I desperately need to break my writer's block, so pretty please hit me with prompts!
(I can't promise I'll write any all of them, but I'm hoping something will spark in my stupid brain)

I don’t usually love an AU (I lean toward canon compliant, or at least canon-adjacent), but this lovely story by a show-only author set after the Last Battle really captivated me. It’s beautifully written, and while the details can occassionally be jarring when they are out of step with canon, the underlying questions and introspection still ring true. I especially love the scene with Marin, and the last bit just absolutely does it for me.
Notes from the author:
For redbrunja.
Written for this amazing prompt: "It was not lost on me that if Lan was ever restored... and married Nynaeve.... she would be a princess. Which I think Nynaeve would scoff at and then be really good at." Thank you for the inspiration, redbrunja!

What are dead man walking tornadoes? :O
it’s a multi-vortex tornado. i dont remember the tribe it originates from (i think it was cherokee), but there’s a native american legend…? saying? that goes “if you see a man in a tornado, you are about to die.”
the most infamous shot of a dead man walking tornado hit jarrell, texas in 1997
it did so much damage to the town it caused the scale that tornados are measured by, the fijita scale, undergo revisions, and it made anchoring buildings in the tornado alley region pretty much mandatory. (it took the entire town off the map. only those who had taken shelter outside of the town or in underground bunkers survived.)
two more examples of dead man walking tornadoes looking like a person are a tornado from 2011 that hit cullman, alabama
and a tornado from 1975 that hit xenia, ohio
edit: it has been brought to my attention that the native american “legend” part of this post was a rumor spread by a documentary.
i have been asked to remove it, but i believe in letting my errors stand because i’m not perfect. i make mistakes

yes yes characters doomed by the narrative always slap BUT what about characters saved by the narrative? characters who have already given up hope and don't know they have a happy ending? characters who believe they are a lost cause, characters who feel irredeemable, characters who think there's nothing left for them, but the narrative does provide a way out? what about the characters who don't expect anything good, who don't even remember how to wish for it anymore, who get the things they need anyway? what about the characters who actively run from being saved getting saved in a way they can't stop or control. what about being saved by the narrative!!!

The global reaction to Aaron Bushnell’s self immolation has been very jarring. I understand how powerful and scary it is to witness such a young man set himself on fire while screaming for a free Palestine, but to now see comments like “his death will not be in vain” and “the video will haunt me forever” is very strange considering the depravity of the videos we have been seeing coming out of Gaza for 4 months. It seems like people are now using Aaron as the “perfect martyr” of Palestine that we can put all of our efforts into celebrating as if there has not been 30,000+ Palestinian martyrs that we have been begging you to acknowledge
