Character Ask: Ziggy Grover

First Impression

-Definitely falling under the average green ranger stereotype of being the silly but less engaged member of the team, though that is quite alright cause he'll probably give some positivity to the team due to the state they are in via the season

How I Feel About The Character/Impression Now

-.....I love this twink and honestly me and everyone else should love him, the fact that he was in a mafia, managed to escape, gave medicine and supplies from said group to orphans in needed AND GOT OFF SCOT FREE WITH HIS TOASTER BOYFRIEND speaks volumes.

Favorite Moment

-So far has to be that scene between him and the cartel where he's got that serious face, I'll have to go back and fully complete RPM but seeing Ziggy look so cold is amazing.

Idea For A Story

-okay think of this....Ziggy as a Peter Pan type character who was reborn in another world that raises orphans or children who've passed early and they live in this alternate world with magic, at the same time he's an assassin that's teaming up with Dillon and Tenaya(who also have powers based on fairy tales) to steal ancient treasure from a tyrant king in order to rule the rule, Once Upon A Time walked so this can run.

-Ziggy/Dillon....obviously, can't have a happy twig without his grumpy muscular emo boyfriend.

-Ziggy/Scott, Ziggy/Flynn. Both these work really well in my opinion.

-Crackship idea if this crossover was ever a thing...Ziggy/Jarrod/Dillon/Casey, imagine all that chaos together with those four like(I'd pay to see a one shot of this tbh). Heck not even a crossover needed because JKP exists in the RPMverse and assuming the entire team is alive then this could fly, crazy twinks and the emo duo.

BROTPs

-Ziggy/Dr.K, honestly feel like he understands Dr.K and they are really close when it comes to hearing each other out, plus Ziggy might actually get her to enjoy some hobbies.

-Ziggy/Casey...seriously Disney fucked us over from ever getting this interaction, be happy with marvel I guess but imagine the send off you could've had.

-Ziggy/Tenaya, she needs earplugs every time he talks about Dillon...

Unpopular Opinion

-Kinda wish we got even more of a backstory for him or seen Ziggy encountering other green rangers. I feel like both him and Trip would get along quite well to be honest.

One thing I wish would/had happened in the show

-....We serious? That Jungle Fury/RPM crossover obviously because ALL THOSE INTERACTIONS AND SUCH WOULD'VE BE LEGENDARY.

-Even if he didn't end up with Dillon we should've had Ziggy kissing some guy.

-Imagine a scene of Ziggy hacking Venjix down with his axe after he found out the program's intention for Dillon, or if Venjix succeeded and Dillon died...it would've been brutal like Ziggy would be shown Venjix why the cartel kept him around🗡🗡🗡🗡🗡

Headcanons

-The RPM team technically has sentient zords because in reality they hold secret Engine Souls like their Go-Onger counterparts. This is actually a result of humanity evolving and without the vitality from Earth's nature so their animal spirits evolved into Engine Souls, thing is the team hasn't unlocked them but when they do the zords will be able to talk(a little fib of my JFAU movie arc idea with RPM cause we deserve that crossover).

-Ziggy's fingernails can turn dark green because of Venjix exposure, some humans after being exposed to the virus during their apocalypse developed small traits via their survival(Scott having sharper canines, Summer being able to detect metals for tools, Flynn when growing out his hair has white highlights and can absorb radiation, Gem and Gemma can see people's dreams and Dillon can purify dirty food and water).

-Ziggy sleeps with a huge dolphin as a pillow or just something to hold whenever he's sad. If he can't morph then he'll fill it with rocks and beat down venjix monsters with it.

-Sometimes when he would leave the dome(before the world began to return to normal) he'd walk miles until making it to the ocean since it wasn't fully destroyed and enjoyed watching the waves. Plus that spot is the only one in the world where the stars in the sky are still viewable.

