Zelda's Personality
I did a post about how Link, despite being a player insert, has different personalities through the games that appear subtly and can be inferred based on his behaviors and responses. So now it's time for the Zeldas! More recent games have given more of a shining role to the character for whom the franchise is named, and I love the variety between them all, so let's explore it a bit! (At least for the games that I've played)
Ocarina of Time Zelda - My gosh. I love her so much. This woman ain't a princess, she is a Queen. She is so determined to protect her people that even as a child she's willing to order people around and go against the adults' wishes, despite being ignored. This girl is determined. Like, BotW Zelda gets put down over and over despite her efforts and she is understandably dejected and goes along with what her father wants. This Zelda is straight up like I'M RIGHT YOU'RE WRONG and just moves on LOL. Not only is she determined, she has a plan. A very foolish childish plan because she is a child and no one is going to stop her.
And, naturally, since it's a child's plan against an adult who has all the other adults wrapped around his fingers, it doesn't work. Zelda is left with a kingdom in flames, the evil man she was trying to stop obtained the Triforce, and her father is dead. She's fleeing her home and spends the rest of her childhood in exile. Something like this could destroy a person. And maybe it did. But she picked herself back up. And not only did she pick herself back up, she trained herself to fight. She learned everything she needed to about the Hero's journey so she could guide him when he returned. She stayed in hiding to avoid Ganondorf's watch. She protected the Triforce of Wisdom. This girl is a certified badass.
This Zelda is a fighter in every sense of the word. Nothing will stop her, not even her own mistakes. But she is sensitive too, she's aware of the damage this has done to Link and is apologetic and so incredibly sad. She carries the weight of the world on her shoulders. (Granted, this is Adult Timeline Zelda, but she is just Child Timeline Zelda put through a different scenario, so... same personality for both of them, just different circumstances).
So overall, this Zelda is decisive, resolute, never gives up, empathetic, and probably a little reclusive based on how she's always left to her own devices.
Skyward Sword Zelda - This girl is chaotic and it's wonderful. She pushes her best friend off cliffs and sky islands. She bullies the bullies. She's training in a knight's academy, which more people need to remember dang it. She's protective, she's anxious, she's bossy, she's curious.
This girl is also pretty darn adaptable. Like. She gets thrown out of the sky, out of everything she's ever known, tossed into a world of danger with no one to guide her but a stranger, and has to recover memories of being a freaking goddess and endure a journey of discovering herself while also being chased by Ghirahim. And she does it. Like... Link isn't far behind her, he goes after her literally the next day, and she's already doing her part of her adventure. She was told the fate of the world depends on you and she said okay, then, better get going. Like wow.
She has to have a strong sense of self. This girl found out she was a goddess and told Link after everything, "I'm still my father's daughter. I'm still your Zelda." She was called Your Grace, she was a spirit maiden for a deity her people worshipped, and she still said, "yes. Yes, all of this is true. But I'm still me." Like... I know we see her during her journey when she's still processing and not the aftermath, but this girl has a will of iron and will not let go of who she is.
In summary, this Zelda is courageous, has a strong sense of duty, is a gremlin, excitable, assertive, and stubborn.
Breath of the Wild Zelda - Oh, this poor princess. This Zelda is so sincere and wants to help so much, but she struggles with discovering herself and her powers. She is endlessly inquisitive and absolutely crushed under the pressure her father and her kingdom places on her. She lets it out through understandable frustration, pitting it against someone who, to her, represents everything she is not, which is so interesting.
This Zelda wants for the pieces to just fit but she can't figure it out, and instead of doing some introspection she just continues to look for alternatives. When she does do introspection, it's just to ask why she's defective. Things just need to make sense. I feel like an attitude like this implies that 1, Zelda has no instructor and therefore never learned how to learn, and 2, that implies that everything else she's good at has come naturally to her, such as technology. This girl is a scientist! Who has not learned the scientific method! Though she does try experiments, as poor Link can attest.
When Zelda is allowed to just be herself she seems very sweet and bubbly and excitable. She's so happy when she wants Link to try that frog! She's also incredibly chatty, bless her, having to put up with that silent knight all the time haha (yes, Link does eventually talk to her. Eventually.)
I would also like to note that the instant this girl gets her powers, she goes straight to the castle and holds Ganon at bay for a hundred years. The instant she's free of that burden and bondage, she wants to rebuild her kingdom. Like holy cow. This girl went from doubting herself so much to having so much hope. She is a symbol of hope for her Hyrule.
BotW Zelda is uncertain initially, but learns to have faith in herself and more importantly has all the faith in the world in her people. She is inquisitive, extremely intelligent, energetic, bubbly, and very sensitive.
Twilight Princess Zelda - One of the more mysterious and less prominent Zeldas in her series, this woman radiates quiet strength and regalness. Also, her very first scene (or maybe it's a cut scene flashback in her first interaction in the game) shows her brandishing a sword to fight alongside her soldiers. Hell yes, Queen. But she also has the wherewithal to recognize when she's outplayed. She is wise and knows when to fold to avoid needless casualties. She is willing to put herself in such a vulnerable state in order to protect others. She knew that fighting would still result in the kingdom being overcome by Twilight magic with bonus dead soldiers, so she opted for doing it without the dead soldiers. Knowing when you're beaten and taking it with grace to figure things out takes not only wisdom but humility.
This Zelda is also just... so incredibly understated. Her sadness over her kingdom's fall into disarray is poignant but subtle. Her compassion for Midna when she's dying is muted, but so clearly evident in that she gives her remaining life energy to her. Her acceptance of Link as the Hero, and her sign of respect to him and petition for his aid is just oh my goodness, the regal bow, the willingness to fight alongside him, I love her.
With as little as she features in the game and with as quiet as she can be, she honestly is hard to peg down, but overall this Zelda strikes me as someone who feels deeply and expresses little of it. She's quiet, she's reserved, but she is humble and dignified and incredibly kind.
So there you have it. Some of the ladies for you. I love them all dearly and love to compare and contrast them. <3

Hello I hope your doing well! I was wondering if it would be ok if I request headcannon for all the linked universe boys and how they react to having a reader tag along them that specializes in dark magic. If not feel free to ignore this have a great day/night! :)
Tumblr media
note: for this, i’ll try to be as close to jojo’s chain as i can, following some of the comments i could find about it. turned out shorter than expected, but i hope you like it! gn!reader, platonic.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There’s going to be a wall between the two of you the moment the nature of your magic is known. And with many of them having experience with different types of magic, this happens pretty much since the start.
