Okay so realistically speaking, giving birth is an excruciating, painful nightmare, and from the few Crocodad fics I've seen most people seem to prefer to write realistic pregnancy and make Luffy's birth a (physically) painful thing. Because it makes sense, it might be more relatable for some writers that way etc, and that's perfectly fine (like genuinely, it's not an issue at all, this is not a critique or a complaint)
God I don't know how to make this segue- Have any of you watched Ore Monogatari!! (My Love Story)? It's a great early 2010s romantic comedy series, funny as hell, super cute and sweet, would reccomend, but that aside. During the series the protagonist Takeo's mother gets pregnant and she ends up giving birth to Takeo's baby sister. And it's that scene, where Takeo's baby sister is born, that I keep on thinking back to whenever I wonder how Luffy's birth might've gone.
Takeo and his mother alike are Sturdy Motherfuckers. Like absolute gigachads, borderline superhuman, it's great and it's funny as hell. And because of that near superhuman nature...
Takeo's mother goes to give birth at 4:15 pm. And she has finished giving birth at 4:16 pm. One fucking minute is what it took for this woman to bring a child into this world. An absolute legend
The screencaps do not do justice to how fucking funny this is in the actual episode
And so like
Like we know Crocodile's been through absolute hell, being an amputee and all. And as Domino told us at the entrance of Impel Down, we also know the man did not even flinch when forced into Impel Down's traditional 200 Celsius cleansing bath (or 392F)
So Crocodile has better pain tolerance than the average person. Like, you might have to put in a bit of effort to cause him actually hurt. So if giving birth to Luffy was an absolute cakewalk for Crocodile, not only would it make perfect sense in-universe and be completely in-character for him, but also
It would be objectively funny as hell

ahhh angst to fluff moment where we have a nightmare about FL going feral and attacking us and we wake up next to him scared shitless. FL tries to chitter and buzz at us in a way that says it’s okay but bc you just had a nightmare about him you bolt out of bed and he immediately starts whining cause he thinks you’re leaving him :’3
Then he finds us in a corner of another room just curled in on ourselves and we’re scared shitless of him like a cornered animal for a hot second before he’s super gentle in trying to soothe us. it works and möth cuddles in the corner with you :’33
ehehehehe *rubs my silly hands together* angst to fluff is my JAM let's DO THIS
you're not thinking properly when you finally claw your way out of the nightmare and lurch awake, wheezing in horror. the jostling wakes your dear Foul Legacy, chirping tiredly and sitting up to nudge you curiously. he whines in concern when you jump, slowly turning to face him and oh- oh he hates the look on your face, the look of someone scared out of their wits. he tries to hug you, to tell you that everything will be okay, but all you can think of are claws and fangs and tearing flesh and bone, your mind going a mile a minute
with a yelp of fear you scramble out of bed and rush down the hall, away from what your frazzled mind sees as danger. Foul Legacy wails as your footsteps become fainter and fainter, untangling himself from the covers to run after you- you're not leaving, are you?? please don't leave!!
but when Legacy does find you, huddled in a corner with your head buried in your knees, he softens, slowly kneeling beside you and letting out a quiet trill. he whimpers when you initially flinch away, holding out his hands but not touching your skin, and when you hesitantly lean a bit closer he moves to gently ruffle your hair. you let out a hiccupping laugh, playing with his fluff in return, and Legacy eagerly presses his face into your palms, purring like a motor when you scritch behind his horns. he ends up curling around you, his head in your lap as you lean against the wall with a yawn, eyes growing heavy. the nightmare has been chased away, replaced by comfort and warmth, your hand wrapped loosely around one of Legacy's claws
you fall back asleep as the sun rises in the distance, but this time, it's with a smile on your face

I was looking through various trainers PWT-teams, and made an interesting discovery - Crispin shares half of his team with Flannery for some reason and Drayton is somehow even worse in this regard, sharing 2/3 of his team with Lance.
Sure, they have different movesets and items, the battles are in a completely different format, it likely means nothing at the end, but it still stuck into my mind. Like let's imagine for a moment that it does mean something - with Drayton, one could just chug it into him being lazy and copying most of his team from someone he not only idolizes, but has proven that said team works. It could also possibly imply that his Archaludon and Sceptile were some of his first Pokemon, but that's a topic for another time. Crispin honestly has no excuse for copying Flannery though
