Hey question, what’s your honest opinions on canon Dimentio? Like, wasted potential maybe?

OOOOO this is very interesting

I’m not saying this because he’s my ultimate fave (I’m very critical of super paper mario and it’s my ultimate fave game-wise), but I believe he’s perfect. Like honest to god if the writers nailed ANYTHING, they nailed Dimentio and everything about him

Dimentio is a very secretive character. Sure, he might not initially appear to be. He’s consistently flaunting himself in his attire and his words, words that seem so full at a glance, but are ominously empty when scrutinized. He forces the audience’s attention to fall upon him. He WANTS all eyes to stare, both the characters’ and the person’s on the other side of the screen. He is draped in a rich, smooth purple and a sharp, extremely pale yellow. He makes purple and yellow, two complementary colors, seem inverse. He makes them wrong. He makes everything wrong. Something about this character is wrong. It’s not the fact he’s on the villain’s team. It’s something else. Something you can feel but can’t put into words. It’s those words. It’s those colors. It’s that smile. It’s that two-faced mask.

And of course you’re right. Of course he’s the secret villain. He has to be. What else is his purpose? The heroes are victorious, the villain who was also destroying all worlds is redeemed because his motive was known, the other villains live the rest of their lives with good intent in their hearts, and Dimentio is dead.

And … It can stay that way. You don’t have to know anything else. There’s no more Memories. There’s nothing more that you cannot miss. Dimentio can remain as he wished to be: Unreadable. Secretive. Wrong.

But, if you wanted to, you could go beyond what the game intended you to. You could find and take out the narrative that was tucked away and hidden for you. Only you. There’s no cast of characters or musical score witnessing this part of the story with you. It’s just you. You, and Dimentio. Dimentio is dead.

I love Blumiere so, so much. He’s such a beautifully crafted character that is pure tragedy personified, and he deserves nothing but love, and thankfully, that is something he is lucky enough to possess. But Blumiere is a liar. Dimentio is a liar, too. Blumiere lost someone he loved. Dimentio lost someone he loved, too. Blumiere never found happiness. Dimentio never found happiness, either. Blumiere tried to destroy existence. Dimentio tried to destroy existence, too. Blumiere revealed his secrets. Dimentio did not. Blumiere is, somewhere, alive. Dimentio is dead.

How crazy is it that something that was so critical for Super Paper Mario’s story to unfold was only halfway told? How crazy is it that the writers created two characters that are so beautiful and so tragic and have to be handled with the utmost amount of care and an unbelievable amount of nuance and only one’s story is brought to light? To me, that is the best thing they could have done. Dimentio’s story did not need to be told like Blumiere’s. It would have harmed his character- his secretive, unreadable character. The writers wanted him to be a mystery, and by god they did not go back on their word. They kept him true to himself, and he died true to himself. Maybe he’s alive, somewhere, true to himself. It would not be the first time he and Blumiere mirrored one another.

It is fascinating to me. It’s something I’ve rarely seen accomplished this well, it’s something I’ve rarely seen accomplished at ALL. To me, Dimentio is far from wasted potential. To me, he is one of the best characters, both good and evil, that Nintendo has ever created, and the fact a good portion of people may be confused with why I hold that perspective is precisely why I personally have it. Dimentio’s perfection as a character IS that confusion. What is not known is what makes everything. This game’s writing is beyond words and I believe that even when it’s showered in praise it still remains unappreciated. It’s part of why I hold it so close to my heart and have for all these years. It’s so unique. It’s so beautiful. It’s so tragic. It’s so secretive. It’s alive.

When I first played totk I had the idea that coming back to botw was gonna be hard, but when I started a new botw file I was surprised by how much I still like this game.

Seeing again the divine beasts roaming in hyrule was so awesome to me. It reminded me how much I like the whole concept of the divine beasts, from their design and mechanics, to their pilots and how they are linked.

I actually really like the story and the way it was told through the lost memories of Link. And I loved zelda's character the most, how she dislikes Link and starts to build a relationship with him. Zelda and Revali are my faves, but I think every champion (and main character) is so well written and given enough time to fall for them, it really hits you when you get more memories and see how they ended up trapped as lost spirits for 100 years waiting for a resolution.

Every important character has something to say about the champions and their legacy. The consequences of their defeat are there, all over hyrule, with the beasts and guardians roaming around and risking people's lives even after 100 years. Everyone knows what happened 100 years ago, and for some characters is even hard to talk about it. It's present all over the game.

