Reintegration has no real logic

I am under the belief that the writers simply made this up. They wanted to kill off Flynn but give him a “noble death” so they made reintegration as from what we know of system physics and just world building this straight up should not be a thing.

Reintegrate into what exactly? Nothing on the grid, not even clu is “Of Flynn” it’s not like he took his own Dan and made clu or anything. He is not “apart” of him but made in the likeness it’s in clus name! Codified likeness utility. Reintegrate into what?! Yes I do believe coding works differently from inside the grid than out but that still would not justify whatever the hell they exactly wanted this to be.

In a sense I get it. It’s more symbolic of Flynn accepting his own mistakes, ego and foolishness in his younger years (as the bridge conversation makes it so clear he’s still not actually listening to Clu 2.0 at all). It’s also a way to wipe/hard reboot the system… basically to get rid of this grid as I have a feeling they’ll just go back to the Encom system so might as well wipe out this one. Which makes me all the more pissed on them never adressesTron past 2 times and then essentially leaving him to get blasted/forgetting he’s a character. Even though it might be the symbolic answer it still leads to a dissatisfying and unneeded character death?

But at the end of the day I’m much more of a Encom/classic system person, I’m still trying to understand the grid and what exactly he was thinking in the first place. Does anyone more into legacy have a better answer, or would it be equally dissatisfying and your just as confused over this.

I know it’s international asexuality day and we’re supposed to be proud of being ace and all. But idk. That’s hard when I really really hate that I’m ace. Being a cisgender heteroromantic sex-repulsed ace is not exactly a fun or positive experience for me. It is just me feeling lonely and defective and wrong all the fucking time. Like that’s genuinely great for all the aces and aro people out there who love it and can take pride in it. You’re valid and you’re not broken and I’m happy for you that you can embrace and celebrate this part of your identity, I genuinely am. But for me personally, I would give just about anything to not be ace, I hate it so much. Being ace has never not once done a single good for me.