It’s not you he has a problem with, but your magic itself.
He’s one with the strongest bias against dark magic, from his own experiences with it.
But, even if he doesn’t exactly like you, he won’t force you to leave. Like everyone else, you have a reason to be with them and a common enemy.
He’s going to avoid you most of the time though, at least being alone with you.
If you need some help with your equipment he doesn’t mind helping, but he’s distant.
It’ll take a long time for him to trust you, and it depends on yourself if this happens during the journey or if you go back home before you can fix this mistrust.
He might make a comment or two sometimes, if he thinks you’re being too reckless with your magic.
Even if you’re a good person, dark magic can change even the purest of hearts.
Tumblr media
He’ll be a little hesitant at first, dark magic is usually something he has to fight against, after all.
Won’t last long if you show that you only use it for good though!
You’re someone fighting for the kingdom, just like all of them, so you’re alright in his book, dark magic or not.
Enjoys talking about magic with you and Legend. He knows a fair bit himself, but who knows? He might learn some new spells that don’t need to be done with dark magic specifically.
Once you make it clear that the darkness in your magic doesn’t fog your judgement, he doesn’t see it as different from normal magic.
The two of you might team up often. Between your spells and his own, no monster will last in the battlefield.
Tumblr media
Just like Hyrule, he’ll be unsure about how to react, but it also doesn’t last long.
As the veteran of the group, he has dealt with different types of magic and people, and he understands that the nature of one’s magic doesn’t have to be the same as their own.
So, as long as you don’t do anything reckless, he won’t do anything against your dark magic.
What’s more, he’d love to ask you about any items or interesting spells you know!
He probably won’t use them, but some knowledge is never bad.
He’ll also defend you from some of the others who dislike dark magic.
Once again, just because dark magic is your specialty, it doesn’t mean you’re a bad person.
You won’t have his full trust, that’s something you need to earn, but he won’t treat you differently.
Tumblr media
The chosen hero doesn’t have as much experience as many of the others, but he cares more about you than your magic.
You’re a good person fighting to save your home? That’s great!
He’ll have to be careful when handling the master sword around you, just in case.
He finds magic interesting, so feel free to show him some small tricks you can do.
Similar to Legend, he will defend you if others say anything about the nature of your magic.
Might asks you some questions to see if there are any similarities between your magic and the one his Zelda is learning how to wield properly.
Maybe the two of you can talk about it if you end up in his era!
Honestly, he can only compare your magic to Ghirahim’s or maybe Demise’s, but you’re obviously not like them.
Tumblr media
He’s cautious, but doesn’t mind giving you a chance.
Dark magic is both dangerous and powerful, most times (if not always) it means sacrifice. He wonders how much you had to sacrifice to specialize in this type of magic.
He keeps his eye on you. Because he doesn’t fully trust you or because he’s worried about you? Only he knows.
Feel free to talk to him about your magic. He may not understand everything, but he can lend you an ear.
He’d rather you don’t use your magic too much, dark magic can consume someone rather quickly.
If this isn’t something that could happen to you, whatever the reason, tell him so. This way he won’t be as protective.
Tumblr media
Conflicted. It would depend on the real source of your magic.
He himself has an item brimming with dark magic, but it’s twili magic.
If you confirm that it’s not magic to harm anyone else but the monsters trying to bring ruin to the kingdom, then he will give you his trust.
He wonders how similar your magic is to the one he’s seen and experienced.
He prefers to avoid most of it though, like most magic items.
So, even if he doesn’t mind it, he’d rather not have much to do with anything concerning your use of magic.
Tries not to say much if there’s a discussion about dark magic, he doesn’t want to slip up about Wolfie.
Talking about the wolf, you definitely knew it was him the moment you saw the large animal appear in the camp.
The magic in his pendant is hard to miss.
Tumblr media
Much more conflicted than Twilight, due to personal reasons.
Cia’s dark magic will forever stay in his mind when it’s mentioned, even if he knows you are nothing like her.
It was a hard time, and all he could see and feel was her magic around the battlefield.
Then there were the dark versions of himself, made of his foolish actions and her magic.
It’ll take quite a while, and his trust in you may be shaky, but he’ll try to ignore his bias against it if he can see you’re a good person.
You are allies, and he doesn’t want to let his past struggles blind him.
If you avoid using much of your magic around him, with battles being an exception, he’d be grateful.
As long as you remain as someone fighting by his side, he’ll do his best to get along with you.
Tumblr media
He may be a little unsure about how to feel about your magic, but will soon compare it to the one that lets Twilight change forms.
Your magic is nothing like the one he’s dealt with him. It may be dark, but it isn’t heartless.
Once he gets a bit more used to it, he’s definitely going to ask you a few questions!
Both to satiate his own curiosity and because he thinks his Zelda would also be interested.
With your permission, he’ll share the information with her. It could help with something.
Would like to watch if you train using your magic, he thinks it’s pretty cool.
Definitely asks if you can turn yourself into an animal just like a certain someone.
Tumblr media
He thinks it’s really cool!
Look, he isn’t dumb. Dark magic is usually tied to monsters, but he can see that you aren’t a bad person, so let him have some fun.
He joins Wild when you’re training, it’s almost like you’re performing for them at this point.
Do you have any interesting stories about your magic to tell? He wants to know!
Overall, the one who cares the least about the nature of your magic.
You aren’t hurting anyone (except your enemies, of course) so why would he care?
Magic is magic, even if they’re from different sources.

biggest thoughts on skyward sword link?
aight. get ready. because I have many thoughts about him.
So, first off, yes, he is a silly sleepy doofus of a sky boy who is extremely soft and adorable and deserves everything. But, while that take is 100% correct and should not be overlooked, he is also a feral rabid gremlin who can and will tear your face off with his bare hands if the need arises (such as if you threaten Zelda).
Tumblr media
(I mean. there's your proof right there...)
Now, a lot of people think that Link from Breath of the Wild is the strongest/toughest/etc.
Politely, I disagree.
So then who is the strongest? None other than Sky Link.
Let's start with the basics. He might not have been raised on a farm or in service as a knight for the royal family, but at the same time, he's attended an academy specifically for training knights his entire life. At the start of the game he can lift and throw massive barrels, is stated and shown to be an excellent climber, is a natural at Loftwing flying and at catching Zelda when she throws herself off of Skyloft, and is already excellent with a blade. Later on he can lift and throw small boulders, and push large wooden crates and metal carts.
But like I said, that's just the basics.
