what kind of music does demi like? what about baby?
demi actually really likes grunge, heavy rock, alternative rock, and some metal!! as a younger teen, she found solace in heavier music that dealt with frustration and pain but in a cathartic, "lets bash these drums and yell into the mic" kind of way. these genres helped power her through undergrad and vet school, pumping her up before exams and helping her unwind after tough days. she'll still play early metallica, sponge, and pearl jam in her office while she's doing paperwork or driving home. as for baby, she's much more of an instrumental girl!! she loves those lo-fi playlists, film scores, calm classical music. it's pretty and deep enough to swim in without being too overwhelming or distracting. she also loves songs from tv and movies, like the music from my little pony and the spongebob movie, they're so catchy and fun to hum while she's doing other stuff

Yes, see Swordman announces that certainly the other "hybrids" including Reze are alive, but his presence raises more questions than it answers. Even if I'd like to see the way this chapter is cut, i.e. in three parts, already an element of answer.
Tumblr media
The first part was a little confusing and contradictory, with the new bodyguard Fumiko, appointed by Yoshida to watch over and "protect Denji". But what really stands out for me is the line "you're the one and only Chainsaw Man!".
Tumblr media
It's an answer that's already important, as it fits into a context in which Denji is increasingly stripped of his own identity as CSM, whether because of this impostor who represents the church, the church itself, the fans or the detractors. I had already analyzed the fact that CSM had become a collective essence rather than an individual identity. So to tell Denji YOU are Chainsaw Man is to give him back the link he has with himself.
Tumblr media
But this line would be interesting in another context, and here we're getting into pure theory and personal speculation. To explain, let's break the chapter down into three parts. First, Denji and his relationship with Chainsaw Man, as we've just seen. Then, Asa, who is beginning to come to terms (positively) with her own popularity as the new heroine. And finally, Swordman, who appears at the end of the chapter and introduces himself as such.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
My theory came from a single question: why did you present the chapter in this way? Why the ellipsis with Asa? Then continue with Swordman? I mean, Fujimoto did decide to bring these three elements together in a single chapter, so they must necessarily have some as-yet ungraspable narrative link.
I've been thinking about it, and there's a lot of mystery surrounding the "hybrids". We don't even know what they're called, since their names have been erased by Pochita, according to Makima. Which means that they represent a very special concept that Fujimoto intends to exploit. A concept surely more complicated than a human fused with a demon.
Tumblr media
I've been thinking about this, and two main theories come to mind when I put together what little we know about them. Hybrids are immortal, or more precisely, they can be resurrected as long as they are given enough blood. There's something vampiric about that. Vampire in the sense that they're human-looking demons who need blood, literally. Another theory is more contextual, and that's the one I'm going to bring out today.
Tumblr media
Have you noticed that all hybrid demons represent weapons, machines. Never a fear of a broad concept like the demons of the apocalypse, or of an animal like Beam, or stemming from natural reflexes like the fear of blood and the fear of falling?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
My theory is that they are deeply artificial demons. This was more or less confirmed with Reze, who was a laboratory rat for the USSR, or Katanaman, who became what he is thanks to Akane Sawatari. What's more, hybrids are always more or less connected with the state, Reze with Russia, Quanxi with China, or Denji, whose public hunters are trying to get their hands on him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I can't speculate any further, but the only thing I'm sure of is that "hybrids" have something to do with the evolution of the world. And when I mean "evolution of the world", I mean technological evolution, particularly of weapons.
Which brings me to my theory about chapter 138. There was always something I found unexploited about Chainsaw Man. Exploiting the relationship between mankind and demons, but in a different era, in the past.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When we return to the chapter, Denji and Chainsaw Man represent the heroes of the present, who threaten to be eclipsed by a new heroine, Asa, associated with the demon of war. Yoru would represent the future, which is why for me she refers so much to nuclear weapons, which remain the most advanced and dangerous weapon at the moment (along with hydrogen bombs, but you get the idea). Swordman, on the other hand, may represent the past, a hero from the past. I mean, people in the past weren't afraid of chainsaws or bombs, they were afraid of swords and crossbows.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Imagine how old immortal beings could be, representing traditional, ancient weapons? I think it's Quanxi aka the first devil hunter, or Swordman.
