Steven was positive, one-hundred percent, that he was dreaming. There was no way that he was practically sitting in your lap near his bed while your fingers combed through his hair.

You were a fairly new neighbor, having been there for almost a year now. You and Steven had made fast friends, even with his random disappearances that sent you worrying over him.

He told you not to worry about it and then one evening you had accidentally met Marc. You greeted him with the biggest smile he had ever seen, and he knew instantly why Steven had a such a massive crush.

Even Marc was beginning to feel his heart squeeze in the first three minutes of greeting you.

“Will you just ask her out already?”

Marc’s voice boomed inside Steven’s head and he jumped. The movement was so fast that it made you retract your hands—almost sending Steven into a panic.

“Shit, Steven! I’m so sorry. Did I hurt you?” Your eyes were wide in panic and you internally cursed at yourself for being too aggressive.

His eyes widened and he back tracked. “No! Gods, no, I— well, I— Marc just startled me and—”

“Oh. Oh, okay.” You didn’t seem super convinced and Steven bit his lip.

You had asked out of nowhere to brush through his thick, raven hair—almost making Steven fall out of his chair.

The curiosity to feel his hair between your fingertips was too enticing—especially when he twirled little strands between his fingertips. You excused it as wanting to start cosmetology when you asked if you could feel his hair.

The little white lie won’t hurt anyone, right?

“Why don’t you ask her out, Marc? You like her too.” Steven thought. A content sigh leaves his lips as your hand brushes through his hair again.

“Because, you idiot, you fell in love with her first. You have to be the one to ask her, not me.”

He thinks hard for a moment. His eyes flutter close at the calming feeling of your hands tangled into his hair. He’s not sure he’ll ever be this calm when asking you out. It was now or never.

“Will you go—go out with me? To dinner?”

Your hands pause into his hair. Your heart rapidly thumps against your chest. Out of all the things Steven was going to say, that wasn’t one of them you thought you would ever get to hear.

However, he took your stunned silence as rejection. His heart sunk to his stomach. “Oh—just forget I said anything, love. I—I— just—” He shook his head. “Pretend nothing happened—”

He yelped instantly at the pull of his hair. You yanked his head back so he could look you in your sparkling eyes.

“I would love to go on a date with you, Steven. Tell Marc he can get his chance later.”

He smiled—truly bright and shining. Butterflies filled his chest and tummy, a giddy feeling he didn’t want to get rid of.

“He said he knows loud and clear, love.”

I found the first two chapters, the premium ending and the epilogue:

First of all… the beginning of both endings is very similar. And for a while I thought there was some kind of mistake. But they are not the same.

Kate said she didn't think they had told her everything. They mentioned that William used to pretend to be the Queen. If so, why did they need her this time? So, in her opinion, they knew that nothing bad would happen. And she didn't see Alfons, Albert, and Roger since yesterday. Victor was delighted with her logic.

They went into the dining room and saw Alfons and Roger, with a woman sitting between them. For obvious reason, Kate decided that it was Her Majesty herself.

But of course it was Elbert. Poor thing. He was assigned the most difficult job! Of the three, he is the only one with torn clothes… What exactly were these criminals trying to do to him?

So Victor and William spread rumors that there would be a double at the parade, but the real Queen would be elsewhere. While the three boys were catching criminals, Kate was just enjoying herself. Obviously, Victor his favorites.

The boys start demanding rewards (Alfons and Roger), and of course Victor and William agree.

So… the reward is…

William told Kate to wait with the others, but she refused

Victor decided on the menu, and they distributed the responsibilities

Moment of appreciation…

I cannot… I seriously don't get it, how he manages to look perfect all the time? This is cheating! You are… red-eyed! I know, I know it's not a bad thing, but I can't came up with anything at all!!

Kate watched William peel an apple… And you wouldn't be surprised… He does it splendidly.