Sky Link also fights/defeats the Imprisoned and Ghirahim three times. Both grow stronger with each battle, but he defeats them nonetheless. Ghirahim at first sees him as just a silly little child who can't possibly defeat him; he quickly learns Link is anything but that and in all three of his fights becomes so humiliated that he rages at Link and on two occasions leaves instead of allowing himself to be defeated further. "You think I can't defeat you? You think I can't win? What are you, boy?" he asks in the final fight. He's afraid of Link, because Link is too powerful for him. He's the silly soft sky child, but three times now he has claimed victory over the Demon King's right hand man.
Then there's the Silent Realms, of which Link goes through four. Each one becomes increasingly more difficult and dangerous, and yet he completes all of them. Not only that, but he finds each Sacred Flame required to strengthen Fi and ends up forging the true Master Sword. He also earns and wields the full Triforce, which only a tiny handful of other Links have done. He also survives getting crushed by boulders on numerous occasions and is imprisoned (probably with a concussion) but escapes; battles a massive army of Moblins, Stalfos, and Bokoblins; and with each Silent Realm, his spirit grows, signifying he is not only strong physically, but mentally.
Anything I'm forgetting, besides the fact that Hylia specifically chose him to be her hero and defeat-
Oh yeah.
Demise.
Yup, in case anyone forgot, Sky Link kills Demise, the literal embodiment of evil itself, the original villain from whom Ganondorf comes. Demise is the most powerful enemy in LoZ who not only destroyed Hylia, but nearly all of the Surface as well; according to him, humans cower and quake upon seeing him; none but Link have ever dared to even consider standing up to him. Fighting Link, to Demise, is a casual, lighthearted ordeal where he believes he can take it easy before going off and destroying the world.
But yeah, that doesn't quite happen.
In the end, Link defeats Demise utterly on a battlefield of water and lightning, charging his own blade with it and striking the killing blow. Demise perishes and is absorbed into the Master Sword, directly after threatening that his hate, never perishing, will follow Link and Zelda throughout time.
And there you have it. Sky has just defeated the original incarnation of a cycle of endless hatred.
(while looking like this 90% of the time. he is babey. but stronk and dangerous babey who could kill u with a look).

Ten Minutes
Link x Reader
Angst!
(Y/n) watched as Link fell. Beaten, bloody and Zelda screaming for him to help. (Y/n) bit down on the cloth between their teeth, screaming from their place on the floor. Their hands were tied tightly behind their back, and Ghirahim laughed. “Look at that, the sky child finally falls. I look forward to watching you die.” (Y/n) struggled, finally spitting the gag from their mouth. “Father, please, let me talk to him. Please. Take the girl and go let me be with him.” Ghirahim looked over at (Y/n), the desperation in their eyes spoke to him. He snapped, the chains around their legs vanishing. They reappeared on Link’s legs, keeping him down on the ground.
Ghirahim walked over and scooped up Zelda, effectively using his magic to make her collapse. “You have ten minutes to say what you need. I’ll be back.” He walked through the gate of time, leaving Link on the floor. His breathing was labored and (Y/n) crawled over to him. They pulled him into his lap, beginning to cry. “I’m so sorry. This was all my fault.” They whispered, pushing his hair out of his face. He looked so young, so small like this. Barely breathing and dried blood from his nose to his neck. He had a few cuts on his cheek. “I’ll make it right. I promise.” Link’s eyes fluttered open, and met with (Y/n)’s.
“Hi. You’re back.” Link whispered. (Y/n) nodded, tears falling down their face onto Link. “I’m sorry. I really am. This is all my fault you’re like this. You’re hurt and you could die.” (Y/n) choked on a sob. “You’ll be okay. I just have to help. Then I’ll get you out of here and father will… he’ll deal with me.” Link groaned in pain, shaking his head back and forth. “Don’t do anything stupid (Y/n). Keep yourself safe. I can handle this.” (Y/n) dug in their pockets. “No, you can’t. You’re about to die and my father is going to come back in any second. I have to get you out of here.”
They pulled from their pocket a bottle. And inside a fairy was fluttering around, shining with hope. “I’m going to give you this. Then I’m going to break these chains. As soon as I do you’re going to run. You’re going to get away from me and you’re not going to look back.” (Y/n) said. Link grabbed their hand, holding on tight. “(Y/n) please, you’re my friend. I don’t want you to get hurt.” He whispered. “Link.” (Y/n) said quietly. “Link… I fell in love with you.”
Link’s face changed to panic. “What?” He asked. “You’re so hopeful and kind. I find it so amazing how you’ve sacrificed everything for Zelda. You allowed me to help you and be with you even when I almost killed you. You’re funny and understanding. I want to repay you the favor of keeping me alive.” They pulled the cork off of the bottle and shook it over Link. The fairy escaped and fluttered around him. It kissed his wounds and flew off. Link gasped, sitting upright and grabbing (Y/n). “You can’t leave, we have to go together.”
“I’ve told you before. It’s just me.” (Y/n) said, turning and taking a knife from their pocket. It was one of Ghirahim’s. They slashed away at the chains. Magic on magic made the two vanish from contact. (Y/n) scrambled to help Link up. “Alright, you go save Zelda and you forget about me.” Link made a worried face, holding onto (Y/n) as he stood on unsteady legs. “What? (Y/n) we’re going to do this together. Please, come with me and I’ll protect you. Like I promised.” (Y/n) shook their head and heard the familiar sound of Ghirahim approaching. “Please. Go. I’ll come and find you. I’ve done enough wrong for you and Zelda. Let me do something right.”
Link didn’t seem convinced, but he ran off to find Zelda anyway. He cast one last glance at (Y/n) before disappearing. Ghirahim had returned, he opened his mouth to say something but stopped. His eyes glanced at (Y/n), and then to where Link should’ve been. “You disobedient little bitch. I gave you one task and you couldn’t even do that right?” He snapped, screaming so loud the entire temple seemed to echo. (Y/n) stood silently. “Where is he?” Ghirahim asked, marching towards them. (Y/n) stared at the floor. Ghirahim grabbed their face, forcing them to look at him. “Where did he go?” He screamed in their face. (Y/n) remained unflinching, staring Ghirahim directly in the eyes. “He’s safe.”
Rage engulfed Ghirahim. His eyes seemed to turn a deeper shade of red. He pulled his hand back, (Y/n) readied themselves for a slap. Instead his sword was summoned. With one swift move, (Y/n) buckled to the ground. They cried out, the blade pulled out of their abdomen. “I need at least one person to die today. Pity that it had to be you.” (Y/n) curled in a ball, holding onto their wound silently. “I will win. Even if it costs me everything.” Ghirahim said, marching away from (Y/n).