With this context, what Swordman says resonates even more, doesn't it? Who knows better the feeling of being forgotten than a hero of the past like Swordman? Hybrids are doomed to feel this sense of obsolescence.
Tumblr media
Don't get me wrong, I don't think Swordman knows anything about this. He may have a few points from his past still fresh in his mind, but having been brainwashed by Makima, his memories are surely muddled. The fact remains that this link with the past and technological evolutions: hybrid demons are still those who have a direct relationship with the state and governments.
An important point, given that the Japanese government is the main antagonist in this story.

New Dragons Rising Trailer Is Out!
youtube
"Watering the plants can wait" Bruh, what about Crystofern?
So they are splitting up, that's confirmed. Duos I think we guessed already.
COLE!!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! YUS!!!!
(No other show do I just squeeze my cheeks really hard and squeal like this in hype)
Also does he have a Changling kid? And a Serpentine kid? Cole's a dad? That really fits.
It's implying that Nya's the one who finds him. Interesting cause I thought Nya was the one who encountered the skull cult. But I guess they do both.
Still if that's right, Tsunami Siblings, you guys win.
"You're expecting fun?!" "I always expect fun!" I love Kai & Wyldfyre already.
Poor Zane is alone! :( Ma boy, noooo. He doesn't have a kid to take care of.
Nya & Sora have a Clutch Powers book?
Is that a Munce & Geckle hybrid?! Yo, I LOVE that we're getting a variety of characters here. Inhuman characters that are NOT villains! Idk how problematic that is for people in the old show, but I think those guys will be happy.
Okay yeah I just saw it, Nya is the one who reunites with Cole 100%. They're in the background together.
Kai & Wyldfyre get a dragon core, so they're competent. I think people would love to see Kai be able to do stuff and not be a klutz/make things worse.
There's more than one skull dude. I'm a little iffy on the theory that the guy is Jay, especially if there's more than one. I have no idea.
"We're more than just our powers!" THANK YOU. OMG FINALLY. You don't know HOW LONG I wanted them to say that! Especially after the Wildbrain era where that got SO ANNOYING.
Cole does get that golem form confirmed, think we already knew that. Cole gets the most variety of abilities when it comes to his powers, I feel like.
Earth is the best element. I said it and I'm not taking that back.
"You've clearly never met a ninja, they won't shut up about not quitting." THAT'S A MOOD. 😂👏
I love Sora so much

I just happened upon your blog (right terminology?) and I’m learning a lot. One thing that startled me was your referring to Crowley and Aziraphale’s love (sex) life as a matter of course, something seemingly everyone but me knew about. I was blown away and really wanted it to be true. After all, they’ve had to do without so much—openness, safety, the expectation of future togetherness. It would too unfair if they had to do without physical consummation too. What’s the deal with this? How do we know it’s so? What’s the history? Please enlighten me. Have you written posts about this? I’d love to read them. Thanks
Hello! Thanks for the ask. Nice to meet you. I call it a blog because I'm old and don't know the cool terms but we can call it whatever lol. I have no idea re: how many people who view the show and are able to see that Crowley & Aziraphale are more than friends (because, believe it or not, that concept still shocks some lol) who think that they're already lovers. I do think I'm sort of in the minority, maybe, even if there are a bunch of people who think that they're already a thing. When scrolling through the Ineffable Husbands tag on here, I tend to see a lot more posts that suggest that they aren't lovers and that 2.06 was their first kiss. (Let's hope that it's not lol.)
