Ironed the top and backing, made the quilt sandwich with batting and pinned it! The final steps are quilting it (sewing the three-layer sandwich together) and then adding bias tape to the edges! It's really coming together!

Bonkers patchwork playmat I made for a friend's new baby. As with all my patchwork so far, this is entirely handmade and constructed from scrap fabric (old clothes, leftover from other projects, etc). It's a variation on this pattern from talesofcloth.
EPP patchworking is one of the most rewarding hobbies I know of. The barrier to entry in terms of cost is very low. Give it a go if you're in need of a relaxing activity!

First time laying out my scrappy patchwork using left over scraps given to me, and parts of jelly rolls and fat quarters. Could be a few more years in the making! Pattern will definitely change as it grows.

Hand sewn hexagon quilted project bag, using my favourite colour scheme. The last photo is just before I took out all of the cardboard templates after finishing sewing all of the hexagons together.

I haven't been on Tumblr in ages, but I'm back and bursting at the seams! Get it? It's a sewing pun!
Anyway, here is my current work in progress. I call it the Rainbow Swirl quilt. It is 100% hand sewn English Paper piecing. Currently, there are about 1800 hexagons in it. I've been working on it since August 2021.

Another English paper pieced quilt block for the Pile!
I’m by no means an expert, but I’m wondering… should I post a little video on how I’m putting these together? Maybe I’ll go work on it now 😅

english paper piecing hexagon quilt is coming along— one quarter done! the colors are way off in this picture tho, most of the blues/greys/yellows are shades of green in real life

I have slowly been working on my cheese quilt...I mean honeycomb quilt. I have all the partial honeycombs for the top, bottom, sides, and corners all completed.

I included my pattern so you can see what my end goal is. Now I have to work on the full hexagons. I already shared one, and I need 59 total. My hexies look a lot less like neatly sorted cheese now. I have them in baggies for each hexagon, so that I have the right number of them for each block.
Here are some close-ups of some of my finished pieces.

Side-by-side for scale...I keep working smaller and smaller. Something about a mini quilt is just so adorable

I’m so proud of myself because I was able to iron about a yard and a half of fabric by myself despite after being a day out from surgery on my broken arm. My doc wants me to move my arm as much as I can. But boy… ironing and folding feels like an intense workout for my left arm…
I got three of four fabrics cut for a quilt for my mom. I’m so excited to work on it. I’m planning on making a hexie quilt with these fabrics so I can try my hand with EPP.

I just had the terrible idea of starting a two year long craft project... oh no.

Hexagon quilted case for my knitting needles. Every part of this from the zipper to the end seams were all hand sewn, there was no sewing machine involvement!

Wondered where my attic windows pattern top went, it hadn't been assembled yet, I only got as far as truing it up.
The black backed appliqué was going to be harvested so the pieces can be reused but I took a second look and have decided I'm going to finish it. It's the same print in three different colors and the pieces are placed on to replicate the print. Trust me, it'll look fabulous when I get it finished.
The hexagons are leftovers from the quilt in space along with some fantasy sci-fi prints from the stash, trust me they're in there, and now with the wizard quilt I'm going to wait to add scraps from that before making something.
