meliodas x elizabeth : star crossed lovers. romeo and juliet type of shit that pains me bcs i just want then to be together already. i want to see more of them the more i watch it. idk i just love them both individually and together.

king x diane : my favourite trope, childhood friends to lovers !!! ugh they're so cute they make my teeth rot. i love how he's always there to protect her, knowing v well she can protect herself, but still feels the need to do so. in his eyes, she's something precious so that shit makes me so soft

merlin x escanor : definition of girboss and malewife. again i love its them protecting the ladies knowing they are v capable of doing so themselves. love them plus escanor seems like a sweetheart

howzer x diane : jock bf x hyper gf and also one of my favourite rarepairs from the show. i was really rooting for them mans i just love how soft he is for her and didn't even hesitate to protect her when he knew he was on the wrong side !!! like the dude gave her a fair fight despite her being a girl and i just like how he respects her overall

I just couldnt merge the two series so I made separate ones. To be fair, I haven’t really read 4koa so my opinion may be misguided but whatever (and I also haven’t watched 7ds in a while also, so…) PLEASE hear me out anyway😭🙏

I don’t have much to say about favorite character, I’m literally in love with Howzer and I’ve never loved a character as much as him. for Chion, he’s just an asshole and that’s enough for me. He has a lot of potential as a character and I’m really excited for him in the series, I would not be his friend IRL though because he would literally be the worst person to be around. And you know what, everyone can hate him but I will always appreciate him😚💖Gilthunder, Diane and Donny are runner ups for fav character!

To be honest, I don’t TOTALLY dislike Ban but…idk. I don’t like him very much, but not only for the very obvious Elaine related reasons. Something he did at the beginning of 7ds kinda stuck with me, when he tried to kill Meliodas to get Elaine back. I guess it’s supposed to be, like, heartbreaking that he wants his woman back so bad he’d kill his best friend???? Mid battle???? Like girl this is not about you rn😭 Idk if my friend tried to kill me to get her boyfriend back, I think I’d have to kill her idk that’s just me😭 and I’m really sorry to the Ban fans because I know he’s a good character and I get that he becomes a better friend later, that scene just stuck with me though

I feel like this might not be a super unpopular opinion but I didn’t really like Escanor at first. Ig I just didn’t really care about him. I like his night time self, he’s very sweet and dorky. The thing I like about SUPER confident and cocky characters is them getting taken down a notch, which he was, twice, so it’s fine. For Tristan, I’m so sorry but I really didn’t care for him at all😭 Before I read most of the scenes with him in it, I thought he was SOOOO bland and boring. Like, he was just nice, and loved, and that’s it. He seems like a character that thinks everything is his fault, which isnt a problem with him or his character, I just don’t really like characters like that. I like that he looks more like Elizabeth, I think that’s nice. Anyway I like him now and I think he’s more complex than I thought before!

I dislike Guinevere for the obvious reasons that everyone hates her for so I don’t have much to say😭I guess to cover the least favorite ship category, I don’t like her and Lancelot together and that one scene was super weird. I like her design tbh, she’s super cute, but yeah…

I honestly don’t dislike Veronica, I just like her design more than her herself😭She’s super caring and sweet, and loyal, just very abrasive sometimes. When she interacts with people and her family especially, you can tell that she really cares, even if she’s kinda mean. Anyway I love da bob and her dress, it’s very cute😌 on the flip side, I like Tioreh herself WAY more than her design. I honestly cannot pin down what I don’t like about her design, I just really really don’t like it😭 I’m sorryyyyyy

For the fav ships, I don’t have too much explaining to do (I’m gonna keep saying that and I’m lying every single time). For Gilthunder x Howzer, I just really love the friends to lovers trope. Although a One-sided! Howzer x Gilthunder is probably more realistic. Anyway I love their friendship as it is :) To be honest I never liked rivals to lovers until this Chion x Donny phase I have going on right now, I have no explanation for this I just think they’re cute.

Elizabeth is super sweet, and honestly I don’t mind her voice, she is such a caring friend. Jade is just like, the most normal character I think ever so I would be his friends irl, probably😭

I would NOT be friends with Gowther, I feel like he would expose me so often, and like, one of my biggest fears is that someone is reading my mind, so he’s literally my nightmare, and I don’t wanna know him😭

But also Cain saying that he is both too violently destructive and "too gentle a soul" is painstaking ahaha🥲 literally the best descriptor for him

I think the moment Meliodas finally kills Dale is a real turning point in the series. Before this, he had not killed a single opponent. He just fought to disarm and incapacitate. Just the next episode, he tells ban and gowther to "go straight for the kill" against the holy knights. As we see throughout the rest of the series, even before his emotions get caught in purgatory, he no longer feels hesitant to kill. He only becomes more and more like himself from the time of the Holy War (post 10 commandments). This is why I love his character sm, a corruption arc (even if he is never truly evil) is just so rare and one this good and angst filled is even rarer.

Gowther and Elizabeth being the only ones who are not alcoholics is so real

I'm on my rewatch of NNT and currently at S1 E11 and something I love is how even with little details, Nakaba seems to like having them build to something.

Ban stole the money Hawk made from selling ale an episode or two earlier.

We get to the final round between Meli and Diane, who think of half-assing their fight since either way they'll get Gideon.

Then Ban uses the money he stole to bribe some prostitutes to cheer for Meliodas and to likely act as if they're gonna sleep with him later. Ban says he does it to liven up the final round and he knew it would rile up Diane, which would mean Meliodas would have to put a bit more effort into his fight. I don't know if that was Ban doing it just to mess with Diane and Meliodas, or if he had a big brain moment and realized with the Holy Knights around that they'd need to keep up appearances. Even if it's small, it's a nice attention to detail that helps show that the Sins know each other not just as colleagues but as people.

