The Sealer of Calamity, the Ancient Princess Zelda

I don't know if anyone remembers my Zelink Week 2023 project, but I've finally fleshed it out! Zelda has a more finalized design taking inspiration from both her parents (Rauru and Sonia) and the Sage of Time (Zelda II). This design will be used in Origins of Calamity, a post-TotK fic I will be using to tie together the narratives of the Imprisoning War and the first Calamity (yes, I have constructed a long-winded timeline). I am so genuinely excited to share this story, and I'm hoping to do so soon (I want to have the first few chapters in their final draft stage before posting them). Enjoy this little bit of updated concept art in the meantime! :)

HELLO EVERYONE!! I just checked, and it turns out I joined Tumblr a year ago today. In this year, I haven't managed to finish any of my larger au wips, but I HAVE almost reached 200 followers and have met so many other great artists who have been vital to my learning process! (Special thanks to my mutuals, you're fantastic 💙)

To celebrate, I want to do something fun! I'm a bit last-minute at realizing this, so I couldn't really draw anything... but, I had a neat idea! I'll be keeping a special eye on my ask box this week (send to @nocturne-side-blog, @loz-untold-myths, @meet-again-in-another-life, @writingnocturne, @nocturnalfandomdoodles) to give an update/answer on any wips of your choice! You could ask about a specific AU, something I've drawn while back (like my Minish Fi, for example), or ask about any canon-related LoZ artwork I currently have sketched out to become full pieces later! I'd also be willing to talk about some ideas not-so-related to TLoZ. Thank you all for an awesome year. :)

Twilight Princess Zelda! I love her design so much, but it intimidates me... This is going to be an example for my updated commission sheets, as well, as this style will be one of the options available for the updated commissions. This was my first experiment with it, so it may be a little rough (it IS a little rough). I'm also considering offering a Ghibli-inspired style as well; what do you guys think?

At least I'm a bit more comfortable drawing her dress now. I almost chickened out on the pauldrons.

Hey! I've decided to make a side blog for my low-quality doodles and sketches, so they don't drown out my finished pieces. This is actually a redraw of something I drew 2-3 years ago (which will be shown side by side against it on the Discord server). It took forever (I started it in the morning on a whim and finished at around nightfall, given I took some breaks). Regardless, it's finished - and I think I've really improved since then. I've always been lazy with backgrounds, but I'm slowly getting... less lazy!

The new year is on the horizon! I joined in late January of this year, which works out pretty well to take a look at everything I've done this year. First of all, I want to thank everyone who has encouraged my work, supported me, and given me helpful advice this year!! I also have to thank all 180 (exactly) people who have decided they like my stuff decently enough!! (except the like 50 bots I had to block, forget you)

here's an oc you get no context other than she's more of a mess than she looks

I usually have a strict policy of not sharing my OC content on here (mostly because I plan on publishing a lot of my original stories in the form of games or they're reserved for projects with friends), but I was a bit too proud of this the other day. I started it as a sketch at midnight and ended up finishing at three in the morning. I remember none of it.

❄️Winter Photo❄️

Happy holidays to those celebrating at the moment! I figured these two could use a joyful moment after everything they've been through.

I wanted to make a quick doodle I could use as an icon somewhere. I tried colored lines this time around, as opposed to lineless or solid black lines. Does it look okay? I tried to make Zelda look like she had a minor glow without having to make a major lighting change. I'm trying to decide how I like this style (not gonna look at this too much, though, I don't want to already start hating it).
