Tumblr’s Core Prodct Stratgy
Here at Tumblr, we’ve been working hard on trying to keep our sinking ship afloat for as long as possible. This means desperately trying to copy every new fly-by-night social media app that some multi-billionaire sh*t out during their daily Peloton routine. What follows is the strategy we're using to accomplish the goal of user growth. If you find the things we say here worrisome, please understand that is our exact intention. You've outgrown our target demographic. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
The Diagnosis
It's lookin' pretty bad y'all!
After somehow losing hundreds of thousands of users during the great pr0n purge of 2018, we started to wonder if anything could be done to get back to where we were. We even brought in a management consultant who charged us a ridiculous amount of money. It would make you sick if you knew how much, but we got a few nice meals out of it at least. Anyhow, we handed this guy the app, and HE HAD NO IDEA HOW TO USE IT! It was f*cking hilarious! But suddenly it all clicked -- our users are a bunch of stupid idiots who can't even do basic arithmetic. I mean, they spend all day looking at their phones, so what do you expect?
Tumblr’s best feature is its unique content and vibrant communities. But who cares, right? We're just as happy getting traffic from people sh*t-posting memes, vague-booking, giving out-of-context hot takes to news events, and spewing whatever random thought is in their head at the moment. Plus that stuff doesn't p*ss off Apple.
To keep this thing going we need new people. And by "people" we mean teenagers, like we used to have back in the good ol' days. Unfortunately we're all in our 40s now, so we have no idea what they want. But teenagers are so cool! Imagine if they talked to us like we're one of them? We're getting hard just thinking about it.
Our Guidng Principls
To make Tumblr cool again, we must address these huge glaring issues.
People can look at a blog without logging in. How is that fair to all the poor schlubs who had to fill out forms to get an account? Also we haven't figured out a way to force ads onto the personalized pages yet. But we swear that's not the main reason.
People can see content they are looking for or linked to. People can keep up with blogs they follow. But the problem with this is, people don't know what they want. We know what they want! We're smart. We wrote this damn site, remember?
Promote posts that incite pointless conversations. Posts that are guaranteed to bait every troll into responding. Isn't that why all your Magat relatives love Facebook so much? We can do that!
P*ss off your content creators in every way possible (see #2).
Create algorithms that throw an unending barrage of irrelevant content in your face. Have you seen Instagram lately? We could do that so easy!!!
The app is slow. The website is slow. Obviously this is because of GIFs. Facebook and Instagram don't allow them, so why should we?
Conclusion
Our mission changes on a day-to-day basis. Right now we're super jealous of all the attention that new Threads thing is getting. We're still not sure what it is, but we're gonna download it after work.

ok yeah lots of memes about how the shitty new UI is literally a direct carbon copy of twitter and we hate it because of that, yea yea
here’s some actual/extra reasons why the UI itself is shitty beyond the fact that it’s stolen from twitter (in just my personal opinion)
it’s claustrophobic as hell. the old UI felt breathable, felt like you could scroll and actually look at your posts, and now there’s enough shit going on on one page that it actually gives me a headache. (i’ve heard other people say this as well, so maybe it’s not just me that’s overstimulated by all the fucking noise on the dash?)
the ‘dash sorting’ (for you / your tags / what you missed) is way too high up the page now and appears crowded against the top where things like the bookmarks bar are on most browsers. not that anything in this new UI isn’t crowded.
i’ve seen it mentioned plenty already, but there’s quite a lot of unnecessary duplication-- as in, the same buttons that exist in the new left navigation panel show up on the right in blog view, which is just completely annoying and unneeded clutter.
the fact that post interaction options are all on the right side of the posts, but dashboard navigation is now all pushed to the far left of display, is extremely annoying. i’m right-handed, so it’s extra annoying for me to have to constantly go all the way over there. maybe that’s easier for left-handed people, but if the case was supporting diversity, why not just put an option in dashboard preferences to switch the side of ALL the controls? because the post interactions are still on the right.
while we’re on the subject-- tumblr’s original design was actually MUCH more intuitive and easy to navigate. the reason for this is that everything you needed to click was in one small area. you scroll up and down the dash, move slightly up to navigate (home/asks/notifications) and slightly down to the side to interact with a post (reblog/reply). extremely simple, easy to use, even ‘lazy + addicting’, which is what all social media studio exes are supposed to want right now. changing the ui to actually be more work and more frustrating to navigate seems completely opposed to what their obvious business strategy should be.
tumblr’s original design was also much more breathable, with the small icons in the corner looking organized and not taking up much space, and lots of room for the posts themselves to be the main attraction.
there’s the fact that copying someone else’s brand entirely actually just puts you in a bigger, wider pool with much more competition, and makes you much more likely to immediately fall short of that and go bankrupt.
tumblr's original purpose was to be geared toward blogs, and these updates, along with the writing on the wall about blog themes being completely phased out soon, is completely against the original purpose. although sometimes website purposes change for the better, so take that as you will.
and finally the obvious point that you can tell from all the memes: this change is almost universally hated by the core tumblr userbase-- aka the site’s loyal consumers for years and years. driving out their main demographic seems like a very obvious, very quick way to lose a lot of fucking money. they also did this “carbon copy of twitter” update literally just a week after sitewide protest about the idea of this site being anything like twitter, so it feels like a massive Fuck You to literally all of the users. tumblr is rapidly approaching their trust thermocline, and show no sign of slowing down.
these are just my opinions about the ui, and i’m only one person. so feel free to add on other design flaws you think people should be aware of or able to mention! i will probably also be submitting this post as feedback to staff, and will be taking their surveys when i can as well.

People are commenting on how Harry’s whole persona and style feel extremely performative. Since his vogue cover he has not worn a dress either, so it seems very much like an act he put on to make more money, while never actually being interested in fashion like that. Also he’s never actually served any looks or dated a man so that could also be why ppl think he’s straight lol.
