Just some thoughts again for this episode sorry but....

Kyouka protecting Atsushi

Tanizaki getting triggered when they hurt Kenji (maybe not as unhinged as he is with Naomi but HE WAS PROTECTIVE OF KENJI)

The way the water the ADA stood next to rippled as soon as they stood up and decided to choose the path that led to less loss of lives...a ripple effect??

YOSANO'S BUTTERFLIES ANIMATED I AM OBSESSED

ALL the character moments like Kenji encouraging the ADA, Tanizaki being frustrated and protective, Kunikida never letting any of them die, Yosano saving them all with her ability, Kyouka going back for Atsushi, poor Atsushi being so out of the loop -

I wonder where the hideout Yosano was going to take them to was going to be....

#also idk if this belongs in the main post but i am obsessed with the way each agency member has a similar aged parallel to them #like a parallel within the agency that really plays off the whole life/death symbolism #like yosano/ranpo....dazai/kunikida....kyouka/kenji....and atsushi/tanizaki #hear me out the first have yosano as an angel of death and ranpo in his backstory confront an angel of death #yosano with a bloodstained past and ranpo with a fairy happy one #and then obviously kunikida with his ideals for life and dazai with his ideal to die #kyouka with her past as an assassin and kenji with his past as a farmer (cultivating life)#and then atsushi and tanizaki being....rather extremists but also just slightly ambiguous where they stand in this dichotomy #like atsushi obviously seems like life and tanizaki seems to be death but theyre both...well there is something anyway #BUT how in the end all of them choose life (yes even dazai) and how all of them still understand the deadliness and death of the world #armed detective agency my beloveds honestly #i cherish them all so much #and also even though the similar aged thing doesnt really work out here im gonna say fukuzawa and naomi can be a parallel #for the sole reasons that both are here really because of someone else even if one is the pres and the other a clerk #but fukuzawa is all about 'you are CHILDREN please be safe'#and naomi is like 'im gonna die with you or not try and stop me'#bsd #bungou stray dogs #bungo stray dogs #bsd season 4 #bsd s4 spoilers #bsd spoilers #spitting nonsense #bsd musings #armed detective agency #rambling in the tags sorry

Hello Kate! What a wonderful and magical surprise have you dropped on us today!! Really loved the fic and I already commented this on ao3 but this really was such a lovely read!!

As always let me tell you my fav parts of this lovely part of warming! verse! Part 6 you are my fav you usurped my fav part 4!

1) The writing! Oh my god! This was one of your best writings so far!!!! Each sentence and paragraph was a banger after banger!! Hence, why I was going back and forth after each and every paragraph! There were many more but I had to pause for the sprint 😔 I always fall more and more in love with your writing with each fic you post!

2) the clothes sharing! A classic fabby. Always loved and appreciated trope in the fabby writting universe! The boxers. The pants. THE JACKET!!(the jacket part needs a appreciation on its own, i’ll get to that later)

3) the smut part, while wasn’t as smutty as other parts but it was amazing to read nonetheless. Especially Max coming undone because Charles has him wrapped around his fingers. Them not caring if they’re being loud and Charles hoping for a exhibitionism moment!?!! Max just praising his baby!

4) Charles’ growth. We have come so far from part 1. Max is really so good to him. 🥺

5) the unhinged behavior from both of them!! The press conference teasing, the texts (a classic warming verse moment), the impromptu blowjob idea!?!! Charles enjoying having the upperhand and feeling powerful and smirking. So much smirking!!!

6) them being in love. So so in love!! Disgusting(affectionate)!! I have never wanted to be in love more than I did when I was reading the fic today! The both of them thinking/saying about wanting to spend forever with one another!?!! GTFO. So in love!!!!!!!

7) Charles’ ability to shock and make Max speechless with dropping bombs out of nowhere is an art only done well in warming verse!! The power he has over the dutch man I swear to god!!

8) the whole jacket thing and the conversation and Max caring about Charles and thinking about Charles’ career. And them just being soft after sex!!! 🥺🥺 them knowing the risk they are taking with Charles wearing the rbr jacket and still doing it because they love one another!!!! 😩😩

9) the ending!!!! Charles who always has second thoughts, like in part 3, when charles goes to max’s and stands outside the door having second thoughts, but here while waiting in Max’s driver’s room having no second thoughts about a risky move! And them walking out hand held!!! And not letting go!! God!!!