I guess I would say that if you are thinking about whether or not they might be, consider that Good Omens shows you most of its story out of chronological order in order to give layered meaning to the stuff you've already seen so, just with that knowledge alone, it would be actually pretty surprising if 2.06 was the first time they'd kissed. In S2 itself, earlier on, there's some heavy suggestion that it's not. If you want to read about when I think that happened, go here and I'll link you one more post at the bottom of this response here:
While I like to read all points of view-- I read a lot of aro ace GO stuff as well, even if I don't necessarily see that in my own interpretations of things-- I have thought they were sleeping together since the first time I watched S1 a few years back and S2 just kinda reinforced that for me. I think that, technically-speaking, there's a path to either they still haven't gotten together or that they're long-time lovers. I say that but honestly... it's more like if they somehow do something that suggests that they're only getting together during/after S3, I think it could kinda work but I honestly don't actually think that's the story they're writing. I'm pretty firmly set on the idea that they've been sleeping together for, uh, a very long time at this point. Someone told me the other day via messages that they would burn my house down if I did not finish a sex meta that I promised people so I best maybe get on that and also potentially call the police lol. (I am both flattered and scared?). So, uh, I'll get that up soon... I wrote a couple of longer metas lately about different eras of their relationship that are replies to recent asks on my blog-- I'd probably recommend the one about what they call each other and coded love confessions in 1941, if you're looking to read about them as a couple that's already a couple (even if they would have an anxiety attack at the word 'couple', as Crowley does in 2.06 lol). Will link it below. I'm very flattered that you and others have asked to read more of what I think and I have gotten asked a lot for more sex-related content so, uh, watch this space, I guess? :)
Make yourself a tea first or plan to come back to it as I'm wordy lol:

How Cursed Energy Alters the Body
CW: Manga Spoilers
Tumblr media
Throughout Jujutsu Kaisen, we've seen multiple ways in which Cursed Energy affects the body. It can be used to reinforce the body, increase endurance, and can even be multiplied against itself in order to heal.
All of these are amazing feats, but I'm here to argue that the connection between Cursed Energy and the human body goes even deeper, allowing it to physically alter one's appearance.
Starting with the Heian Era, where Cursed Energy was at its highest, we can see a larger number of physical abnormalities amongst Sorcerers. Sukuna has two sets of everything, Kenjaku has teeth lodged into his brain, and on a smaller scale, Uro Takako can be seen with blackened Sclera.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
As the Eras passed, Cursed Energy began to dwindle. As such, physical abnormalities stemming from an overflow of Cursed Energy also became less common, though they didn't disappear altogether. Kashimo, who is from Edo, can be seen with peculiar lighting bolt marks around his eyes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
By the time of the modern era, these physical mutations have all but disappeared - that is, until Gojo is born. Gege confirmed in a QnA that, upon Gojo's birth, Cursed Energy steadily began to rise back to what it had been during the Heian Era. We can physically see this power manifest in his eyes.
Tumblr media
After the Star Plasma Incident, as Gojo's strength increases, Curses also begin to grow stronger as Cursed Energy begins to reach a peak.
We can see more evidence of Cursed Energy altering the Human body through cases like the Death Womb hybrids and the Reincarnated Sorcerers. As they awaken into their new host bodies, their Cursed Energy physically changes their vessels. Kenjaku also later mentions that Cursed Energy can be used to change one's body to their liking, as seen when he's teasing Tengen for choosing an appearance similar to Sukuna's original body.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We can even see small traces of this reflected in Yūji Itadori. When he consumes Sukuna's finger, he gains two markings under his eyes that can turn into extra eyes whenever Sukuna takes over. He can later be seen without these markings when Sukuna jumps ship to Megumi's body.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So why does this matter? Well, I believe that Curses and Humans are more closely linked than previously thought, existing on a spectrum of sorts with Curses on one end and Humans on the other end. See the (poorly made) chart below for a visual representation of my theory:
Tumblr media
This could also be why Mahito, representing our fear of Humanity, appears so Human. Even his blood is red like Humans, unlike the typical purple of Curses.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This theory also leads me to believe that the fear and distrust of Shaman stemmed from their more inhuman appearances. If these abnormalities really were more common back during Heian, then it's not a stretch to believe that folklore and rumors would be spread about monsters with mysterious powers. These tales would then be passed down, existing more strongly in the countryside and thus reinforcing a distrust of Shaman.