And the more I was playing botw, the more I thought about totk and how fucking frustrating that game is to me XD. Because it is a really good fucking game, I fucking love it and I can play it for hours and hours. I don't know how Nintendo managed to pack that beast in a fucking switch. But when I noticed how after like five years in game, no one mentions anything about all the shit that happened five fucking years ago, something started to feel really off. The more you advance in the story, the more it feels like something is pinching your ass and you can't do anything about it.

No one remembers shit. Not even Link. And it's true, not every guy in hyrule should know him. But one would think that the mofo who sold him a fucking house, decorated his fucking house through a certain period of time, and attended to the wedding of one of his workers with Link present there, would fucking remember who is Link! DX. And is funny to see how everyone keeps mistaking Link for some random dude, but it gets obnoxious when characters like Karud don't remember him.

Also, every time someone mentions calamity ganon in game, I remember how at the time of botw I was perplexed thinking "man, what the fuck happened to ganondorf to become such a thing that just hates and destroys. That even lost his humanity?" NOTHING, nothing happened to him, he is just a bitch, a petty evil bitch

This is just to say im still salty about how they fucking erased everything related to the calamity and pretend nothing happened, just to make the fucking zonai shit so you can build tedious and boring ass shit. And the way aonuma and fujibayashi tried to justify this shit in interviews makes my fucking eyes roll 360°...I don't read interviews since then, its like walking on hot cement while a band sings how fucking stupid I am

Non-curse AU! Choso is a big ol' nerd

A/N: As a big ol' nerd myself I feel passionately about this, so I have way too many thoughts repost bc it wasn't showing in the tag for some reason

Below the cut because I'm a yapper!

♠ Definitely the type to meet his S/O through discord because I think non-curse Choso is much shyer than regular Choso

❥ He wouldn’t be an admin. He’d be the quiet type that’s always there reacting to posts but rarely talks. Has the sickest emotes tho

❥ Prefers smaller discord communities, mostly video game servers

❥ I think he'd like the vaporwave aesthetic and all the RBG setups. Keeps his computer area neat and tidy

❥ Choso fucking loves video games. He'll buy those $300 special edition pre-orders and get the cool figures

❥ HUGE Soulsborne fan. His favorite is Bloodborne (on the nose but I couldn't resist). Also really loves Monster Hunter. Cares a lot about the monster's details, like their eating habits. I think his fave would either be Odogaron, Nargacuga or Zinogre.

❥ Picks the edgiest weapons lmfao. Definitely a longsword user in Monster Hunter. Went blood build in Elden Ring

❥ *Sigh* he does consult reddit for his builds and is a min-maxer. I'm afraid Choso is a reddit user but in a 'I need a thorough understanding of this' kind of way

❥ Function over fashion: he dgaf if that helmet is as ugly as sin, it gives him +2 endurance and he's gonna wear it

❥ Lets you create his character & name them & everything.

❥ If you can't be present for the character creation portion, he'll make his character you! Definitely made you his dream guardian in Baldur's Gate 3 (which in the early access was called the Dream Lover, which is even cuter)

❥ Not pretentious at all about what is/isn't gaming, and plays all sorts of genres

❥ LOVES NINTENDO GAMES. Mario has a special place in his heart. DEFINITELY mains Shy Guy in Mario Kart

❥ Will literally cry and die if you play video games with him. You don't have to be good because he'll happily teach you. Just watching him play and asking about the details will make his day

❥ Definitely would do those cute Animal Crossing museum dates. Loves the relaxing, chill music so much. Despite his min-maxer approach to other games, he's absolutely not a time traveler in Animal Crossing. He's of the mindset that it ruins one of the core features of the game

❥ Stardew Valley? Stardew Valley. Honestly, I can't decide who he romanced first. My heart is telling me Leah, but chat pls advise

❥ Speaking of chat, you just know he's a fan of let's players. Always watching a YouTuber or Twitch Streamer. He's a Markiplier fan. You know it, just accept it

❥ Tbh that's a cute thought: Choso being a fan of the reader that's a small twitch streamer. Should that be a thing?

❥ Really good at singleplayer games. AWFUL at pvp

❥ He'll play something like Fortnite or Overwatch for Yuji, but needs to be hard carried because he only plays when someone asks him to. He can't stand how toxic those communities are, and doesn't want to socialize with strangers just to play a game

❥ He gets HEATED SO EASILY when people are toxic, especially if it's directed at Yuji or someone else he cares about. Definitely the type to step in and check other ppl when they're being toxic. Like those clips where it's a woman in a lobby and the dudes all start being sexist. Choso will not let that shit fly!