So I’m giving you the benefit of the doubt anon because english is not my first language but for me it sounds like you’re one of those people you’re talking about… Anyhow
Yes I saw the accusations about him queerbaiting. And to be honest with you I really really hate it. Not only because of Harry but also because of the massage that sends to all those baby queers who now think they have to act, dress or look a certain way to call themselves queer. Again:
The word queerbaiting came from fictional characters who often were invented from straight people who used to tease the queerness of said character as a marketing strategy to attract a wider audience for their show or movie even though in the end nothing queer ever happened to not make the homophobic part of the audience mad.
I don’t know how often it has to be said until it reaches every single brain out there but here we go again
A real person can’t queerbait.
Clothes don’t have a gender and don’t have a sexuality, there is no right way to look queer or straight. And there is no right or wrong way to dress queer.
Apart from that it’s totally normal to dress differently while being on stage then when you’re travelling/ at home/ in your comfort clothes. That fact has nothing to do with Harry’s interests in fashion. For real do you expect him to go on a train ride in one of his stage outfits? Not very comfy and not really clever if he doesn’t want to attract a bunch of fans.
Also, how do you know he never wore a dress since?
Everyone is so fast to judge as soon as it’s a celebrity often forgetting that they are humans too just like me and you. And humans have layers. Thousands of them. There is no way to know someone’s sexuality based on a different hairstyle and a few pictures.
And about your last point. Well you wrote an anonymous massage to a larry blog. So I think my opinion about if he ever dated men or not is pretty clear.

This is not a question, but a reflection. With this BF story, I thought a lot. And I think that as French, I don't have the same point of view. I was especially shocked by these words: “he must be educated”. France has a deep colonial past. and I thought: "we must educate these ignorant Chinese? but who are we to think that we are better and superior? we who today have so much hatred for them?" Each country has its point of view depending on his history. no need to respond if you don't want to. And thank you for your always respectful and thoughtful publications.
This is in reference to a previous post.
Bonjour lyndariell, j'espère que tu vas bien. ☺️
This is a perfect example of what I was saying about this being a very complex issue with a lot of different perspectives and angles.
In order to make sense of and come to terms with this issue we each need to find the right balance between upholding our own values and respecting the values of others. That's bound to be a tricky process because we're each coming from a different region, with different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives on the world.
Each of us will have a different degree of empathy and alignment toward one or more of the various stakeholders in the situation as well, based on our own experiences, interests and values.
In other words, it's complicated.
It is true that for some people, hearing so many white Westerners say that a Chinese man half a world away 'needs to be educated' on any topic might legitimately feel distasteful and wrong. There is this Western conceit that our values and way of life are superior and obviously correct, and that other nations are just 'behind us' in heading toward the same goals*.
*Although the same is also true going East to West.
It would be totally understandable if some people were to reject the Westerners' characterization of this issue and say that the choices that led to blackface being used in this film are not our choices to make. After all, the filmmakers are telling a Chinese story to a Chinese audience, and they know best how to go about that.
Fair enough. But...
Speaking of colonialism
While we're on the topic of colonialism shouldn't we also be talking about China and its role as a neocolonial power in Africa? As I said in my previous post, it's not really fair for us to look at things solely from our own perspective and in the context of the cultural environment we are in rather than considering the cultural environment this film was made in.
Have you heard of the Belt and Road Initiative? Actually you don't need to answer that question, because almost every turtle has definitely heard of it. GG sang a beautiful song in celebration of that initiative not that long ago, complete with a video highlighting some of the major projects involved.
I didn't post that video on my blog, but you can watch it here. All the bridges, trains and other infrastructure you can see in the video are projects from the Belt and Road Initiative; China investing across Asia, Africa and other regions to improve transport and trade (and to build on China's power globally).
I'm no @potteresque-ire, so I'm not going to break it all down in a meticulous, intelligent, well-cited masterpiece, but you can learn a bit more about it here. There are also countless online articles, papers, analyses, critiques, accolades, etc. from every possible angle out there if you want to dig deeper.
Some of the core strategy of the initiative involves proposing massive infrastructure projects in poor regions, loaning them the money to make the projects happen (loans in the billions), and stipulating that the contracts must be completed by Chinese companies. Resulting in countries with shiny new railways and hospitals built and paid for by the Chinese government and Chinese corporations, with these countries massively in debt to China for many decades to come and with deep trade ties to China.
Depending on who you ask, Belt and Road is either an exploitative, environmentally disastrous neocolonialist power/resource grab, or it's an innovative unifying effort to improve the lives and trade of its member nations.
I personally feel its a bit of both.
Whichever it is, it does have a very dark side. There have been many stories coming out of these regions, telling about slave-like working conditions and horrific abuse from the Chinese contractors toward their African workers. I made the mistake of researching this and let me just say that what I've seen cannot be unseen. There is a reason people make snide jokes about the "belt" in Belt and Road.
And that's just the Belt and Road Initiative. There are a lot of other Chinese individuals and companies going into regions across Africa to take advantage of the people and resources for their own monetary gain. I posted about one such example the other day.
So in considering imperialistic attitudes it's only fair to reflect on what it might mean for a Chinese person to wear an African ethnicity like a costume, in a country that is frequently racist toward Africans and which is thought by many to be exploiting African nations with a form of neocolonialist debt slavery.
Particularly when said costume leads to a massive increase in the amount of racist posts on Chinese social media, and with a tone of raucous mockery and disdain.
We should consider the impact of this film on Chinese attitudes toward Africa and Africans. Based on what I've seen on Weibo, in various articles and on international social media it seems like there is a strong colonialist 'white savior' narrative coming out of this film; glorifying China as swooping in and saving these helpless Africans.
Taken alongside the horrible racism of Chinese audience reactions to the blackface, I don't think looking at it through 'the other lens' gives us a prettier picture.
If the primary category of people who are not offended by this tends to be audiences who are reacting with racist mockery, then a deeper reflection needs to happen.
All that aside, DD isn't working in a vacuum. He has been actively cultivating an international audience and working closely with international brands. He doesn't have the luxury of ignoring Western values if he wants to continue down that path.