hi matteo! i realised recently that i hadn't quite unpacked a lot of early messaging I got about being trans as well as i thought i had. amongst other things, i'm mostly thinking about the gender essentialist rhetoric around transness pushed by transmedicalists — stuff I unfortunately saw a lot of online when i was younger. do you happen to know any radical trans liberation texts that tackle this or similar issues? i'm not that familiar with the queer theory canon unfortunately. i really enjoyed stone butch blues when i read it, and felt very seen by it, but I don't really know where to go from there. np if you can't think of anything!
Mmm of course! Unfortunately a lot of what I read are academic journals, articles, and books, but I love interacting with trans YouTubers who combat transmedicalism, like Ashton Daniel, CopshateMoe, Kat Blaque, Contrapoints, Brennan Beckwith, and Lily Alexandre. There are so many other trans youtubers (and non trans) who have tackled issues of transmedicalism, but I regularly watch those listed above for many years and trust them.
As for readings, I recommend Sex Wars by Lisa Duggan and Nan D Hunter as it goes through political movements during the 70s and 80s where anti-pornography and censorship were used to "protect children/the family", and much of the anti-pornography feminists from that era laid the foundation for TERFism (alongside budding TERFs who followed The Transsexual Empire like a bible). Other books like You Are Trans Enough have been recommended various times as combatting bio-essentialist views of gender. And of course, because all of these views are based on white supremacy, it's important to read about how gender/sex has been racialized. I recommend books like Queering the Color Line, Black on Both Sides, and Queer Indigenous Studies: Critical Interventions in Theory, Politics, and Literature. Others that I have on my reading list include Behind the Mask: Gender Hybridity in a Zapotec Community, but you can find many documentaries and videos about Muxes on YouTube.
In terms of positive queer/trans media, I recommend finding creators of zines, art, er0tica, and stories. Bio-essentialist and transmedical views of gender also broach into sexuality and sex, meaning many of these views also affect the way we interact with the er0tic.
Hope that helped :3 Queer theory is always expanding, and there is always something new and fun to look at!

Yuichiro, Mika, Mikaela and the homunculus Yu: Theory and Analysis involving the goals of Sika Madu/Shikama Doji
I just caught up with everything in ONS. Seems like there's some inconsistencies lmao, and I'm trying to understand everything since essentially the goal of all these characters revolved just around sins and resurrections.
Short discussions under cut.
Tumblr media
So Yu Hyakuya is technically Mikaela the son of Sika Madu, because he bears their soul. But Yu, the humonculus takes up essentially the role of vampire/demon (?) hybrid Mikaela Hyakuya which exists as a manifestation of darkness to protect Mikaela which is Yu Hyakuya.
By exchanging their souls, they became one.
Mika and Yu are always one. Have always been one.
Why doesn't Yu Hyakuya look like Mikaela?
- My theory is that Sika Madu didn't know that his child have always been in the body of Yuu, lol. They're essentially creating a vessel that looks like Mikaela because they thought Mikaela is dead this whole time.
What about the seven keys?
- Mikaela in "Yu's" body tasked the "eye Yu" to throw the keys far away to halt his resurrection. By this I think meant to prevent the resurrection of his body because it's just going to be an empty vessel.
Is Mikaela dead?
- They're alive, their soul atleast. My theory is that Mikaela's soul have always been shared by Yu and Mika regardless of era. They always find a way to be together since they're essentially just one soul shared by two bodies. But Mikaela's corpse is dead since it's empty.
Another funny thing is that Sika Madu or Shikama Doji, is essentially the 'Father' of all vampires, demons, and humans. So that makes the whole cast, from Guren and Urd to everyone his children.
But the only child he is obsessed with is Mikaela, the one who he calls "Yu".

