I know I post everyday about lines I write that make me feel intense but here by all means have another one!!!!

#I'm not writing a full fic rn but I'm writing some of the dialogue for an eventual fic#andrei is a scholar and now apparently a poet#so basically I have figured out that briar was the one who first brought up the quartet getting married#because yeah fey weddings aren't super common but briar spent their early years with humans#and they have officiated a couple fey weddings because they are a community figure#but they only talked about it with andrei at first and andrei talked about it with them like he does when they have late night convos tm#and then they together planned on how to propose to jean and emilia#I still doesn't know how they go about it though??#briarposting

see, the briarposting must have really wormed its way into my brain this past week because i saw a tweet that said “men will never understand the melancholy of being a girl looking at old photo albums and seeing your mom’s younger self” and my first thought was :/ excuse you? Not all men… Briar Coparent AU would understand that melancholy actually

i have a patchwork quilt i made where i embroidered a little rhyming couplet for every letter of the alphabet & i’ve never washed it before because of all the delicate embroidery

tully wins of the day
- purchased shorts & a star-shaped wind chime & a stein adorned with gnomes leading a king through the forest at goodwill
- updated my resume (i have sooo much research & archival experience local establishments want to hire me soooo bad <- said while waving a pocketwatch back & forth in front of your eyes)
- drank some peach black tea & ate a croissant sitting by the window in the coffee shop
- went on a night walk just as the rain was clearing up, lied in the soft grass for a while & saw an owl!
tully ambiguities of the day:
- a woman at the art supply store asked me where the kneaded erasers were & i told her i didn’t work there & she said “yes i know, but you seem like you would know where the kneaded erasers were”. i did not know, and she seemed very disappointed

i've been listening to jonathan strange & mr. norrel on audiobook on and off since last summer (tis a long book & i'm a very slow audiobook listener ok) & mostly it has been a little voice in my ear telling me entertaining stories about magicians while i walk around but i'm around chapter 56 this morning & the actual emotional heft of certain parts of the story has begun to reach me. i feel like bellowing or leaping or something

thinking about this one classics prof (a white-haired old man who wore a suit every day, with a godzilla tie on friday) who very sternly told us that pulling an all nighter ages you by an entire year, which he followed up by telling us he was only twenty six but he simply never slept & it had withered him into the aged figure we saw before us. i kinda think he knew what he was talking about. also he told us he had two different fantasy football teams: “one for fun and one for money”

dispatches from aureliaville i saw an extremely serene komodo dragon yesterday & also a string of upsetting egg-based incidents happened to me, a pair of events which i believe cancel each other out
furthermore, a few days ago, i discovered that the seeds in the apple i was eating had started to grow roots, so i planted them & those suckers are SPROUTING like mad
