cw: reader is mentioned wearing a dress and corset, mentions of a butt plug, pet play? kinda
very specific thought I have sometimes when I online shop: deku likes to buy your clothes for you. not in a weird, controlling way really—he just has certain….visions of you in the things he sees. and he’s a little obsessive on his worse day, and he knows he won’t ever get the image of you in those pants if he doesn’t buy them for you immediately.
he’s a little bit of an idiot though, is scammed damn near every week because instagram wont stop promoting those websites that sell all might themed undies and those knee highs with his own face plastered all over them. he says it’s worth it though, when the clothing comes and he surprises you with them with the hope of a fashion show.
he sits on the side of the bed, biting at his thumb nail, staring at your moving shadow from under the en-suite bathroom door. he brought you a baby blue dress with fluffy white buttons up the chest, a matching corset that he’s waiting to tie up, the bunny ears that came with it, and a pair of blue boots with fuzzy ears on top. it’s ridiculous, you told him the moment he showed it to you. I’m not some show pony, you poke at him when you take the clothes in hand. You’re just a perv, you mutter as you close the bathroom door behind you, ready to try it all on.
And you feel so stupid when you come out, all fuzzy and blue, ready to ask if you should hop over to him. But Izuku looks damn near in awe, eyes rounded and his hands in the air, reaching out for you, quietly telling you to turn around for him. You don’t expect for him to rush over to you, to hook his chin over your shoulder, to whisper about how pretty you are, for his warm and large hands to tie the corset so gently, that your breath stutters from his closeness.
“You like it?” You ask him, looking at him from under your lashes, watch how his big emerald eyes damn near sparkle as he takes you all in. Izuku hesitates before he answers with a nod, guilty eyes fluttering over to another unopened box you hadn’t seen by the door.
“I think the whole outfit will be complete with one last finishing touch.” He murmurs, doesn’t let your turn in his hold, grabs you tight against him as he hides his warmed cheeks in your neck.
“Which is?” You hum, swaying a little, letting the high skirt of the dress tug up even higher against the very obvious bulge resting at the curve of your ass. Izuku pauses for a moment, before he whispers into your skin,
A bunny tail butt plug. Just for the aesthetic.” He tacks the last part on quickly, seals it with a kiss against your jaw, groans a little when you gasp. You eye the package now, suddenly interested in this little get up, finally understanding his pervy little methods. You smile though, wide, and stroke the hand resting around your stomach, the other carding through Izuku’s thick locks.
“Just for the aesthetic.” You agree and, you swear, you feel his entire body tremble behind you.

While you turned your eyes away for what felt like no more than a moment, the island stepped away from the firm, safe embrace of summer and into autumn’s melancholy gold. Now, the sun hangs low in the sky even though the evening is still early, and its golden beams shine with as much warmth it could possibly muster over the southwestern ocean. A gentle wind blows along the shore, rustling every leaf and every blade of grass in its way, and despite your coat you shiver just a little.
You do not think of how she would have loved this evening. You do not think of how she might have been standing right where you are, watching the last rays of sun slowly disappear from the ruins’ stone walls, or how she might have sat in her kitchen over a cup of tea lit up by the golden evening light, or how she might have been tending to her garden in the ever-colder breeze, taking special care of the roses as their bloom slowly came to an end. By now, of course, they have already wilted, but it was all too early this year. The gardeners knew something was terribly, terribly wrong, they said, when overnight their rose bushes withered and died, their thriving garden suddenly no more than a mess of crumpled, brown decay.
The ruins are filled with all those who loved her and all those she loved. At the edge of the cliff overlooking the Jarl’s tomb and spilling out into the meadow of wildflowers stands, secluded, a large group of Druids clad in the same sort of silvery grey robes as always, hoods pulled up further and hems sewn longer than you have ever seen before. By what once was the corner of the Abbey stands the stargazer—or, as he would prefer to be known today, Elizabeth’s closest friend—with his gaze fixed on the darkest point of the sky and something like anticipation in his eyes, as if expecting to see a constellation that wasn’t there before. The innermost circle of the Keepers of Aideen has gathered around the central altar, so completely and entirely silent that they are a stark contrast to even the rest of the gathering, and in the centre of the half-circle they form lies a lone red rose. It bloomed this morning in the lovingly cared for wild bushes outside her cottage, one of its kind in the crowd of withered flowers surrounding it, and it will remain bright for as long as it is remembered and loved.
Even long after the memorial ends and the sun sets, your group of five remains on the edge of the cliff overlooking the sea. When you finally leave, all of the Abbey’s candles have long since burnt out, the stars are so bright and countless that all of them cannot possibly have been there before, and left behind on one of the many memorial stones is a small, pink crystal.
By morning, even though it is far too early for the seasons to change, the wind will have turned and brought in a thick, chilling fog, and every one of Jorvik’s countless trees will be a vibrant shade of yellow. You will hear it, then, as a whisper in the rustling leaves, just as clearly as you will feel it in the sting of cold morning air in your lungs and see it in afternoon’s golden sunbeams disappearing over the horizon far too soon: even the island itself cannot remain the same without her.

