7k] — My fic for @hprarepairfest 2021! Which might be cheating a bit, but technically the fest ended in Jan of this year, and I love this fic so much that I really wanted to count it. But what could be better than Blackcest hate sex for the ages?

What is this, fucking Jeopardy? [Drarry, E, 20.5k] — Written for @hd-cluefest this year and an absolute blast! Cursed Draco and Curse-breaker Harry were a dream to write. This was my most popular fic from 2022!

Rosmerta's Special Brew [Andromeda/Rosmerta (but mostly gen), T, 6.0k] — My fic for @hpqueerfest that is a testament to queer joy and queer love. I love this fic with all my heart 💖

Call me baby (I'll be on the way) [Neville/Blaise, E, 6.3k] — Written for @hp-soulmates which I also modded 🙈. So much MISCOMMUNICATION and oblivious boys in love. Also filled with rare pairs galore!

Death and Undeath [Fred/George, E, 3.1k] — Written for @hpcestfest where I got to dip my toes into the Dead Dove scene. This is a fav of mine because I got to combine magic and science and wove it into George's desperation as he tries to bring Fred back to life.

Oh baby, here we go again. I'm SUPER excited for my fic for @dronarryfest 2023. I can't go into details because it's anon, but I am SO EXCITED.

I've started a longer Cissamione fic that I hope I get the chance to work on next year. Will it ever be published? We'll see.

Time travel Tomarry! I've read a lot of Tomarry but never really written it, so I'm trying it out for the first time.

Might finally continue my Drarry Squid Games-inspired fic. Maybe. Possibly.

3️⃣ Top 3 biggest improvements in my writing over the past year

Brevity: I think I'm finally getting the hang of cutting down scenes so I'm not info-dumping too much on the reader.

Confidence: I've definitely become more confident in my writing. I still wouldn't say I'm the best, but confident enough that I enjoy reading what I write.

Angst: I think I can write a fairly good angsty ficlet now. Fluff and smut, I might need to work on a bit more.

2️⃣ Top 2 resolutions (ways I wish to improve my writing/blog) for the new year

FINISH A LONGER WORK. I would love to actually finish something over 50k words and publish it chapter by chapter.

Cut back on fests (lol, yeah right) and make more room for myself. Be more mindful of my fandom limits and when to step back and take a break.

What if that was not the end? Flip back to the beginning. Reink the quill. Rewrite the page. Would that be enough to forget? Would that be enough to remember?

From White, the colour of flowers, my Drarry Hanahaki fic [M, 3.2k]. Lots of angst, multiple endings, and (un)requited love. I used this quote as a transition between sections, and it's still one of my favorites.

Yepper-ooni 😂 I actually have a couple of fics that were motivated entirely by some idiots who didn't understand the concept of 'don't like don't read' when it comes to messed up characters having messed up relationship dynamics 😂

Do you write smut?

I sure do! Surprise myself with it sometimes, but sometimes you just gotta sit down and bang out 6k words about your favs banging

Hmm I don't typically do crossovers, but I did write a couple leverage/supernatural fics way back when I started writing & posting fics; that's the only one coming to mind right offhand

If the POV character knows the language, I'll usually put it in italics w/ a note about which language it is, but if not, then I'll describe the other speakers' mannerisms/attitude as they speak

First fandom you wrote in?

Erm I think that might've been Warrior Cats, *way* back when I first discovered fic!

Favorite fic you've written?

Without a doubt, Supplementations and Upgrades! This is a fic inspired by a Tumblr post wondering what if BioWare *had* gone with the apparent original idea of the geth bringing Shephard back to life for ME2. I wrote the first chapter as a one-off with my Shephard, Rochelle (biotic ping pong ball of death), and then the idea just wouldn't leave me alone! Ended up being over 230k words and honestly it's my biggest project to date and the one I'm most proud of 😁 I constantly re-read it, and have commissioned art for various chapters from @defenestratin! (With plans for more bc I CANNOT get enough of how they draw Rochelle 😍)

Mainly 911 Lone Star at the moment but I do have a RWRB fic in the works (for a new years gift exchange 🙈) and I'm sort of playing with a Buck/Tommy og 911 idea because they've taken over my brain since That Kiss.

Do you respond to comments?

I try to! I appreciate each and every one of them but I never really know what to say other than thank you (also I tend to over-think things). I really should make myself do it more often. We writers complain about people not commenting, but when they do, they should at least feel like it's appreciated!

What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

I don't do angsty endings. Though PS I love you is kind of... emotional I guess

What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

All of them. I need a happy ending in my media - always. Though Fire Camp, Love and Lou, and Love online (god I need to work on my titles) all end with tarlos getting married - so that's definitely happy.

Do you get hate on fics?

I have in the past but not on Lone Star fics.

