Bulkhead:

the big guy loves art, having been exposed to his fair share of it by miko, and is very encouraging when it comes to your projects

he might not get some of the nuances or meanings of the things you make, but he tries - oftentimes making you laugh a bit at the sheer amount he misses. it’s endearing though, and you appreciate the effort

too fidgety to sit and watch you do anything for too long, but he’ll offer to drive you to a vista for some inspiration while he does his usual scouting routes, miko tagging along of course. she’ll probably bring her sketchbook with her and sit next to you and draw, chattering the entire time while blasting some music from her ipod, offering you one of her earbuds

Arcee:

similar to ratchet she takes a while to get used to you, a little cold at first to your attempts at friendliness

she notices how happy you seem to make everyone else and eventually makes a legitimate pass at being friendly despite how awkward it feels

but with how eagerly you accept it she doesn’t feel as bad, sighing in relief as you immediately start filling her in on how much you’ve enjoyed your time with the autobots

she’s not much of a conversationalist (especially when it comes to humans) so your chattiness is almost a relief - not having to keep up fake interest and energy with someone puts her in a more comfortable position; especially since you’re not one to comment on it like others tend to

will sit and watch you work on whatever your newest project is, a comfortable silence shared between the two of you

rambles about random stuff from her past sometimes - you turn out to be one of the few people she trusts enough to mindlessly dump her thoughts to, both good and bad

Bumblebee:

one of the first to get to know you, overly excited about having a fresh face around

super curious when he sees you working on something, a barrage of questions translated from mechanical chirps and whirrs with the help (and annoyance) of ratchet

he’ll actually try and mimic some of your art on the walls of hidden ditches where he and rafael hang out, excitedly bringing you along to show off his latest work and buzzing happily when you praise it

will eventually, with your encouragement, try and make something original - he ends up finding it pretty soothing and an easier way to feel understood; communicating his feelings without words can be unsurprisingly helpful for someone who can’t use any of his own

you’ll spend hours hanging out and working on your stuff - he likes when you help him with his own art, adding your own brushstrokes to the concrete wall

he’ll let you sit up on his shoulder just to watch him make whatever he feels like making, or even just taking you on joyrides in the desert where he doesnt need to worry about anything going wrong

while it’s usually you, him and raf hanging out he does enjoy spending solo time with you - usually in silence or one-sided conversations, but you understand each other well enough without words

will also figure out what your favorite songs are and surprise you with them; he loves when you get all giddy about literally anything

bri I literally rewatched the Ep were Buffy gets kicked out of the Big Brother House + they go to the Bronze and it’s SO much funnier than I even remembered jfc

The fact that even Faith is like “wait I literally don’t want to be in charge, I just think B needs to take a nap before we rush into a plan” but EVERYONE ELSE INCLUDING BUFFY’S FRIENDS ARE JUST LIKE “ABSOLUTELY NOT, WE WANT VIOLENCE” is HYSTERICAL. The only other person NOT on team “get this blonde OUTTA HERE” is Principal Wood, and that’s EXCLUSIVELY because Faith read him so hard after their 3 minute conversation that he was too horned up to speak the rest of the night (and frankly he’s right for that).

Speaking of King Wood btw, forgot that he basically says to Faith “Fuffy Real Yeah?” which leads to Faith shading him and him literally BATTING HIS EYES BASICALLY AT HER LIKE ‘noooo faith don’t come for my everything noooo omg (kicks feet)’.

S7 was trip. I’m still mad that those ex wives never kiss. They literally argue every 10 seconds & Buffy is STILL dealing w/ this tangible fear that Faith is gonna try to fuck her life up again. She literally can’t parse that Faith just wants to like, be there & be a part of things!!! Let my stupid brunette big brown eyed loser girlfailure just grab her and kiss her!!! Please!!!

anyway god yeah i really wish there had been more time for buffy/faith interactions bc like. what we get is SO tantalizing.

i love how the dynamic kinda flips - buffy's got all this anger she's been holding onto and faith, in the meantime, has become kinda just stoic and sad and even more fuckable. some good gifsets have REALLY highlighted this but the contrast btwn s3/s4 faith goading buffy into violence and gleefully accepting her ass whoopings vs s7 faith. when she gets suckerpunched in dirty girls she takes it really gracefully. when buffy hits her again outside the bronze in empty spaces she looks SO disappointed and devastated. watching that dynamic untangle over more time would have been soooo satisfying.

i guess that's what fic is for. there are a bunch of good s7 ones out there anyway.

