It’s a routine.
When Amber Chen was a young girl, she spent most days after school at Petals Lab & Design, zooming through the front door into her father’s waiting arms, chattering about the meal she had whipped up in the play kitchen at Kindergarten that day. Customers would fawn at her pigtails as she hid shyly behind her father or skipped behind the counter and hoisted herself up on a stool, munching on apple slices her mother had cut.
During her high school days, she would be sure to lock her car twice, twirling her keys around her pointer finger as she walked in. She’d drop her backpack, placing her iced green tea in the center of the counter. If the shop was filled with customers, she’d go into the back room and check the whiteboard filled with her father’s scrawl. If the shop was empty, she’d lean her head on her chin while listening as her parents rattled on about shipments or what was going to for dinner that night. On Mondays and Fridays, it was just her and Xavier or Willow in the shop. On those afternoons, she blasted the music a little louder, swayed her hips a little bolder and dragged whichever poor soul was working that day into a dramatic dance that always left both of them laughing.
Once Amber went to college, she still found herself coming in every other Sunday to help out, with a sample of whatever baked good she had made that week, an iced green tea, a hot black coffee and a cappuccino. Her mother would always roll her eyes, before reaching for a cookie or cupcake or brownie, chewing it thoughtfully for a couple of seconds and scrunching up her nose.
“This is too sweet,” she’d say, or, “Too much chocolate.”
Her father would then wander out, taking a small sip of his coffee first before placing a gentle kiss in her hair.
“Missed you. How are classes?” Before she could answer, he would always get distracted by something else, whether it be a customer, a phone call or the sudden epiphany of remembering something he had to do hours ago.
Amber knows that a bouquet of lilies was always acceptable for a funeral or that corsages cost $30 on average, and that yes, they can find a flower color to match the dress. She could rattle off cost estimation for bouquets by the time she was 13. She even finds herself from time to time sitting across from couples at a table tucked in the back corner of their shop, pulling out wrinkled papers to consult them about the floral arrangements for their wedding.
One hot morning in July, she’s left completely alone to open the shop. Her parents are helping with preparations at a large wedding. She had decided to play one of her favorite playlists over the speakers, soft guitar plucking and the honey-like voice of John Mayer accompanying the routine of putting out the flowers that had arrived that morning. The music’s louder than usual, as people usually flock in about an hour after opening.
But this time, the bell rings after two songs, and she looks up to see a guy around her age, gray hoodie over his blonde hair, black vans covering his feet. The neutral color scheme of his outfit heavily contrasts the bright colors of the flowers around him. He has a calm aura about him, hunched shoulders as if he’s trying to make himself smaller to fit into the shop. She shoots him a tired smile before going back to stocking the bouquets of roses. She waits until the end of the song to speak up, finding him glancing at the orchids.
“Anything I can help you with today?”
He looks up, “Uh, not at the moment.” His hand reaches up to scratch the back of his neck. “My mom’s birthday is today, and I’m a jackass who is getting her something right before she wakes up.”
“Well, orchids are always a solid choice.” Amber backs away with a small nod. “Let me know if you need anything.” He hums in thanks, and she walks back to the register.
She pulls out her laptop and looks over the materials her eventual boss sent her to read before her first day of work in a month,  singing along to “Daughters” under her breath, ears alert for the tinkling of the bell at the front door.
She looks up to see the guy shuffling to the counter, and closes her laptop. He clears his throat, eyes bright and smile contagious. “Do you happen to do custom bouquets?”
“We do.” Amber walks from behind the counter and leads him to their lab, eyes going to the multitudes of flowers and brain already spinning with ideas. “Tell me about your mom. What’s your relationship with her like?”
He blinks. “Good. She’s literally always smiling. Has never yelled at me once. She’s the strongest woman I know.” He trails off as she gathers a couple of various stems. “That all you need?”
“Well, let’s see.” She points at each flower as she describes them. “Gerbera Daisies represent happiness, pink carnations represent gratitude and peonies represent prosperity and good health. Pair all that with some baby’s breath and you got a beautiful bouquet right there.” She raises an eyebrow. “Ultimately though, it’s your gift. I can do whatever you’d like.”
“No,” he shakes his head with a nervous chuckle. “It’s perfect. Go ahead.”
She flashes him a grin before methodically cutting the stems of the flowers, arranging them into a lively arrangement of colors and wrapping it all together with tissue paper and a ribbon to match.
He pays for the bouquet at the register, and when she comes around the counter to hand it to him, he thanks her before ducking his head down and walking back out into the muggy Saturday morning air. She blinks as she watches him get into his car, but shakes her head to herself as the phone starts ringing.
A few weeks later, Amber finds herself waking up to a frantic call from her mother, asking if she can meet up at Camrose Hill for a wedding. Her father has to deal with a shipping miscommunication back at the store, and she needs one more helping hand. When Amber arrives, she steps out, travel mug filled with tea in her right hand and her left hand smoothing down her red floral dress. After asking around, she finds her mother next to carts filled with roses in various colors. With a quick hug, Amber gets to work on building the arch, the light breeze making her regret not putting her hair up.
“Funny seeing you here.”
She looks up and blinks twice, standing up from her crouched position.
“Good morning.” She eyes him up and down, admiring his white button up and black dress pants.
“You here for the wedding?”
“I’m the Best Man, actually.” He chuckles, shoving his hand in his pockets. “My best friend’s getting married.”
“Congratulations,” she says softly, climbing onto a nearby chair to reach the top of the arch. “Beautiful place to do it too.”
He nods, eyebrows furrowing as she stumbles slightly in her heeled sandals. “Do you need help?”
“Absolutely not. You’re a guest. You shouldn’t even be out here right now.” He eyes her warily when she attempts to reach down to grab some roses off the cart, hands automatically going up as she almost falls over. She sighs, “Fine. Grab me five ivory ones and three pink ones, please. And the scissors.”
“So, what do they mean?”
“Hm?”
“The roses. What do they mean?”
She glances at him as she intertwines the stems together, wiggling her fingers at him for more flowers. “They’re roses. Roses are pretty typical for a wedding, generally symbolizing love. I’m sure you know that.”
“How about the colors?”
“Your friend’s soon to be wife chose ivory instead of white, and ivory usually means gracefulness. Peach roses are usually given as a thank you gift, so gratitude and sincerity is tied to that one. I’ll admit that green roses are more rarer in weddings, but it means growth, so perhaps the start of growing together as a married couple?” She shrugs. “Or maybe she just likes the color combination.”
“Knowing Stacy? It was probably very methodical.”
Amber laughs airily, before sticking her hand out. “Help me down? I need to move the chair to the other side.”
Before he can respond, someone from inside the tent calls his name. He helps her down quickly, before running his hand through his hair.
She hums. Brock. It fits. “So that’s your name.”
“Can I get yours?” He asks hopefully.
His name is called again and Amber shrugs with a sly grin. “Another time. Think you’re needed, Best Man.”
With a slight huff, he backs away with a wave. Her attention goes back to her fingers as she threads the flowers into the white arch, listening to the chatter of the other employees preparing. She’s out of the venue before the guests have even started arriving.