Do you write smut?

I have attempted it... but that's as far as it goes. Nothing worth posting!

I've never actually written a crossover. I don't really read them either. (911/lone star is the only exception)

What's a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

All of my multi chapter robron fics probably 💀 I still get kudos on them every now and then but i'm kind of done writing fics for them I think. (Unless Ryan Hawley gets his ass back to Emmerdale, then I won't be held responsible for my actions)

What are your writing strengths?

I don't know... I like writing dialogue I suppose. Maybe banter™ I've gotten comments from people saying certain parts of my fics made them laugh. And most stuff i write is a fluffy "what if the bad thing never happened?" kind of deal.

What are your writing weaknesses?

Actually finishing things? lol I can't describe things for shit. And sometimes it's a challenge when writing tarlos fic to not slip in British expressions. I learnt British English in school and years of obsessing over British boybands and watching British soaps have *influenced* my writing/English skills in general.

And also sometimes it's "fuck what's [Dutch word] in English???" and then i spend way too long digging through online dictionaries and stuff because NOTHING FITS and WHY IS THERE NO WORD FOR [THING]???

Thoughts on dialogue in another language?

Don't do it unless you speak the language or know someone who does who can help you with it. I've picked up some Spanish pet names/words in the tarlos fandom (and Spanish shows on netflix) but I won't go any further than that in my fics. And I'd rather die than use Dutch.

First fandom you wrote in?

Luke and Noah (Nuke!) As The World Turns

Favourite fic you've written?

I don't know. Most of them have something special that makes them stand out (to me). But I got kudos on The first morning the other day (aka I saw it in the email from AO3 and didn't remember what it was) and the music/musical theatre trivia i slipped in amused me.

🌹 What is your favorite kind of fan fiction to write?

I love writing angst 🙈 ohhh, I don’t know what that says about me, but I love writing angst that maybe turns to smut and also hurt/comfort fics!! But honestly, as cheesy as it is, I really, truly love just breaking something down and delving into the emotion of it all. If that makes any sense. I prefer writing emotion over action/scenic description. But a lot of people probably think that my fics are too rambly because of that and I am so sorry 🙈

❤️ Who is your favorite character to write?

Ohhh you would ask me this right as I’m starting to wiggle into a new character’s brain 🙈 I think overall, Wilhemina Venable or Billie Dean Howard. But I have a few new things in my drafts and when I say that I am absolutely head over heels for these characters 👀 @welshdragonrawr knows because she has to listen to me scream about them incessantly (and then complain that I’m not writing them well enough 🙈)

🍁 How is your current WIP going, and can we have a sneak peek?

Firstly, I think we should correct this to WIPssss, because there are so many of them I’ve lost count. I rotate through them like one of those little spinny trays that you put in the middle of the table, so I can just sift through and pick out the one I’m in the mood to toy with that day and then put it back and start again 🙈 A few of them are almost finished, though!! Including the “does your mother know” Billie fic 🙈 So here, have a teeny piece that’s probably not going to make a lot of sense out of context:

“Will you take me home, Billie…?”

The question was soft, and for a second you forgot that you hadn’t simply thought it. But then Billie was nodding with a small “of course, honey” and wrapping her arm around your waist as she led you away from the building and to the parking lot.

You hated that she was touching you like this, hand firm and warm and steadying against you. You hated that you loved it, heat threading out from her fingers and warming you somewhere deep inside. Because this was so domestic, and it seemed so natural, and somehow all fear of consequences flew out the window because you wanted this for the rest of your life, no matter what.

You arrived at Billie’s car too soon, and before you knew it she had opened the door for you and offered you a hand as you slid into the passenger seat. And then the door closed and you were alone, the smell of ash and sage filling your lungs as Billie crossed to the driver’s side of the car. You only had a split second to think that you wanted to be wrapped in this smell forever, that it smelled warm and deep and like coming home, before Billie opened the door and started the car. And then somehow you were halfway home and neither of you had spoken two words to the other.

Billie drove with her hand on the gearshift. You noted it, noted the way her acrylics tapped against the metal and the way her thumb smoothed down against the leather. The thought that you wanted to hold her hand flitted through your mind, and you almost bent to it, but then—

“I’m sorry.”

Billie’s voice startled you against the silence of the car, and you whipped your head up to look at her.

“No no, Billie. Why are you apologizing? Please, if anything, I should be the one—“

Her hand left the gearshift then, finger waving absently as she flicked at her turn signal and slowed the car.

“It was my fault. I took it too far.”

“No, you didn’t,” you countered, trying to catch her eye as she took the turn. It was only then that you realized you were driving down your street, Billie’s house just a few hundred feet ahead.

Billie hummed, a dismissive sound, and something in you hardened because no. She didn’t get to shut you out like this. You weren’t a child, and you were fully capable of discussing this with her.