And let's not forget that the culture he's so enamoured of is black American culture. If he loves Western hip hop culture so much it would behoove him to better understand and support the people at the root of that culture. The people who literally made it possible for him to find and enjoy that culture.
DD is a good person at heart. I feel that participation in cultural harm is beneath his dignity, and not something he'd consciously choose to do if he had a better understanding of the impacts.
When it comes to culture clash and differences in values it's also important to remember that while everyone is free to make their own choices about what they say and do, so too is everyone else free to make their own choices about how to respond to what that person says and does.
DD is a massive star, so his behavior and choices go far beyond his own cultural environment. It's inevitable that some people are going to have different takes on it all.
And I don't feel like people are telling DD what to do, so much as they're talking about what he needs to do in order to maintain their support. They're drawing out the boundaries of what they deem acceptable as fans. From there everyone has their own choices to make, including DD.
My own position
Here's the thing: I've come under loud, vehement fire from black fans for not taking a strong enough stand on this issue, while some other fans feel I'm being too hard on DD. Now you're saying I should consider the colonialist angle and reflect on whether it's even appropriate for me to think DD has anything to learn.
I can only ever be myself, and speak and act from my own values. I will always think for myself and take my own positions, no matter how unpopular they are and no matter how harshly people attack me for it (and they have).
I am capable of holding multiple conflicting perspectives in my heart and feeling compassion for them all.
I empathize with black people who ***for fuck's sake!!*** have been so thoroughly fucked over on every level and in every possible way by people around them who just don't get it about racism. Who just don't get how deep and broad and far-reaching it is and about how soul-destroying it is to live in a world where this shit is normalized.
I can't even begin to imagine how hard it must be to be a black fan who loves DD and then see him in blackface, and then watch all the fans try to gloss over it as though it doesn't matter.
I empathize with Chinese fans who are in most cases probably not at all ill-intended, whose reactions came honestly even if they were jarring to Western fans, and who have mostly found this story and its telling both exciting and moving.
I empathize with diaspora fans who are having to deal with a whole bunch of sanctimonious lectures about who DD should be and what he should think, say and do.
I empathize with the filmmakers, who after all were probably just trying to give an accurate retelling of something that actually happened in real life.
I empathize with DD, who was likely doing what was requested of him and probably didn't realize that it would turn out to be so controversial or negatively impact so many people.
Anyone who can say with a straight face that they think DD would ever intentionally or knowingly do something that would be this controversial or that would be hurtful to so many of his fans can KMA. That's not the kind of person DD is at all.
Blackface is a huge deal here in the West, and even people in this region are constantly getting it wrong. How can we expect people in regions where it's not traditionally been a big deal to do better than people here who are steeped in awareness*?
*And before anyone says that cultural relativism is such that only people in the West really think blackface is wrong, why not try talking to some of the African fans who've been deeply upset by this?
This is what it is to live in the world. Life is complex, and people are messy. Like I said before; nothing is black and white. Everything is a million shades and hues. As much as people will try to oversimplify the issue and try to intimidate us into taking 'their side', or try to punish and attack us for not doing so, we can only ever live by our own conscience.
No matter how much pressure I come under to condemn one of the individuals or groups I listed above, I will refuse to do so. My conscience tells me to be compassionate and understanding to all of them, and that everyone is always doing their best.
I hope and believe that our differing opinions can coexist. We can disagree and still be friends, as long as we remain open to accepting one another, and as long as we respect each other's right to our own conscience and values.
Merci pour cet échange d'idées intéressant. 💛.

JSYK the OP of the Crab Day post is a self-identified conservative Christian. Can't speak to anything she may have done or said, but I do know that Crab Day wouldn't actually fix Tumblr - the site is running a 30mil *deficit,* which is different from debt. All Crab Day would do would be telling staff that their current policies get users to send them more money, which doesn't actually change anything. Corporations change only when their business strategy is losing the shareholders money.
Gotta be honest, my friend, I'm... not sure what you're trying to do here? Warn me that the original post was made by a Problematic Person (tm) and therefore that must mean it's all wrong, or.... what?
We know that Tumblr badly needs money, because they have told us that and openly admitted that the unpopular new changes were spurred by a need for increasing revenue. I logged on just now on desktop and got a suggestion that I could purchase an ad-free browsing subscription to help support the hellsite (which is the word they used, because they have very much embraced the joke). I have in fact already bought an ad-free subscription, both because I like the product Tumblr provides and want to keep using it in its current form, and because it makes my mobile experience immeasurably nicer. I am well aware that especially in this era of social media sites dropping like flies, the continued existence of a platform that is 30-million-dollars underwater (however you want to split hairs about exactly how) is not a guarantee. And we all complain about Tumblr, but we have all been here a long time (me, uh, over 10 years), we have a solid community, there's no other alternative that's really ever come up or gotten the same kind of uptake, and if it went under, we would be uh, screwed.
Tumblr is kind of a mess, it's the antithesis of every social media site, and it doesn't (for now) have the crap that makes The Artist Formerly Known As Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram so utterly unusable, or if it does, you can (mostly) turn it off. That's why we all like it and why, even if we are resolutely anti-capitalist gremlins who resist being marketed to with every fiber of our being, it doesn't change the fact that servers, staff, and all the rest cost real human-people money which the site, by their own frank admission, is struggling to raise. Even if staff does often make crappy updates, they generally at least TRY to listen to us and include a feature to make it optional or roll it back, unlike certain unnamed idiot billionaires. Their mockery of other social media sites can sometimes be a little much, but for now, Tumblr is pretty much the last place on the internet that does what it does, and I like it that way. If it went under and took my blog of 10+ years and all my friends with it, I would be incredibly sad.
That being the case, and basic financial realities being what they are, encouraging people to toss a few bucks at a TOTALLY OPTIONAL and fun gimmick that increases functionality for a product we like is actually not a bad thing. TumblrMart has crabs, checkmarks, Ea-Nasir merchandise (seriously), ad-free browsing, etc., and if our choice is voluntarily supporting the site through fun (and again, OPTIONAL) purchases versus having us all be involuntarily subject to some horrible data-scraping mechanism or forced off altogether because they couldn't keep the lights on, that is fine with me. Nobody is making anybody do or buy anything. But if you like the product Tumblr provides and want a fun material way to show your appreciation, then I don't think it's some Great Transgression to participate in that.