The summer always brings in tourists from all over, many itching to take a peek at a shop that has a rainbow of flowers outside of its doors. Balancing her new job at a PR firm, she pops in to help her parents, fingers slowly getting scars and cheekbones beginning to hurt daily.
On a day where the sun is shining bright and the shop is in a lull during lunch hour, Brock walks in. His smile is wide as he makes small talk with her mother across the shop. Amber freezes when she sees both sets of eyes on her, and swallows her tea as he walks over.
“Hi again.”
“I came in yesterday looking for you,” he said. “Your parents told me to come back today.”
“Looking for me?”
“Yeah.”
“Did they tell you my name?”
“Amber.” Fuck, her name rolls off his tongue so sweetly.
“That’s what they call me.”
“Beautiful name for a stunning girl.”
She snorts, “What can I do for you?”
He grins slightly at her professional tone. “My mom was complaining about how her place isn’t homey enough, so I figured I’d come to my favorite flower shop and talk to the experts about how to fix that.”
“My parents could’ve helped you with that.”
“I know, but I wanted your opinion.”
She moves from behind the counter, lips lifting into a smile as he immediately follows her. “If you want just a bouquet, you can never go wrong with sunflowers. And judging from your sporadically timed visits, you’re probably not around town much, so it wouldn’t be wise to get a plant that you would actually have to take care of. Unless that’s what your mother wants.”
“How do you-”
She stops in front of the sunflowers, ignoring his question. “We got a fresh delivery this morning. If you don’t like these, there are plenty of orchids I’d suggest as well.”
“I’ll take the sunflowers. What’s the special meaning of these?”
“Exactly what they look like. They bring happiness into people’s day.”
“That they do.” She feels her cheeks flush from his stare.
She quickly rings him up and bids him farewell as he walks out the door, smiling to her parents along the way. They both turn their heads to look at her as soon as the door shuts, and she rolls her eyes before venturing into the back room, ignoring the shout of questions and comments.
Winter rolls around quickly. Every time someone has purchased sunflowers these past couple of months, she can’t help but think of Brock; the last image of him imprinted in her brain was him walking out the door with sunflowers in his hand. That was four months ago.
Since then, Amber’s figured out who he is. Brock Boeser. Vancouver Canucks. Minnesota’s very own. She’s spent many nights with a few glasses of wine deep thinking too much about it.
She’s outside the shop one day after a long day of work, on top of a ladder, gloved fingers fumbling around with the string of lights. Her cheeks are rosy, snowflakes are sticking to her hair and she’s been yawning every five minutes for the last hour, but she’s determined to get these lights up before she locks up in 15 minutes. The poinsettias, mistletoe and holly are scheduled to arrive the next morning.
“Are you guys still open?”
She straightens up at the familiar voice and tightens the gray scarf around her neck. “Yep. I’ll be down in a minute.” She hangs the last of the lights and plugs them in. Wiping her eyes with the heels of her palms, she stores the ladder away and walks in.
“Brock. Hey. What can I help you with today?” She asks, ducking into the back room to hang up her coat. The shop is quiet, crooning notes of Spotify’s “Christmas Coffeehouse” playing in the background. The dark blue button up peeking out of his black winter coat makes her smile. It’s the most color she has ever seen on him.
“Can you help me with a bouquet?”
“Of course.” She observes the half-empty buckets. “What things do you want to symbolize this time?”
“I actually know what I want.”
“Oh yeah? Great. What would you like?”
“Purple lilacs, irises, pink roses and baby’s breath, please.”
“Just give me a second. The roses are in the back.” She begins arranging the flowers and looks up as she’s grabbing the wrapping paper, noticing his confused stare. “Is everything alright?”
“Yeah, you just, didn’t tell me what they mean. Like, the flowers.”
Amber chuckles. “You’ve obviously done your research. You still want me to?” Brock nods. “Okay, purple lilacs symbolize first love, irises symbolize wisdom and eloquence. Roses are romantic, but pink ones specifically? That symbolizes admiration. So I would guess you’re giving this to someone you like, maybe a romantic partner? Someone you haven’t been with for long?”
He whistles, “Damn. You’re good.”
Her heart sinks the slightest bit as she shrugs, before a particular set of flower stems caught her eye. “I know it’s your bouquet, but how would you feel about adding daffodils? It would add a beautiful contrast to all the purple you have in here. I won’t even charge you for it.”
“Add them in, and charge me for it too.” She plucks the daffodils out of the bin, separating them throughout the bouquet. “What do those mean?” Brock asks.
“The daffodils?”
“Yeah.”
She clears her throat. “New beginnings.”
After adding the finishing touch of a purple ribbon, she punches the sale in the register and walks from behind the counter to hand the bouquet to him.
Brock shakes his head. “Nope.”
Her eyebrows furrow. “Sorry?”
“They’re for you, actually.” She raises an eyebrow, and he continues, flexing his fingers continuously. “It’s my stupid way of asking if you would like to go on a date with me.”
She looks down at the bouquet and back up at him, raising an eyebrow. “Right now?”
“If you’re free. Or in a couple weeks. I, uh, I don’t work around here, unfortunately. So I won’t be back in Minnesota until about a month or two.”
“I know who you are, Brock Boeser.” She hands the flowers to him again. “Hold these while I close up?”
“Is that a yes?”
Amber grins, scanning the shop. “Yeah. It’s not stupid, by the way.” She shuts off the lights, grabs her coat and locks the front door, her date for the night following her obediently. “It’s actually really sweet.”
“You think so?”
“Yeah.” She tentatively reaches for his fingers with her other hand as she admires the bouquet. “Do you wanna know something?”
“Anything,” He says, leaning down so he can hear her better.
“Daffodils are actually my favorite flower.”
“Like, ever? Out of all flowers?”
“Out of all flowers.”
He leads her to Osteria La Buca with a wink that has her stomach flipping. “What a coincidence.”
She looks down at the bouquet with a smile.

Celebrating AlHaitham Day!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Warnings: Spoiler on Haitham's Bday Dialogue (Tweaked it a bit), Nicknames for s/o (my lil bookworm), Gender neutral reader, OOC Alhaitham sry ill prolly remake this
a/n: Happy Birthday to the one and only akademia scribe, AlHaitham 🌱! Posting my first fic on Haitham's bday! Hope you like it!
Tumblr media
Prologue: You were living on Alhaitham's abode as well as Kaveh for a long period of time. He was basically one of your friends before becoming your s/o. You were one of those few people that can understand how Alhaitham mind works as well as know his past. You wanted to surprise Alhaitham on his birthday, one that isn't too grand, just for him to experience, since he's special to you.