-After RPM Dillon, Tenaya and Ziggy ventured out into the world to see what needed to be fixed, they built a railroad and it oddly began to glow with energy. This led to the team getting powers via trains and soul power with imagination, humanity's will to keep going(ToQger adaption), villains born from the deceased malice of humanity aim to take advantage of this world and others leading to the team having bigger stakes than last time.

okay well, he and dick would get along super well. both are chatterboxes, both get serious when they need to be. both enjoy being acrobatic. peter would also laugh at just about every one of his little word game things he does. i think they'd also be able to bond over the loss of their parents and uncle. obviously I think that peter and dick would be bffs in any universe thanks to @fightwing like it'd actually be such an important relationship for peter.

wally - I think they'd get along due to both being science geeks (though peter is much better fight me on it) he'd think wally was pretty cool though, probably wonder how seriously he takes being kid flash too cause he'd see him as a bit of a goofball.

kaldur - he would actually really like kaldur, the way he's so dedicated and doesn't tolerate any bologna. it's a bit of a contrast to how peter takes being spider-man, he appears as a nonchalant person who is having fun. but underneath it all, it's a serious dedication and something peter considers to be the most important thing he does. pete would like him and wanna get to know him more.

m'gann - he'd think she's kind and caring, be a bit worried about having his mind read cause when he's younger he has more than a little guilt and pain he's carrying around. he'd probably spend more time learning about her bioship and trying to study it tbh fjaksldj

conner - if we're talking about superboy in the show, he'd probably not be the biggest fan of him. he'd slightly partial cause he has a soft spot for clones (obvs) but he'd also get tired of his temper real quick. also it's hard for me to say he'd be close to that interpretation of conner when @supermantm and I have pete and kon being besties jfaksdj.

and obviously you and I have talked a lot about how he and artemis would get along hehe

*just a warning that there is a quick mentioning of being caught having sex by the pack! but no detail at all!*

Dating Derek Hale Hc's:

° okay, right off the bat, this man is soooo protective of you. he's never gonna let anything hurt you (or at least he's gonna try to ensure that).

° heart eyes mother fucker! derek has this look in his eyes that he only reserves for you and everyone (cough cough! stiles!) always brings it up but Derek genuinely just denies it point blank every single freaking time. (his eyes have this soft warmth to them whenever they gaze at you. it's super sweet.)

° you're certainly one of the people that he's playful with and the pack really enjoy seeing this side of derek more often. you help him feel less alone and teach him how to love more deeply. you're also much healthier for him than his other past relationships - *i'm looking at you kate and jennifer!*

° he'd literally do anything for you oml. derek's always doing whatever he can to help you out, although sometimes he may be slightly awkward if you're vulnerable and there are a lot of feelings on the table. over time he really gets better at feeling comfortable with vulnerability when it comes to you and others. anger isn't his main emotion any more, because there isn't as much pressure riding on his shoulders from being an alpha.

° whenever there's trouble afoot, derek wants to get you on the next plane out of beacon hills. he's not hot on the idea of you fighting against anything - even if you're supernatural or can defend yourself -. however, if you're dead set on it, he can't force you onto the plane...

° this then leads to derek understanding that he can trust you to not only handle your own corner, but you've also got his back. it's both anxiety inducing and a relief.

° so expect an overprotective derek to tag along with you. He's shielding you every chance he gets, especially if it has anything to do with explosions, cars, etc. derek doesn't fuck around.

° honestly, you end up saving him more often than not bc he's reckless™. but who's keeping score right? haha everyone!

° y'all tease each other all the time and flirt, the pack are kinda grossed out.

° "okay, who switched out Sour Wolf for the Love Puppy?" stiles snapped, pointing at derek.

° "you've got two seconds to take that back or i'm ripping your throat out with my teeth." derek snarled.

° "easy tiger! there will be no ripping of any teenage throats!" you smarted, getting in between the pair.

° "are you seriously taking his side on this?" derek grumbled down at you, disgruntled and quite frankly, offended.

° honestly, derek loves being affectionate with you - at least secretly that is -. altho it took some time to warm up to the idea and for him to get to know you. warmth and closeness doesn't come naturally to derek. it takes a long time for him to be comfortable around you, but tbh the time it took really paid off because now you've got this man absolutely wrapped around your finger.

° you never seemed to ever give up on derek - even when he was a terrible alpha and did things he wasn't proud of due to his survivors guilt, being afraid and stressed out, etc. he doesn't excuse his behaviour, but he's glad you were one of the people that remained true to themselves and supported him; even if it was just from a distance.

° cora absolutely loves you!

° liam tends to follow you around a lot bc you put stiles in his place a lot and it is his greatest form of entertainment. stiles genuinely gets this one deadpan look from you and he backs off. liam dubs this as your party trick, but it freaks stiles out bc "oooooh look who's trying to be scary all of a sudden~"

° dude you gotta listen to derek and stiles bitch about each other and you're literally that fucking ben affleck meme of him smoking a cigarette and rolling his eyes bc pls stfu already!