While complimenting Kate

Vic forgot about his cooking, and something started to burn. William pointed this out…

Awwww!.. Such a cute family))) Mama Victor, Papa William, whoever she is Kate and a bunch of baby-boys))))

This is the first time I've heard that William can cook. He's perfect in everything, why am I even surprised at all?

At events there is always a feeling that William is very quiet. Perhaps next to Victor, anyone would look quiet… But it's still strange how different he feels on his route.

Yes, they didn't share any secrets, but their company is so cozy. They are indeed very good friends. Who can work, spend their free time, and even cook together…

So this is truly it, huh? Just like that, no more Doom Patrol?

I don't think I can completely explain how I feel about the show as a whole and how much it means to me, but this final episode just left me empty for both good and bad reasons.

WARNING!!! SPOILERS INCOMING!! DO NOT READ FURTHER IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE EPISODE YET!

The whole Immortus/Butts resolution felt like such a cop-out. Immortus just going "Nah, you know what, I'm fine. Here's your longevity. Oh, and I'm besties with the Butts now. Too-da-loo 🥰" after being presented as their biggest threat ever? Meh

It would have been more cathartic had they somehow defeated Immortus when she was occupied with the Butts and got the longevity thingy off her neck to then run home only to find Rita already dead with Laura frozen with shock/grief beside her. To have them think they managed one more victory but with their biggest loss yet. And for Rita and Laura, the moments before she died could have been used to have a proper conversation and resolution between them. I would have loved if the final scene between them (and with alive non-ghost Rita in general) would have been Laura bringing her the Immortus nail just for Rita to decline cause she's at peace with dying. Even a simple "You're forgiven" would have been enough. And what was the point of telling Laura she's part of the Doom Patrol now to go "Yeah, you should all go your own way now" five minutes after she kicked the bucket???

Vic's ending was expected. It was obvious from the start that he would make it. And I'm glad cause he deserves happiness and to build a future that HE feels is right for him finally.

I'm also delighted Jane (a.k.a just K now) got her happiness both within herself and with Casey. And she's the only one we saw on screen saying goodbye to at least one person properly. Her and Cliff's realtionship was one of my absolute favourite things about the show.

Seems I managed to guess Larry's ending almost exactly. It was so sweet and beautiful. He didn't just return to space with Keeg but Rama as well. Can't lie, I've shed some tears during that scene. And his moment with ghost Rita... 12/10 wouldn't change anything about it

Cliff's ending is my favourite and the one that got me bawling my eyes out. "It's ok. I made it home" Uhm, excuse me?????? How dare the writers break my heart like that???? I am unwell and will need 5-7 business days to recover from it. Poetic, beautiful, amazing, showstopping etc. I love Cliff so fucking much

Dorothy who? Guess she just fell off the Earth after Immortimas

Also, Shelley? Never heard of her. Try looking in the woods when it gets foggy maybe 🤷

I guessed Rita would definitely die too but her whole "Each of you will be better off on your own" turnaround just didn't sit right with me. She's the one that spent her life keeping this little, broken, miserable bunch of just the unluckies motherfuckers known to the world together and managed to create a family that loves and supports eachother to death and THIS is her conclusion?? That they should just disband? Nope, not buying it. I guess it's somehow a way of telling that now the one that held them together, the heart of the show if you will, is gone that it's all done but I feel like that's a an insult to the rest of them and to the strength of their bond. Yes, Rita's insistence brought them together at first, but they've grown and gotten close so much since then even without her interfering in their one-on-one relationships. It just doesn't feel right. I also knew we'd get a Malcolm reunion scene but am I the only one that doesn't really care about him? Tbh, we didn't get to know much about him beside the fact that he was Rita's lover that tragically died. I just can't care about a character I know nothing about. I guess have fun posthumously frolicking in a field, Rita and Malcolm 🤷

