This may be unpopular but Tristan aint no good leader ,he let one of members die due somthing less important, no wonder meliodas dosent really trust him or feel like the can up huge responsibilits on tristan. And never really say anything when isolde ,Jade or Chion do somthing wrong . You saw him lol
Pretty sure Chion and Jade don't really see him as friend ,mabye the relationship is forced.🤷♀️ idk..
This kind of a really harsh take tbh .
Tristan is only sixteen years old he obviously isn't meant to be " a good leader " . He's still a child you can't expect him to be as good as his father or howzer or zeldris or king.
And Jade dying isn't entirely Tristan's fault, sure if he had dealt with Io more rapidly maybe, MAYBE Jade would've survived but again Jade's death is obviously the guy who killed an innocent teenager's fault and not some other teen who wasn't sitting on his ass and was fighting his own battle as well .
And Meliodas trusts Tristan a whole bunch that isn't the issue . The issue is that Tristan doesn't trust himself ( not using his demon side and whatnot ) so he can never use his full potential and holds back . And sadly they are in a war so if Tristan refuses to go all out, Meli has to let someone who won't hold back carry out the mission ( that person being Percy )
And Jade already told us what he thought about Tristan, he cared for him as a friend and also admired him but simultaneously hated his guts so their friendship is a bit odd ?
Even tho Jade was jealous of Tristan being Isolde's hero, we've still seen him show some care towards Tristan during the chapters where he was alive so I do think Jade must've cared for him at least a bit .
And I am sure that Chion does care for Tristan à lot as a friend but he's kinda turned most of that care into an unhealthy obsession as a coping mechanism since Tristan was the one who saved him from abuse, so he turned his gratitude and admiration for him into deep obsession and possesivness ..But overall I do think he cares for him .
I actually like that Tristan isn't some hybrid Mary Sue perfect prince or whatever.
He has flaws and he makes mistakes even tho all of his friends think that he's perfection incarnate .
That makes him anxious and angry towards himself because everyone has all of these expectations towards him and he doesn't want to let him down .
In that aspect he's extremly relatable because everyone wants to make their close ones proud of them .
I think that Tristan is a wonderful character and in time he will overcome his insecurities and become an incredible leader .
But for know let him learn, let him fail, let him get back up on his feet and try again .

No problem but this makes me upset fr because why does everyone expect him to be some perfect, unstoppable leader just like Meli ?? Meli is over 3000 years old . Tris is only 16 and already has sm responsibility on his wee shoulders as well as all the other kids . Like them be kids :(

1. King

1. Escanor ( I can't even put into words how much I loved his introduction. First showing us à tiny timid man then showing said tiny timid man turn into a huge buff monster that just casually beats up Melascula and Galand, the same two beasts that gave both Ban ad Meliodas a hard time. " I stand at the pinnacle of all races-" I MISS HIM SO MUCH HE WAS SUCH A BADASS )
2. King ( his entrance was so sudden and so dramatic, randomly spawning behind ban and stabbing him with chastiefol, grinning maliciously at his supposed companion, we were all shook as fuck lets be fr . Chefs kiss you will always be iconic
3. Ban ( the guards whispering about how they tried to execute him like 30 times, showing Ban pierced by metal rods and bound and chained up . The ominous music being harmonised with Ban's morbid humming showing us how much he doesn't give a fuck...perfect intro )
I'm tying Meli and Ban cause I loved their intros the same amount but for different reasons . Van for the more ominous and daunting reveal and Meliodas for the more wholesome and exciting one .
3. Meliodas ( I absolutely loved his reveal, him effortlessly beating up Twigo, Elisabeth staring in shock, him telling her he's not a member of the sds but their " CAPTAIN " go off my short king then him telling her to join him on his adventure, with the uplifting music and her smiling widely and nodding and following him on mama hawk.... oh fuck I am getting so nostalgic rn, back when it was hawk meli and eli, my roman empire frr .
5. Merlin ( incredibleeeee, I love it when she taught that rat vivian a lesson and when she pulled of her cloak it was giving " its britany bitch" sorry sorry sorrry . Plus with the hand I the waist, the flowy hair, the smug smile, she knew she was serving .
6. Gowther ( goes from random green haired background character to pink haired hottie, like no wonder hes the sin of lust-
Kidding .
But fr we all thought he was the armored giant so most of us were hella confused when he actually turned out to be the guy we saw in the beginning of the arc it was one hell of a twist and Nakaba is actually really good at doing this sort of thing with character reveals . )
7. Diane ( first time we saw my girl she was chilling asleep, in a forests that she " conquered " lmao . Those little creatures thanking Meliodas for taking her away will never not make me chuckle )

Hmmm wel in this chapter our golden boy sixtus got stabbed by Worreldane, the white Knight.
Diane told the other kids told phao, belte and the twins to go check on him in case he needed backup so we'll probably see the 4 of them in action against Worreldane . But if Sixtus is the strongest of them all and is next in line to be FK idk if they're going to be able to defeat him..
We'll just have to wait and see ig and I am extatic btw 🤣😭