- i was kinda bummed you unalived i mean fired Brian off camera so easily, i wanted him to try reprimanding Oscar for his hilarious, politely sassy - but very public - comments during the Qatar GP and for Lando to come swooping to his defence 🫣 idea? maybe a leftover Brian Lackey? we all know Lando would throw hands the first chance he gets to defend Oscar

- also, imagine the Mexican GP in this universe - more importantly, the 5 F2 rookies driving in FP1 and your lore about how F2 drivers all look up to Oscar? Fred would be normal about it but imagine just 4 wide-eyed eager puppies following Oscar around and Lando just going full caveman banging pots and pans hollering in the town square declaring “THAT ONE MINE NO TOUCHY” in the background while Oscar’s just ☺️ ‘it’s really great to have them here’

- i was done with those two points but then i remembered Oscar inviting Lewis to an RC-car race after his win in Suzuka and I just 🤯 ??? Lewis IRL is so hugely supportive of the LGBTQI+, I just can’t help imagine how he’d fit in the Mission universe (accidental reluctant relationship guru? ‘don’t make the same mistakes i did?’)

ok yeah you absolutely are in my brain because how did you know i had a whole scene planned where lewis talked to oscar after the race (bc he of course crashed into him in monza), firstly to apologize but when he realizes osc and lando just fought he was going to be all 'don't you dare let racing tear you apart you will regret it forever *cough* i still love nico *cough*.' but yes i love lewis and im trying to work him into a future mission fic!

okay, this is such a random thing to drop in your inbox but i'm finally finishing watching season 2 of the punisher (i was too scared to finish it before now because i avoid things when i get too emotionally attached to them, whoops).

ANYWAY, i'm watching 2x12 and like ten minutes into the episode, frank goes to this guy's office. i cannot for the life of me remember his name but i know he's important to the amy plotline. and anyway, i'm watching this scene and the guy reminds me of steven from your bodyguard series. like he is literally what i would imagine steven to look and act like.

narcassitic, entitled, asshole. like this is just steven and it just gave me a good little giggle as i was watching.

okay that first part is so real bc I do the exact same thing. BUT good news is there’s more frankie to come soon!

also I know exactly who you’re talking about and I completely forgot about him 😂

steven essentially is every entitled rich asshole i’ve ever met. I have a specific actor in my head when I write about him (whenever I write my own characters, I picture who would play them so I have physical attributes to describe) but I love hearing who y’all picture in your heads!

stonathan is such a fun fanon ship, like it has enemies(slash rivals) to lovers, popular guy x weird guy, and also there was. NOTHING. straight about the fight they had in s1.

Update Post - Week 4, November 14, 2022

Whoops... forgot it was Sunday yesterday! Time is a circle.

The demo continues to be written. Right now I am about 4k in words, but the bulk of my time has gone to handling code and going over some design layouts with a close friend. I expected the prologue to be short and sweet, but I decided to be completely extra about the character customization and additional details by adding some cool effects and other tomfoolery. Oh, I want to share them for proof that I've been working hours everyday at this WIP... but I'll leave it as a surprise for now!

I'm also experimenting with a cool feature. This is very tentative, but clicking on certain links in the text (of which will be a different color than a regular link that lets you proceed) will have you "look" at an object, person or place. This will bring up additional description or information on them, and this info will be added to your codex (will be implemented in the future). Looking at certain things may influence the story, indirectly (if you forget something, you may not be able to look it up if you didn't interact with it) or directly (characters noticing you looking). I might make this optional, and I'm still wondering whether to add it, but I think it'll be cool! Please let me know your thoughts on it!

Worked more on the lore and worldbuilding. I'm very comforted by the fact that I've figured out more about my world, and I'm excited to continue exploring it today and in the future! This'll allow me to better answer lore questions and give the world a better feel. This seems pretty minor, but trust me when I say I'm super happy with it because it'll really let the setting come to life.

I'm thrilled about the progress I'm making after clawing my way out of my emergency. Now that I'm of good health and mind again, I can throw myself at writing and coding happily.

There are so many minor adjustments I'm so excited to share, but I'll keep them all a secret for now... Can't show my entire hand yet!

Closing this, a question for all of you guys: since the pantheon of gods are so extensive and you guys loved MCs' parents (the enthusiasm is insane! I've gotten so many asks about them and even more in my inbox still), how many of you guys would be interested in a weekly (or somehow regularly scheduled) spotlight of the other minor side characters? This'll cover all Twelve gods and their children briefly!

I thought of this because I want to keep you guys entertained while the demo is still in the works, and I'm delighted that people are just as invested in the side characters. I hope to introduce you guys to more of them and test the waters for their reception!

Ya know what, the Puppet from FNAF sounds interesting!

Another great request! You're right, it does sound interesting.

I started thinking about it, and immediately found the suffix. Mask. It fit well, considering how the puppet looks.

My prefix choice wasn't readily apparent. I considered Crocodile, for "crocodile tears", but it didn't seem to fit.