How To Get Started Investing In The Stock Market
Educate yourself: Before investing in the stock market, it's important to educate yourself about the basics of investing, including the different types of investments, the risks involved, and how to build a diversified portfolio. There are many resources available, including books, online courses, and investment blogs.
Determine your investment goals: It's important to have clear investment goals before investing in the stock market. Are you investing for retirement, a down payment on a house, or to generate passive income? Your investment goals will help determine the types of investments that are appropriate for you.
Open a brokerage account: To invest in the stock market, you'll need to open a brokerage account with a reputable brokerage firm. Some popular options include Fidelity, TD Ameritrade, and Charles Schwab. When choosing a brokerage firm, consider factors such as fees, investment options, and customer service.
Build a diversified portfolio: Diversification is key to successful investing. By investing in a mix of stocks, bonds, and other assets, you can reduce your risk and increase your chances of long-term success. Consider investing in a mix of large-cap and small-cap stocks, domestic and international investments, and bonds with varying maturities.
Start investing: Once you have a brokerage account and have determined your investment strategy, it's time to start investing. Consider starting with a small amount of money and gradually increasing your investments over time.
WAYS TO INVEST
There are several ways to invest in the stock market, including:
Individual Stocks: This involves buying shares of individual companies on the stock market. You can buy shares through a broker or an online trading platform.
Mutual Funds: Mutual funds pool money from multiple investors and invest in a diversified portfolio of stocks. This allows you to invest in a variety of companies with a single investment.
Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs): ETFs are similar to mutual funds, but they trade like individual stocks on an exchange. This allows you to buy and sell ETFs throughout the trading day.
Index Funds: Index funds track the performance of a specific index, such as the S&P 500. This provides exposure to a broad range of companies and can be a good option for long-term investors.
TOOLS TO START INVESTING
Online Trading Platforms: Many brokers offer online trading platforms that allow you to buy and sell stocks and funds. These platforms typically provide research tools and stock charts to help you make informed investment decisions.
Robo-Advisors: Robo-advisors are digital platforms that use algorithms to create and manage investment portfolios for you. They can be a good option for beginner investors who want a hands-off approach.
Investment Apps: There are several investment apps available that allow you to buy and sell stocks and funds from your mobile device. These apps are often designed for beginner investors and offer low fees and user-friendly interfaces.
PLATFORMS
A few popular options:
Robinhood: Robinhood is a commission-free trading app that offers stocks, ETFs, and cryptocurrency trading. It’s designed for beginner investors and offers a user-friendly interface.
Acorns: Acorns is an investment app that automatically invests your spare change. It rounds up your purchases to the nearest dollar and invests the difference in a diversified portfolio of ETFs.
TD Ameritrade: TD Ameritrade is a popular trading platform that offers stocks, ETFs, mutual funds, options, futures, and forex trading. It offers a variety of trading tools and research resources.
ETRADE: ETRADE is a popular online broker that offers stocks, ETFs, mutual funds, options, and futures trading. It offers a variety of trading tools and resources, including a mobile app.
Fidelity: Fidelity is a full-service broker that offers stocks, ETFs, mutual funds, options, and futures trading. It offers a variety of investment tools and research resources, including a mobile app.
INVESTMENT STRATEGIES
Value Investing: Value investing involves buying stocks that are undervalued by the market and holding them for the long term. This approach requires patience and a thorough analysis of a company’s financial statements and growth potential.
Growth Investing: Growth investing involves buying stocks in companies that are expected to grow faster than the market average. This approach often involves investing in companies that are at the cutting edge of technology or have innovative business models.
Dividend Investing: Dividend investing involves buying stocks in companies that pay a dividend. This can provide a steady stream of income for investors and can be a good option for those looking for more conservative investments.
Passive Investing: Passive investing involves investing in a diversified portfolio of low-cost index funds or ETFs. This approach is designed to match the performance of the overall market and requires minimal effort on the part of the investor.
Real Estate Investing: Real estate investing involves buying and holding real estate assets for the purpose of generating income or appreciation. This can include investing in rental properties, real estate investment trusts (REITs), or crowdfunding platforms.
Options trading: is a type of trading strategy that involves buying and selling options contracts, which are financial instruments that give the holder the right, but not the obligation, to buy or sell an underlying asset, such as stocks, at a specific price within a certain time frame. Options trading can be used to generate income, hedge against risk, or speculate on market movements.
Swing trading is a type of trading strategy that aims to capture short- to medium-term gains in a financial asset, such as stocks, currencies, or commodities. Swing traders typically hold their positions for a few days to several weeks, taking advantage of price swings or "swings" in the market. Swing traders use technical analysis to identify trends and patterns in the market, and they often employ a combination of charting tools and indicators to help them make trading decisions. They look for stocks or other assets that have a clear trend, either up or down, and then try to enter and exit positions at opportune times to capture profits.
TECHNICAL ANALYSIS TOOLS
There are many technical analysis resources available for traders to use in their analysis of financial markets. Here are some popular options:
TradingView: TradingView is a web-based charting and technical analysis platform that provides users with real-time data, customizable charts, and a variety of technical indicators and drawing tools.

**Fukuzawa and Mori with a S/O who is a bibliophile**
Tumblr media
Fukuzawa
-He may look like someone who doesn't read since his job as a president of ADA is too busy. But, he is a hardcore reader who loves to sit quietly ,read a book and enjoy the story for a long time.
-Their first encounter is at a local book festival.
-He saw her while she was trying to grab a book on a shelf. He helped her take the book and they became friends after they roamed the festival with hands full of books.
-Their Relationship had grown rapidly since they shared the same hobby.
-Due to his overloaded job, he couldn't read as much as his S/O who was opening a small bookshop.
-His S/O loves to share about the books she read with Fukuzawa. She talked to him about the plots, the characters and it made Fukuzawa's heart melt.