------
Alhaitham woke up finding his house empty of bickering noise that usually wakes him up everyday. He went out to the kitchen, seeing pre-brewed coffee, plates with butter chicken and pita pockets, and a small mint green colored note that says "Good morning Alhaitham! It's your birthday is it not? Well happy Birthday! I know you don't celebrate your birthdays too grand so we I made you some butter chicken, pita pockets, and I even pre-brewed your favorite coffee! I apologize beforehand as something came up with Kaveh's project, and he asked for my assistance early in the damn morning, so I couldn't greet you when you woke up, nor I think we can't celebrate your birthday a little later. I really apologize, I'll make up to you really!" He read your note with a very small smirk in his face, although the smirk was washed away by a hint of sadness as he could not see your face early in the morning nor even spend time with you later. It is true that both of you were working on a project despite you being a Spantamad scholar and Kaveh as a Kshahrewar scholar. Alhaitham went on his original routine, after his morning coffee and ate the food that you made, he scurried to his office to see application forms piled up on his desk, after minutes of rejecting majority of the proposals, he went to the library to quietly read books.
You and Kaveh didn't actually do his near-due-project, both of you were preparing for a surprise for Alhaitham, since you knew that he hasn't experienced being surprised even when he was little. You knew that this was either a hit or miss situation, but you already decided that whatever Alhaitham might say, you wouldn't take it to heart. "Y/n? Y/n! Are you listening to me?" Kaveh shook you as clearly you weren't listening to him. "Sorry, I was deep in thought, what was it?" you gave Kaveh an apologetic look. "Ah! I was asking what food should we buy later, and the cake, the decor-" "Kaveh, I'm sure Alhaitham doesn't want a grand surprise, lets just make it simple? Simple decor like party streamers, and Alhaitham isn't really picky with food so we can probably make Lambad cook up some fish roll and ask some specialty from our friends, like Nilou, Cyno, Dehya, and Tighnari!" you cut Kaveh as you were walking down the Grand Bazaar "Right, Do you think they'd even agree to that? As that man clearly has no sense of emotion! Not even sense of style nor design! Did you see how he took off the magnificent piece of..." "Kaveh not right now....." Kaveh begins to rant how both of you were preparing for a guy that he clearly hates.
Alhaitham on the other hand, still is on the library, reading his usual range of books. His reading pace is quite slower than normal though. His mind is quite clouded today, as there are times that he thinks about you being unusually unavailable and he's probably thinking of increasing Kaveh's rent in the process. He shook his head, his irrational thoughts getting into him. He actually looks up to you a lot, and you actually gave him the key of feeling emotions, not that he'd give up rationality of course! It's not wrong to say that you made him feel emotions he's not used to feel. Alhaitham noticed that it's passed his office hours, so he packed up and made his way home.
While AlHaitham was spending his last minutes at the library, You and Kaveh were decorating his house; the place was quite tidy, party streamers were hung up, and a variation of food was across the table. You even manage to whip up some gifts from your friends.
Kaveh was on the watch, he saw Alhaitham coming home, he hurriedly sprinted towards the house signaling you "Y/N! He's coming!" he said as both of you hid behind the table.Alhaitham noticed Kaveh's stare from afar and he knew that something was up but he kept it to himself and let Kaveh do his thing.
When Alhaitham was on the doorstep, getting his keys, he could sense something was fishy. He turned the keys, opened the door, switched on the lights only to hear you and Kaveh yelling out "SURPRISE!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALHAITHAM!" For once, Alhaitham was stunned and speechless, however that quickly changed and went back into his usual cold demeanor. "Wouldn't it better to save your enthusiasm on my birthday, to everyday of your lives? In that case Kaveh wouldn't cram his architectural projects and you to wake up early every single morning" Alhaitham said, as a small smile crept his face. "HEY!!" "I sometimes wake up early, mind you!" You both shouted at Alhaitham.
All three of you were hanging out on the living room, talking and chatting how the day went. You noticed how Alhaitham was a bit more quiet than before so you decide to approach him.
"Hey? Everything alright, Haitham?" you questioned him while wearing a worrying look
"It seems so, what made you ask?"
"Well you're more quiet than usual..."
"Mhm? Nothing gets passed by you, doesn't it? Well to be frank, I just don't know how to respond in surprises like this, since I didn't really ask for it" Alhaitham bluntly says.
"Oh wait did we...did I upset you? Sorry I just really want you to experience being-" Alhaitham cupped your cheeks.
"Nonsense, my little bookworm, I just didn't expect you to surprise me, let alone have Kaveh to help you, I apologize if I didn't make myself clear enough" he continues to cup your cheeks and he gives a little peek at Kaveh before giving you an Eskimo kiss. You blush at the action he made and you remembered you still have one surprise left. "Haitham wait...I have something to show you" You led Alhaitham at the backdoor of his house, "I know this wouldn't really be that special to you since...." you opened the door, revealing a small picnic area under the starry skies. "I know... I know you're going to say that stars are just big chunk of rocks on the outer space, and the light reflects on them so you we can see them...but!! I really want to spend this time with you...for once! Under the beautiful night sky!" You gave him a look that's hopeful, he made a small smile, thinking you wouldn't notice and said "The night sky indeed does not appeal to me..." you frown "However... the light from the moon and the stars above illuminate how alluring you look" Your face becomes red as a tomato and Alhaitham slowly slithers his hand to your waist and gave you a forehead kiss. "S-stop! Since when do you talk like some Snezhnayan man!" you cover your face as Alhaitham chuckles.
Both of you were sitting on the picnic-like setting, you were sitting on Alhaitham's lap, his head on top of yours, and his arms around your waist "Thank you..." you heard Alhaitham murmur, "For what?" you looked up to him "For surprising me, I haven't really had any enthusiasm in birthdays since I do believe that enthusiasm is best used in everyday situations; however I acknowledge your efforts" "Oh my... Are you getting sappy? THE Alhaitham thanking me for the surprise?" you made a small smirk and he tackles you and tickles you making him on top of you.
He stopped tickling you and made a cold look "I'm being serious" he told you "I know" you said as you rubbed your nose onto his. He lift up your chin, getting ready to kiss you, and you close your eyes only to hear a slam of the back door, "Y/N I GOT IT I HAVE AN- Ewww are you two making out, like out in the open?! Haitham since when were you this bold-" Kaveh, currently semi-drunk, interrupted the moment he shouldn't have. "KAVEH!!" Both of you screamed, you throw something that was near your grasp and it hit Kaveh's head, making him unconscious (it was a Zaytun peach). "Oops, oh well!" you said while you suddenly kiss Alhaitham, who in exchange also melted in the kiss. Once you were both out of breath, you both suggested to continue this inside, as both of your hands linked with each other and leaving poor Kaveh outside to sleep.
Bonus (the next day):
"Ouch...my head hurts" Kaveh said as he was rubbing his temples. "Hey, Y/N...remind me why was I sleeping outside? And why was there a Zaytun Peach near me...." Kaveh asked you "Oh, I don't know! Maybe the peach fell on your head and knocked you unconscious" You explained to Kaveh while trying to hide your laughter. "Oh I see, thanks Y/N...wait... ZAYTUN PEACHES DOES NOT GROW ON TREES, Y/N COME BACK HERE, WHAT DID REALLY HAPPEN?" Kaveh chases you as you began running when he realized. Alhaitham came out of his room and saw the two of you running around, "It's too early for this..." he said as he turns around and close his room.

