I've been obsessed with vintage comics lately, and I wanted to try out a new colouring style, so here is a redux of Day 19 of my Spocktober/Trektober 2023, Tribbles!

The one on the left has curly fur and is smaller than the other two. It is coloured blonde, and has one prominent curl right at the top of it, similar to a certain starship captain's...
The one in the middle, behind the other two, has glossy straight black fur and is taller than the other two. Its fur ends in a severe line, like Vulcan bangs.
The third tribble is about as big as the middle one, only this one has dark brown, messier, more layered fur. Its fur is swept to the left, much like Doctor McCoy's.
Wiggly lines indicate they are all purring or trilling as tribbles do, and three cartoon hearts float above them. The two tribbles on either end are spilling out slightly over the border of the drawing. The background is a light blue at the top, fading into lavender underneath them. Their shadows are purple, and the white paper of the borders is aged and yellowy. The layers of colour (cyan, yellow, magenta) are made up of tiny dots, and are offset slightly, creating chromatic aberration.

I've been wanting to do hourly comic day for ages, finally remembered (at 00:01 on 2nd feb), and here we are! I had a lot of fun with this!
Featuring (in order of appearance) my child Fluffy, Narcissus the brachycephalic cat, Prince the sentient mop dog, and Cassie the-not-so-fluffy-but-also-black cat. And @salty-lich-queen makes an appearance from 19:00-23:00!

Here's the list of available stories. They'll be crossed out as they're claimed:
You'll pick your top choices (I recommend having 3 to 6) and put them in as a list in the sign-up. Claiming is first come first serve.
Here are the sign ups:
Rules:
Everyone must produce 1 completed piece of work.
Digital, traditional art, fanmixes, fanvids (videos), gifs, collages, and photo edits are allowed.
You may sign up as a writer and an artist. However, you can not be the artist for your own story. (This is supposed to be a collaboration after all.)
You shouldn't try and tell the writer what they "should" write, if they want your feedback they will most likely ask for it. Just as the writers should not be telling you what to make, (unless you ask for their opinions). You should not harass the writer, as they should not be harassing you. If any issues arise that cannot be resolved, please contact a mod (host) of this event.
Fanworks minimum requirements:
Digital & traditional is at least 1 completed piece.
Fanmixes should include at least 10 songs.
Fanvids should be at least 1 minute long.
If you're making GIFs make at least 2.
If you make collages you should make 2.
For photo edits make at least 2.

Spocktober + Trektober Day 20 - Soulmates
They love each other really! They've just had a long voyage home...

Spock is watching this with detached curiosity. His posture is more relaxed and his left arm is being pulled towards Bones because Bones is pulling on the thread.
Jim is standing in the middle, feet edging over the border of the drawing. His hands are on his hips, and he is looking up despairingly at his soulmates, saying "Can't you two just get along? Please?"

Spocktober + Trektober Day 19 - Tribbles
Oh no, yet another transporter malfunction! Or perhaps it's just three very familiar looking tribbles?

The one on the left has curly fur and is smaller than the other two. It has one prominent curl right at the top of it, similar to a certain starship captain's...
The one in the middle, behind the other two, has glossy straight black fur and is taller than the other two. Its fur ends in a severe line, like Vulcan bangs.
The third tribble is about as big as the middle one, only this one has messier, more layered fur. Its fur is swept to the left, much like Doctor McCoy's.
Wiggly lines indicate they are all purring or trilling as tribbles do, and three cartoon hearts float above them. The two tribbles on either end are spilling out slightly over the border of the drawing.

Spocktober + Trektober Day 18 - Medbay
Jim's gotten himself injured yet again...

Spocktober + Trektober Day 17 - Survival Training
Their camping dates in The Final Frontier are everything to me :'3

I wanted to add the unedited version too because I actually quite like the scrappiness of it! Plus I find it funny that I've done 16 of these and somehow managed to switch the 'Spocktober' and 'Trektober' in the corners on the 17th and not like. the second. 😅
I'm sticking this one right up on my wall :3