So Jane got Casey and her sanity, Larry got Keeg and Rama, Vic got his friends and students, Cliff got see his family, their future and die peacefully beside them, Rita got to reunite with the love of her life in eternity and Laura got to, uhm, *checks notes*, play with a flamethrower? Like, ok, I do dig that she got to destroy the place that ruined her whole life guns a-blazing but what exactly does she get to do later on? The ones who remained alive all got someone to share their new found joy with, a proper plan for the future, they're at peace. Laura didn't get to neither truly reconcile with Rita, nor the Sisterhood, and now the only people she felt close to either died or went their own way without a true goodbye. What, pray tell, does her future look like beside, once again, loneliness and grief???? I fucking hated her ending. Give us a Laura de Mille spin-off, you cowards. Make it right...

There's a lot of fandoms I don't leave – World of Darkness and Warhammer 40k predominantly as settings I always have another angle I want to see explored in!

I do however have the Magic the Gathering bug, even though I haven't really played in years and years now – but card interaction as a generation for narrative has always kind of captivated me? Like there's a couple big mean Ogre cards that make Rats more dangerous, but due to the way the systems work they also empower the Ratfolk of Kamigawa, the Nezumi, as they count as 'Rat' cards still. So big Ogre spellcasters improving Rat people as part of a contained bit of narrative kind of fascinates me as a concept.

Plus each deck presupposes a Planeswalker character who's casting those spells – and I was always intrigued by that notion and so most of my OCs are representative of decks I played (or wanted to :P) and then in turn each Planeswalker needs a Plane to come from, probably from a still existing culture on that Plane too, and so it can kind of wonderfully reverberate inspiration.

Like how every VTM Kindred OC presupposes a Sire!

A novel! Cyberpunk Vampires! If we're mutuals you can come ask about this but I'm not ready to share things too publicly for this one yet, but the outlining has gone beautifully in my opinion, and the worldbuilding is singing.

I'm making a TTRPG!! It's a Powered by the Apocalypse engine game, about serving as the primary field agents of a faction of people who need your support and protection. Because if you're going to be a hero, who are you doing it for if not your kin?

Setting agnostic as hell, excluding some implicit need for magic in the class moves – I'm prepping to playtest this in sci-fi and fantasy settings to see how well my mechanics hold up in both swords and firearms based stories. Plus I'm going to explore a variety of perspectives of what the faction can be – from ethnic groups, to gangs, to guilds, to neighbourhoods.

I'm VERY excited about all this!!

And the fact that Jericho asked for Sahotas first name???? Criminal what that does to me. AND THE LINE "whoever touched you was in the wrong"??? I WANTED TO BAWL MY EYES OUT HOLY SHIT

When Sahota breaks and then apologizes for it before dismissing Jericho ughhhhhhhhhhhh this man deserves the entire world honestly. But then he calls Jericho back and gives his name and I want to cry again fuck

In conclusion I am very satisfied that my assumption was correct and I hope this is a step in the right path for Sahota leave Vic and heal and a simple hiccup for Hunter that will not wedge him further away from the rest of the crew please 🥺

I feel like you've already described your appearance quite a lot but let's see if I've got the Vibe right and can return it right back to you like you did for me. Did you say you've got dark(ish) red hair? I know you're shorter than me, maybe about my youngest sister's height (which I realise tells you nothing but she's taller than my mum and so are you so idk). roundish or heart-shaped face. freckles? I think freckles. Not heaps, but some (more than me at least and I barely have freckles especially in winter I don't think they're really visible at all now). Across your nose (all super cute!) and skin I think a little lighter than mine, like a beige colour with a bit of pink undertones so it goes nicely with your hair (several colours of hair actually that you might try at different times, it works with different shades of brown as well). I think you're a little insecure about your skin but actually the main problem is you're surrounded by beachgoers who remind you a bit of the 'popular girls' at high school, skilled at makeup and with very complex nature-inspired skincare (healthy) and tanning (kinda dangerous in the qld sun) routines who say things like 'everyone can do it' and don't understand what it's like to be disabled (yet). you've also got short nails. hair down to your shoulderblades, a little wavy when natural or when it's humid. and you still wear tights in winter like a Victorian, only the comfy ones now (you also own a black puffer jacket you whipped out approx. 3 weeks ago), but you're incorporating more colours now you're in qld and realising it really suits you! and you're not sure about sandals. some days it's great, other days you want your feet to be safely tucked up in shoes and out of the weather and the grass and dust and sand.