❥ Teabag him if you want to see him lose his shit

❥ On the note of Overwatch: the only character he can and will play is Mercy, and he just pockets Yuuji the whole time. Yuji has to beg him to heal/boost their teammates

Why do you like META KNIGHT so much? What is your history with the character?

it's honestly kinda hard to put into words, but i think when someone has a Big Fave it's usually a mixture of feeling like you can relate to them but also finding them inspiring in some ways. my actual first kirby game was crystal shards on the N64, but i was first introduced to meta knight in 2004 with nightmare in dreamland on the GBA. i must've been like 10, and i just thought he was really cool and strong because of how easy and fun the meta knightmare mode was. nintendo games have been a big part of my life ever since i could barely talk lol, but meta knight was just a character i particularly enjoyed whenever he showed up, like in air ride. INSTA-PICK lol. i had also watched some of the kirby anime around that time, but i think it was when smash bros brawl came out that i really acknowledged the concept of having a Favourite Character and this dude was definitely him.

i was actually part of the kirby fandom way back when deviantart was in its prime (my account is long gone now). i'm pretty sure i drew the first ever daroach fanart on the english speaking internet but that's a story for another day lol. the kirby series was not my only interest though, and i moved on to other nintendo fandoms (mostly zelda) for the majority of my late teens/early twenties. i still played every new kirby release, but i wasn't actively involved in the fandom. it's really only been in the past…6 years? that i found myself drawn back to kirby/smash. part of it might be nostalgia. but thinking about my other favourite characters from different franchises, there's definitely some characteristics i always seem to gravitate to. i don't think you're asking for a character analysis so i won't go there lol, but yeah. i guess he's just a character that has resonated with me for a long time!

two bows on the back of my lower legs literally the " 🎀" i got those when i turned 18. might replace those with seashells but i also might keep them.

Was your OC influenced or inspired by any particular fictional character(s) when you made them? Dillion: Dillion is drawn from a lot of different sources of inspiration, but most notably he's sorta like if you put Prince Sidon (botw) and Zapp Brannigan (futurama) in a blender and gave the resulting abomination Laszlo Cravensworth's (wwdits) voice Dogmark: He's been around for so long that I can no longer directly trace anything about him back to any specific lineage. HOWEVER. I did find out very recently that he looks uncannily like the character in the musical Rent who is also bisexual and named Mark. That was a total coincidence Sloane: a lot of her design choices were "what would be very attractive to me personally" but i did take a lot of inspiration from Jasper (steven universe) and grizzled male spy action movie heroes.

What genre (not counting the one they’re in) would your OC thrive in? Dillion: sports anime Dogmark: romcom Sloane: stoner comedy

Dillion: if he did, he absolutely didn't recognize it for what it was at the time Dogmark: oh, several. the very first was both Elizabeth and Will from the pirates of the caribbean at the same time though Sloane: probably, but she will never, ever, ever share this information. ever.

How would your OC do in the last book/movie/tv show/game/etc. you read/watched/played? (the last game i played was minecraft) Dillion: he'd do pretty okay after the first few nights, but he would never be able to figure out cooking and starve to death Dogmark: he camps in the wilderness for fun all the time, so just fine actually! just going to completely ignore the horrors that keep crawling up from that ravine though!! Sloane: she's resourceful, so also pretty good. she'd get frustrated that none of the villages have anything to DRINK around here, but she'd get over it.

If your OC was a superhero, what would they be like? (powers, title, general vibe, etc.) Dillion: Captain Riptide: An ocean-themed Captain America type, with a bit of aquaman (water breathing, talks to fish) thrown in there. Basically just regular Sir Dillion, but with a secret identity. Dogmark: he's kinda already got everything already except the cool name ("What do you mean? 'Dogman' isn't cool????"), although he'd be less inclined towards vigilante heroics and more toward going on dangerous missions because the alternative is blackmail Sloane: she'd probably be one of those "mundane humans but is really good with a gun named Crackshot or Bullseye or something like that" type heroes, although her cursed monster arm would be a source of conflict that would probably lead her more toward antiheroism.

What animal would your OC have as their His Dark Materials daemon? Dillion: horse? probably horse Dogmark: hmm! hard to say! probably some four-legged carnivore? heavily steeped in symbolism of loyalty and servitude? what could that be??? Sloane: rattlesnake

What Pokémon would be on your OC’s team and/or what would be their preferred type? Dillion: w... water type Dogmark: normal type!!! normal! he's so normal!!! Sloane: ground type? maybe?