Heyy sorry to do this. Requests will be closed by the end of October! Hehe, I may not seem it, but I'm kinda young, and I got exams, hehehe, so I'll make it up by writing a few more before this 14th.
So Dan heng caught me attention. Unfortunately, honkai Star Rail has to be given up because I can't afford to mega games (latter is genshin impact). Anyway, lee!Dan heng it is! Out of the question! He deserves it!
Ps I love this new design, and I'm one to talk when I am spoiled too, so spoilers for Honkai star rail new update. But its before he turns super duper hot... he's still super hot! Heeee squeee!
Tumblr media
Same as always
March 7th had definitely gone to Himeko for something she wished to discuss with her. Caelus was alone with Dan heng who was always in the solitary state. His aura is calm and unapproachable. Its like an arena in a thunderstorm, waiting to strike once the conquerer is disturbed.
But Caelus loves to mess with a serious guy like him.
"Dan heng~?"
He knew the teasy tone from Caelus too well, he sighed "Yes? Caelus?"
"Wanna play a game?"
He stared, his deep eyes peirced through his own golden orbs, "Play that Nintendo switch by yourself"
Caelus pouted now. "I wanna play with you, duh!"
Dan heng silently leaned back against the couch of his room. He lifted the book up so he could read it better "Try reading, at least a word?"
That little!
Caelus wondered, how can someone so cool and collected be flustered. He certainly can be annoyed but not enough.
March would try to disturb him.
So...
Dan heng had ears so he could tell Caelus, circling behind him where his head rested on the arm of the couch, looking at the book. Sitting straight now, Caelus leaned over his shoulder and eyeing the large heavy words and texts on the boring book.
Caelus pointed out warily "man you are so weird"
"I could say the same. Why are you so clingy?" He sharply said, trying to move front by his hands, grabbing his shoulders to stop his movement.
"Stop touching me so causally, please..."
"Serious dude!" Caelus groaned playfully and then surprising Dan heng he drilled two index fingers on his exposed ribs, startling him as he dropped the book.
Caelus smirked, really didn't expect him to be ticklish but had hopes he succeeded.
Sighing Dan heng pretended to not have felt ot "Stop touching me so casually Caelus, what do you want?"
He hummed now once more hooking an arm over his shoulder and pulling him close to his side "ahhh bro chill, your so stiff and rigid, lighten up" he tossed the book in front of him and Dan henf sighed irritably "Gosh, March's influence sure is amazing"
True... now that she's contagious he feels more attentive tk mess with Dan heng.
Sneaking an arm to his ribs, Dan heng stiffened as the tickly touch. Its casual and testing, Dan heng tried to hide it.
"Somerhing wrong?" Caelus grinned, now gently pinching his sides, which he tried to hide. Dan heng cleared his throat, still holding a straight but anxious face.
So he's fighting back? Interesting, Caelus snickered.
A little tweak to the hips-
"Eek!" Dan heng almost ruined his endurance, he grabbed his wrist in swift motion now giving a dark glare "Caelus, cut it out... this is very irritating"
Caelus giggled "Come on admit thst tickles?" He poked his tummy to force him "right? Right tough guy?"
"A-absurd yohou should give up! Chihildish techniques won't work on mehe!" He says it with trembling giggles. Cute... Caelus didn't think his icy nature could melt so sweetly.
Crumble his defence a little around here.
"H-hey!" His ribs...
Then another wiggle to his tummy.
"K-knohock it off! I'm warning yohou!"
Finally sneaky fingers under his neck to expose his armpits. He gasped at that and...
"Gotcha, Dan heng"
It was at this moment that Dan heng was slightly impressed by his strategic plan. Of only, he uses his brain during missions as well.
"Gehehe, ahahalright, you hahahad your fuhun!"
"Wait, did Dan heng honest to god giggled!?" Genuinely, he was surprised. it's a rare sight to see his face blush and explode with giggles.
"Cute..."
"Hahahahaha nohoho!" That triggered him tk blush. Alright this is too cute, why didn't March tell him something this important... unless nobody knows but themselves?
Caelus knew armpits should weaken him, so he kept his target there whole Dan heng could concentrate to push him off.
"Man, you sure are sensitive, I expected you to have escaped this by now, but you're too ticklish for your own good"
"STAHAHAP TALKING!" His voice shrieked, the usual calmness was gone now he was loud when Caelus grabbed his ears.
Those blushing ears were a dead giveaway to his sensitivity. Dan heng widened his eyes grabbing his wrists and shaking his head "T-thahat tickles... WAHAHAHAIT! EHEHEHEHE PLEHEHEASE I GIHIHIVE UP!"
Caelus obliged and cupped Dan heng's face with adornment "you should laugh more bro... its adorable"
Pushing his hand away and blushing even more redder than earlier, he panted, "I... hahate you, childish idiot"
"Love you too, handsome"
Although they both did know, he somewhat enjoyed that as a smile lingered close to his lips even after the tickle attack. Maybe just a tiny bit... he could say he liked it? Probably, he won't mind another round with Caelus.

Annnnd here’s the continuation of my “Space Series??”, for LMK! We got our boy, Red Son!
Tumblr media
Red Son is in charge of Mars! I really didn’t know how to approach his design, but I just wanted it to be spicy! Kind of gave him a prince vibe, and did my best to maintain most of his original color palette. I also gave him horns. One wonkier than the other! ^^’ I may be a bit biased because he is just my favorite. I love him.
Tumblr media
A cute wholesome interaction between MK and Red Son!
In this AU, Red Son unfortunately spends most of his time alone, like a couple of other celestial guardians. MK on his own journey to being the guardian of Earth, and has to visit Red Son for aid in stopping Pluto from conquering the solar system. Red Son was heavily reluctant to help, but was swayed by MK and his friends eventually.
I kept MK relatively the same here, but I look to only do some tweaks to his design, because honestly his design is already pretty good!
I hope you guys have a quacktastic day!💜

playing silly games with him no matter your guys’ age, your just happy to get butters away from your a-hole parents and into a better mindset
that scene where butters is in “VR” and kicks stephen in the balls, your standing right behind him with another headset on giving him a high five shortly after >:)
(your both grounded, but so worth it 🎀)
being professor chaos’ sibling in crime means you have a lot of cool advantages!! being older means making a lot of the choices (even tho this is prof. chaos’ team)
you design tweaks in the costumes, making your guys’ villain arc better together and getting revenge on stephen and linda like the badasses y’all r
playing hello kitty adventure with butters!! ALL THE TIME🫶 you love hello kitty as much as your brother, and damn anyone who talks smack about it >:(
when butters has chores you always help him!! and take some pics in the process, much to stephen’s chagrin. (but who gives a shit ab stephen )
when he’s upset over lexus you always reassure him she was good for nothing and he deserved way better!! (aka kenny ,, for all my bunny shippers, cough.)
