I spent some time today trying to get some clear recordings of my own mitral valve murmur, here is the first.
I have had this murmur for years but it is said to be benign although it has got a bit louder as time has gone on. Docs are aware, in fact it was only commented on medically when I had a medical for a job - although I had heard it for myself beforehand. The old doctor there did the usual stuff but then asked me to do a load of sit-ups after which my heart was fit to burst! As I laid down on my back I could hear it pounding in my ears and see the ripples going down my chest and stomach. He spent ages listening to all areas of my heart but mostly concentrating on the mitral area, in fact that episde made me feel very uncomfortable.
Hopefully you can hear the swoosh in between the first and second heart sound. What you think? Can post another, perhaps clearer recording of it. As me anything - DM's welcome as I'm really getting back into this again.
Alrighty my loves, I've recently been gifted this lil nugget, Prince. My furphew. Not being well taken care of. Too skinny. No vet visits. He's so sweet and playful. And super clumsy 🥺😍 he deserved a safe clean home for now.
My sister took him to get neutered at a clinic who does it for free on certain dates.
Turns out he has a heart murmur. He can't have the surgery.
I have most of the money, but need a little extra to get what he needs done. Shots (he's never been vaccinated), tests to check his murmur out to see how we proceed. It's an extra expense I didn't foresee, however, I couldn't leave him living in a dirty litter box, not fed enough, and not having his regular vet visits.
I hate to ask as I had to with Po. You were all gracious. Even just sharing this will help. I'm sorry.
I don't need much.

Even just sharing would help. I'd be so grateful.
Edit: to those asking. GoFundMe takes a percentage out and it isn't immediate. He is unvaccinated and I have 2 cats that could be impacted by this. I need to get all of this done ASAP.

In this series, each Friday, I want to share a different child or group of children with you who are available for adoption and listed through the adoption advocacy website Reece’s Rainbow. All the kids who are listed…
Recording 14. Afternoon. Recorded right over mitral while and just after shifting very heavy stuff outside. Exersise really increases my mitral murmur.
Warning the recording includes movement noise.
I had a variety of jobs to do both at my desk and some strenuous stuff outside that I knew would give me and my heart a workout. I had a Stemoscope strapped to my chest and recorded random samples throughout the day.
Heart murmurs are aberrant noises produced by the heart that might be innocuous or indicate an underlying cardiac illness. There are two kinds of cardiac murmurs: harmless and pathological. Innocent heart murmurs are frequent in children and do not require treatment; however, aberrant heart murmurs might be caused by heart valve disease, congenital heart anomalies, or chamber difficulties. Symptoms of heart murmurs vary depending on the underlying cause, with harmless murmurs usually creating no symptoms. Symptoms of abnormal cardiac murmurs may include chest pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, or weariness. If you are having any of these symptoms, you should get medical attention. Physical examinations and echocardiograms are two diagnostic methods that can help determine the cause of heart murmurs. Not all cardiac murmurs cause symptoms, and others may be completely harmless. If you have any concerns or symptoms about your heart's health, you should visit a doctor.
Heart murmurs are widespread and typically innocuous, but they may indicate an underlying heart condition that requires medical care. A cardiac murmur is an abnormal sound heard during a heartbeat that can vary in pitch and intensity. Some heart murmurs are harmless and cause no symptoms or health problems, but others may suggest heart valve disease, congenital heart defects, or other cardiovascular difficulties.