Went back to play Skyward Sword, and I'd like to do an appreciation post for how expressive Link is in this game. It's better in motion, they give him a lot of good acting, but even in stills you can tell.
Tumblr media
Sleepy boy
Tumblr media
Look how happy he is to see Zelda
Tumblr media
Surprised and terrified
Tumblr media
Look how sad he is! Lool at the framing of the camera showing how much he cares about Zelda!!!
Tumblr media
They really let him be disgusted and terrified of Ghirahim. He is so ready to bolt if his friend weren't at stake.
Tumblr media
He's so angry and disappointed when he finds Zelda again only to be told he's a failure that doesn't deserve to see her because he was too late.
Tumblr media
I love how they animate him jamming on his harp, he gets so into every song, you can see how he enjoys dueting with Fi a lot.
Tumblr media
Can't forget this absolute gem, where he clearly has no idea what the hell Zelda is talking about. Either that or he is so physically unable to take a compliment he just blue screens. Either way, love this goofy child.
Tumblr media
The moment he realized Zelda is trying to pay penance by being locked as a living seal on Demise, the desperation in his face as he runs up to her. *chefs kiss*
Tumblr media
And then when he realizes she's Gone. It's so heartbreaking, and you can tell he needs that second to collect himself before he turns his back on her to continue on his quest. The sound design and voice acting really helps elevate this too.
Tumblr media
Also! How much he loves music!!! Every time a dragon sings for Link, he basks in it, he loves listening and playing music so much and it's a really sweet detail they convey entirely through his expressions.
Tumblr media
Look at them laughing together! He's so happy!!
Tumblr media
And the pure unadulterated Rage when Ghirahim steals away Zelda.
Tumblr media
They gave him a nose crinkle texture!! And the added dramatic lighting. Ghirahim my boy you done fucked up!
Tumblr media
How much you can tell he Hates Demise. Beyond the times he was angry at Ghirahim, this is a cold, determined willingness to kill this so-called God that just took away Zelda from him.
Tumblr media
This bittersweet expression, where he has to say Goodbye to Fi. You can tell he's happy this is all over, but conflicted at having to lose his friend, especially since Fi is essentially just taking over for Zelda here in an eternal slumber.
Tumblr media
And even without dialogue options, you know Link's answer when Zelda essentially asks if he'll live with her on the surface together. You can see it's a resounding Yes.

💛 I Remember You 💛
Time Elapsed: 1 hour, 11 minutes
Program used: Ibis Paint X
Tumblr media
(This doodle is me coping with the Tears of the Kingdom trailer and pretending they aren't about to be traumatized more).
BotW/ToTK will forever be my favorite version of Zelink. They've been through a whole lot together, and seeing them reunited at the end of BoTW is so sweet (especially in the context of the diaries outside of the English translation)! Such a shame everyone's probably dead. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted...
I cannot express enough how agonizing it has been to wait for more news on TotK! So when I saw a Nintendo Direct was coming up, I was unable to focus on anything else. I knew we were bound to get info, but I was NOT READY FOR THIS
Everything about that trailer was so well done, it makes the wait for May seem even longer! A few thoughts I had personally:
1. Ganondorf is pretty decent casting. I'm admittedly surprised he doesn't sound hoarse or anything considering he's a reanimated corpse, but it's still menacing!
2. I'm convinced Ganondorf and Zelda are going to take the forms/powers of Demise and Hylia at this point with all these parallels...
3. POSSIBLE MORE RUNES MAKE ME SO EXCITED! We thought Link getting a motorcycle gave us too much power... Now we have cars and mechanical gliders.
4. It doesn't seem Zelda is getting damseled! That makes me so happy. I figured she wouldn't be playable (unfortunately), but it at least seems she'll have a presence throughout the story! Perhaps a Skyward Sword situation where she must go on a journey of her own? Maybe in the form of flashbacks to the previous Zelda from 10,000 years ago? If it goes with a SS route, maybe that leaves room for a playable Zelda in post-game.
5. All the monsters look stronger than before, and there are even new ones! I tried to see if those dino bird things matched up with any classic enemies, but they didn't seem to be so. Either way, they're awesome!
6. I can't wait to explore where all the characters are after a potential time skip. Zelda especially! She got so much character in BotW, and I am going to love seeing more of it!
7. If Zelda doesn't end up becoming Hylia, I'm also wondering if the previous Zelda ends up being revealed to be the same one (same with Link) due to time travel shenanigans like in Skyward Sword.
8. If Zelda and Link don't kiss or address Zelda's feelings for him at least once I will be very sad (but I'll love the game anyway).
9. I hope to see the cycle broken here. That seems to be where this is leading! It would be great to watch Zelda and Link finish off Demise's curse once and for all and finally have the peace Hyrule has been fighting to have for eons.
10. Hopefully Link's diary won't be lost in translation this time! Adding those little details like that made BotW even better than it already was.
11. LINK THREW THE MASTER SWORD ASIDE TO CATCH ZELDA I CAN'T- But poor Fi. Hope she's doing okay with the whole Malice infestation thing. This is a stretch, but perhaps there will be a return of Ghirahim or his sword form. That'd be cool.
12. It looks like there's potential for more old-school dungeons! With the Divine Beasts seemingly inactive, Link may have to travel through monster-ridden ruins to drive them out of Hyrule.
13. I'm excited to see details on the time between BotW and TotK, like how Zelda got her hair cut! It'll be nice to see which NPCs changed and which haven't (Beedle is probably the same and will be the same even as all of existence crumbles around him).
14. Maybe the memory mechanic will be implemented again by Link recalling his past life 10,000 years ago?
Alright, sorry for the ramblings here. I'm too excited. I have lots more thoughts, but I'll share them in the future. May 12 can't come fast enough!
Reblogging is fine, but please don't post this anywhere else without linking the original post. Thanks!

“Gods,” Link’s face pinches, and Ghirahim leans in close, silvery hair fanning out to tickle his cheek. Link doesn’t know what to do — caught on the precipice of something he knows to be dangerous, something he refuses to name, something that can only spell misfortune. “Gods,” he says again, and of its own volition, his hand reaches up to that soft curtain of white hair, and he says, “I really hate you.”
It’s a big enough confession on its own, but he’s done with it all. The hand threading through Ghirahim’s hair grips suddenly, holding him there, and Link, in spite of the swirling pit of dread, closes the gap.