-Well, he may not know what books she is talking about or what characters she admire but he can tell she really enjoys it and that's all that matters.
-Although Fukuzawa wished to buy every book his S/O named, he wouldn't let her spend a lot of money on limited Editions which were cloth-bound or had beautiful covers.
-Both Fukuzawa and his S/O are harsh critics so they will blame some of the cheap plots or overrated books harshly 🤣
-I think his favorite genre is Nonfiction while His S/O least favorite genre is Non-fiction.
-At weekends or holidays, Fukuzawa sat comfortably and quietly on the couch or tatami mat and his S/O lay on his lap while they both read their favorite book.
-They might not exchange words but from the warmth from skinship and books, they would l feel peace and tranquility.
-If only Fukuzawa had a holiday, he would go to his S/O bookshop and help her with the shop. He would even invite ADA members or his old friends to her shop and introduce her to them.
Tumblr media
Mori
Mori actually doesn't read much and his favorite genres are nonfiction about game theory or psychology.
He used reading as a form of relaxing his burnout brain to absorb more knowledge and to make more strategies.
Their first encounter was in a cafe where his s/o was reading a book peacefully until He and Elise made a fuss in the cafe.Although S/O was really annoyed by loud noises , she would gladly help him to calm down Elise.
Their relationship didn't grow rapidly due to their different mindset for books and reading.
But, eventually they both fell in love. (Hey, Mori has a lot of ways to make a person fall in love with him although he didn't read romance novels)
Despite his low interest in fiction or literature, he gladly watched his S/O reading the books he had bought happily.
He would even ask his s/o to tell about the books she was reading and even encourage her to describe their thoughts and opinions on those books.
I have a feeling that his S/O will make a book blog where she will upload book reviews and opinions after Mori’s encouragement.
His S/O didn't own a shop but he would spoil her to buy every book she wanted whether it's limited edition sets or cloth bound or fore-edge painting. He just didn't care about money . All he cares about is his S/O smile and happiness.
Elise loved her so much because she told a lot of stories and read children’s books for her.
Mori would make a lot of drama about how his S/O didn't pay attention to him and only read books. Elise will scold and ask him not to annoy her reading time.
At the times when he is free from his work,Mori would lean or cuddle his S/O who was reading while one hand of her is playing with Mori’s hair or scarf.
Mori didn't like books as much as his S/O did, but he will gladly give all his time, money and energy for her enthusiasm in books.

Women don’t care anymore… A lengthy blog
Women have been suffering a lot since the beginning all because of these shitty men which caused them to end up in depressed state, having PTSDs, feeling suicidal and literally becoming the victims of femicide.
But there had never been a podcast or a youtube channel created by these so called alpha males discussing that issue and warning women of the consequences they would have to face if they end up marrying a toxic man. Instead, all these men would make memes and laugh at women being oppressed for centuries.
Now suddenly when women are choosing to be single and childfree, there are numerous podcasts with illiterate empty-heads sitting behind mics they probably bought with the money they stole from their mom’s purse, desperately trying to convince us how we’re gonna end up miserable and lonely with cats if we don’t settle.
Not just that! They’re also paying a shit load of money to these hypocrite girls with no dignity and self-respect for making benevolently sexist content like how being an independent woman is toxic, capitalist and a life full of struggle to scare this new generation of girls away from being self-reliant.
Every time women stepped one foot ahead. Men came up with new cunning strategies to push them ten feet behind. They always try so hard to keep the patriarchy safe and unimpaired. However, this time none of their tactics are working.
Women are no more believing their crap. Not just because we’re tired of constantly being manipulated by these satanic creatures but also because we are highly educated now and we understand men and their nature unlike the majority of women who came before us. Even the young trad-wife influencers they’re using to spread their propaganda are self-dependent lol.
We are not dumb. We know that if living as a celibate would make us depressed, men would be making lame jokes about it on reddit and twitter and jerking off on the thought of a woman with no husband, children and sexual relations. Just think about it! Since when did men care so much about us that they’re hopping on podcast channels every hour of every day crying because of OUR depression????
It’s not because we’re gonna be lonely and miserable with cats. It’s because they’re ending up in that situation. They’re ending up taking their own lives. Their energies are so negative that even cats are running away from them. That’s how bad it’s getting for them. And they’re scared. Men, by nature, cannot survive without women. They had constantly been feeding their egos by being evil misogynists.
When you feed your ego, you starve your soul. A soulless creature is, spiritually, vibrating on such a low frequency that they start dwelling in disgustingly negative energy which makes them mentally sick and emotionally unstable. This is why these men need women as we tend to have higher levels of spiritual maturity which makes our energy positive. Men crave that energy.
When you interact with somebody with negative energy; verbally, sexually or even just through social media, you exchange energies with them. Their negative energy comes to you and your positive energy gets taken away by them. That’s what men want from women. It’s not just because they want domestic slaves that they need us so bad. They need us to feed their souls so they could feel alive and fulfilled.
But the thing is, we don’t need men. Because unlike them we didn’t waste our energies being complete egoistic retards. We have been taking care of our souls, consciously and subconsciously. We are women. We can live without men. Even if they all would disappear from this world all of a sudden, we would live — we would be living much better lives.
And most of us know that! This is why we don’t give a flying fuck about male loneliness epidemic. It’s the karma hitting them back for being evil creatures all their lives. Marriage rates and birth rates are falling rapidly and divorce rates are rising. And with that male depression rate is increasing as well.
But we don’t have to care! We girlies are happy being single, independent, enjoying our own company and having no burden of dusty men-kids on our shoulder. It makes us more successful and fulfilled. And no way in hell we would ever waste our energy on healing these cartoons. They can stay miserable.
And girls, don’t think that men will surrender after this. They’re men. They’re gonna go above and beyond to save the patriarchy and to save themselves. Just yesterday they started this red pill content. Today they have started this lame ass men’s rights’ movement blaming women for their misery. Tomorrow they could be protesting on streets, barking at women for not healing their wounded energies. Day after tomorrow, someone would start another religion saying he received a revelation in his dream from the lord that single women will burn in hell.