txf30 day 4: favorite dynamic (besides the obvious): scully/mulder/skinner
y’all mind if i ramble for a second?? there are so many connections that are so important to this story, but i always come back to these three. i think everything does.
i say that memento mori is the most loving episode of the series, but when i think about that one, it’s not even the kiss in the hallway that stays with me. it’s skinner coming in to work, the first time scully was in the hospital, and finding mulder sitting in his office. and he’s just been sitting there. bypassed the secretary (lol), and just sat and waited. he doesn’t have anywhere else to go.
and the way that skinner tells him, no. don’t do it to yourself under any circumstances. that he is not to risk himself to try to save scully. ultimately, it’s not mulder that made the deal with the devil, it’s skinner who didn’t follow his own advice. (gave up everything he has, to save them both).
and these are just two weirdos who work for him in the basement!! he doesn’t owe them anything. but he’s the one there, at the end, no matter what. he’s the one who comes to get them when they’re hurt, or lost, or need help. they’re his emergency contacts, the people who show up, the people who advocate for him. the people who know him. (the bigfoot division are a.d. skinner’s silly rabbits etc etc etc)
in iwtb, after six years away, it’s skinner who comes to get scully, on the side of the road, next to mulder’s flipped car. tells her that they will find him, that he’s okay, to breathe. it’s skinner that holds mulder on the ground, in the end.
when mulder went back to bellefleur, it's skinner that scully sent with him. that girl has never trusted a single soul to so much as breathe mulder's air, but "i won't let you go alone," is immediately followed by skinner packing the car.
like trish said last night:
i think telling scully he "lost" mulder was the hardest thing he ever did. skinner loves mulder too, but mulder is scully's entire world. and this time around, he won't let scully be alone the way mulder was.
(and the kindest thing scully ever did: squeezing his hand, saying "i already heard.")
(skinner returns the favor: he tells mulder about william, so that scully doesn't have to.)
my favorite moment in requiem is the final scene, the two of them crying together. the only two people. the only two people who know.
when she tells him that she's pregnant, he's the first to know. the only person to know, for most of her pregnancy. 18 years later, he's still the first person thinking of their baby, looking out for him.
honestly, it always comes back to sein und zeit for me. when after 7 years, after 27 years, mulder says that it's just too much, and he wants to go home. he wants time away from work. the sequence in the car: mulder in the backseat, skinner behind the wheel, scully on the passenger's side. for so many years, mulder had to be searching, so that he wouldn't be alone. but now he stands in front of two people who love him, and admits to needing a break. to wanting it to stop. he's guided, he's guarded.
skinner is a hardass. it's not easy to manage their madness. it's not easy to write the footnotes, to be the person waiting, in this particular story. but like he tells mulder, 14 years after they last worked together: not a day goes by where he doesn't just wish they were there, trying to make things better.

Spocktober + Trektober Day 5 - Sauna
Fun fact: I literally teared up while looking at reference pics of Chekov because he's just. So damn cute. Not relevant to this redux of a Seinfeld meme, but still!
(ID under cut)
[Image ID: A black and white redraw of a scene from Seinfeld, featuring Chekov, Sulu, and Spock from Star Trek: The Original Series, in two panels.
Panel one: Closeup on Chekov, shirtless, leaning against a panelled wall. He says "It is like a sauna in here."
Panel two: A wideshot reveals he is, in fact, sitting in a sauna, along with Sulu and Spock, who look at him, Sulu smirking, Spock thoroughly unimpressed, while he smiles, unruffled.
Above the drawing is written "Trektober" and "Day 5 - Sauna." Below it is written "@aerialworms" and "Spocktober"./End ID]
