11-13 for the fanfic ask game please!!
Knight, nooooo, ha ha!! Can't believe you did me like this, smh...
11. OC Moodboard of choice (either you or author picks the OC; author makes)
This is absolutely what took me the longest (and somehow no time at all?), but I'm pretty happy with how it's turned out!! (I absolutely did not do the anatomy drawing and if anyone knows who did pls let me know!!)
Anyway, this is for my Star Wars OC, Kirsi (half-Torgrutan, half-Clone), during the Rebellion era. I have been more or less been working on a Rebels not-exactly-rewrite with her and her sister worked into a few episodes and then going off and doing their own thing. :D
12. Write another line in your WIP.
Okay, because I've been terrible about writing during my break, I wrote another paragraph, and here's the last line:
The haunting sound of Morgana’s aborted yell accompanies him into the darkness.
Again, so sorry to anyone waiting for the next story.
13. Drop a playlist for the story!
I have approximately a billion playlists for anything, but since I've been listening to this one on repeat, I will give a sampling of the playlist below the ~keep reading~ at the end.
Well, I think that just about covers it!! Thanks again, Knight!!
Kindly,
The Void
Here's a portion of my playlist for my fanfic (working title: [Insert Clever Song Reference])!
Yeah, it's a Baby Driver x Fast and Furious fic bc there were only, like, two. Criminally underrepresented. Some are songs that I might feature in the fic, some I think are good for certain relationships (even though it might not be where they are in the fic itself), and some are just jams that get me writing the fic, ha ha!

I am living for the fact that Neilman’s character building decisions for Good Omens 2 was “look. You can be straight or you can be cis but being both at once is just forced diversity sorry guys :/”

I just started reading the third book for Lockwood and Co and my favorite thing is the first case they are working on. Like there’s so much chaos...George manages to set Lockwood on fire and then Lucy chucks a water bottle at him to put it out and it hits him in the head and knocks him out the window. They’re more of a danger to him than the ghost at this point and it’s hilarious.

i know at the end of last ep I was so excited about the pc dynamics being shaken up, so what i'll say is that this has gone above and beyond. pc dynamics in a full BLENDER. chetney's ex is casting death ward on him. fcg is meeting another aeormaton and being roasted for his coin faith. imogen is having her laughter played back to her and being given reassurances about her goodness. everyone thinks fearne is hot. i said "shaken up" and am now witnessing half of bell's hells whizzing around in a food processor.
good.

I do think game changer and d20 are fantastic, deeply funny, extremely well crafted shows. but that said I truly believe in my heart that dropout's number one artistic contribution to society is the neverafter adventuring parties

new Wednesday headcanon unlocked: she's a total troll and probably has a secret cell phone & twitter account squirreled away somewhere.
How else would you explain that the same Wednesday who “refuses to be a slave to technology” and “doesn't have a phone” also knows, within hours of meeting, about the bad punctuation and grammar of Enid’s vlog, other than having watched it herself? Also, she says that Enid’s followers are “clearly imbeciles” who respond to Enid’s stories with “insipid little pictures” — which you would only find out about by stalking the comments.
And how else could Wednesday look at Enid and immediately have “the following emojis come to mind: rope, shovel, hole”? Wednesday has to know that these are options in the emoji-catalog, which even I wouldn't have been able to tell you off the top of my head.
TLDR: Wednesday's got us all fooled. Prove me wrong :D
Tumblr media
Bonus: “if you're going to gossip about me, at least spell my name correctly.” Are these professional gossiping-standards you want to uphold there, Wednesday? Hm?

Ik the internet has collectively decided liking Hamilton is cringe bc ppl were writing real person fic, making founding father self inserts, and because anything that gets a big enough following must be mercilessly shunned after 6-12 months but like, I got surprise tickets to a matinee today as a bday gift and it really IS that good?
Like. I'm not USamerican. I'm not sitting here like "oh yes this is absolutely historically accurate and this is how everything went down and how these ppl were irl". Its a story. A historical adaptation. But it's a Damn Good Story. It's thematically compelling. It's emotionally resonant. It's about hunger and imagining death and ambition, about that desperation that drives you towards elusive satisfaction, about legacy and memory and the construction and telling of narratives, it's about UNEARNED GRACE and impossible forgiveness.
Like it really IS a good story, and as someone who only know these people as /characters/ and not historical figures, they're compelling characters? Their arcs are interesting? Hamilton and Burr as foils is so good? Washington as a model of leadership and of regret? Of legacy earned and unearned? ELIZA??MY EVERYTHING?? She's not a "main" character but the narrative hinges on her, when Hamilton is stripped bare of his ambition he thinks of her. She controls and saves the narrative, ultimately. It comes down to Eliza as the centre of it all, best of wives and best of women truly.
The music is a bop, the choreography fun, the set design simple but effective. Like? I get things that have a massive teen fandom can be annoying, and taking it as Historical Fact would be stupid. But as a story???? It really is that good?
Also we had an understudy as Hamilton and he was v young with such a soft higher voice and it REALLY worked esp in act 1 with the whole young scrappy hungry thing. He was also shorter than Eliza which imo. Perfect. Tiny man among a cast of largely very tall men and a few very tall women.

I am having many many thoughts about Hands of the Emperor, but here is one before I go to sleep:
this sounds very silly, but i am eighty-odd pages into this book and almost nothing has happened, technically. The main characters are going on a vacation. It is a fairly significant part of this that the Emperor has never done so much nothing at once before. Travel arrangements have been made, social interactions had, various vacation activities enjoyed, but on a literal level there is no large plot moving forward.
AND YET. I am up late reading this already, and I want to stay up later. I want to keep reading. Because even if on the surface, not much is going on, the emotional depths that this book has already gone to are incredibly compelling.
The main character is watching the man he serves as emperor and reveres as a god, a man he cares for deeply, slowly remember that despite being an emperor and a god he is also a person, and find enormous joy in getting to be just that. The main character has been overcome with emotion multiple times by seeing his emperor smiling with great pleasure at things like a casual conversation, or watching the rain, or tuning a harp with his own hands. I am overcome with emotion too.
I don’t know if the pace will pick up at some point, but I genuinely think even if it doesn’t, I could read seven hundred pages of this, just on the strength of what it’s making me feel.