The kiss is not soft. It is not gentle, nor is it filled with secret affections. It is a desperate, hasty thing — Link is sure he might die from the way Ghirahim reciprocates: all firm touches, tongue teasing his lips, a knee between his thighs, a hand gripping the back of his neck with the same kind of wretched sureness. It is exactly how he might have imagined Ghirahim would kiss, had he ever stopped to think about it.
“You hate me,” Ghirahim mutters between kisses. “Say it.”
“I hate you,” Link obliges. He hooks a leg around Ghirahim’s, coaxing him further onto the couch.
“Mm.” He licks into Link’s mouth, and Link is sure he will explode. “And I you.”

....dude Fi was designed to look 13-14 according to the devs. it's really creepy that you ship her with anyone tbh, ESPECIALLY Ghirahim. she's literally a child. says a lot about you imo
Alright alright alright, let’s clear this up.
!DISCLAIMER BEFORE I START!
Do not mistake this post as me trying to excuse weird shit. Ew. I hate pro-shipping. Get it away from me.
Now into the nitty gritty-
Quoting DIRECTLY, from Hyrule Historia, it is on my lap as we speak
“• Looks 13 or 14”
Tumblr media
Does this concept art look a lot like our finalized Fi design? Yes it does. This is the second closest to the finalized version in the book
So let’s go over more of this, and the several reasons why I think this isn’t canon.
“• metallic texture”
That didn’t stick around. I often joke that everything in Skyward Sword looks like it’s made out of fondant, and while her clothing does, her skin and wings looks much closer to porcelain.
“• a naive cuteness”
uhh, sure? She never seemed naive to me, but she is still cute so… that stuck I guess?
I don’t need to go over the last bullet point, because that is just true lmao
But here’s the kicker! Right?
“Like the Fairy Queen in Wind Waker”
The Fairy Queen is obviously a child. We know this, look at her, she also flirts with 12 year old Link iirc
But what makes this design look like the fairy queen? The hair does, it’s exactly the same, just parted on the opposite side. The grey-blue color is really similar. Her… eyes? But wait… that’s the same eye type as the regular Great Fairies? And Ghirahim?
She didn’t even carry over the circular toon style eyes in her final design
Tumblr media
I’m pretty sure I could assume the Great Fairies in WW are meant to be adults right? Other versions always have been, and they very clearly look like an older version of the Fairy Queen… so why does Fi’s finalized design actually look a bit more like them? From the pointed eyes to the strong nose-to-eyebrow ridge, she’s starting to look less like the Queen to me…
But let’s go back to the concept art. What else does it say?
These are the same design as the other one that says she looks 13-14, just a bit less detailed
Tumblr media
hmm… huh… that’s interesting. Her gem changes color? Well, that’s not canon
Wait what? “Connected to the arm, which is why it bends.” She has arms under her wings?
Tumblr media
THEY TOOK HER GODDAMN ARMS
So yeah, in that same design where she “looks 13 or 14” she had arms. Do with that what you will
How about we dive even deeper into Fi’s concept art, hmm?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It seems pretty clear to me that she wasn’t meant to be a child character from the start, some of these designs appear child-like (the one next to the iron man design in particular), but lots of these are also just women
But okay, okay, let’s take a step back from Fi’s concept art. How about Ghirahim’s, what does his say?
Tumblr media
The same age as Link? This mfer is 17?? Jesus Christ, talk about the jock kid in high school
Jokes aside, I don’t believe that, he refers to Link as a child the entire time, all of his concept art pre-finalized, just looks like old men, so I assume that moreso meant they were straying away from that design element.
I would also like to mention that Ghirahim’s concept art states in his sword form “He shows emotion without using his eyes”
Tumblr media
While very clearly showing a picture of him expressing with his eyes, something that remains consistent in-game as well. So this could be translation error, or just… idk honestly it just doesn’t really make sense lmao
The tl;dr of all this concept art talk is this:
Don’t take concept art as fact. As an artist, concept art is literally that. A concept. I have made designs with elements that have been changed drastically by the finalized version. It’s all a process.
SO! Now that we’re done with the concept art, let’s actually move to references from the game.
At the beginning of the game, this is said, by Gaepora and Fi
Tumblr media
Link is referred to as “a/the youth” multiple times, as opposed to Fi being referred to once as “youthful in likeness yet wise with knowledge immeasurable.”
Youthful in likeness. Not an actual youth, and the youthful in likeness thing could not even necessarily tie back to saying she looks 13-14, just that she looks young. Youthful is a very large age-range after all.
My second point about in-game… Scrapper. This doesn’t really lead too far, because we have no idea how “old” Scrapper is “supposed to be”, he’s a robot, he has less of an age than Ghirahim and Fi, BUT he’s allowed to be an absolute simp, to the point of calling her “Mistress” non-stop, so idk, that just doesn’t read as something a child would go through to me.
UPDATE: more evidence on the front of Scrapper, when he firsts meets Link, he explicitly doesn’t want to help Link because, and I quote “Serving children is very low in my task priority.” Then Fi appears, blah blah blah, you can’t carry the windmill propeller in your pouch, right? Then Scrapper says “Who are you!?” And does what I can only describe as his version of an AWOOGA (what being “zrrt-FWOOOSH”, paraphrased) and continues, “Your name is…Fi? Should I call you Mistress Fi? Are you looking for something Mistress Fi? …I…understand. At your request, I will carry anything, regardless of weight or destination…”
So there you go, serving children is very low in his priority, Hylia was around at the same time the LD units were active, so Hylia would’ve known about the Scrapper units priorities, (assuming they all have the same priority list) so why would she make a child? Just why? And in the same vein, why would Hylia make her servant sword-spirit a child in the first place, that doesn’t make any sense 😭
Looping back around to where this all started, what does “looks 13 or 14” even specifically mean? She looks that age, not she is that age. And I’m not going to go Lolita topic with this, I’m not here to say “she’s like 1,000 years old! So of course she isn’t a child!” I’m here to say, lots of people look older, or younger than they actually are. She’s almost the same height as Link, so if she were meant to be around his age, she’d probably be around 16, and if she’s 16, and Ghirahim is 17 according to his concept art, where did your argument go?
Speaking realistically, Hylia probably designed her to look young and ‘cute’ so she wouldn’t scare Link. Let’s be real, her personality is intimidating, and she was going to be projecting herself into his dreams, so if she had a intimidating appearance (like some of her old concepts), Link would probably be afraid of her.
That’s all. I could go deeper into some of these points, and add on other things, but I think some stuff is self-explanatory.