Sorry this is long!!! I just wanted to appreciate this fic!! I don’t think I felt this much feelings about other warming!verse parts as much as I do about this part! Maybe it has something to do with yesterday’s magical quali and today’s sprint disappointment (from charles’ side). But really I just loved every single bit of this fic!!! 💕💕

possible name for lad is Pan or Paktolos (just bc .. reference to midas legend even if this midas got nothing to do with it; oh yeah, a bonus midas sketch .. he needs a proper redesign too)

tentacle lad may look mean here (i genuinely dont know why i drew him like that) but hes a big sappy softie, even carries a picture of midas in a locket around- next to the demon teeth hes collected he doesnt leave the island much anymore and mostly manages everything on it, his people call him by royal titles sometimes bc hes been a very competent leadership figure but he doesnt put value in any titles-

he rescued midas from the demon hunters that kidnapped him years ago to bring one of the biggest and most influencial empires to collapse after his older sister, who was the empress, was unexpectedly dying- midas being the next in line the empire doesnt really exist anymore at this point, midas now leading missions around the island instead, or going around keeping up to date with politics and tensions since his husband (tentacle lad) and his people are of a kind that is largely being kept a secret and would be a target for demon hunters as well, despite them not being demons (they look monstrous but are more based on animals, are native to earth, cannot change form, age only somewhat slower than humans and have no control over any elemental magic more than a very skilled human can have- which is basically not even noticable and usually gets passed off as 'talent' in the way a skilled sailor can feel the approaching weather in the wind)

I just noticed Mephisto matches with Barbatos (who is matchy with Diavolo) in the anniversary outfits in his SSR memory card

These three were also the only three who had half masks in the masquerade event!!!

Anyway, The Royals with Mephisto chat group when? We got one for Purgatory Hall with Raphael..... it's just fair !!

sorry to indirect my entire dash right now but do you know how much plastic Shein is putting out in the world with clothes that will be worn once (if at all)? do you know how many plastic bags are manufactured in a day? do you know how many gallons of oil Shell is dumping into the Great Barrier Reef or the gulf of Alaska (where we get most of the fish we EAT) every day? do you know how much plastic packaging is LITERALLY unnecessary and could be replaced with paper? How many plastic straws are consumed in a day, and how many could be made with biodegradable plastic instead, or how many non-shitty paper straws could be made, easily, but plastic is $.001 cheaper so companies won't do it and want you to think paper goods are the enemy?

Adopting pet mini-causes that detract from the rage deserved by corporations for the deep and irreconcilable harm they are causing, is one of the worst things you can do for the environment. Because you being distracted by things that don't matter as much is what those corporations want so they can carry on as they are. be angry about BIG things that fucking matter. not making ~100k extra vinyls that will be kept and used and listened to for 10+ years. 100k items is not a lot when their longevity and everything else thats going on is factored in. Taylor Swift making vinyls is not a wastage problem like the rest of the shit happening in the world with plastics is a wastage problem. be SO fucking serious right now and please don't insult actual ongoing environmental issues by focusing your rage on physical MUSIC.

oh no! never! he's not the violent type At All - with aus, i like to adhere to canon as much as possible, and from what i can gather... Wally is quite the pacifist!

so in this au, he's occasionally violent, but only by Necessity. out of a need to protect his friends. he doesn't enjoy it in the least, and in the early stages of the timeline, he himself got hurt quite a bit due to his hesitance to fight back / inherently peaceful nature. it takes him many years to get to the point where he attacks perceived threats on sight. it doesn't come naturally to him, and he Never looks forward to it - even when he's used to it. he avoids conflict when he can & does his best to prevent it

#and even then he attacks out of fear and again! a desire to protect his friends from All harm!#he'd Hesitate to let someone else take the arm #or straight up Won't Let Go #but he'd never snap or lash out #especially not at his beloved neighbors....#he's very gentle with them. usually #sometimes he can get a little (unintentionally) harsh when the danger level is heightened #but even that is like a 'i need to keep them safe & undamaged no matter what'#he gets stressed and scared and as a result is less Careful #like how when julie wakes up wally fully tackles her to the ground to keep her from alerting nearby threats #rambles from the bog #wh lights out au #and also wally has his Routine #and during much of it he leaves the arm at 'hq' to keep it safe #its something for him to find comfort in when he's not Doing Things #so actually i think he'd be fine handing it over to... say...
