OK so far the not-statements haven't scared me at all, despite the fact that the stories are well-written and compelling, and the ideas are objectively spooky

My theory for this:

We aren't hearing the victims, the people who suffered from The Spooks, the way we were in tma. We're hearing the things that might by tma-rules become Avatars for their Fear- and though the stories are spooky, its completely different to hear the artist, or the violinist, or the tree man or the needle guy commit the Spooks, willingly or otherwise, than it is to have the Spooks be told to you from the person who suffered from it

Ooh, fun fact, I just realised what makes the gifs heavy, it's not the quality (1920p), it's the FPS. Higher FPS = (for me at least, using Photopea) five times the number of 1920px high quality images stacked one after another. But I guess they sometimes do make a difference. Check this out.

I don't know how they look on the other side until I've hit publish, because social media often compresses media to allow quicker retrieval and let's be honest, them not having to spend insane amounts on storage of massive volumes of data. But yeah, you tell me if there's a difference.

anyway finally finished girls to the front. obviously had a lot of opinions about it. i have a lot more respect for the day-to-day lived realities of riot grrls and the underground community fostered. but like. man. is the music so secondary. my main critique of riot grrl is it took many of those bands growing out of the movement amd growing up to hit something truly, artistically great (music-wise).