-piercings. literally any piercings. his favorites are nose, eyebrow, and belly button ones, but really whatever it is, he can’t get enough of them.

-keeping a slightly messy room. an unmade bed, a cup or two on the bedside table, books or magazines strewn about. he likes when it looks like an actual person lives there, and not perfectly neat and orderly.

-in tate’s room we can see he has heaps of books everywhere, so he’s pretty well-read, and that’s a trait he loves in other people. if you make a book reference or mention a book you read in passing, he’s practically drooling.

-people who can stop and enjoy life. kit doesn't like it when someone is always moving onto the next thing, he wants to take his time and appreciate the moment.

-when people hum/whistle or sing quietly to themselves. if you're doing something and humming while you do it, he thinks it's the cutest thing ever. he'll probably join in and start singing too.

-glasses. he finds something about them really cute. if he sees you push your glasses further up or adjust them, he's in love. he's also obsessed with taking your glasses off or pushing them up to kiss you.

-humbleness. being in a frat and constantly surrounded by college partygoers, a lot of the people around him tend to be conceited or overly self-confident, so when a person can admit their wrongs and own up to their faults, he finds it very admirable.

-when people work hard for their grades. he also cares about his schoolwork a lot, so when he sees other people who are the same, he's already imagining the study dates you could have together.

-artists. whether its drawing, painting, playing music, acting, dancing, writing, whatever it is, he loves it. he'd love to see the process of you creating your art, and he'd gladly be your muse.

FRANKEN KYLE SPENCER

-maternal qualities. he never had a good mother figure in his life, so if you can offer him empathy and unconditional love, he will do his best to return it.

-similar to kit, he likes when people sing. when you sing to him, even if you aren't good, focusing on your voice helps calm him down.

-patient people. he has a hard time expressing his thoughts and what he feels, so he loves it if you're willing to sit with him and work through it.

JIMMY DARLING

-confident people. when he sees someone who knows their worth, he's already gearing up to go and talk to them. his confidence relies on wearing his gloves, so he'd love to have a s/o who's self-assured enough for the both of them.

-wearing jewelry. it could be any kind of jewelry, and it doesn't matter how many pieces you have or what color or style they are, he just thinks it looks gorgeous and he loves when people wear it.

-dark brown eyes. they're deep and dark and he wants to spend all day getting lost in them.

-painted nails. his favorite is dark red stiletto nails, he finds them very elegant.

RORY MONAHAN

-milfs

-maturity. rory's has immature tendencies, so he likes a person who knows how to have fun, but has their limits, and can keep him in check.

-small tattoos. he doesn't care if they have meaning or not, he thinks they're very beautiful regardless.

PRE-CULT KAI ANDERSON

-nerdy type people. kai is that way himself, and he doesn't want to feel inferior to his s/o.

-not wearing makeup/minimal makeup. kai's kind of an incel, so he's definitely the type to say he likes "natural girls"

-freckles. he thinks it's something small but very attractive.

CULT KAI ANDERSON

-maternal/paternal qualities, but not for the same reason as kyle. kai wants someone who can mother/raise his child, who he believes to be the messiah, so he likes it when a person shows traits that would be helpful for that.

-purity/innocence. he loves something about knowing that he's the only one you've ever been with. in his head, that gives him power over you.

-and on a much lighter note, people who are good at cooking. kai is definitely a food whore, so when a person can cook, and is willing to cook for him, he's all over it.

PETER MAXIMOFF

-people who can keep up with him. not physically, but peter's mind goes 100 miles a minute, and he needs someone who can handle it. usually people don't listen to his rambles or random thoughts, so he loves when people do.

-chubby people. he thinks they're sooo attractive, to the point that they fully make him nervous when he talks to them. he doesn't have any specific reason for it, he's just always found it very alluring.

-people with similar music taste to him. he loves that you can share his walkman and listen to music together without disliking any songs.