Eventually, I settled upon "Webbedmask". Webbed seemed rather fitting, when compared to the strings operating a marionette, and mask comes from the last thing you see after the music box runs out.

I imagine Webbedmask wasn't the original name, and Charlie and her father are both former kittypets who were abandoned.

I think Charlie was named after a children's character.

Still, I bet the 'friendly' loner with a strange name came around, and actually made good friends with Charlie's father.

But...Charlie was killed. And then she met a new friend.

This friend was lonely, and had been dead for a while. At first, Charlie was scared, but the friend understood. Her friend's dad was the friendly loner, and her friend hated his whole family.

Her friend asked for help, and Charlie gladly agreed. With a make-believe pretend ceremony, her friend gave her the name "Webbedmask".

Whoops It’s Wednesday! + Commission Reopening/Repricing Info

Forgot about TMI Tuesday cuz i had social functions and errands to tend to, and i was also enamored with a Feat of Nature that happened on my way to CVS to pick up my meds. So Whoops! It’s wednesday! A reminder that my askbox is indeed open for all manner of things (OCs, kinks, fandom questions etc) in the vein of TMI Tuesday asks! Doodle requests/suggestions are welcome, but as usual, i will not answer those and will let those sit in my inbox to peruse for when i have time to do some!

I also want to take this post as an opportunity to let ya’ll know a bit of Commission Planning I’ve made.

Firstly, the current plan is to take commissions by way of Google Forms (Form is still in progress). The form itself will have all my commission information so that it’ll be (hopefully) easy to find AND see before actually sending in what one may want.

Secondly, I plan to only take a handful at a time (roughly five), so i dont have 30+ waiting on me like last time, resulting in a year and a half wait time cuz life decided to be mean to me.

Thirdly, Prices WILL be going up, and I will be limiting the MAX figure limit to 2. Rent is expensive and i may have medical costs coming my way, so i gotta start making sure my coffers are properly tended to during 2023. ==== Here are the current price changes: (Not finalized, but I feel good about them)

Busts: $15 (up from 10) Waist up: $30 (up from 20) Full Body: $45 (up from 30)

YCHs: $20 (up from 15) for most. 3a would be $25 Extras: No price change, though the higher end for what i’d charge for backgrounds will go up to $30 (up from a max of $20) ==== There is still no ETA on the opening, but i do want to have the form done by later this month. I know some people have been waiting on me, and i appreciate their patience!

i'm so dumb, i wanted to add some little comments so I'll just do it now :((

I did NOT know that panoxyl had a moisturizer with spf!!! like WHAT

I'll probably use that to replace my other moisturizers during the day time because that is just so convenient

I think i've seen the the elf power grip primer in the pharmacy(unless I have that confused with another WHOOPS) but I may give it a try. What do you think about using that alone on top of moisturizer without any other makeup. I'm not that experienced at makeup(I barely use any) so idk if it'll look weird or not?

I want something to make my face look nice without having to go too deep into a whole regime

I've actually been thinking about getting the neutrogena healthy skin liquid makeup. it has spf 20 so that would be good as well but I'm not sure if it'll leave my face looking greasy after a while. trial and error right? and it's not too pricey so nothing to lose I guess

as for the snail mucin, I once got a face mask that had snail mucin as a free sample from a shop and let me tell you- it was the best thing ever! I woke up with my skin feeling so soft and smooth and it had such a nice glow, I didn't even want to wash my face in the morning lol. It felt perfect, like glowy but without the over oily-ness and thickness and it was just amazing. Unfortunately that was like 2 years ago and I forgot the brand :(( I just know that it was a SUPER pricey one which is why I didn't bother to get any more lol

Top 5 Voltage being dumb as a brick moments? (I love her btw, she seems very fun ^^)

@skullchicken Hi I'm a dumbass and completely forgot about this ask while it sat in my inbox untouched for, like, multiple months.

ANYWAY. Everyone should love Voltage, she's very fun. Stories under the cut!