(these aren’t necessarily the same thing) Dillion: well. he's already a Fighter, and i think if he were playing dnd, he would also play fighter. fighters all the way down Dogmark: he'd be a ranger or sorcerer, but i think he would really enjoy playing a wizard or warlock Sloane: she'd be a rogue, fighter, or ranger, and i think she would think dnd is stupid so she'd never play

How well would your OC do in a standard slasher movie? Dillion: last to die, but he'd be, like, super guilty about it Dogmark: puts up a good fight, but ultimately no match for the jumpscares Sloane: goes down fighting in a last ditch effort to save the innocent bystanders. OR, alternatively, dies immediately due to her hubris and cocky attitude

What stock character would your OC be stuck as in a sitcom? Dillion: bumbling uncle Dogmark: awkward nerd who Just Can't Get a Girl! Sloane: token butch

Who would your OC main in Super Smash Bros? Dillion: CAPTAIN FALCON!! Dogmark: (copied from a previous ask) idk anything about the current roster, but probably Fire Emblem Sword Boy Du Jour? In melee/brawl he would be a Marth main though. Never played at any sort of competitive level, but he was still pretty good at it. Currently has a hard time holding game controllers on account of his claws and paw beans, especially the teeny tiny buttons on the switch Sloane: incineroar. she's a total shark about it too-- plays dumb for the first four stock, then as soon as she's down to one she opens up a can of whoopass on her opponent

Who would your OC play in Mario Kart? Dillion: inkling boy. [sighs wistfully] reminds him of home Dogmark: shy guy on a little bike Sloane: funky kong!!!!!!!

If your OC was in Star Trek’s Starfleet, what would be their role/position? Or, if that doesn’t really fit your OC: why would they get kicked out of Starfleet? (please take my answers with a grain of salt; i have an extremely casual surface level of understanding of how starfleet works) Dillion: listen, he's already partially based on a character who is partially based on bill shatner as jim kirk, so. he's the captain of this starship Dogmark: some mechanical maintenance role where he doesn't have to talk to anyone, or a security role where he's monitering cameras all day. don't put him in space adventure, he'll get sad Sloane: oh, head security officer. she'll wrestle with an alien lizard any chance she gets.

What role would your OC play in a heist story? Dillion: the muscle. he's not stealthy, he's not good at talking himself out of problems, but he IS good at bonking people in the head and/or breaking down doors. Dogmark: (copied from a previous ask) Getaway driver. He's too nervous to actually be part of the operation, but he's got a lead foot and he's a pretty solid driver. Plus, if they still end up getting caught, he can definitely outrun the cops on foot in dog form. Sloane: probably also the muscle, but in a scenario where she knows someone else is willing to put themselves in that level of danger, she'd be the overseer. planning moves, calling shots, keeping an eye on her team and guiding them to safety (and big money)

What kind of classic horror monster (vampire, werewolf, alien, etc.) would your OC be? Dillion: gillman. duh Dogmark: werewolf. duh Sloane: also werewolf, but hotter. duh

What type of Avatar The Last Airbender-type bender (or non-bender) would your OC be? Any bending specialties? Dillion: water!!!!! he's a fish man, what do you want from me!!!!!! Dogmark: (copied from a previous ask) Supposed non-bender for most of his life, but in reality just never had the opportunity to discover and hone his bending abilities. By the time he learned he was actually a bender the whole time, he'd aged out of most of the available training programs. Unsure what element though! Water maybe? (after the fact realization: probably fire actually) Sloane: non-bender, but she can definitely hold her own against a bender in a fight. probably practices chakra blocking like ty lee

Your OC gets isekai’d to a bog-standard fantasy world. What does your OC do and how badly does it go for that world? Dillion: "oh thank heavens, this is much more familiar to where i'm actually from than the other, much more creative fantasy world that i got isekai'd to right before this" Dogmark: he'd spend a week in terrified denial, then one day a gnome offers him a quarter-pint of thimbleberry ale and he throws his hands up in resignation, accepts the drink, and just learns to live with all the rest of it. his dogman curse ends up being a boon for him, it would definitely help him blend in at first Sloane: she'd spend a lot of time complaining about not having TV or cigarettes anymore (puppet shows and pipe smoke just isn't the same for her), but she'd be relieved that all of her worldly responsibilities and troubles just. vanished. (except for the cursed monster arm, but she'd probably find a cleric who could just. heal her for a day's work and everything's just peachy after that)