But let them whine and complain as much as they want. Just do not ever take them seriously. Ignore and do your own thing. Nothing had ever been seem to weaken the patriarchy like how female separatism seems to do. Men are crying for their so called rights now and we are literally not giving a damn about it.
Oh look how the tables have turned!

Is there a special way to stop peeing in the bed for ID people?
so , was not sure want give this answer , because deal with enough frustrate and bait questions recently that sort of on alert . if not bait question here , then sorry for misunderstand .
but either way , figure maybe incontinence is topic others would want hear about , but scare ask .
unfortunately , not know how can stop from happen - not train to understand all symptoms and all ways fix , just some guy with blog . do know some different reasons , at least - some people just never develop that control , and not possible learn in future . others have at least some control , but lose with specific triggers . sometimes also , someone just not aware about what things body need , and so on accident hold until literally can not anymore .
but incontinence in night especially not something that know how give advice for , because person not conscious to take control , and typical strategy like alarms in night to get up and use bathroom might just distress . no guarantee either that person can learn from therapy to strengthen in day , and hope body carry that skill to night .
so , sometimes rather than , " how fix this ? " need ask , " how make life more comfortable with this ? " some thoughts .
do not shame and get angry with person . when not have control over something , nothing can just magically give control - even if can learn control , shame will not motivate better . shame will make whole process more stressful , and associate even good results with stress , which slow down everything . this true for really anything .
make sure products comfortable and good quality . know money can make this harder than should be , but if nothing else , do best avoid products that make more uncomfortable and especially less safe . rashes and infections no joke . listen to product reviews , listen to how person feel .
as well as not shame , should also remind that love and care about . people say incontinence and incontinence products gross , but this something that many people deal with and probably will deal with during life , day and night alike . incontinence products there to help be safe and sanitary , so that can live more life without so much worry . destroy that " gross " feeling with love .
and this something for everyone else without incontinence : stop stop stop assume that adult in diaper means " put kink in face " . do some people wear diapers out public for kink reasons ? sure . but when judge everyone that way , as some " gross pervert " , not treat fairly . should not need hear someone say , " that person disabled " to give basic respect - should just give .
sorry not exactly able answer what first ask , but hope maybe some what say able help someone anyway .

I will eventually get to the "revolutionary theory/strategy and comparative history" stuff that is the actual aim and function of this blog, but 1) I'm not there yet in the narrative and 2) there's a couple interesting things I wanted to flag:
The ascending bourgeois landlords of 18th-century France were a lot stricter with their new tenants than their aristocratic counterparts were behaving at the time, which had an exasperating and frustrating effect on the peasantry. (This is consistent with a variety of things that Foucault raises in Discipline and Punish, where certain exceptions and privileges around hunting or lumber that were previously granted to the peasantry were swept away with more codified or systematic laws.) Not to toot my Marx-quoting horn again too quickly, but "it is far too easy to be liberal at the expense of the Middle Ages." There's trade-offs going on in these political and economic dynamics. Intuitively, to us, it makes quite a bit of sense to sort out your system of law and money to guarantee social stability via consistent, predictable outcomes, rather than the mess of carveouts and exceptions and privileges for every single social class, province, and municipality that emerged within different feudalisms. But in the process we do find genuine attacks on or erosions of people's well-being; the un-tethering of feudal obligations has costs for the lower classes as well as the ruling ones. Which doesn't by any stretch mean "let's go back" but does require a reckoning with what those trade-offs are.
Montesquieu's intellectual influence on some of the revolutionaries is pretty interesting. Rousseau is obviously a major influence on the overall spirit and tenor of (parts of) the revolution, but I'd argue that a lot of his thought resonates more with the sans-culottes than the urban bourgeoisie or independent farmers; Rousseau's condemnation of hierarchy and poverty and the corrupting qualities of institutions remains a touchstone in the intellectual legacy of radical thought despite his romantic, idiosyncratically liberal bent. Montesquieu being an aristocratic and soft-conservative thinker, on the other hand, makes his influence pretty interesting; he's not an anti-monarchist or even really a republican. His political thought feels similar to Plato or Aristotle in its categorical structure, and he approached politics from a "scientific" angle. So it sort of seems like his support for separation of powers and constitutions &c. was aimed at curbing monarchical overreach against the aristocracy, and I can see how that would resonate with either "liberal" nobles or an ascendant urban elite who were trying to buy their way into that aristocracy. (This also meshes with my personal working political theory of liberalism as a kind of qualified, legalist aristocracy.)

Choices: Successful or Not? It Depends
I'm a data geek so this isn't the first time I've talked about PB and Choices financial success. Here's the post based on Nexon's Q1 financial reporting. Q2 numbers are out on August 9.
Choices is losing revenue year on year, and hasn't been able to beat that trend. The outlook is that revenue will continue to go down. Revenue isn't profit though (profit is revenue less expenses). If Choices can create books at a low cost, the more profit they make. They can do this by reusing artwork (for example).
According to some industry analyses I found the app is successful based on key mobile app metrics. There are several, but here are a few:
Monthly downloads
Active users (monthly and daily)
Daily sessions per daily active users
Monetization: Subscriptions (like VIP) and In-app purchases (diamonds, keys, sales, etc.)
Average session length (how long someone spends on the app at one time)
Retention rate (users that keep coming back)
Churn rate (industry stat is that 70-90% of users delete an app within 3 days of download) -- Choices doesn't appear to have that problem
Choices is one of the most downloaded and top-grossing narrative games. In that category, Choices is successful from a revenue perspective.
If you're interested, here are two blog posts to help you understand the areas in which Choices is successful:
Choices monetization strategy
The non-discounted, cheapest diamond pack ($1.99) is the game’s bestseller. Also, the smallest key pack is among the top three. This tells us that Choices players’ tendency is not to spend a lot of money on single packs.  Players buy diamonds because they crave getting the best possible outcomes. On the other hand, the main motivation to purchase keys is to play longer sessions. Players definitely don’t lack the motivation to spend money on this game. At the same time, it doesn’t make non-payers feel powerless.