Now, even if you want to discredit everything I just said, Ghirahim and Fi are both adults in all of my work. Unless explicitly stated or shown otherwise.
I draw and write them how I envision them in my head. In Skyward Sword, I have always read both of them as adults. I have not aged-up Fi for this ship, that’s fucking weird. They are both adults.

the way i think about my stories can be so annoying bc there will be a point when i reach a certain story beat after which i dont know how to continue, and the way i do find are usually ... not good .. or i imagine it is not so i think man i cant do that thats so dumb and annoying i gotta think of something better, but then i cant come up with anything better bc once i got a solution to soemthign i cant think of anything smarter- and then i get bored of it as a whole bc man, this really was stupid from the start wasnt it
(this is all some stupid rambling and does NOT represent anythign that will happen in destiny, i swear the actual story with a proper end makes much more sense)
listen to me rambling but this morning i thought about the essentialyl non-canon good "ending" of destiny, a kind of self indulgent dumb lil alternative where everyone lives blah blah, but then of course it cant just end there, bc the end goal of the both of them is to find out the gods plan and secrets and also kill the gods, as you do, then i got a certain point that i found cool (which initially came from the whole thoguht of what if zelda game but you could play demise and it took place after the alternative ending in which the goal is to get rid of the gods) where the fight one of the gods but are kinda losing and as the god is trying to devour demise, as gods do, he abandons his body and his spirit/core, who cant exist without his body so hes still connected through the spirits tail , and climbs through the gods interdimensional weird 'mouth' while its trying to rip him apart to reach the core of the god in a last attempt to take them down with him, while hylia is fighting to keep the god from severing the thin connection he still has to his body but fails just as he reaches the core so the god is killed but his core is immediatelly starting to dissolve and hylia manages to grab his core and put it back into his body and flee from whatever is happeing to that dead god back into hyrule
he survives but is incredibly weak as his spirit has lost half of itself (blade spirits are also forged throguh sacrificing part of their spirit/core permantently but this is besides the point, none of this makes sense anyway), something he obviously hates but cant do anything about really, once a part of their core is gone its gone (not like lost energy but gone gone) but the core is also slowly dissolving further which is a death sentence with no way to act against- then theres a whole quest to .. well, stop that, while hes falling back into self hatred and fear bc hes now so weak that hylia can break his bones without any effort if she were to treat him in any way similar to before and to a deity that all their life was never so fragile, one whos most defining feature IS his power and strength to keep going no matter what, thats gotta be pretty existentially dreadful (and also its a set back to know that they cant just go fight the gods together like that, theres still two more and he cant fight like that)
then i wondered ok what if then, even if the time doesnt quite line up but at this point the entire prophecy cant be done anymore either so everythings out of order, the cloud barrier weakens and zelda is abducted (not by ghirahim) and link goes and tries to find her, but since everythigns not as it should have been he meets hylia and demise (disguised tho) and they immediately know who he is and then go along and try to help link find his friend (hylia does it bc she got the idea to make him find the triforce and wish demises spirit to be restored, since only a mortal can do that and links the most likely candidate to be able to go through the trials of it since he was supposed to already, even if the circumstances are different- demise goes along with it bc hes still trying to deal with essentially slowly dying and not knowing what to do with himself since hes afraid to get into fights or similar, much to his disdain, so hes acting like a companion of sorts, a mentor figure in a way, not knowing what hylias plan is)
i found the idea kinda interesting to have them be like a lil group that goes on links adventured with him, but with strangely intricate knowledge of how the dungeons work, link still doing the heavy lifting but them being there like parents cheering on their kid in a competetion, all the while putting the whole puzzle and dungeon aspect in a way different light bc half of them were never completed (they wanted to escape the prophecy after all) so they all work completely differently, some bosses being maybe some of the gods creatures instead (like the skysw guardians)- the mid journey point being that they find zelda, and who kidnapped her, it being one of the shiekah having most closely worked with hylia before the whole -break the prophecy- thing started (idk if it would be impa .. idea is neat) and is hellbent on making the gods plan work out like it was supposed to, kinda like the inverse of the games plot, so they got ahold of zelda as part of making her into the new hylia (despite hylia being .. right there, but they dont believe it is her truly since the true tm hylia would never betray the gods- ALSO a paralel to how the downfall of demises world worked bc his mortals turned on him after he started destroying their version of the triforce in the belief destroying it would be the only way to save mortals from going to war agaisnt each other for it over and over, mortals believing that their true deity was gone and replaced by a demon despite demise being ..right there)
after link wins the fight and frees zelda from them they in a kind of last effort to do anything against their group they stab demise, normally that wouldnt do shit against him but in his already fading away situation it basically puts him from very slowly dying to actually dying, as a reaction to it hylia kills the mortal (maybe impa idk), which is the first time she does anything like that to a mortal but i like the idea of her being actually super ruthless when it comes to things she cares about
now with a much more dire time limit hylia sends demise back to essentialyl go hide in her temple and try to not die and to trust her having a plan to make this all still work out- he does and once he is away she reveals pretyt much the entire story around why and what is happenign to link and zelda, hylia herself cant go above the clouds as the barrier is still partially up and she cant do anything to reach the triforce either - so she sends link and zelda to go do that, and it works out in the end bc even knowing the truth know, demise was with them on half of their journey so they know and care, he WILL be mad about them wasting their wish on him (even if he is still happy to be alive- i imagined scene where hes watching himself fall apart and die, alone in hylias temple, having to come to terms with the fact that after everything they had went through hed still die alone- it made me cry while thinking about it, yes, yes you are allowed to laugh)
i didnt get that much further but his spirit was essentially reset to when he was in his prime back in the day through the triforces power- something he both likes and despises, it being the gods power of all things that lets him live again, but also lol to use it agaisnt them by giving another chance to the gods greatest enemy- the next plan is of course to kill the next one of the gods but much better prepared, as they cant just go and do the same thign again (neither wants that), one idea was that hylia goes on a secret quest to try and bring back courage (the third deity that demise killed when his world was still thriving) but it involves diving back into the realm of the gods so she doesnt tell him at first, i do think theyd go together in the end, not to fight but to release courage; the whole thing is also an elaborate revenge plot of hylia, how dare the gods do that to him!!