In the Muppet version of your story, is this particular OC a Muppet or the one human? Dillion: he's a muppet, but he's one of the full-body sized ones Dogmark: human in human form, but a muppet in dog form. when he transforms, he ducks behind a conveniently placed table and the other version jumps up in the previous version's place. Sloane: she's the human, and she never once acknowledges that her costars are made of felt and stuffing

What would be your OC’s My Little Pony cutie mark? Dillion: a really fancy medieval coat of arms with a nautilus and two crossed swords. way more detailed than any toy manufacturer could ever produce Dogmark: paw print. :) puppy Sloane: a revolver chamber, with one bullet missing.

Your OC is stuck in a musical episode. What song(s) do they sing? (And how thrilled or annoyed are they about being stuck in a musical?) Dillion: he gets the confused and excited "what the hell is happening, why are we singing" number, as well as being in the chorus for every subsequent number. he's a little pitchy, but he's so into it, so his spirit alone sells it. Dogmark: he gets the emotional "all is lost" number that happens on the transition between the second and third acts. it's his one and only musical number-- he spends the whole runtime up to that number denying that he's in a musical, but when his time comes, he owns it. Sloane: she manages to figure out how to game the system by simply not speaking the whole episode-- she communicates entirely by typing things on her phone and having TTS read them out for her. everyone else wishes she would just lighten up a little

In a murder mystery, what role would your OC play? Do you have any hcs for Kaiser and/or Ness backstory?? I'm worried we won't have that much time left with them so I've been pondering, and Ness def gives me only child, middle class (maybe upper middle class), and lonely childhood vibes 😔 I feel like part of his obsession with Kaiser and a big part of his personality is accepting any and all crumbs of affection and recognition, which leads to an easy dependence on a sole model. I like to imagine though, while he didn't get to spend the most time with his parents especially as he started school, that he used to go mushroom and truffle hunting with his mom. I also see Ness as someone who likes or used to train as an ice skater!! I think it suits him and would be helped/lead to his flexible ankles. Also, has some kind of music background whether it's playing violin for a bit or being a choir boy.

He and Kaiser def have major theater kid energy, but I also see Ness as a lit nerd!! Used to be a bit of a snob about it too the little shit but he likes classics, mystery, and fantasy. Def see him as a LOTR fan while Kaiser doesn't know LOTR or Star Wars lmao.

And I think it'd be cute, if their friendship started more normally (though...who knows smh), that Kaiser and Ness used to talk about plays and musicals together. I think Ness would be a tragedy and romance fan (Cyrano de Bergarac, Medela, Titus Andronicus) while Kaiser loves EVERYTHINGGGG but is ofc a huge proponent of the classics, and is very pretentious about his personal meta and deep takes on them.

Also, between the two, only Ness knows some video games. Not a lot, but I think he would have played nintendo games like Kirby, Legend if Zelda (fave), and Mario and would know MegaMan, DOOM, some Resident Evil and such. I see him being given game consoles as a kid to make up for his parents not being there for him, which worked but the intent pushed Ness away from really enjoying video games to the fullest. But I think he'd have a soft spot for a lot of OSTs from different series, and with time, I think he could be a horror game fan but only now and then.

Meanwhile, Kaiser is like...bankrupt when it comes to video game knowledge and references. Anything he knows is from brief osmosis from being an attention seeker as a kid trying to make friends by lying out of his ass. If he ever were to play video games as a young adult, I think he might be interested in MMORPGs but his attention is short with them and he gets pissy if he's not instantly amazing at it. Which I see happening a lot bc I think video games would be a weakness for Kaiser lmao.

hi nonnie!! no worries at all my apologies for replying so late. i have like, a few headcanons for our unhinged bastard münchen duo but some of them i plan on exploring in fics later on so i’ll be keeping those selfishly to myself for now sorry <3 but i feel like kaiser and ness won’t disappear on us any time soon!! we’ve already been with them for quite a while, and after the ubers game we’re still getting the pxg france match, so there’s plenty opportunity for us to learn about their backstories. imo they’re such interesting characters that it would be a waste - and if i can be so bold, bad story writing - not to explore their dynamics further in the manga. so i’m sure we’ll know more about them in due time!! but yeah it’s kinda criminal that their blue lock wiki pages have barely any trivia on them :((