“Billie, stop the car.”

“What?”

“I said stop the car.”

An Unnamed Romcom-Inspired fic

I am actually super excited about this! The idea has been occupying my mind for a few weeks now:) I think this one’s kinda self-indulgent, but my bday is coming up in 1.5 months, so I’m allowing it lol😅 no, but I think it’s actually gonna be really fun, and I hope you guys think so too! Stay tuned!

1301 hits across all of my fics on ao3! Again, HOWWW I LOVE YOU ALL

Collectively wrote 71,089 words across the fics officially posted to ao3! I didn’t know I could do that wtf!!!

Stargazing currently sits at about 61k words, which is approximately 122 A4 pages, which is also about the same as the word count of Carrie by Stephen King! (I never read it, but it’s still super freaking impressive!!)

And let me be sappy for a moment lol:) After years of stalking the tumblr litg tag, I finally caved in and made myself a sideblog too lol! I had a very very shitty year, but this place has been my safe space. I am so grateful I got to know so many of you - you are all so wonderful and funny and talented and inspiring! I’m not usually a hug person, but I am squeezing you all so tight right now❤️ thank you for being here and ranting/venting/crying/laughing with me, I love you all!❤️❤️❤️

Okay I'm gonna share two wips here just because I can. I haven't been able to write a lot these past weeks, due to school, stress and an accompanying lack of motivation. But! Here's something I've worked on.

Firstly, the long-awaited chapter 2 of A Debt to Pay:

“But we will find him.” Elizabeth squeezed his hand again. When he looked at her, the tears still shone in her eyes, but determination had set in her face. She held her head high, her gaze steely. She looked the epitome of the princess she was raised to be, but also every bit the goddess who’d stood against the gods. Gowther didn’t have to look to know that whatever doubt she held was looked away tightly in her mind. He envied her confidence; the refusal to believe this might end in tragedy. The future was too uncertain, the factors too negative. Galvina’s behavior alone foretold a different outcome. She was explosive in her actions, driven by revenge almost to the point of madness. At the same time, she was determined too. She knew what she wanted and was not going to let anything come in her way. Gowther wasn’t sure they would find Meliodas in time.

Secondly, The Boy and the Rain (a fic I started on, completely forgot about, and am now breathing new life into):

Ban leaned against the safety of the doorway, watching his captain without any intention of actually joining him in the downpour. Meliodas tilted his head slightly. A small acknowledgement of his presence, but otherwise didn’t move. “It’s incredible, isn’t it?” Meliodas suddenly asked, voice slightly breathless. His eyes practically shined as he opened them to gaze up at the falling droplets. “What?” Ban frowned. Was the captain actually drunk? “The rain,” Meliodas clarified. “It’s… water.” “Yeah,” Meliodas sounded almost in awe. His smile grew. “Yet no matter how many years I spend here, it still feels like a miracle every time.”

12. The funniest comment someone has left on a fic of yours?

I feel like the comments I get both on ao3 and on here can be divided in a handful of categories: sweet and encouraging, people loving Meliodas getting hurt as much as me, people rooting for whoever saves/comforts Meliodas, "I wish I could hug him", people screaming at me about the angst, and a combination of one or more of these.

But looking through my ao3 comments I found 2 particularly funny ones. Part of this one from Help Me Brother, for I Am Falling:

The elevator caught me slightly off guard 🙈 I didn’t read the tags and was like… elevator?! (...)

I can just imagine the mental whiplash of thinking you're reading a story set in nnt time and then there's a fucking elevator there 😂

And this one from We All Bleed for a Reason:

So simple but saying so much XD And who doesn't love those Bad Angles 😈

I actually have two accounts (one for Gallavich and one I don’t use anymore for Star Wars). In total: 182. Gallavich - 50. Star Wars - 152.

2. What’s your total AO3 word count?

134,879 for SW and 86,308 for Gallavich. Total: 221,187

Yes! I always try to. I love comments.

5. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

I don’t think I’ve written anything that has a really angsty ending….I write a lot of fluff so I think my work usually ends on a happy/hopeful note.

Pretty much all of them have happy endings 😅 - I do love writing fluff. Honestly not sure which would be the happiest.

No. I’m not a huge fan of crossovers so I can’t see myself writing one. (Although - I do love the idea of Gallavich/Schitt’s Creek crossover but I don’t think I’d ever write one.)

No.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

No. I wish I could because I have so many ideas…😈 but I’m just not confident enough in my smut writing. Maybe one day…

Yes - I’ve been very lucky to have two translated!

Yes - a fic where Ian and Mickey go house hunting - with @arrowflier (I’ve got a bit of writers block and I’m struggling with the next update but I will get to it!)