(Penny 3.0 Theorist Anon)
HAHA you don't have to worry about sounding crazy and mad and insane because I'm totally in the same boat as you; immediately after TLW was released, I mulled over what happened, looked at everyone else's reactions, and immediately went "...Yeah they ain't done with her yet, time to construct the Penny 3.0 Theory :)" LMAOOO
To me it was just. Very obvious CRWBY has something up their sleeve. There were just too many coincidences, too many moments that made me go "Hm. That's Weird. That's Suspicious!"- the color of the Maiden Powers when Penny was transferring them, the fact that her Aura-made (right? I'm pretty sure they're Aura-made) Floating Array are still around, the fact she was smiling and rocking on the heels of her feet when meeting Winter, the "trust me"... I could go on and on, but for the sake of my own sanity, I won't (for now).
I trust CRWBY; In my honest opinion, they've improved on their writing these past couple of seasons, and for them to just heel-face turn and kill of Penny in V8, going against everything in her arc... I don't think they'd be that incompetent.
ANYWAYS, I think it'd be cool for Penny to come back as like. a human-android hybrid, and I definitely think Winter, Pietro, and maybe Jaune will be involved. Only time will tell, I suppose! :)
oh man, good for you to have actually mulled over the V8 finale when it came out honestly dksfjsd (I mean I was literally like grieving hard for someone after it came out lmao). Took me a while to warm up to the Penny revival theories (though I immediately latched as soon as I can pfft)
But yeah, the whole Penny thing just doesn't make sense if they were to end it there; I think the general reaction of the NND / Penny fandom really honed that in. Just from a general reading of Penny's character and how RWBY themes go, one could already have expectations on her arc's direction, but then it suddenly goes awry just when it's getting good? So that was really, really weird and that's what helped me accept that they might not really be done with her at all, and then we get all the clues from V9, inconclusive as they may seem.
I really wanna trust CRWBY's writing on this. V7 was, to me, a great start of a really good era, ngl. V7 brought back my love for RWBY (and that's why I was so excited with V8) and I loved V9 all in all, and here's to hoping this all permeates back to my favorite RWBY character ever lmao

The Truth About The Hybrid (Doctor Who)
In the episode Hell Bent the question of the Hybrid's true nature was never quite resolved, and it hasn't been touched on since. With The Moffat Era now long over, it's doubtful that we'll ever revisit this question, which leaves the whole storyline unfinished. That being said, there are enough clues present to figure it out, with a little help from Chris Chibnall and The Timeless Children. (Oh yes, I really am going there. I tend to give Chibnall more credit than most people.) The truth is staring us in the face.
The Master is The Hybrid.
Let's consider what we know. The Hybrid was a prophecy on Gallifrey that existed well before the Time War. It spoke of a hybrid creature, cross bred between two warrior races, who would stand in the ruins of Gallifrey and break a billion hearts, just to heal their own. That is the description that is offered in the ninth season. We know that the Timelords were obsessed with this idea, even after The Time War ended. Gallifrey had been saved, and The Hybrid was still out there somewhere, the catastrophe yet to come. First and foremost, I doubt the Timelords knew that The Master would be The Hybrid. It's more likely that they expected the Hybrid to emerge during the Time War. We know they restored The Master and gave them a whole new set of regenerations. They probably wanted to use The Master to fight the Hybrid.
As for what the Timelords were thinking, the most popular theory was that the creature was cross bred between Timelords and Daleks, and even Davros seemed to think that this was true. That he was fulfilling the prophecy by stealing The Doctor's regeneration energy during The Witch's Familiar. However, Hell Bent makes it specifically clear that any warrior race can technically qualify, including humans and even The Mire from The Girl Who Died.
Season 9 concludes with no real definitive answer about The Hybrid.