sadly i’m not very well-versed in either theatre or video games but it seems like you def know your stuff!! and that’s really the beauty of hcs - that if it feels right for you why not own it? i can tell you’ve put a lot of thought and effort into mapping out their childhood and interests :)

so let me leave you with this lil brain nugget i’ve been pondering about: i really do wonder if it was ness who made kaiser into the self-obsessed bastard he is today. i feel like kaiser wasn’t born with a superiority complex. he was always good at football, but never thought too deeply about it until he met ness. ness was the original egoist. i mean, from his current skill set, he still surpasses isagi in many aspects. so it was ness who was really good at football, who didn’t have an equal until he saw kaiser play and it shattered his entire worldview, because just like isagi, he realised kaiser embodies that “perfect form of soccer.” and he made it look easy, effortless. so ness became obsessed and decided to devote himself to kaiser, who measured up to be the best in his eyes, and thus, slowly, kaiser started believing himself to be the emperor that ness made him out to be. wouldn’t you develop a god complex if someone was constantly at your beck and call and praised you for it? defended you against everyone who tried to stand in your way but ultimately failed? i’m pretty sure that’s not how their story will go but it is an intriguing food for thought no? (okay now that i'm reading this back it's low key giving a reonagi foil lol but i still stand by it)

i also wonder if kaiser’s rose tattoo has anything to do with his desire to leave bastard münchen but being unable to do so as of right now, hence the thorns symbolising that he is “shackled”. which means he’s looking for something or someone to set him free by “unlocking” the keyhole on his left hand. my guess is that isagi is definitely involved in that process somehow but we shall see!

Look guys. when I started playing I had a feeling that Sena would end up being my fave of the Ouroboros, she's my type of character and all, but then the story started focusing on Taion and ohhhh he is absolutely my fave now. I've been playing as him ever since the game put me in his shoes (granted, at the time I'd kinda forgotten how to switch characters around, but once I remembered I still didn't bother and specifically switched back to him after everything with a certain Beeg Tweest messed around with who I was controlling hehe) and man do I feel for him. Frankly I feel for all these kids, but he connected with me sooner and harder than the others for some reason. And I really hope I did his hair justice, kinda hard to tell roughly what texture it's supposed to be the way Xenoblade's models have hair rendered hehe.

What MK character does each EW character main?

Long ago the 4 Lads picked their main based on their favorite color while playing on Edd's Super Nintendo. Later on as they played more games they picked a second main. They did go to the arcade to play MK and MK2

Edd

His main is Reptile he genuinely enjoys his lore and wishes he wasn't shafted so much. His second main is Kitana, he's a Kombo King. He actually knows the lore of the series and of the 4 Lads he's the biggest fan and can actually play any character well. (Although he's also partial to Jade, Jax, and Sheeva)

Tom

He mains Sub-Zero and is actually quite skilled at him. Although tom claims is second main is Noob Saibot he's actually pretty good at Cyber Sub-Zero and Frost. As long as they play similar to good old SZ he's good

Matt

If not for the fact that Edd unlocked every character the first weekend of that one summer Matt would have never hears of Rain, with his rarity and story of being a demigod prince Matt immediately knew he had to play him. Unfortunately due to Rain's rarity Matt needed a second main, lucky for him Johnny Cage was perfect

Tord

Violence, gore, robots, ninjas, sexy women, this game was made for Tord and who better to main than Ermac? Similar to Edd however Tord can play pretty much any character but for his second main he couldn't resist the ever badass Scorpion

He is also however a fan of the Cyber characters such as Sektor. Beyond those he enjoys newcomer Skarlet and old school Kano

The neighbors prefer street fighter/j

Similar to the Lads they also went for ninjas with their respective colors but decided on the og trio of kunoichi (along with secondary mains)

Eduardo

He was determined to master Jade and he succeeded. He's absolutely terrifying with her. His second main is, fitting with his ego, Shao Kahn himself. He's not as skilled as Edd is but he is skilled in the characters he's mastered so far (Kotal Kahn, Kano, and Goro)

Jon

The unbridled rage within this lad has made him a beast with Kitana that rivals only Edd himself. As tho that weren't enough his second main of Kabal ensures his speed is unmatched

Mark

Mark originally had no interest in playing but his friends practically begged him to, with that in mind he learned to play as Mileena. Her brutal nature is a bit much for him and he isn't the best player but he can hold his own. His other mains tend to depend on aesthetics rather than game play so as such he enjoys the more appropriately colored Lie Mei, the beautiful Ashra, and the handsome Hotaru (F for Mark idk if they're ever bringing him back)

Unlike the other characters above these 5 decided they were going to main characters according to a theme

( This doesn't mean they won't play other characters positious their faves/mastered)

Paul

Paul has decided on his theme being only the cyborg characters with his main being Smoke. (He will still play their human selves of course) he initially chose Smoke due to the irony but ended up enjoying his playstyle immensely. (He was NOT a fan of the Noob-Smoke team up in Deception).