I'll be frank, I didn't get to watch the last season. Which I'm planning to rectify. (When it was coming out my Grandma was still alive and it scared her so I didn't get to watch it... and then we got rid of cable..>.>; )

HOWEVER, I really really really love Once Upon a Time! My Favorite Villain is

When this arc was coming out I lived in the apartment and I talked about Peter Pan so much my roommate hung a Peter Pan picture on my door (right next to Jack Frost....>.>.... :) ). X3

I LOVE CaptainSwan! I think the only pairing with Emma I would have liked just as much was Pinocchio, if they'd left him as an adult. TT.TT

Jefferson was my favorite character right next to Hook but Jefferson would have definitely reigned at the top if he'd been in more. (I miss Jefferson so much.)

Neverland was my favorite arc too!!! I wish it had gone on just a little longer than it had, though I know I heard several people saying that they didn't enjoy Neverland. Which I never understood. Because it's amazing. I LOVE LOVE how sweet Snow and Prince Charming are. And just so many other elements of the show. Mr. Gold is a fun character too and I could just go on an on about how much I love Regina... don't get me started. LOL NOW THEN for Levi. I DID put him in Storybrook but I honestly don't ever replace existing characters I work around them and incorporate the characters I want to introduce into the story so they can all exist in the same space, and that's always been fun for me. Now when I did it I was rping with a friend and (to make a very long story much shorter) he is canon (sort of adjacent) Levi who winds up getting sucked into the curse by accident since he was in the area and other not complicated things but it'll take me a long time to describe. I can dm you about it if you want to hear me rant and rave. I applied his Ackerman blood to the situation so he was still himself and very confused as to why he was carrying an ID around that wasn't his name and "married" to a person he didn't know. Anywho if I were to do it again I'd have to say I might make him either own a cafe or possibly an accountant. What would you have him do? I have so much fun with these! I can honestly see it. If he owns a cafe it's not just a tea shop so it's not exactly what he wanted but also kind of is? He'd probably be fairly happy with that one actually, while if he were an accountant I could see him making decent money but I can't see him enjoying it at all.

Grading every Peter Lorre character from a movie I've seen on a scale of 1-10. Part 1

Note, these grades are mostly relative to eachother since I enjoy pretty much all Peter Lorre characters and if I was grading each character individually, it'd pretty much just be a bunch of 10s

•Hans Beckert-M(1931)

4/10. If this list was about which of Peter's films are objectively the best or most important to film history, this would probably be the best grade, but as far as which characters I personally enjoy the most, the best directing and acting in the world ain't gonna make me blorbofy someone who gets off to child murder. Least of all in such a grounded and harsh film

•Abbott-The Man Who Knew Too Much(1934)

Ok it never even occurred to me until just now, but these are interesting characters to have back to back. Not only does Abbott also attempt to murder a child like Beckert-although without any known prior success, but unlike Beckert who at least claims to be full of remorse and disgust over his actions, Abbott couldn't seem to care less about the sanctity of life and innocence. And yet, I'm much more eager to blorbofy Abbott. Why is that? I suppose there are a few main reasons Abbott is easier to like than Beckert.

The first being that Beckerts whole speech about how he's haunted by the ghosts of the mother's and the children and how he hates that evil inside him could be total B.S. We never see Beckert so clearly riddled with guilt or self loathing when he's alone. The only negative emotions Beckert displays over his actions when he's not around people who suspect him is a fear of getting caught and the letters he sends the police combined with the famous mirror scene are potential evidence that he enjoys his infamy. If he doesn't truly regret his actions and tbh even if he does, at least Abbott knows he's a murderous bastard and doesn't cry about how its not his fault when he gets caught

Secondly, while Beckerts whole goal is to kill for whatever sick gratification it gives him, for Abbott, a child-or anyone potentially dying is just part of his greater plan. Yes, he's still pretty flippant about murder and you can argue about if that makes him better or worse in a real world setting than someone who kills kids just to kill kids, but(seemingly) feels bad about it, but at least in the case of Abbott, where Betty would be alive and unharmed if everything had gone according to his plan and hes not specifically targetting children, I'm inclined to prefer a character for whom the potential death of a child is the means and not the end

OK with all that Abbott apoligism out of the way, let's get onto why I really like him

Edgy scar. White streak in his hair. Long trench coat. Stupid childish sense of humour combined with diabolical sophistication. He smokes two cigarettes at once. He'd kill me in a heart beat, but I would protect him at all costs

8/10. He brings me so much joy that I hate to make it so low, but again, I'm comparing these characters to eachother and don't want to grade them all tooo high