Davros suggests that it is a Dalek/Timelord crossbreed. The Doctor later dismisses this idea, suggesting that the Daleks would never allow this. Disregarding the fact that their creator himself posed this theory, a Dalek crossing its DNA with another creature has already happened in the series. Like, more than once. So that idea is nonsense. The Doctor goes on to say that he himself is the Hybrid. Which would tie in with The Eighth Doctor's claim that he's half-human, and Ashildr even proposes this as a theory. However, like Twelve said, it wouldn't make much sense for him to flee Gallifrey to escape himself. Really, whether or not The Doctor knows anything about The Hybrid, and what he knows, if anything, is exceedingly vague until the very end. Especially since he goes around dropping random references to the Hybrid during the season, like he's trying to figure out what it is. Hell Bent settles on the explanation that The Doctor and Clara together, form the Hybrid. Because they've become too dangerous to keep traveling together, pushing each other to such extremes. But there's kind of a big problem with that idea.
A Hybrid can't be two people.
That's not what a Hybrid is, or how it works. You would have to call it something different. Still, while The Doctor's knowledge on this subject is very unclear, I think we can point to one definitive moment as iron-cast proof that The Doctor knows the truth about the Hybrid, and that the truth frightens him. He says as much to The Veil in Heaven Sent. He says that he lied about the real reason why he left Gallifrey. That truthfully, it was because he feared the Hybrid. And this is the key detail - The Veil then freezes in place. It stops chasing him. Earlier in the episode, it was directly established that The Veil can be compelled to temporarily pause it's pursuit if The Doctor makes confessions. Tells secrets, truths, that he's never told before. Considering that he's inside his own Confession Dial, I don't doubt the the abilities of The Veil. It was never shown to be fooled in any other instance, so if The Doctor was lying about this...why wouldn't it know?
Meaning that whatever he said in Hell Bent about being the Hybrid himself, or that he actually has no idea who or what it is...The Doctor is lying. He does know. He must. He knows exactly who The Hybrid is, and for whatever reason, he's refusing to admit as much. He spends over four billion years in his own personal hell, all because he refuses to give up the secret of The Hybrid. Clara even asks him "Why would you do that to yourself?" and The Doctor doesn't really have an answer to give.
Let's fast forward to Season 12 for a moment. The Master has discovered the truth about The Timelords, The Doctor, and their history as The Timeless Child. This knowledge breaks The Master, it hurts them to their very core. If we assume that this incarnation is post-Missy, then this also means that The Master is in so much pain, that it set back all their growth during Season 10. What do they do to cope with it? Why, genocide of course. They slaughter everyone in The Capitol, and presumably on the rest of the planet. Hell, I wonder if they used The Moment. Not a part of this theory, just...an interesting question to think about. At the end of it all, The Master stood in the ruins of Gallifrey, responsible for it's demise. "Look upon my work, Doctor, and despair." And why did he do this? Because he was hurting, and he wanted revenge. "I had to make them pay for what I discovered." He broke a billion hearts just to heal his own. Now, this setup is almost perfect, but it's missing one key component. The Master isn't a hybrid, is he? No, he's a full blood Timelord, as far as we know.
Or at least he was, until he bonded with the Cyberium.
"All Cyber knowledge...all Timelord knowledge...put it together, and what do you get?" You get a Hybrid creature is what you get. The Cyberium is shown to be a living creature as well as a computer, and The Cybermen certainly qualify as a warrior race. The Master practically announces his status as the Hybrid by taking the remains of The Timelords and converting them into the "Cyber Masters" which are also arguably an entire race of hybrids. Now, I'm not the first person to propose this idea, that the Hybrid Prophecy referred to The Master during the events of The Timeless Children. But I'm going to take this one step further, and talk about The Doctor. About what was going through their mind during Hell Bent, and throughout the entire series. Because The Master is The Hybrid, but here's an even bigger mind-screw for you.
The Doctor knew all along.
They may not have known the details, or how exactly things would play out. But they have known ever since they ran away from Gallifrey that The Master would one day become the Hybrid. This is the only reason, the only truth I can see, that would explain everything. Not just why The Doctor fled, but also explain their inconsistency about this subject. They ran...because they saw their best friend's future. Saw him turned into a monster that would massacre The Timelords. Perhaps The Master was already taking their first steps down a path of darkness, and The Doctor's worst fears were confirmed by learning this secret.