(The Cyber characters are Sektor, Cyrax, Cyber Sub-Zero, Frost in MK11, Smoke and Triborg)

Patryck

Having not grown up with the game and being Introduced to the world of Mortal Kombat in his adult years, Pat had no bias aside from "I wanna be the yellow one" thus granting him the skill to master who he considers the BEST Cyber Lin Kui member: Cyrax. But is also good with with Tanya and Scorpion

Yuu

Yuu decided he would go for the muscle bound characters. His main is Baraka however he's also a fan of Jax, Kintaro, Goro, Sheeva, Shao Kahn, Ferra/Torr although he admits he isn't the best at them (Although he's pretty scary with Jason Voorhees hehe)

Yanov

Yanov decided he was only going to play as a God (if he's going to play a violent game, he wants to be the nice characters. Or so he claims). He mains Raiden but is also quite skilled with Fujin and despite his claims of only wanting to play a good guy, curiously he's very skilled with Shinnok

(Also vibes with Geras, Centrion and Kronika )

Anya

Sonya Blade hands down with a secondary main in Cassie Cage along with Jaqui Briggs. Army women isn't her theme though she's working on mastering every female character in the MK series

Coco

She's a Lie Mei main (Lie Mein ha ha) and mostly just picked her once when she stayed over at a cousin's house who happened to have Armageddon. Aside from her she's also partial to Sareena and Nitara only because "they look cute ^^"

Catherine

She is here for brutality and blood and thus, who's a better choice than Skarlet herself? However she's also a fan of the lesser appreciated characters such as Motaro but she isn't picky, she just likes cool Fatalities and will pick whoever isn't picked already

Laurel

She loves Sindel, she's a a fan of what a girl boss she is. She's been talking a lot to Edd (and Eduardo) about the characters and she thinks they're neat. Her second main has become Takeda

Diwi

This boy is so bad at the game but he tries his best!! He thinks the characters are neat and he absolutely loves Johnny Cage. Aside from him he's also one of the few people in the world to think Mokap was cool and he has a soft spot for Stryker

Mike

He is not immune to cool Shaolin Monks and thus his two mains are Lui Kang and Kung Lao but make no mistake this man is a fast learner, he's started playing the hated characters like Blaze or Meat just so he can flex

Hellucard

His normal main is Shang Tsung or Quan Chi but he's a horror movie fan first, person second so he's here to play ALL the crossover DLC characters. Overall he's the perfect person to fight against Edd as he is a MASSIVE fan

i really enjoy the concept of the game the most. it is literally a dream. it's wacky, it has lots of references to other nintendo games, you fight nightmares and yet it still has this undertone that makes you go. huh, i guess it is kinda deep..

marink is one of my favourite ships !! she is literally his dream girl, and while in the original game she doesn't have that much character compared to modern zelda characters (aside from the 'if i was a seagull' scene) but it just speaks so much for her. both of their simplistic characters fit so well together and the gut wrenching yet ultimately happy (good) ending scene where after the wind fish flies over link a mirage of a smiling marin appears,,, literally poetry to me.

the epitomy of 'it's not that deep but i'm making it that deep' to me.

minish cap:

it's so goofy!! i love it so dearly

the designs are so much fun. the minish are so cute and i love the creative ways the design team integrated them into the overworld even before you can shrink (their little homes, pathways, etc.)

my favourite link sprite in all the 2d zelda games. he is so cute!

i've been loving the gameplay so much! i'm a huge fan of puzzles and thus zelda games, but i'm not that good of a gamer.. i'm happy that the minish cap isn't super hard. it makes it a game that i can genuinely relax to, which help immerse you into the games atmosphere.

one of the cutest zelink relationships. zelda being a bit of an airhead and constantly wandering off and link always being behind her ready to protect her. really cute!!

(Hey everyone. I just wanted to thank everyone who read this far and liked my story enough to read it to it's end. I had a lot of fun writing it and it makes me happy knowing some people loved it enough to read it fully. If you liked this consider checking out my other works. "What do you mean he went off somewhere again?''