Ban knew what to do to rile up Diane which would cause Meliodas to treat the fight more seriously, thus making the final round between two of the Sins more convincing to whatever Holy Knights are there.

Also love how Howzer's reaction to fighting Diane was a sort of happiness at being able to test his strength. He doesn't demean Diane, but shows her respect for her fighting prowess. Sure, she's the Serpent Sin of Envy but that just means he got to go toe-to-toe with one of the Sins and lived to tell the tale.

I think I shipped Howzer and Diane when I watched NNT for the first time, tho I also may have shipped her with King. To be honest tho, Ban x Elaine has always had a chokehold on me.

Your name is (f/n) (l/n), and you fell for a giant. Not just any giant, one of the Seven Deadly Sins, Diane the Serpent Sin of Envy...and you hated it. She was friendly with you of course, but you hadn't been able to pick up on any feelings towards you from her.

You were a citizen of Liones, and had lost your family during the war Hendrickson created, that the Sins stopped. It hurt still, since it was just a few days ago, but there was nothing you could do but try to move on. The city needed to be rebuilt, dozens of others were dead, and plenty other severely injured.

You gave a small sigh, pushing your (h/c) hair out of your face as you exited your house, shifting the basket on your hip that held lunch for the workers near by. They were working on rebuilding houses, and had finished yours just yesterday. You wanted to thank them..but as you approached, you heard a familiar voice, and noticed Diane was there, in her shrunken form, moving some bricks for them and doing heavy lifting for the group. They were all amazed, and you couldn't help the smile that spread across your face as she giggled and brushed off their compliments about her strength. She was humble when she wanted to be..and she wanted to be at the moment it seemed.

You came back to reality as her gaze turned towards you, and she let out a squeal and ran over to you, grabbing your hand, and doing a little twirl with you, causing laughter to bubble up from your chest

"Hi, Diane." You say through a smile. She giggled and took the basket from you as you nearly dropped it as she stopped twirling

"Hi, (y/n)!" She says, smiling as well, then looked to the basket

"What's this?" She asked with a tilt of her head, making your heart flutter. She's so cute!!

You hadn't noticed your cheeks had heated up as you stared at her, causing you to quickly shake your head to being you back to reality

"It's lunch for the workers, they fixed my house and are fixing houses for others, so I wanted to thank them." You say, causing Diane's smile to grow.

"You're so thoughtful (y/n)!" She says, grabbing your hand with her free hand and running over to the group of moslty men working on the houses.

Diane called to them, but for a moment, you heard nothing, your eyes focused on your joined hands as she pulled you towards the group. Her hands were rough, compared to your own hands. You were once again pulled back to reality as she looked to you, and you felt your heart pounding

"(Y/n) made food for everyone!" She says, which made the group cheer and stop work to come gather.

You didn't like all the eyes on you, and simply gave a smile and a wave as she passed out food for each individual. In the end, there was none left, and Diane let out a whine

"Aw man! I wanted to try some of your cooking (y/n)!" She whined as she puffed out her cheeks a bit, looking at the basket disappointed. You couldn't help but let a small laugh slip out, only to notice Diane's cheeks turning a little pink. Or..did you imagine that? You had to of imagined it, right?

Diane turned to you, a hopeful look on her face, her cheeks burning

"(Y/n)?" She asks shyly, kicking a rock gently as she clasped her hands behind her back, holding your basket behind her. You couldn't help but want to squeal. She's so cute oh my gosh!

"Yes Diane?" You replied, your voice giving a small crack, your own cheeks heating up slightly.

"..will you cook lunch for me?" She asks hopefully, looking up at you, her head lowered in embarrassment.

"Of course, Diane, why wouldn't I?" You ask, puzzled as to why she was acting this way.

Could it be...? No. It couldn't..she liked someone else. Plus, she had plenty of options, King and Howzer liked her alot, and you weren't even sure Diane was into girls. Even if she was, why you? You're just an ordinary human, sure you liked to help out, and tried your best to help everyone during the battle by treating wounds, but that's all you could do.

Diane seemed to get more red, her face now matching the color of her cute dress, which made your heart soar.

"I don't mean...I...I mean.." she struggled to find the words, then looked up at you

"Just you and I." She says, her gaze flickering back to the ground.

"..what are you trying to get at, Diane?" You ask softly, taking a step towards her hesitantly as she looked like she wanted to cry.

"L-like...a date" she almost whispered, but you heard it. Clear as day. 'like a date'. You wanted to scream.

"A date???" You repeated, your brain trying to process everything.

Soon, your face was burning as well, and you couldn't help but smile wide

"Of course Diane. I would love to." You say, trying to remain confident in your words to reassure the girl. Her eyes lit up, and she let out a happy noise and jumped in the air, hugging you and nearly knocking you to the ground in an almost bone crushing hug. She was strong, but she was aware of her strength, and was very careful with you.

You let out a small laugh and hugged her back, your faces both bright red. You eventually parted the hug, and headed to your house and made her lunch, spending the entire day together, taking her shopping in the rebuilt part of the city. It was a wonderful day, and at the end of the night as you went to walk into your house, she stopped you and kisses your cheek, before running off, giggling.

Don't get me wrong King and Diane are cute and all and I do ship them together but I much prefer Howzer and Diane!! They would've and could've been hella cute too, I adore them. Am I disappointed they didn't get together?? Of course. Fingers crossed though that Howzer finds a good girl or is bi and finds a good guy!!!!??!!!!