Oh my goodness, this was such a fun journey to read. You are very good at capturing vibes. I'll go through in the order you mentioned to either confirm or slightly correct what you've put forward.

So, yes, currently I have dark red hair (looks ink-black in shadow, deep red in direct light, which is an effect I am obsessed with) because I recently re-dyed it burgundy. My natural hair colour is a very dark brown, which was mistaken for black a lot when I lived in Vic - I've noticed since coming here that my hair's lightened to a more noticeably brown hue (when not dyed, obviously) that's still dark but clearly not black anymore.

Knew I'd be shorter than you. Yeah, I'm a li'l one. And I'm so surprised you got my face right! Second guess, mine's heart-shaped. Not the most obvious heart, but it also literally just does not fit any other face shape, sooo... 'tis me <3

And yes! Freckles! I don't have as many as my mum, nor some of my redhead friends who seems to have more freckles than there are stars in the sky, but I actually do have a decent amount! (Admittedly, it runs in the British side of my family.) As in, while they may appear sparse and fairly spaced out, they're quite uncountable because of just how many there are. I literally lose track just trying to count them on one arm, let alone all over my body (because they're indeed all over my body, and my face). And I actually still get new freckles, even in winter (must be this Qld sun, honestly). I used to have some across my nose, and I still kinda do if you look closely, but I tend to have a pinkish nose and cheeks which hides the freckles (they are rather beige - they range from chocolate brown to beige/gold). My skin does have mostly pink undertones, so I appreciate the thought it goes well with my hair 🥰

You also got it right: I am a bit insecure about my skin. I get acne, which I never mind on anyone else but hate on myself, and it's really bad when I'm on my medication. It also induces a lot of the pinkness I get in my face from inflamed skin. The beachgoers definitely remind me of 'popular girls' in high school back in Vic. The women here are more often than not very tanned, looking flawless, and I know it's not great to compare myself to them, but I do. My skin's darkened since moving here, but I am still the resident 'Snow White' as well since my meds require me to stay out of the sun (more sensitive to burning while undergoing treatment). I'm also really pale for a Greek, which brings its own extra brand of shame, because all other Greeks I know (some immigrants like my grandparents, some not) have gorgeous olive skin (mine's still olive, but obviously very pale, and mixed with more of my British side's genes than the rest of my siblings).

Correct, I do also have short nails (musicians, eh? I wasn't wrong). Started the habit, never stopped, even now that my actual playing is infrequent. Only time they grow out is when I paint them and leave them for a couple weeks.

My hair is actually not quite down to my shoulder blades - I got it in a short sort of concave bob at my jaw (oop... twin moment between us here, is it??) last October, and it's grown out to sit juuust past my collarbones but not quite all the way past my shoulder blades. Maybe close to touching them. When wet? Possible halfway down them. Naturally, yes, my hair is wavy because of how thick and fluffy it is, and it definitely gets worse in humidity.

And, okay, I have tights for when I do boxing and karate, but otherwise it's just skinny jeans for winter, I swear. Although I still have a back-up pair as pyjama-wear. (...how do you know about the black puffer jackets?? Who leaked the Vic dress code? Although I'm actually partial to proper coats than the puffer jackets. I like pretty buttons.) But yes! I am dressing in more colours now, finding what suits me. It's pretty fun! I do go for my default black/white/gold colour scheme though fairly often because I like how striking it looks. Definitely not sure about sandals. I don't even really own a proper pair, just thongs (flip-flops for the Americans who don't know). Still not sure about sandals, but the folks here wear them in spades, I swear. It could be winter, and it could be rainy, but there're my girlies wearing sandals. How anyone feels comfortable walking around without socks is beyond me.