4 all my bunny shippers (again), your the first person butters tells about his gay relationship. and obvi you don’t judge, you think these goobers r adorbs!!
you make/buy kenny and butters matching pajamas!! when kenny sleeps over you waddle in butters’ room wearing the same pajamas as them. (they’re flushed and embarrassed 🤭
setting up little dates for them in the backyard, telling your parents their just having a picnic (your their fake waiter) <3
whenever you guys fight butters is the first to apologize, even if your still upset you say your sorries and dismiss him.
your the first person butters tells about his whole marjorine thing, and you accept him, transgender or just a regular costume :) there’s nothing that could make you hate your brother.
speaking of marjorine, you help butters look more believable!! and when he tells you about that whole crying in the bathroom thing you comfort him the best you can, even if he is feeling better !!
treating him to ice cream and random candy you got from friends!!
speaking of ice cream, your his assistant when he works at the ice cream shop, and when cartman took all his money you gave half of your bank account savings to butters <3

Finally this guy appears.
Dear GERSH it took me awhile to get this design right. I did an initial design back in November of last year that I was... eh... about. Mainly it didn’t feel creepy enough. So I let it sit for a bit and focus on some of the other characters. Finally came back to it today after having a dream and seeing this version of him.
So, Storm and I sat down, watched some episodes and I sketched while watching. (Fun fact I am still making my way through the series properly. XD I’m in season 3 and having a good time.) And so... we get all this.
I basically broke Skeleton King into pieces to try and improve the original design I had. Started with his head, then worked towards everything else. Cause truth be told the hardest thing for me to nail down was his head. Mainly in that... I had to allow myself to break way from giving him a realistic skull. Odd thing to say but this is due to the fact of doing things in my style rather than doing as the show did. The show stylized his skull in a way that made sense. I can’t get away with it as well in my style. So hence I had to think of something. The solution being allowing myself to warp his skull into something monster like due to what happened to him. So skull was stretched out, jaw is detached and he has his sharp teeth. Very happy with this skull over the realistic one. Again, I know, odd to say but I really wanted to keep the essence of what it was like in the show since I do like the design. Just a matter of translating. And with the realistic one I just didn’t think he was scary enough. He’s supposed to be the stuff of nightmares for Chiro. This realistic skull wasn’t it. This one? Absolutely.
Then as for the rest of of him, the body was honestly the easiest part since what I had done initially I was already okay with. Just made minor tweaks like simplifying how much bone we see, how much bone he has, and modifying his outfit, Like giving him full on pants since admittedly, have his leg bones showing came off as a bit goofy to me. Same with the claw feet. Just seemed to silly so he gets full on boots.
Last piece was his staff and I just decided to redesign the whole thing from the ground up. Kept elements of his canon one but wanted more power to exude from it.
After all that, we then get the concept art render at the beginning of the post. Where we see his cloak as well and all the pieces put together.
Tough challenge, but very happy with the end results. I look forward to doing full renders of this guy in the future.
And yeah. Hope you all enjoy my take on The Skeleton King.
Catch ya on the next one.

‘Verse: Box Boy Universe Story: A Girl Called Spider Timeline: A ways into Rayce’s training
Biting, pt2 [Prev | Next]
He turns the questions round in his head for a long, long time before he dares to ask. It has to be as respectful as possible, if he wants any chance at an answer.
When am I going to be wiped, please, Handler Sharan? What’s my designation, please? Do I have a number, Handler, please? What’s going to happen to me?
He waits until she’s in a good mood, as much as he can read her moods. He waits for a time when there’s more praise than punishment.
He also waits until he’s just been fed, so he doesn’t ruin a shot at getting food.
She has him cleaning floors. He can’t see a spot of dirt anywhere, the maintenance Pets probably did it all already, but he knows it doesn’t matter. All that matters is that he does as he’s told.
She’s barely correcting him, it’s probably only to keep him busy, only to make sure he can’t rest.
“Handler Sharan, ma’am?” he asks. He doesn’t take his eyes off the floor, or let the sponge pause in its circles. “What is it?” “May I speak, please, Handler?” “No,” she says. “You may not.”
And that’s the end of it.
It’s a punch to the gut, but he’s had a lot of those now.
There’s no use trying to ask anyway. She might easily have shocked him just for trying the first time. If he pushes his luck, she’ll definitely use the collar.
Swish-snap – another bright flare of pain across his ass. The shorts don’t dull the sting as much as he hoped they would.
What did he do? Oh – he’s been scrubbing the same circle for – too long. He shuffles on his knees to the next patch. Not that it matters.
He should have just asked rather than asking permission first. He should have known it was a long shot. She hasn’t told him anything because she has no intention of telling him.
The bitterness still curdles in his empty gut all through the exercise, and the next one, and it fades a little but it stays with him. It even niggles like a loose tooth when he’s alone in his cell trying to get some desperately needed sleep before they wake him again.
If he was a tougher guy, maybe anger would have outpaced fear from the start. If he was smarter, maybe he’d know how to stifle it before it burns him.
But he can feel it growing day on day, a rising tide that says no to everything they ask of him, no more, fuck this, fuck that, fuck all of it.
The second time he bites is not an accident.
He knows full well how bad the consequences will be. He knows that if he does this he’ll probably never get another chance. He knows it won’t achieve anything.
He’s just so, so sick of the endless, painful, invasive, relentless touch.
He’s up against the wall again, knees shoulder width apart, palms flat against the wall. Handler Sharan isn’t giving orders, she’s just touching him. Stroking his skin all over, prodding and squeezing until it’s a struggle not to hiss and flinch from the sharp points of her fingers.
He knows it’s about eroding boundaries. He doesn’t know how she knows that he hasn’t let go of this one yet. He tries so hard not to recoil or complain.
He’s just not any good at it, he supposes.
Especially when her hand dips down the front of his shorts to grab at his junk. He knows it’s no different from everything else she can do to him, there’s no use in fighting it – but he can’t stop his body going rigid against her, can’t stop his breath catching and his skin crawling.
She tweaks the end of his cock and gets a gasp, then her hand moves on, fondling the lines of his stomach, nails scratching lightly at the skin and making him squirm with how badly it itches.
Helpless anger wells up.
It’s not even anything new. It’s not exhaustion to the limit of what his body can handle. It’s barely painful.
All he has to do is hold still and tolerate it.
That’s all.
“Alright, break time’s over.” She slaps his ass – sharp over the welts – and he yelps. “You’re losing condition, can’t have that. Up on your feet and give me squats.”
Of course he’s fucking losing condition, she’s starving him. He doesn’t know if he can do one squat.
He’s going to find out.
It turns out he can do twenty-three, although the last thirteen are pathetic and get him switched across the shoulders. After that, he falls on his smarting, aching ass.
She hasn’t told him to stop, so he knows he should get up, he knows the shock’s coming when he refuses, he just – he hates this. He hates her.
He chokes through the shock. He still doesn't get back up.
"What happened there, trainee?" Sharan asks. "You were doing so well." He knows an opening when he sees one. "I'm sorry, Handler," he snivels, "I - I can't, I'm sorry." "Try," she tells him testily.
He does, because he isn't brave enough to keep refusing. But maybe he doesn't try very hard, maybe he gives in to cramps that he probably could have pushed through if he weren't so fucking done with all of this.
The switch snaps across his ribs, and the back of his thighs, and he makes another show of straining his shaking limbs trying to push up from the floor.