13. What’s your all-time favorite ship?

Gallavich. I love it like I’ve never loved any other ship. It’s the most interesting one I’ve ever shipped and there’s so much canon to use compared to some others I’ve shipped, also there’s a lot of different dynamics and aspects to their relationship so there’s always something to think about. It’s inspired me to be creative more than any other ship and I think it’ll always be my favourite even though I’m relatively new to the ship.

14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

So this gave me the opportunity to go back and look at my SW fics and I’d totally forgotten I had two WIPs in there 🙈 I don’t plan on finishing them or going back to engaging in that fandom so yeah, they’ll always be WIPs.

15. What are your writing strengths?

Dialogue. I love writing dialogue and I think that’s what I’m best at.

16. What are your writing weaknesses?

Description and smut. I think I’m getting better with the description part though….

17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I love when other people do it but I only speak one language so I wouldn’t do it because I wouldn’t feel confident enough.

18. What was the first fandom you wrote for?

Star Wars. I’d been in various different fandoms for years as a reader but I only plucked up the courage a few years ago to actually try writing. I never ever thought I’d try writing but I’m so glad I did. And since I’ve started, I’ve enjoyed it so much I’ve not stopped!

19. What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to?

I’m not really into it anymore but had I been writing years ago I would have wanted to write Spuffy or Spangel.

20. What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

Probably Roleplaying (Gallavich) because it’s silly and fun and makes people laugh. And Interruptions and Consequences (Gallavich) again because it’s funny and makes people laugh and it’s fun to write the brothers/brother-in-law dynamic with Lip.

Rules: post the names of all the files in your WIP folder regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous. Let people send you an ask with the title that most intrigues them and then post a little snippet of it or tell them something about it! And then tag as many people as you have wips. (You can make your own post or reblog this one!) I have deemed that this isn't just for writing either. Sketch titles? Comics? Dnd campaigns? If you have an unfinished project, it counts!!

Okay, so… not so funny thing about me is that I have endless wips. Well, not really endless of course, but you got it. They are quite a lot😅 Something like… 50+? Yep, I’m not joking. I’m the queen of Yay let’s think about this whole new story! Who cares if I already have millions of fics that live in my mind rent free and are still waiting to be started? 🤡

But my biggest issue is that I actually have a thing for series. I just love creating stories where I can also develop the plot and work on the growth of the characters over time. So, basically every story I’ve been creating (in my head, ha🥲) is actually a series of various fics connected to each other. (That’s why they’re so many🌚) And I'm truly looking forward to writing and sharing them with you all!

Here I'll write down the titles of the three fics I’ve been working on in these past months. (And a few other very much wips’ questionable titles ‘cause… why not? I just wanna tease you a bit😏)

Crying Anakin angst (for the upcoming Obikin fest. I do have the title ready but authors and prompts should remain secrets until the deadline so😶)

Modern fluff pining (same as above)

A host of golden daffodils

Obi tired sex candles hall

Obi tortured Vaderkin protects

Demisexual Anakin

Bunnywan get together

2. Where do you get your fic ideas?

Hard to say, my head and mind just seem to keep jumping around and coming up with them all the time, there is no real source of idea inspiration 😅. Reading books, other stories and fics and maybe tv shows and also some true crime cases seem to lend a few ideas though. For the rest, my mind seems to be pretty creative all on it's own.

6. What’s the last line you wrote?

"Das will ich. Für den Rest meines Lebens. Mit dir."

Manchmal brauchte es keinen Ring.

Manchmal reichten Worte.

Reichte ein Versprechen.

Reichte es, sich einander zu haben.

"I want that. For the rest of my life. With you."

Sometimes it didn't need a ring.

Sometimes words were enough.

Was a promise enough.

Was it enough to just have each other.

(I won't spoiler what story that is for though ... there might also be some WIPs on my smartphone and laptop 🙊🥰 ❤️)

And some addings to "Happy Halloween", because yeah, I'm a hopeless case and still edit the works I uploaded 🙈 Hopefully I can get rid of that sometimes 😅.

24. How do you choose whose POV to write in?

What feels right and reads okay. I usually don't write from a me perspective or only out of one characters view. I like to dive into all the different feels and emotions of multiple characters, so I put them all in.

33. Is there a specific word count that you hold yourself to/enjoy writing the most?

No, absolutely not. In the end, I just start writing and see where it leads me without paying attention to the word count. More often I write much more than I intended to. And I think the best example for that is "Last Chance". For LC the chapters became longer with each new update and I didn't even intended that. But sometimes I just can't seem to find an end, ideas keep poppig up in my head and writing goes on and on and on and wooops, again more words than in the chapter before 🙈😅. But no specific word count, no.

I know I read that you are not a writer with too many stories going, so WIP questions might not make much sense, right?