68. in what outfit do they feel sexiest? how do they dress to impress?

Victoria doesn’t step out the door without making sure she feels a little bit sexy in everything she wears, but damn there is just something about wearing lace lingerie and one of those luxury pink fur-trimmed dressing gowns that has her feeling really damn good. You know she’s really indulging when the heart-shaped sunglasses come out.

As for dressing to impress her partner, she learned quickly enough that Smasher prefers when she dresses down. And not in a going-out sense, more in the he prefers her in lingerie than anything else, even if that’s quick to come off.

47. share a headcanon about your character and their partner(s).

A big gesture of trust between them was actually initiated by Smasher; he lets her jack into him and while she didn’t have free reign in his head, it was still free enough to dip into his memories – some she imagines he’d much rather keep buried.

It was a way of him gesturing with his arms out like ‘here I am,’ and Victoria still thinks it’s one of the most romantic, genuine things anyone has ever offered her.

19. is your character from night city? if no, where were they born? what brought them to night city? if yes, what area of the city did they grow up?

She is not! While she was born there, her mother was pretty quick in taking her back to England where she grew up and lived until the age of twenty-three, so Victoria very much considers herself English. It was a transfer to the American branch of Arasaka that actually brings her to Night City.

11. do they have any cyberware? is it cosmetic or is it weaponry/armor?

Vic is pretty decked out in chrome yet most of it is cosmetic; the exceptions are her nails which she can sharpen into talons at a gesture and cut through most organic materials and thinner metals quite easily. She has the lynx paws implant which most people aren’t aware of due to her constantly clicking around in heels, as well as fireproof coating. (This is purely because I want to give her a ‘I’m fireproof, you’re not’ moment eventually.)

She also has implants one might expect of a netrunner including a self-ICE, Ex-Disk, and a RAM upgrade!

Admin Sophie isn’t who we think she is and I’m sorry to break it to you. I am from The Netherlands and my mother is really close with one of Sophie’s relatives (I can’t say who but is someone from her side of the family, not the Verstappens) so she knows a lot of the things that go on with the family. I’ve met Sophie myself and she’s a very polite and nice woman but first impressions are a lot and at the same time nothing at all. It is no secret that Max likes to give back to his parents the sacrifice they made for him but what that person said about Sophie using Max for money is true. He won’t see it because it’s his mom and he loves her but she does take more advantage of his money, something Jos doesn’t do as much since he still has a career in rally and is Thierry’s coach/manager. This is why Sophie is so ‘accepting’ of Kelly because she wants to be on Max’s good side. Everyone in the Verstappen family knows how Kelly is and what her intentions are so none of them like her the way they’re trying to convince us of. Victoria isn’t accepting of Kelly either but she plays the nice sister to avoid fighting with Max and we know Jos doesn’t like her at all and he’s not scared of saying it out loud. This is why him and Max have argued a lot this year but Sophie will say or do whatever she can to have Max happy so she has him on his side and gets the money and luxury. Again no hate to Sophie but no one here is as innocent as you think they are.

Little not for the admin: you’re also really popular here in The Netherlands so keep doing what you’re doing 🥰// only one in this family who dont abuse max is vic.