There are tears in his eyes, and that's not faked.
She crouches, and pulls his head back by the hair to get a good look at his face, and he's so scared that she's going to see the hate and anger written all over him that he must end up looking sufficiently wretched after all because she merely wrinkles her nose and sighs.
Then she drags him up by the hair, and that makes him really try to get his feet under him. He’s clumsy from exhaustion and he falls against her and she staggers. Her arms wrap round his chest to catch him and they dig in sharply to all the bruises over his ribs.
He squirms, and she pushes him off her. He sprawls across the tiles.
“Bad Pet,” she hisses. He gets another shock from the collar.
He doesn’t know what she expects from him next but staying where he fell is not it. Another shock.
For the first time in – god knows how long – his hands go instinctively to the collar to try and prise it away from his throat. More shocks, a higher setting, held for longer. He screeches and spasms on the floor.
He doesn’t quite black out, but he loses track of the Handler, right up until her hands on his shoulders signal him to roll onto his back. He pants raggedly for air, voice catching in the back of his throat, and looks up at her.
“Shhh,” she soothes, petting his face. As if she didn’t do this. As if he’s supposed to be grateful for the burning, itching hand on his skin.
When he bites her, it’s not an accident. It’s a moment of pure, unadulterated spite.
For just a few seconds, the fear of consequences doesn’t get a look in. He just wants – all he wants – is to make her hurt.
He waits until her hand is steady on his cheek, and then he turns his head as if to nuzzle into the touch like one of his girls would – and then he sinks his teeth in as hard as he can, and he shakes his head like a dog, and he doesn’t let go.

Which of the JHN/CHN characters was your favorite to design? Favorite to draw? Has that changed over time?
It's been a year and almost 2 years in the case of Jake, so I feel I can share these here now (used to be Patreon rewards but since I dunno what I'll do about it currently, I'm posting them). Also this feels a bit of an unfair comparison between all JHN/CHN characters because despite having planned Jake and Cat from the very beginning (plus the detective at the end of CHN) due the fast development of the games I haven't really design many of the characters aside their pixel sprites, which is something I really wanna do before jumping into CHN update since Hope was the only one that get a design because I needed to draw her in the cutscenes.
I think the one that I enjoyed designing the most is Jake, probably because he is the one I first drew and had to really like being technically the protagonist of the trilogy despite being also the main antagonist.
Tumblr media
This is the first concept I did of jake with a comparison with the latest drawing I've made of him down in the corner (more of those later). When I first drew him, my only goal in mind was to make a "generic chad guy" more fitting to be the jock of a horror movie than the killer. Slowly that turned to "I want him to look like a generic, handsome guy, that you would never suspect of" because then him being the killer would be more of a twist than having a creepy guy end up being the killer (and maybe it worked a bit too well if I go by manlybadasshero video comments with several wanting to find a reason he is still good, or just choosing to ignore the murdering part).
I also had fun designing Cat and Hope, but I might go and make some tweaks since I am not as happy with their designs as I am with Jake. But I don’t know if it’s because I haven’t drawn them as much (plus being honest, Cat is too close in design to look like a self insert so I wanna work more on her agshdh).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Despite only being pixels I did enjoy designing Reid, it was a fun challenge to design a character that should in a way align with the same basic characteristics as a classic slasher, but being very different from Jake.
Tumblr media
From which one is my favorite to draw, currently Jake, which is probably not an exciting answer ahdhf I mostly really enjoy playing around drawing his emotions, finding ways to draw different smiles that go from friendly to threatening or unsettling.
I do wanna draw them all more often and start treating them more as ocs than game characters, n just draw them in situations and worry less about spoilers and all of that.

@ikkaku-of-heart sent: "Rumor has it that it's your birthday, and I'm a gal who considers those worth celebrating. So, here's a little something for you," Ikkaku said, handing Mihawk a medium-sized box. Inside was a set of tools perfect for wine; a foil cutter, an electric wine bottle opener, reusable stoppers, and a wine aerator. "Made them myself. You're allegedly a guy who likes wine, so I figure you could put these to good use. Let me know if there's anything you think needs tweaking in the design or if there's another tool you think needs to be made - I'm always looking for new projects. Anyway, happy birthday."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They were barely even acquaintances, having only ever talked a handful of times, and yet Ikkaku had not only made sure to remember it was his birthday, but she got him a present. Not even got him as in bought it, she made it. The swordsman, quite literally, was at a loss of words. He never expected anybody to go such lengths for him, for a day that only happened once a year. He took the box from her, carefully unwrapping it, its contents making him almost tear up a little.
❝ You made these? For me? ❞ It was as if he didn't believe it, as if the answer wasn't very evidently in front of him, even given in a verbal explanation, too. People never did things this nice for him. ❝ An opener, stoppers, a wine aerator? This is... incredible! Thank you so much. I hope you'll stay at least for a glass or two? We can test it all right away. And there's cake, too. ❞ Not a very big one, though he at least made himself a small one to celebrate at least that way.

could i perchance ask for a detailed description of rivi and ingis?
!!! Like appearance-wise or personality?
I'm actually intending on doing some character profiles as I get further into the story, where I'll have a full design with notes, and basic info about them. However, I do have the basic designs for most of the main cast which I posted previously. I may tweak them a little in future but these should be fairly close to the final look.
Tumblr media
The guy on the left is Rivi, and the one on the right is Ingis. (The girl in between them will be showing up soon.)
Rivi is 28 years old and tall (I don't have exact heights just yet, but probably 5"10' or 11'? He's not 6". I know that much.) He's got dark brown hair that tends to look almost black and grey eyes. His outfit can change a bit, but he typically wears a greyish peacoat with a simple plain shirt or t-shirt underneath, stretchy and comfy dress pants, and dress shoes - he's gotten accustomed to this ensemble from having to attend and help out with a lot of academic presentations (he's a student researcher). He nearly always stands casually with his left hand in his pocket, and gestures around him with his right. He likes the stars and quiet areas, and tends to be polite and affable when speaking with others. He offers good advice, and is generally very kind.
Ingis just turned 20 and is actually not that much shorter than Rivi - the height difference just looks more dramatic because he tends to hunch in on himself. He is broad shouldered and kind of a big guy, but he tends to stand in such a way that he looks much smaller. He dresses more casually than Rivi, tending towards simple shirts and jeans and sneakers, but his constant is the blue knit sweater he's always wearing. It's too small for him and doesn't fit well anymore. Ingis' hair is a light brown, as are his eyes. He has a pair of big, rectangular wire-framed glasses, but his eyesight isn't all that bad and he can do things without them (though nothing is quite in focus). His eyebrows are fairly thick. He never knows what to do with his hands so he typically has them shoved in his pockets or otherwise holding something. Ingis is overly polite and apologetic, and while friendly, he's a bit naïve and quick to get anxious. He really likes young kids but is also nervous around them lol.
I hope that's detailed enough? Like I said, I'll be doing some character profiles for the story, which will contain proper reference, personality traits, and design notes. I also have some of my initial sketches when I was designing them here... they're rough, but I might as well add them
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Rivi is in his sleep shirt here with coffee hehe)
Is uh. Is this at all what you wanted or did I just go on an unhinged ramble? I hope it was what you meant...!