Choices advertising narrative
The second article in particular is interesting because their ad strategy is very successful (despite how ridiculous I find them personally). Also, the app is clearly marketed toward women and they're the ones spending money. So, Choices isn't changing its strategy anytime soon.
According to Bidalgo, a company that did ad testing and research for Choices, Pixelberry’s goal is to reach high-value users. In other words, the goal was not to acquire just any users but those that are most likely to make an in-app purchase.

So, About Crab Day
I'm sure alongside the Crab Day posts, plenty of my followers and mutuals and their followers and mututals have also seen the responses about the movement being crafted by Christian TERFs.
I've been trying to get a gauge of that myself on the multiple blogs of the many people bring this up - Here we have screencaps of two prominent CrabDay Trads.
A lot of the blazed posts have been by TradChristians, including the two mentioned in the screencaps. Often OP's of posts involving Crab Day, that I have personally gone to see the blogs of, have indeed been some form of transphobe - either TERF of self-proclaimed anti-feminist that reblogs from TERFs - many mention being pro-life and anti-porn directly, and every single one has been Christian.
Crab Day, on the surface, seemed to be a fun little fundraising idea for all of us to make a new holiday out of. We love those, we treasure our Tumblr Holidays here. It makes sense that Crab day has gotten more traction that protests or blackout proposals have.
However, it is not a secret that Christians abundantly blaze posts proselytizing on our beloved Gay Communist Website - it's very common in general for Christians to pay to spread propaganda (Skywriters at Disney, per example) and the abundance of conservatives pushing for this is important and concerning.
We are a community with a staff who does very little in response to genuine threats - bots, facists, TERFs, white supremacists, the list will go on. As such, we run the risk of this creating a welcome sign for other conservatives to make this place a stomping ground and for Christians to move to for digital missionary work, utilizing the prominent Tumblr Blaze feature, one of the few things that has been making this site money.
This does not need to be some psyop or strategy to usher those things in potentially. Staff will favor income over userbase every time. We know this. It's not a slippery slope - it is business at work, as we speak, in front of our eyes.
As a lapsed Catholic, I know for a fact that devoted Christians always find the money and resources to devote to Christianity. Devoted bigots always find the money and resources to devote to bigotry. And devoted, bigoted Christians gladly devote that money and those resources to things that target the marginalized communities they want to see gone.
I won't tell you whether or not to buy crabs. I will tell you that maybe it's association with Catholics and ism-ism-isms may be sticking and turning it into an association we may soon find to be unsavory. And that this may lend to future problems for this websites queer community. Money is power and the people currently using it here do not want us here and they are bigoted at best and hostile at worst.
Here's a link to a post that describes what I'm trying to say, I encourage you to like and reblog that one as well, and I will end on it's endnote - "...[We] need an option that makes it clear we don't support many of tumblr policies and how they treat tumblr users, while also giving tumblr a chance to win enough money to keep our beloved hellsite running. It can't be one or the other.[...] We need to give them so money, a fact, but we need to give it to them in a way it ends up in our benefit, that encourages good changes on this site, more disability functions, less transphobia, less homophobia, etc. That's the thing, okay?"

What else could have Indra done apart from running away after losing to Ashura? Not only was his life in danger by staying nearby, but also his ego.
He decided it would be wise to stay away for a while, rebuild his strategy, perhaps even add people to his cause, and then return to the attack. His home would remain where he left it, ruled unjustly by his younger brother.
Setting out on the road was the easy part, gathering just enough belongings and commanding an unknown route. The hard part was convincing himself this was the right thing to do. He fought fiercely with his own impulses to refrain from returning to battle after being defeated, having to think with a cool head and not through his anger or resentment.
Walking freely without feeling watched or pursued was the most rewarding part, once away from the lands he had once considered his own. He had to move cautiously and carefully in the immediacy of his former place, knowing Ashura was probably looking for him, wanting to negotiate some sort of peace between the two of them.
That would not happen.
This new sense of security brought with it the possibility of enjoying things he had lost track of. Walking in the winter sun, eating a bowl of hot soup sitting in the warmth of a local food stall, feeling the rain fall against his face.
Unwittingly, in all the years leading up to the culmination of the conflict with his brother, he had built up a tough, impenetrable image of himself. He stopped feeling like a normal person, no longer rejoicing in the simple pleasures of life, but forging an iron shell around himself.
Training, study, practice. The only three things he lived by for too long. Losing that confrontation and having to flee, he admitted to himself ruefully, somehow allowed him to behave like a regular individual again, and not as an untouchable being.
Finding his journey to be longer and longer, he was experiencing different places and things, interacting only enough so as not to be recognized. He had no idea how far-reaching his family conflict might have been, but he preferred not to find out.
He walked countless routes and places, saw things he never thought possible, and began to understand perhaps there was something beyond all his pain and suffering, beyond his anger. The hatred became smaller inside him, and that malicious dark voice constantly whispering terrible things in his ear, disappeared.
Eventually, the money he had initially taken from home became scarce. He could no longer afford to use it indiscriminately and found himself in the position of needing to work to keep a hot plate of food before him.
Thus, he began to gain experience in simple things which allowed him access to basic necessities. Plowing an old man's field in exchange for a hot shower, helping to shear sheep for some good noodles, and drawing water from a well for a woman in return for a fresh change of clothes.
He took a taste for a life of toil, seeing how his hard work got him things, and entirely forgot about the cradle of power and royalty into which he had been born.
In this fashion, he arrived at an opulent palace, just as holes were emerging in his pants as a result of his hard work. He would surveyed the area before even considering venturing to knock on the door, squatting in the undergrowth of the garden, shouldering a sack with the belongings he still kept.
Right in the middle of his analysis, totally absorbed by ideas that crossed his mind about what services he could offer to the residents of the place, a feminine voice spoke happily behind him.
"It's a nice place, isn't it? Don't even think about trying to rob it, it's heavily guarded."