A majority of her backstory is essentially "you fucking dumbass." Voltage is from Miami, which was Caribbean League territory until it was taken over by the CAS in a war that's never actually described or explained. (To everyone reading this who doesn't know Shadowrun geopolitical lore, I'm sorry. I can try to give you a condensed explanation in PMs if you'd like.) I ran a campaign in Miami in the past and basically had to construct the setting from the ground up because there's nearly nothing about it in official sourcebooks, and was salty about the lazy writing decision, so I decided to make Voltage a character who was very directly affected by the aftermath of a war that basically got covered up. I digress. Here's the actual relevant part: It's Miami, so a ton of rich assholes from the CAS are obviously going to want to snatch up some beautiful beachfront property without regard to who lived there first. Among them is a shitty metaracist politician who's rolling in corporate money and doesn't hold back when it comes to his opinions on elves, so Voltage, like any reasonable thrill-seeking go-ganger, decides: "Fuck it, I'm gonna blow up this guy's fancy beach house with him in it." And she does: but he's out on the campaign trail, and not at home. To further complicate things, there are security cameras everywhere in ultra-rich neighborhoods like this one, and they get a very clear view of her while she gloats about pulling the deed off. Luckily, her bike is fast enough for her to evade the cops, and her lieutenant in the Ancients cares enough about her to quickly get her onto a smuggler's truck bound for Seattle. But they know her face and identity in the CAS, and there's a warrant out for her arrest for arson and terrorism that comes with a hefty ¥200k bounty. Whoops. (The others are a little shorter from here, but I had to tell that one first to set the tone.)

She fought a kraken with a flamethrower, just for fun. Her squad was on a smuggling mission from Seattle to San Francisco, and part of their trip was spent on an Aztechnology cruise ship (passage secured by a teammate's contact, don't worry about it). The GM did not plan for us to be on the ship, and in an attempt to hastily figure out how to get us off of said ship, they decided to have it be attacked by a kraken. Now, that's reasonable, but I'm honestly a little surprised that the GM didn't plan for Voltage being Voltage. She runs to get her flamethrower, which she's taken with her on this trip for some reason, and starts blasting the absolute hell out of it until a mage on board the ship manages to summon enough guardian spirits to chase it off.

Accidentally flung her best friend out of a flying car. In her defense, she was able to pilot it shockingly well considering her entire flight experience at the time consisted of casually playing a few flight sims, and the seat belts didn't work. Again, in a classic case of Voltage being Voltage, she gets overambitious and decides to do a fuckin' barrel roll with it, sending Zero (played by @nightingales-thighs ) flying out of the car. Fortunately, Zero is a spellslinger and had Levitate ready to go in just such an instance, but since she doesn't return immediately, Voltage is incredibly distraught and fully convinced she's sent her friend plummeting to her death. (It's okay. Zero landed dramatically on the hood of the car a minute later, and Voltage was overjoyed to see that she was alive.) Unfortunately I can only come up with those three at the moment, but if/when I think of others I'll include them in a reblog.

ive listened to a bit of the dub (through clips) and tbh i do like it!! i like brook's voice acting a lot (hes who ive heard the most of. also he nails the laugh, which is very important to me) but luffys voice is so jarring to me i just cannot.. get past it. i think im just too used to the sub luffy after . a decade . of hearing him sound like that. plus i usually have to use subtitles anyways cuz i have an audio processing disorder so. sub is just what i default to. but yeah definitely valid to watch dub instead!! they do a great job from what ive seen :)

i have seen a bit of extra content involving the live action cast and tbh usopps actor.. is my favorite. he nails usopp. hes real life usopp. and i love usopp a lot so,,. tbh i might just pirate it (ahaha.... pirate.... pirate.... pirate the pirate show .......) because i really want to watch it!!

YEAH u have plenty of time!! plus i imagine there will be a part of the story where they go back and visit places they said they would return to (like u mentioned laboon). so 2 more islands plus however long it takes to revisit everything! no need to stress

it was only super recently where i realized its not inherently a bad thing to like problematic media. to be fair tho there are definitely a lot more problematic fans when u enjoy problematic media, and i see it with one piece a lot. there is a WEIRD amount of transphobes in this community and i cant help but feel like part of that is because of oda's writing spreading some common transphobic ideas. i think hes redeemed himself a lot with the most recent trans characters, and i adore them, but the damage.. is done. but yeah im sure another big part of why theres so much negativity is just because one piece is insanely popular. the bigger the fandom, the bigger the shitty part of it is.

YEAA FELLOW ZORO FAN!! originally my favs were just the top 3 of 1. sanji 2. robin and 3. franky but as we got past water 7 and franky didnt get much more development spotlight he fell a bit just bc i dont get to see him doing much :( still love him though. bc of Shipping Reasons (embarrassing) Zoro got on my radar more and i started to appreciate him as a character more and more. plus he’s just. really badass im ngl. and in addition to that he is. so fucking stupid and uncool and goofy at the same time and that just makes him more likable. so now i just have a quartet of favs cause zoro wormed his way in there somewhere and i hold him dear to my heart. i got used to luffys dub voice bc i watched it first but ive always been meh/neutral dislike towards it and once i heard mayumi tanaka in sub i was like damn. its the only voice i dont like but hes the Main Character. his sub voice also makes me like luffy more as a character mvkjdnvf dub just makes him sound more like a selfish weird boy instead of a silly selfish little guy. you feel me (and no i feel u even with dub i have captions on bc. yeah </3)