When Mary Manchin argued that SPN gets zero market testing, even Destiel, I already had the fucking receipts that we cleared 3 years later safely after much scrutiny.
When Jess of Mary Sue screamed at me that "the authors had no intention" of trying to take Destiel anywhere, early season 14, I stared at her like the unplugged alien she was, while she trumpeted for example how well she knew berens bc she sits at con tables with him but can never read his eyes rolling out of his head.
When season 15 started, i said at the start of the season we were going there. Because, well, it was the first thing he wrote, and his ONLY reason to stay, which is weird for not having intent. But anyway this "STOP GETTING PEOPLES HOPES UP" condescending garbage was so thorough that Natalie Fisher, a real life friend of Meredith Glynn, argued there wouldn't be a confession that year, only a few episodes before it aired, when we already had three layers of leaks, including the script wholesale and some international stuff, like me too/i you
The entire time they barked and barked and omg it happened. Then the ending wiped out and they laughed at my old "spec" along with that confession of roadhouse reunions and more, missing everything else matched up down to events and death order just to pretend they won something.
They screamed and denied anything was removed or omitted or cut then we got the scripts and the cuts. And then they screamed louder, and literally started thanking covid for destroying the ending to give them what they wanted, or as close as they could ever get.
Jensen's graphic designer stared me in the face and told me the pilot was fake when I had a list of like, 30 reasons 100 miles long it was real that they'd never get, and i told them and 2p0 and everyone they were wrong and gasp, they were wrong!! Go figure that winkyface no Danneel DMed you wasn't real, but whatever they sent you last week sure popped ur lid
So then 2P0 tried to hyperfixate on proving the pilot was gonna be dramatically different and way overblew getting shrill about the reshoots, so I went ~somewhere and within 2 hours confirmed the exact nature of the reshoots, which beyond a few additional fills when the whole group came back for ep 2 were mostly finished with the extended pilot shooting, and how small and minor those were--phrasing tweaks, framing and light mood adjustments. Boom, a week later screener drops, says the same damn thing.
This entire thing is a fools errand of dipshits not understanding WHO has reliable info about WHAT and think A Source Is A Source Is A Source, They Know Someone, Right? -- and like, no. now 2p0 out here trying to frantically retool his pilot dialogue less than 2 weeks before the pilot airs and got so fucking up his own ass about it he forgot there were other episodes to track.
Seriously guys. Follow the leak history there and realize just why 2p0 and co are treading water so desperately for a narrative to fix. For years they brushed all of the above events under the rug but it's time to consider them as a complete picture--both what the creatives were fighting for, and how absolutely fucking disconnected 2p0 is. even people with better contact like Jess don't know what the fuck they're doing. They won't tell their real friends like Natalie most of the time. And low ranking workers in one department do not inherently know the business machinations above their paygrade.
It's time for fandom to start boxing this off. to not fall for 2p0's nonsense blending con sizzle reals and official ads to try to make confusion. To delineate the departments and understand who has perspective on what. To know where to reach above that. And to look for caveats or deflections in the way authors speak.
If you guys weren't desperate for anti confirmation biases or bitter confirmation biases, you'd be embarrassed for EVER reading jensen's "a script got leaked" shit the way 2p0 did. he didn't say it was fake, he said it was different, and that's true, they had already revamped the axis mundi visuals even before the reshoots but the song remains the fucking same, dudes, cope.
Look real, real hard at which fandom leakers speak clearly with confidence on these issues, and which ones like 2p0 say a pile of nothing commital so later he can pull one of 5 options out and say he was right. No, we don't do that shit here. That's not being In The Know, that's you not even being able to sort out your fifth degree rumors, what the shit.
History matters here, folks. Don't buy a car with a history of breaking down, and don't follow a blog like 2p0 that perpetually does.

HI! i love your blog and all your oc's especially dianthe + georgia!!! but a question, how did you become attached to your tav's? I've been playing one and off since august and haven't been able to stick with a tav I've made :( the furthest I've gotten was half way through the shadow-cursed lands before my save was corrupted and had to restart. I really want to get into bg3 but i've restarted my playthroughs more than a dozen times because I've not been attached, any words of wisdom are welcome
omg thank you so much for your kind words !!! so sweet :,)
to answer your question, i became very attached to my guys over time (i flip-flopped forEVER on if i wanted to drop feron in the game), so don't feel like you have to rush it! you can always change elements of their backstory or personality later/as they come to you—i'm still tweaking the finer details of dianthe's backstory as i plan a second playthrough for her to really get a hold on her character.
it also helps i think, if you tie your tav's backstory into the main themes of the game (trust, diverging paths, free will, etc). the best way i've done that is by giving feron an overbearing authority figure in the form of a hag from her past, much like what the rest of the companions have with cazador, shar, mystra, mizora, etc etc.
also fucking around in the character creator for fun has done a lot for me in terms of character design & the vibes i end up giving them!
i hope this helps ! <3

"I believe in equality in battle," she raises her hand up and places another on top of where her heart is supposed to be, eyes closed. This reminds some people of some comedic moment before a massive beat down happens, but in this case? The beat down has already transpired with beasts and monsters behind the Apostle as she acts like nothing what happened was her fault. "Equality of getting their asses handed to them, naturally." So unserious, Zarina shrugs it off while looking away from the young man in front of her. There is too much laid-back body language in her, all too relaxed and all too unbothered. "If you wish to learn the ways of fast mass destruction, Trailblazer, all you need to do is ask. I taught a guy who used a baseball bat like you; he became a hero," Kevin, I hope you're resting now. "But really, Himeko would actually skin me alive if we're later than we already are. So can we just gather materials and go back? I don't want to kneel and apologize to Himeko again." It never happened, but she has to make the situation comedic and extraordinary. "Or do you want to make Himeko mad, Caelus?" Now she's staring at him as if studying him, wondering if he'd like to do that. Is he confident and brave (foolish) enough to not fear Himeko herself? Not that she actually fears the red-haired maiden, but this is just too funny not to create a comedy out of.
"Wait, you got some teaching bones tucked into you somewhere? That somber mood of yours actually allows that?"
For Caelus, the fine art of finding joy within battle, embracing the moment that the rich experience endlessly becomes was a worthwhile endeavor. That goes for the weak in the greatest struggle, and as equally viable for the cosmic forces that can rendered the current opposition into limbs. Beheaded, bisected, torn viscerally and fading into data like embers back to the Fragmentum's obscurity. Those golden eyes wouldn't flinch to the view of Zarina's exercise of might. Amidst their conversation, a massive shadow would begin to loom over them, the heat of stars pulsing vividly from the cores of their body as a bestial growl escapes.
Naturally did the entity find itself ignored. His disposition was too concentrated on the poised question to the quirk of the warrior's brow. Now he's certainly not ignorant to the wrathful flame that can be coaxed from Himeko's totality when a schedule meets it's hiccups. "So a golden chance or a concern about punishment? A Home Run or the Sacrificial bunt." His lips found themselves poised in a growing smile, a ravenous sense of potential thrumming in his veins akin to an engine.