anyway thats most of what i got from that thinking session but its so frustrating bc none of this is even in the actual comic (since it ends in a way that leads into canon skysw, this is some brain fart nooo i want blorbo to live and succeed!!) and its also convoluted and kinda dumb, the idea to inverse the games plot in a way (instead of it being ghirahim trying to bring demise back its someones plan to make the gods prophecy happen no matter what) is neat but i cant have demise almost dying be the thing THREE TIMES, it kinda undercuts his character and is way too much centered around him, all three times also more or less involving it needing help from others to get him back, when his whole thing should be being unkillable bc he jsut keeps refusing to die, also hylia is, as of now in this spaghetti derailment of random thoughts, way too much of a side character, which i dont like, and it all would make people not like demise when im trying to do the exact opposite of that in the main actual comic
i know being super self indulgent and jsut doing what you want is good for the most part but theres a point where it becomes stale cringy fantasies about my blorbo tm and i wanna write at least decent stories- in the end none of this matters anyway as the actual REAL story of destiny is already pretty long and i got no plan to write that alternative 'good ending' anyway and i mostly just thought about it bc "i dont want blorbo to die :(" and "wouldnt it be fun if the entire plot of the game would get messed up and now demise link hylia and zelda etc can all just drink tea together and make plans to get rid of the gods that wanted them all to suffer needlessly"
i probably shouldnt post this as it was really only a vent to get out dumb thoughts from my brain before they poison me into losing interest of the biggest comic project i have worked on so far but i am unable to keep these things to myself so
if you read all of this, im sorry (´。_。`)

I'd love to know more about Lost 👀
- hero-of-the-wolf
Hehe sure thing! I have some posts around here somewhere talking about him but I don’t feel like finding them lol
So Lost (Link) is a knight at the castle, one of the best, though he’s pretty quiet and stern. He’s close with Zelda though, and they’ve known each other for a long time. Zelda starts getting these dreams where darkness covers Hyrule, overtaking the kingdom, but in every dream she sees a figure holding a mystical blade who saves the kingdom right before it’s destroyed.
Zelda does some research and consulting with Impa, and they figure out the blade has to be the Master Sword. The problem is its existence has been largely forgotten, and there’s only guesses and legends as to where it is. But they finally narrow it down to being in a particular forest, and Zelda sends out a group of her best knights to try to find it, Link along with them.
But something goes wrong. Only one knight comes back, injured and riding Link’s horse. He manages to get out a story about Link disappearing into the woods, and after hours of searching having no luck finding him. Until suddenly a dark figure came out of nowhere and attacked them all, one they quickly realized was Link.
Vaati, or some purple-themed guy is the villain here, and he’s the one who has Link under his control. He was posing as an ambassador from a faraway land, but had been gradually gathering resources and monsters, and has plans to take over Hyrule. And he’s quickly accomplishing that with Link’s (unwilling) help. He needed some muscle, and taking the hero out was an added bonus.
More stuff happens, but basically Zelda ends up being the one to go out and find sages to help stop Vaati, since the Master Sword and its hero aren’t exactly available to help. And Link is hunting her down the entire time, and is similar to Ghirahim in how you encounter and fight him over the course of the game.
I... think that’s mostly it lol. I’ve had him as an oc for a year or two now but I haven’t done much with him but write a handful of out of context scenes from his story XD the whole thing is mostly something I just like to play with :3

HyMart | AO3
Tumblr media
for @zelinkcommunity Zelink Week 2023, prompt: free day! thanks @jimmyjims for inspiring me to write supermarket au zelink this was therapeutic and like i was reliving trauma at the same time. no totk spoilers here!
Fandom: Skyward Sword (Modern AU)
Rating: G
Summary: Link deals with a rude customer and possibly meets the love of his life in his place of work: HyMart.
Link often hears the beeping and buzzing of cash registers in his dreams: swipe, beep… swipe, beep… swipe, beep, err…! An error… and oftentimes those same sounds morph into the blare of his alarm clock. Above him, the fluorescent lights from what had been a supermarket ceiling slowly become filtered sunshine as he opens his eyes.
That’s exactly what woke him up that hot July morning. His dreams soon became reality when he found himself wearing long pants and sweating behind his register. He would wear shorts, but if he did that he would be slapped with a dress code violation. Now, he forlornly scanned items and punched in numbers for a few hours, calling over his customer service manager Ghirahim every now and then for help.
In his flashy work vest that he glued rhinestones onto himself, along with his bedazzled nametag, Ghirahim tutted at one of the customers who insisted the shirt she was buying was only five rupees. “Ma’am, if you found it on a different shelf with different items, it was misplaced. This is ten rupees.” He took this stern tone with many of the customers (which they often perceived as rude), but he was arguably one of the best customer service managers the front end had. Despite the many complaints from customers who felt he was condescending and mean, Ghirahim was never fired. Yet, anyway. Link had no problem with it, since it usually put the customers in their place once they started to get frustrated with whatever employee they chose to take their anger out on that day.
“Then I don’t want it,” the customer, a blonde woman with her hair done in pigtails, snapped. “Put it back.”
“Can you run this back, Link?” Ghirahim asked, oddly kind, and Link nodded. “Oh, and then you can go on your lunch.” This encouraged Link to scamper off even faster to deposit the shirt back on its correct shelf, marked at ten rupees, but in his haste he forgot to take off his HyMart vest. He worked his way through the maze of shelving and aisles and approached the back of the store where the giant EMPLOYEES ONLY door called his name. Beyond that was a hallway, and beyond that was the break room, where his cold sandwich packed in a plastic bag beckoned him closer…
“Excuse me?” a light voice called. Link whirled around, realizing his mistake as his hands naturally found themselves in his vest pockets. “Could you help me find something?”
His eyes landed on a blonde woman carrying a tote bag and wearing a white sundress. His mind flitted between two outcomes: “No, sorry, I’m on break,” and “Sure, what do you need?” A good employee, one that wasn’t on the verge of getting fired everyday, would say sure.
“Yeah, what do you need?” he asked, approaching her.
“Oh, I was looking for this,” the woman said, pulling up a picture on her phone and showing him. “I’m just not sure where to find it.”
“I can take you to where the Loftwing Feed is,” Link said, motioning with his hand for her to follow. He didn’t mind showing customers where to find certain things, but in this case, they needed to travel to the other side of the store. So, to lessen the journey’s awkwardness, he made conversation. “Hot outside, huh?”
“It is. Really, it’s horrible you have to wear long pants.”
“Tell me about it.” A weird silence assumed, as silent as it could be with the outdated pop songs cracking out of the overhead speakers. “So do you, um, own Loftwings?” What a stupid question! If she wasn’t standing right there, he would’ve slapped himself. Why else would she be buying Loftwing Feed?
“Oh, yes,” she replied. “Two of them. A red and a blue one.”