Kais Pierce the Veil concert report

What an awesome show I am completely exhausted the theater was beautiful and I could see everything from my seat the crowds energy was just incredible you could tell that every person on stage was up there preforming because they love it not because it's their job one of the openers Deathbyromy made a speech about trans rights that made me tear up and Pierce the Veil was just I don't have enough words the energy of the crowd and the prefomance was just 🥰😍 and during Emergency Contact Vic made a very sweet speech about like finding you Emergency Contact the person you love your best friend ect and he was like if your here with your Emergency Contact give them a hi5 so I gave myself a hi5 and then I spent the whole song holding back tears and them was immediately gut punched by Hold on till May right after and basically cried through the whole song and then immediate beat change after and we were rocking out and basically was like the next time they are in my area I am going to be in the pit and The Used was in the last spot and SO many people left after PVT I had security actually thank me for staying and while I don't know their music they put on a really fun show and I enjoy their music more but I did leave mid way through the last song to beat traffic and I was getting a little overwhelmed. Overall it was an awesome experience people were so friendly I got stopped a couple times by people complimenting my hair and tattoos and got a couple compliments on my shirt as well I bought so much more merch then expected and I am just so glad that I got tickets because I know that this was one of those shows that I would have regretted not going

most of my writing energy (there is very little!) has been directed towards my wireless project, but blue's breathtaking art reminded me that I want to write a Teddy/Draco follow-up to Surface Texture (Harry/Teddy, with background Draco/Harry), so here's the first few paragraphs. cw: for implied Harry/Teddy & not (yet) explicit Teddy/Draco 🥰

Gooseflesh. I know he's here in a second because I can feel his eyes on me as desperately as though he's run his fingers over my arm. I'm trying to listen to the woman next to me — she's got diamonds on two fingers and would certainly buy the lot — but all I want is to turn and drag him into the alley behind the gallery.

She says something about Muggle photography and I nod, gulping down the rush of heat at my throat. She gestures wildly to the painting between us — Vic in Evening Light — saying something about Mapplethorpe and I'm sure it's worth listening to, but all I can think is: Can she hear my heart racing?

There's breath at the back of my neck. Oh fuck. He's close. She hasn't reacted yet, tittering on, rings flashing, her voice too pitchy to make any sense of the words. Focus. I nod again, certain I look like a fool.

I feel it again, the barely there brush of someone behind me. The gallery's almost crowded enough to justify this closeness, but I know this is no stranger from the way my body has already begun to call to him. Touch me, my hips beg, desperate to lean into him, to let him steal me away from this patron and the noise of the crowd. I am hardly in control of my own limbs, let alone my mind, as it aches for this man.

It's only been a second, not long enough for my conversation partner to notice my distraction or the flush burning its way up my neck, but then it hits me. Whoever this is is taller than I am, by at least a few inches, and Harry-- Harry's my height. We stand eye-to-eye when I face him, when I ask Harry to give me everything I want.

This isn't Harry.

I turn.

Draco.

Anyway, jumping into your question, I'm gonna try my best to have 28 up by Sunday, but I'm not gonna force it.

Before I post a chapter, I always ask myself, "Is this as good as I can make it?" "Have I said all that I need to say?" If the answer is anything other than yes, then I usually go back and read old chapters and see if anything else pops into my head because I wanna make sure I capitalize on every opportunity and keep the whole story connected.

Like with the most recent preview, for example, I thought that section was all ready to go, but last night I was reading an old chapter and saw more opportunities for expansion, so... I added a few more lines before I went to bed. 😂

But it's gonna be a very strong chapter. I feel it in my gut.

And I promise you will learn more about Vic and Evelyn's past as the story progresses. They've definitely had a complicated friendship, to say the least. Some things have already been hinted at (and I'm assuming at least a few people have already figured it out), but everything will get dragged out of the closet eventually 😉

so me and my family are currently watching through ST together and we watched 4x07 and 4x08 tonight and we were watching the scene right after Steve goes through watergate and i kid you not, i literally spit out the bite of food i was eating when he started spitting that blood out of his mouth 😵‍💫 and everyone just kinda stared at me which like is normal because they know i'm insane about him but i don't think they understand just how insane i am about him

also that scene where Max is just straight up staring at him through the binoculars when he takes his shirt off is so me 🥰