As the welcomed weight of his bat finds itself positioned skyward, for an instant the skies begin to dim, the very clouds above parting as if being fashioned apart through the extent of his own will. The progress that found itself burning through blood, bone and soul was also breaking threshold upon threshold. So here Zarina remains, holding the intrigue to actually add a personal tweak to such a design, to let that mere faucet expand into a raging river?
Caelus solemnly swears that HooH's presence was holding over this area, that boundless energy holding a 'closed gaze' to what seems like such a casual choice.
For Equilibrium intends to make such heights an impossible hell to realize.
Tumblr media
"Who says we--" That answer would be exercised with the sudden whip of his arm, just in time as the surroundings scathing glowered with the force of of scarlet Hellfire quickly approaching them. It'd be the thorough method of a decisive slam of that Curio that the answer come to fruition. The heavens wail, the lands split, and the once raging force of star bursting flame finds itself rendered to silence in the name of Destruction's Requiem tearing seamlessly through it's paltry attempt. Many notes in the name of a true masterstroke were missing, and even with this incomplete piece was the Solar Fragmentum beast rendered to pure matter through Destruction--
A ravine settles where it's body once remained, this particular Fragmentum zone dissolving as clips and bursts of static can be perceived by the eyes. It was the zone's final gambit, drawing forth another data copied remembrance of the Antimatter Legion would be the answer of vengeance, a sloppy yet aggravated and strong variant being collected from the experiences it gathered. Caelus himself would only watch as he remained side by side with Zarina, a look of expectation shining with mirthful welcome in his eyes. This chasm set before her, and the final foe was the resounding reply.
"Can't turn seconds into minutes. How about you wake up a lil bit and show a smile with this? If I'm getting a hand, I'd like you to throw a lil backbone into it."
Such a haughty request.

Emily Kwok – How to Defeat the Bigger Stronger Opponent in No Gi LINK DOWNLOAD: https://skillscourse.net/emily-kwok-how-to-defeat-the-bigger-stronger-opponent-in-no-gi/?feed_id=2301&_unique_id=6584079b89ca2 Emily Kwok – How to Defeat the Bigger Stronger Opponent in No Gi Description of How to Defeat the Bigger Stronger Opponent in No Gi The Bigger, Stronger Opponent in No Gi… This is the world’s first instructional video set designed to give you an edge over bigger, stronger opponents in no gi grappling. We’ve all had it happen to us. Some lower level, less experienced grappler shows up for class, asks you to roll, and then winds up dominating and maybe even submitting you. How did this happen? Simply because they were bigger, stronger, heavier, and more powerful than you. When this happens it’s hard to keep things in perspective. You might even feel like you’ve been wasting your years on the mat; “I should be better than that” you say to yourself. Anyway, it’s incredibly frustrating when the only reason you tap out to somebody is because he’s a lot bigger than you or spends all his free time lifting weights in the gym… And without the gi the bigger, stronger opponent has an even greater advantage. Without the lapels and cuffs to help you manage his weight and prevent his control over you the larger grappler usually finds it easier to use size and strength to force his way past the defenses your defenses, apply his superior weight, and crush you. Or when you’re passing the guard you DON’T have the cuffs on his pants to kill the movement and strength of his powerful legs… Without the gi the smaller, weaker person is at a huge disadvantage. But things don’t need to be this way. There is hope in no gi, even if you’re fighting a person significantly bigger than yourself. what ya think of the new re4 remake? c:
I love it! (Everything below is the opinion of a nerd who is way too into the RE world, btw.)
OG RE4 is my favorite video game ever, and like many I was worrying over every bit of information we were fed. I didn't expect it would be, but the worry that it would be like the RE3 remake was there. Thankfully, I think Capcom knew they had to do this one right.
For me, the game is 10/10. They really upped the horror, the story, and made the difficulty feel welcome. Great enemies, great use of the cult this time around, and the game is absolutely beautiful. Not to mention the sound design is so goddamn perfect. I also love how the soundtrack is similar to the original with the old leitmotifs in some of the music. I love the addition of requests and the expansion of the maps and the exploration in certain chapters.
As a remake 9/10 - I'm aware this is just because of nostalgia filters. It's only because I have a few problems with some of the characters. While I think the tweaks to the story made it stronger and a lot of the characters are so good (I've always loved Ashley even in the OG but I'm glad everyone is taking to her in the remake), some got a raw deal.
It's a touchy subject right now, and I'm going to state: I don't condone harassment or bullying. I do think you can criticize something without being cruel. I'm not a fan of Ada's voice acting, but I can recognize what the actress was going for. I'll leave it to others to speculate. That being said, I feel like they gave her character a lot less to do. I'm hopeful the Separate Ways DLC fixes that. Krauser is... okay. Just okay. (Which disappoints me as someone who likes the metaltango ship; none of that tension was there this time.)
That being said, I think Nick (Leon's VA) did much better this time around for me. Really appreciated the fine line he played between Leon's depression and his cocky jokes. Luis is great with a correct accent and he's very playful (and all the new backstory for him and his involvement in Umbrella is S tier shit). VA for Ashley is very good. Merchant is CHEF'S KISS, god I loved him, I'd go to the shooting range just to hear him praise me in that accent.
I guess my biggest complaint is the big bads? They just feel so removed from the game. I know it's realism they're going for, but I really liked the hacking of Leon's comms in the OG so we could have conversations with them. It showed personality.
Mendez was... there. Tbf he was there in the OG, too. At least he chased us a bit this time. I hated that I didn't SEE his transformation in his boss fight. He didn't feel like a big threat. (And yes, I missed Leon charge kicking him and getting thrown on his ass, god that was so good.)
Salazar talked at me a few times, but he was so much more of a puppet and tool and thus FUNNY in the OG. I liked how frustrated he got. His remake version, again, is fine. I like that Leon just gets fed up and shoots him all the time. He's at least more present than the other two. The change in his boss fight is good, it has more mobility and I like all the tricks to it.
Saddler is probably my biggest disappointment. I love Saddler in the OG. He has so much personality. He's SO charismatic. He's confident and is a presence from when you first meet him in the Church (and before) until you defeat him in the end. He's in the castle and handles shit himself. He *jokes* with Leon and laughs at him. His fight with Ada in Separate Ways is the hardest thing in the game. I dunno, I'm bummed for him, haha. I think making him this devout cult guy as his defining feature kinda diminished him.
One last thing: I wanted the U3 fight. I'm in the minority, I know. I also know rumors and some of the game's files indicate it might be a DLC thing, but that was the only boss fight in the OG that scared me. It was so different than anything I'd ever done, so I wanted to see how they'd tackle it. All well.
Even with these critiques, I genuinely really enjoy the game. I had a huge smile on my face the entire time. I'm not mad about anything; the changes all worked for a remake and a new generation of people playing it. It's great, no matter these few nitpicks. That's all they are, nitpicks, because the game is spectacular. It's beautiful and it's fun and I really recommend people to play it because this is what a remake SHOULD be.