Twelve recounts the story of a boy who got lost in the Cloisters, who was told a terrible secret by the Wraiths, and that he was never right in the head again, which led him to "steal the moon and the president's wife." We also know that this story was about The Doctor, and that it was in fact the president's daughter. Susan Foreman perhaps? Eh, it's a theory for another time. The scene then transitions into the discussion of the Confession Dial, and the secret that The Doctor guarded so closely that he spent billions of years punching through a diamond wall rather than give it up. Considering that, in the very next season, he vows to spend a thousand years guarding Missy in the vault and dedicates himself to the task of trying to redeem her? Yeah, I can believe that he would still be protecting his oldest friend after all this time.
The Doctor has a real blind spot when it comes to The Master, always trying to turn them back to the light, and refusing to let any other characters kill them even in situations where it's really not The Doctor's call to make (The Year That Never Was comes to mind) Noticeably, the one time that The Doctor "allows" someone else to kill The Master is Ko Shamus in The Timeless Children. Which occurs after the prophecy would have been fulfilled.
So there you have it. The Master is The Hybrid, they always have been. And The Doctor knew, they knew from the beginning. They just hoped against hope that they could get through to their old friend before this happened. And they very nearly did, too. Judging by The Doctor Falls, The Master came this close to turning over a new leaf. But The Timelords had to ruin that as well.

Do you think Twilight and Fallout could coexist (I mean, not entirely based on the difference in technology developement between both universes), in the sense of how would the Cullens (including Bella and Renesme) or the Volturi act in the Fallout wasteland?
Caveat, I've never played Fallout, I just know the general gist.
In the sense that there could be a nuclear war in the Twilight universe and that there would likely have been surviving vampires and the Volturi would have to deal with the aftermath.
In theory, the humans could make themselves vault/bunkers which are in fact secret experiments producing awful, mutated, monsters for the most part.
Assuming this is Fallout WWIII type era, that means this takes place long before Bella's born. Likely, she wouldn't come into existence due to the dramatic decrease in the population.
Even less likely that Edward would run into her.
But alright, let's do this, post apoctolyptic Twilight, here we go.
The Backdrop
I imagine the secret's right out. The human population is terrifyingly small, they can't even come to the surface for many many years, and the vampire race cannot afford these motherfuckers killing each other in science experiments or vampires forgetting that they're all on rations now.
I imagine the Volturi set up their own system of vaults, which are perfectly safe, and in return the humans donate blood to the Volturi coven. Anyone who would ever attempt murder/social unrest I imagine gets eaten as punishment. You ended up in the Volturi vaults and you're actually doing very well for yourself in that while you're anemic and protected by your crystal overlords, weirder terrible shit isn't going to happen to you.
Carlisle, I imagine, sets up a similar thing with his family wherever they happened to be when this looked like it was becoming a real thing. Depending on if livestock can be raised underground (unlikely), I imagine the family has to go off the diet and do a similar thing to the Volturi.
Their numbers... may be thinned... as those with less control will not be able to live in these conditions.
The vampires, of course, also have to hang out underground or risk getting crystal person cancer. I imagine there's a lot of vampires dying in slow agony as their cells mutate thanks to radiation.
I imagine most non-guarded vaults get eaten by vampires very early in.
Edward Meets Bella
This was never good but it's really not good here. Bella is one of the last human survivors where every life counts. She cannot be turned into a vampire (as a new vampire would not be able to handle this situation) and she also can't be eaten.
Edward, I imagine, already hating this miserable world they're living in hates it even more now as they met at the perfectly wrong time.
Edward talks about when the world was green and people lived above ground and Bella loves him for it.
Passion gets the better of them and...
Well...
Bella gives birth to Renesmee! The Cullens now have a very likely dead Bella (still can't afford to turn her), and her hybrid daughter that they thought they would never have.
They still live in a vault, Edward probably wanders out into the desert to kill himself with slow radiation poisoning, and the Cullens now have Renesmee who grows up inside a vault.