Link deliberately slowed his pace. “What are their names?”
“The red one is Cawlin and the blue one is Strich.”
“Interesting names. I used to have one too–it was named Beedle.”
He didn’t miss the way the customer leaned a little forward to peer at his nametag with squinted eyes. Unfortunately, they were arriving at the animal feed aisle.
“Thank you for helping me, Link,” she said, a little too charming, brushing some hair over her shoulder.
“It’s no problem, uh…”
“Zelda.”
“It’s no problem, Zelda.”
That cold sandwich, soggy from sitting in the fridge, tasted a little more lonely that day. Most of his coworkers with whom he was friends were out on the floor, and of course that blonde customer probably hadn’t given him a second thought once she got her heaping bag of bird food. To his surprise, he was excited when his break was over because it meant he was a little closer to going home.
He was back on the register as usual, even though he would’ve preferred a spot down at self checkout, but didn’t complain since the constant flow of people helped pass time faster. That was until an obnoxious man with an equally obnoxious hairdo came up to his register with an overflowing cart.
Link greeted him as he normally would and began to scan as efficiently as he could, sometimes pausing to punch in the numbers for fruits or veggies. The customer didn’t say much to him–just hummed, scrolled on his phone, occasionally nodded at a question. Link found it a little rude but kept on with his job hoping he could quickly finish the customer’s transaction. Everything had been going smoothly; groceries were neatly in bags, all the items were scanned correctly and there had been no system errors.
Then the man pulled out a stack of coupons.
“You want me to use these?” Link asked, picking up the stack. The customer nodded and raised an eyebrow. Link began to scan them, but each one brought up a few dollar signs on the terminal, signifying that they weren’t working, so he inspected them closer.
They expired last year.
“Sir, unfortunately these coupons aren’t working because–”
“They should work.” Ah, so he does speak. “I made sure it’s for all the right items. You can look yourself.” He pointed at the mountain of bags.
Link repeated himself after heaving a sigh to maintain his composure. “They aren’t working because they’re expired. These expired last year, sir.”
The customer dramatically exhaled and fumbled around his pocket, fishing out his wallet and picking through it exaggeratedly. He slammed a card on the ledge by the card reader and then pulled out another one.
“Okay, fine, if you won’t take my coupons, can I at least use this?” The red-haired man shoved a blue card into Link’s face. The words on it read Zora Juice. He could hardly believe his eyes–this was a gift card for a smoothie store. This man, this customer, was standing in the middle of a HyMart trying to pay for his groceries with a smoothie store gift card.
“Um, sir, this is for Zora Juice,” Link informed him after spending a moment mustering up the courage to do so.
“Yes.”
“Okay… this is a HyMart.”
“Yeah, I know.” The customer ran his hand over his bright red pompadour.
“This is a different store. You can’t use this gift card here.”
There was a pause as the air in the store stilled and time screeched to a halt. The customer–whose name was Groose, based on the debit card he put on the ledge–seemed to be going through the five stages of grief with the way his face contorted into twenty different expressions all at once. Then, he exploded.
Groose snapped at him, asking why he couldn’t properly do his job, saying this is why kids need to stay in school, that Link was an incompetent cashier, all other kinds of insults under the HyMart ceiling. Link glanced nervously over to the customer service desk where Ghirahim was dealing with a rush and clearly frazzled, the way he waved his hands about and the faces he was making. There’d be no way to get him over for help, so Link braced himself for the worst.
The customer was about to turn as red as his hair when suddenly, a finger in his face cut him off.
“And just who do you think you are?”
“I– uh–”
Link could hardly contain his shock when he saw Loftwing Feed woman, in her sundress and holding her tote bag, pointing a finger directly in Groose’s face.
“It’s not his fault those coupons or that card doesn’t work. Why do you insist on bothering him?”
“I suppose…”
“Suppose what?”
Groose stared at her for a few moments and the cashier, now awkwardly caught in the middle, didn’t miss the way his entire body softened for just a moment. But then Groose shook his head, swiped his debit card, and left with his groceries in a huff.
The woman–Zelda, that’s her name–stepped up to the register as Link began to scan her items, bringing himself down from the nerves and excitement of that encounter. Rude customers always had him a little shaky, but it was different this time having someone to support him.
“Um, thank you,” he finally said after a few moments of silence, poked with buzzes and beeps.
“It’s no problem. I used to work in a supermarket, too.” Her eyes darted around nervously, tapping her foot. “Say, I don’t know what your schedule is like, but do you like coffee?”
“Sometimes it’s the only thing that gets me up in the mornings,” Link joked, typing in some numbers on his terminal. “Why?”
“I was wondering if you would be interested in getting a coffee with me sometime.”
If Link did not have customer service training, he would’ve jumped for joy and said yes immediately, but he kept himself composed, used his hand scanner on her Loftwing Feed, and then answered.
“Sure.”
“Great, sounds good.”
Link handed her the receipt, but she instead pulled a pen from her bag, wrote some numbers on it, and handed it back to him. Her phone number.
“You might need this on your way out–”
“It’s okay!” she said, already walking off with her cartload of items, Loftwing Feed neatly tucked into the bottom. Thankfully, he watched her walk out of the doors without being stopped by one of the greeters, but his trance was broken by a customer waving in his face.
“Hello? Young man?”
Link turned to the customer with a sigh. Until that coffee date, his life would simply be the buzzes and beeps of the register.

It is exceptionally funny to introduce my specific blorbo (the pathetic wet cat of a man he is, the one and only Ghirahim) to those who are not in the fandom. Because, in the case of my family who see things through the Blue F, they see vague sketches and then fully done art aND THEN THE DEATH I HAVE DRAWN FOR THE CHARACTER.
My cousin, my poor beloved cousin, saw this picture of Ghirahim first (because I am not a coward about being an independent adult human on a Sunday afternoon):
Tumblr media
THIS IS GHIRAHIM AS A BELLYDANCER.
YOU CAN LOOK ME IN THE FACE AND I WON’T APOLOGIZE FOR WHAT I POSTED HALF AN HOUR LATER:
Tumblr media
THIS IS MY BOY
DYING
IN THE ARMS OF A LINK VARIANT NAMED LOP
So yes, my poor cousin was immediately concerned and asked why she was introduced to my blorbo only for me to kill him.

Ghirahim sets a hand on his chest, affecting an offended look. “You have been gifted a monumental treasure, stunning blade that I am. A monster’s horn produces such a beguiled smile from you but I give you all of myself and you break apart into tears? I should be insulted.”