Surprised at how the girl managed to outwit his personal high guard, he took a moment to look at her and decide if she was a threat.
"I'm not contemplating theft, ma'am. I intend to trade services for personal goods."
"Pretty good vocabulary you've got there! You don't seem to be a simple country bumpkin. Where are you from, where are you going and what are you looking for?"
"Those might be lots of questions, ma'am."
"Perhaps they are. Come, let's go."
The young woman guided him into the palace, where he discovered she was the princess of the land. Her father agreed to provide duties for him, offering a long-term contract and a stay at the manor. He would work, eat and live on the premises, where he was provided with his own hut and privacy.
As time went on, he learned the girl's name was (Y/N), and she had a wonderful personality. Unlike many of the royalty he had met in his past, hell, including himself! (Y/N) broke all the rules.
She was rarely seen following diplomatic protocol, slipping away and preferring to interact more with the employees than with her own family. The two began to spend time together, only because she would show up to keep him company while he went about his daily chores.
She would bring him refreshing drinks on sunny days, and make him hot tea on chilly nights. She managed to convince her father to spare him from working on rainy days, to which Indra flatly refused. Unable to accept the special treatment, it was (Y/N) who cured his cold when he became terribly ill.
Even so, throughout his entire experience, Indra refused to lose his physical abilities, always finding time to keep up with exercise in spite of his work. If he couldn’t train, it felt like losing himself in a different life, and he had no way of coping without having physical relief. He needed to feel soreness in his muscles, pain after long afternoons of moving around. Still, (Y/N) became a great companion in his leisure time, watching him practice his moves and techniques, even asking him to teach her some of them.
The legend of his cursed eyes, though he learned over time and from people who like to spread rumors, became a popular story. The monster with long brown hair and red eyes who tried to mercilessly murder his poor younger brother. The poor younger brother who refused to believe his older brother was evil, and continues to search for him to this day.
It became a bedtime tale mothers would use to put their children to sleep, recounting the words "If you don't go to sleep early, the red-eyed beast will come for you!” It became the warnings parents would give their daughters before letting them go out alone, "Walk in places with people and lots of light, the red-eyed man is out there".
He would hear these incorrect stories everywhere, even leaking into the palace. (Y/N)'s father increased security, fearing the tyrant would come through the gates and destroy his family.
Indra became much more careful with himself, what he said, or how he acted since any false step could push him through endless misfortunes, losing everything he had worked to achieve.
The one who always managed to catch him red-handed, however, was her. At some point, he started to feel a certain discomfort in his chest every time they saw each other. His heart raced and his thoughts wandered to the beauty of her face, her perfect figure, her flowing tresses.
Soon, it became all he could think about, and it seemed to be a reciprocated feeling. (Y/N) started to prove herself closer to him, taking advantage of any excuse for caressing him or getting closer to him. Every training session he allowed her to observe was a way for her to end up entangled in his arms, a closeness that was unfamiliar and adrenalin-inducing for Indra.
He had never considered any woman in this way, never thought he could entertain romantic ideas. His vision of womanhood was only through retrograde thinking, a vessel he would use to carry his future generations once he became the leader of his clan.
This was completely different, (Y/N) turned him upside down, caused him to get tongue-tied, made him feel physically weird and emotionally a mess. She seemed to carry him with ease, as if it wasn't her first time in the ring, having had experience in flirtation.
Without even thinking about it, he let himself go. New experiences also applied to personal situations, things he never thought he would encounter.
But all good things come to an end.
Everything was a wonderful rosy color until the worst happened. Indra allowed himself to let his guard down around her, to relax completely, and once the rumors about him disappeared from immediacy, he indulged in training as he needed to.
Using his Sharingan to its fullest, even unleashing the Mangekyōu, he drifted into his personal session. He trusted (Y/N) was entertaining a family lunch, royalty gathering from all places in her house, princess duties.
He would always conduct his training away from the perimeters of the palace, fearing that its intensity might alert his patrons. But (Y/N) knows the location, and Indra should know by now how hard it is for her to keep up with her political agenda.
She has never seen him use his strength 100%, getting caught up in the moment and practicing even his most difficult techniques. She always observed him in his more physical, simpler movements. Indra didn't plan on teaching any of his true potential, but it seems he didn't have a choice.
At the precise moment when his black flames of Amaterasu self-consume by his own volition, (Y/N) watches him closely. She can see his demonic red eyes burning, with an intricate pattern in his pupil. Indra looks calm, sitting before the fire and spreading it at different distances to extinguish it the next moment.
He does not seem to have noticed her presence, until she tries to move away from a scene unlike anything she expected to see, stumbling over her own feet and falling to the ground. A small shriek of panic escapes her lips as she falls, watching in disbelief as Indra turns to look at her with blood-colored eyes.
"(Y/N)...?"
He asks in a small voice, unbecoming of the man in front of her. It sounds like a small child being caught playing with something he shouldn't.
Before he can react, (Y/N) gets up and flees as fast as her speed allows, running the path she knows like the back of her hand to the immediacy and safety of her home.
It can't be him, it can't have been him all this time.
The monster is here, has been here all along, and sadly, she is infatuated with him.

It's honestly fascinating (and by fascinating I mean infuriating) scrolling through @changes and seeing post after post like "We've removed this unobtrusive but universally used functionality and replaced it with something less intuitive and less useful! Because the new functionality helps feed the algorithm improve blogs' visibility!" And then you check the notes and it's people just repeatedly going "this is making the platform *fundamentally less usable* please fix it"
And then you check @wip and it's people going "[X] feature/change has made my Tumblr experience demonstrably worse, please at least give us the option to choose how it behaves" and they're like "oh silly, people get confused by being able to modify too many settings! Especially those silly newcomers! No, clearly we know much better than you what you find convenient or accessible! We're helping you by removing settings customisation!"
"We need money and therefore new users so we're prioritising making Tumblr more like all the other failing socmed apps out there while simultaneously making the registration process more aggressive and patronising and alienating vast swathes of our existing core userbase! This is a clever strategy that won't blow up in our faces!"
