The HC of Danny’s hair gaining white streaks but with him being in Gotham.
He keeps dyeing it back to solid black, because he doesn’t want to attract attention by resembling a rouge or vigilante. He has to touch up the roots every 3 weeks so absolutely no one knows.
At some point Danny ends up running out of dye and his roots start to show through so he makes an emergency stop out of his usual way to pick up more dye.
Danny ends up literally bumping into a man that sets off a light version of his ghosts in the hair dye isle, he hadn’t run into anyone that set it off in Gotham yet and ends up having no idea how to react. After a few minutes of uncomfortable staring and silence Danny just awkwardly asks the guy the first thing that came to his mind, basically asking the guy if he’s buying dye to cover up the evidence of his death too.
Jason is now panicking because this scrawny kid just:
1. Thinks Jason died (the kid is right, but he shouldn’t know that)
2. Admitted/thinks that he died (the kid either did die or thinks he did, both are concerning for very different reasons)
3. Has evidence of white in his hair just like Jason (the kids eyes are blue, so his bungee jump back from death’s probably not related to the pit. Hopefully)
And 4. looks like someone Bruce would kidnap off the street and put in a colorful costume (probably the most worrying. The kid looked like a strong wind would blow him over, he wouldn’t make it as a bat or bird)

The other eggs have very loose roles but they do exist!! They sort of take up the space of the descendants-of-the-champions roles that Sidon and the others fill (although I’m not sure who is who at the moment, would have to think about that a little more!!) (I have no idea what role Tallulah plays, but I think she might be traveling around with Wilbur, more info on that later) but sometimes they’re also just like, normal random kids. They are all friends I promise. I don’t have a lot on them though so this is not that coherent.
CHAYANNE AND PHIL. WOUGH BOY. THIS IS A LONG ONE
You were right in that Phil is very protective of Chayanne!! I think a part of him knew Chayanne was The Chosen Hero, but when faced with the decision to send him off to what very well could have been his sons death, if not horrific trauma he was like um. No lol. Not doing that.
A consequence of the storyline in general is Phil isn’t very mentioned a lot, so it gives off the idea that he’s uncaring towards Chayanne, but I promise you that’s not the case!! (Not to make fun of you or call you out of course). Phil is actually very loving towards his son, and was devastated when he ran away with the Master Sword.
Then (for reasons I haven’t thought up yet) he’s pretty distracted but desperately trying to get his kid back. Until the calamity happens and they fail. Then he’s under the impression his son is just dead and he’s in mourning for the next 100 years (Why is he still alive in 100 years, you ask! Well! I took everything from these kids and I think taking their parents is a little bit too cruel so everybody is blessed by some sort of god that expands their lifespan a couple hundred ok :D!!!)
And then a little bit after botw someone goes to Philza and is like hey. The hero is back. He’s hanging out with Princess Pomme. He looks a lot like the missing hero from 100 years ago. Your son. Might be your son Phil. And Phil basically takes 3 seconds to process this before clawing himself up from his depression and being like OK. WE’RE GONNA GO GET HIM!!! AND IF ANYBODY TRIES TO STOP ME IM MAULING THEM. Of course he gets to hyrule RIGHT as totk plot starts and Chayanne goes missing so kind of an L BUT THEY DO REUNITE!!!
They get their moments. They also get a really tearful reunion where Chayanne is like dad im so sorry for running off oh my god :( I forgot you for a hundred years you must be so upset with me. And Philza is hugging him like oh my god my kid is ok. Oh my god. YOU’RE GROUNDED FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE WHAT THE FUCK. And then just caries him around. And probably has some sort of beef with Missa because that’s Chayanne’s Hyrule-Dad. Meanwhile Pomme stands in the back ready to kill him if he makes one wrong move.
There’s a side story kind of sequel relating to that where Pomme and Chayanne have to grapple with the fact that Chay is also a prince and his dad misses him dearly and wants him to come home but they don’t want to be separated ever for the rest of their lives. Maybe even some parent bonding. Like a little family-person drama to contrast the cursed-destiny-supernatural-calamity drama and probably some Death Family Bonding.

You know that problem horror fiction has where if you do the “the real horror is real life” well enough, when the actual horror pokes its head out it just seems really goofy by comparison? Like it’s so unrelatable it verges on comedy relief?
#I wish I had a smart conclusion about this but I’m trying to figure out how to troubleshoot the problem if I ever write this typa thing and#I don’t know how#’cause I just read this book about a young woman widowed for one year who starts receiving weird letters and messages from#an old flame of her deceased husband that he never told her about and it all was done so well it was like modern gothic fiction until#the last 20% or so when the letter-writer actually shows up with all her evil schemes in tow and then#suddenly it’s a completely different kind of book still scary I guess but the horror of the story was about not knowing what’s going on#and not having the person you once trusted and relied on to get you through it#and once she knows and has something to fight besides her own self you lose that#and I’m realizing the same thing happens with Stephen King a lot too cause in Pet Sematary#(spoilers)#I’m not saying it SHOULD have ended with the guy heading out to dig up his dead son because that would have been a copout but it would have#been way scarier#because the scary thing is the level of grief that would drive someone to that extreme and how easily you could put yourself in his place#and then his son is an evil zombie and it’s like okay whatever

Unpopular opinion: I don’t want og!Loki to be in Valhalla after Thanos killed him, I want him to be the new ruler of Hel.
#to expand: this is based on the theory that Hela is his biological mother#and she died in ragnarok so naturally there needs to be a new goddess/god of death and naturally that would be her biological child#so like loki inherits the throne of the dishonourable dead and realises he has necro powers and all that#I know it’ll never happen but like#that would be a reeeally good way to still have him Around but not onscreen anymore moving forward#and it would also give him a somewhat peaceful ending while still allowing him to be#the morally questionable chaotic neutral who fills a villain image like he’s meant to <3#also I think it would be poetic as hell if#instead of just torturing the souls or straight up ignoring them like I’m assuming hela did#he actually offers them mercy and a chance at redemption in death#like he understands what it’s like to be the bad guy and be deemed unworthy and he knows it’s not always your fault#so he works with some of them and talks to them and tries to give them a chance to honestly redeem themselves and amend their mistakes#and once they do that he sends them to Valhalla :)#so that means he has a working relationship with the upstairs#and while he’s never going to reside there permanently I’m sure they can work out a visitation or something between him and his dead family#I just think it’d be so great#let’s face it he’d never be happy spending eternity doing nothing in Valhalla#he’d rather have an active role#even though I don’t love the idea of hela as his mom#I love this idea#hela#loki#loki helason#mcu#og Loki#tag mega#kinda

i cannot stress this enough:
nie mingjue tried to kill jin guangyao, both before and after he died, but nmj’s reasons for trying to kill jgy never included “jin guangyao killed him.”
nmj never knew that jgy played a part in his death.
he was generally paranoid, but there is no indication that he had any real, concrete information about anything jgy was dealing with. nmj never actually knew anything about what jgy was doing.
he did not know that jgy had done anything to the music, and he had no reason to believe that the progression of his qi instability was anything other than natural. we don’t see any indication that he even acknowledged that it was getting worse.
moreover, nmj tried to kill jgy multiple times BEFORE he died, even before jgy started playing for him. even after jgy was playing for him, what finally set off nmj’s fatal qi deviation was not, in fact, the revelation that jgy was trying to kill him, but overhearing jgy’s private comment to xichen that nmj was treating jgy poorly. that was what sent him into his fatal, paranoid rage.