Elsa shrugged. "He left a good number of days ago. I thought ya already knew that, Mate. Didn't my big bro tell you anything before he left?"

You shook your head wide eyed. "No. I didn't even have any idea he was gone! How long has he been missing?"

"About two weeks ago. Said he had to take a quick trip over somewhere to pick up somethin' after Sonia told him about it. Not sure what tho. But I'm sure he'll be back soon."

"And how do you know that?"

"He called me this mornin'. Said he'll back by tomorrow noon."

"...Oh."

That was strange. You hadn't seen Gordie for almost two weeks by now because you both had been so busy lately. You just assumed he was spending time with his family after spending so much time in Pasio. You'd been busy yourself seeing about setting up your new home and bakery. So you hadn't seen Gordie lately but only assumed that was because he was busy with everything. But..he had left without telling you? That was very much unlike him. Where did he go? Why didn't he tell you? Maybe he's been so busy and stressed that he had just forgotten? You'd just stop by to see if he wanted to join you for lunch that day and was hit with the news when Elsa answered the door. Well you'd soon find out what he was doing anyways since he was returning tomorrow. The next day came faster than expected and you were in the middle of work too. Your were in the front restocking some supplies when a man of blonde hair and a smile on his face walked in and you paused in your tracks, eyes widened, as none other than Gordie himself walked through the door sending the little bell above the door ringing.

"Gordie!?"

"Y/n!," he said with a smile on his face turning towards your wide eyed look. "I'm home!"

"Where have you been!?," you asked turning from the shelf and frowning at him. "You took off for two weeks without telling me! I thought you said you were done with traveling for a long while."

He held up an empty hand. "I know. I know. But I promise I can explain. Can I talk to you outside for a sec?"

..You rose a brow. "Alright. I can finish stocking up in a minute."

Well that settled it. With that being a yes you went ahead and followed Gordie back outside just in front of the bakery with the bell dinging away behind you. Once outside he stopped and looked at you silently smiling for a moment however you were still confused. It was only after another second or two you opened your mouth, but was stopped when he held up his other hand. You weren't sure how you didn't notice but the entire time he was holding something, that something happened to be a simple pokeball wrapped in a red ribbon. You stared at him, then at him, then back at the ball, and after a moment of silently staring at it, slowly it from him to which he then lowered his hand back.

"...What's this?"

"'S a pokemon."

"I-..W-Well yeah. Obviously. But why?"

"J-Just open it," he stammered hand shakily reaching up to rub the back of his neck. "I w-went through the trouble of getting it for you. T-Took a bit since I lost my way twice..three times if you count losing the way to your house."

You still stared at him for a moment before looking back down at it. Gordie..got you a pokemon? Well that was an unexpected gift but not a bad one! That's actually really sweet of him to do so! With a smile you immediately pulled off the red ribbon and gave the small red and white ball a toss to summon out whatever it was inside. A bright white light popped out from it and the small critter came forth but the sight of it made you pause. It was a pokemon alright and one you HAD seen before...But by accident. When Gloria accidentally gave it to Hop so long ago. The small pokemon had the small body of an apple with eyes poking out at the top where the stem would be and a small green tail behind it. It blinked before looking around and stopping at you. Giving a curious peep towards yourself.

...An...Applin???

IT WAS AN APPLIN!! A FREAKING CUTE LITTLE APPLIN!! GORDIE HAD GIVEN YOU AN APPLIN!! you continued to stare at the small pokemon for a silent wide eyed moment for a moment before looking at Gordie.

"W-What's all this about?"

He gave the shakiest most nervous sounding sigh you had ever heard him say. "Y-Yeah...Look. I jus'-....*ahem* I-I-....*sigh* I didn't know how else to ask. Alright?" His head rolled to the side as he nervously rubbed his neck. "I-...I know we h-haven't really t-talked 'bout being together-together or anything official or nothing...So I-...I-I remembered what your mate said about the Isle of Armor. I talked to Sonia about it and found out there was a ton of these lil guys living over t-there in secret. So I just..." He sighed again closing his eyes gesturing to the small apple pokemon who made a peeping sound. "I wanted to get you one and ask-..W-Well it-it's only natural I'd a-ask and make it o-official at least. I-I MEAN! Only if ya want to. W-What I'm asking is....Y-Y/n. W-W-Would y-you m-mind..being m-my..p-partner-" His body flinched feeling a touch on his hand and he snapped his eyes up towards you.

He got his answer when you wrapped your hand around his own and smiled. "Yes."
