I am an adult, my age is 21

I am a bigender woman with she/her and he/him prounous, and am perfectly fine with being called either or hehe (you can also call me dude or bro)

I have sensory processing disorder, and possibly a form of adhd (spd was verified by psychologist, and me and my parents think I got adhd from how some of my quirks work)

I am pan, all genders are beautiful, a trans ally, and therian ally! In my eyes, as long as who you are doesn't hurt others or yourself, then you are free to be you!

I adore stories that have animal characters, monsters, dinosaurs, mythical creatures, nature aesthetic and vibes, anything of the sort! Mushrooms are one of my absolute favorite little beings, they're just so cute☆

Horror is one of my favorite genres, with how you can bend designs and make things creepy or scary. Fav colors are dark purple, black, blues, greens, and brown, and I am a practicing artist. I've made some good things, but I can definitely grow in my craft, and I certainly plan to.

I want to be a novelist, just gotta work through some life stuff to get there. I try to be a positive force, as there's already plenty of negativity going around, and I don't want to be all doom and gloom. Just not how I roll dude.

Projects I'm Working On!

Wof: A Fierce Legacy: Au where Fierceteeth becomes queen after proving herself to Glory against other candidates. After some time, she has three dragonets: Two sons named Shadowglider and Sharpmind, and one daughter named Direclaws, who hatched under two blood moons. Now Fierceteeth has to grapple with the fact her daughter will one day challenge her for the throne... and Direclaws has to grapple with seeing that future.

Wof Legends: Alternate Past: Legitimately was made to give poor Foeslayer a better IceWing husband, then I noticed how much would change, so it's gonna be interesting alright xD It's also gonna be huge. Lots of stuff to cover.

Wof: A Moon Taken By Rain: A curious idea I had for an au where Secretkeeper wasn't there on time, thus Moonwatcher is taken and raised by a RainWing named Macaw. Also RainWings get a big rework, because I think it would be more interesting if they weren't uh... well what they are in book three lol. Don't get me wrong, I love my hippie dragons, but I think it would be better if did have a queen earlier on who whipped them into shape.

Wof: RainWing Succession: The story here is that Queen Grandeur of the RainWings has six daughters, and all of them want the throne for various reasons. The sisters are:

Princess Abundance, Princess Blissful, Princess Cassytha, Princess Divine, Princess Felicity, and Princess Luxurious.

Only one of these dragons is worthy of the throne, and she will have to work for it... and find out why one of her sisters has mysteriously disappeared.

This is gonna be a precursor to the Moon Taken By Rain story!

Tmnt: Beast's Embrace: Something I've been playing with for years lol. It is an Au that goes more in depth into what all mutagen can do, where it came from, and how it effects mutants, on more than one plane of existence. It's a bit of a mix of ninja turtles and Bloodborne, hence why it's called Beast's Embrace.

The brothers are quite different from their more canon selves too, because I feel like it be more interesting and make it stand out.

Mike is the oldest at 19, and the leader of the team, therapist, and the main muscle. He is still goofy and fun loving, but also much more serious and level headed, and quite noble. He is based on the Big Headed Turtle.

Raph is the second oldest at 19, though a couple months behind Mike, and he is second in command, helping plan out strategies, along with being a mechanic, often helping Don. He is more stoic, with a calm energy, though is also very brutal when out fighting. He is based on the Northern River Terrapin.

Don is third eldest at 16, and is the doc and brains when it comes to anything mutagen related, robots or chemistry. He is the most severely mutated due to using mutagen he carefully made to make himself "better", and more himself. Very eccentric, his default expression is a smile, and it takes a lot to make him change expression. He makes a lot of friends. He is based on the Roti Island Snake Neck Turtle.

And finally, Leo is the youngest, at 16, being a couple months younger than Don. He is the fastest and most stealthy, able to sneak in just about anywhere. He is very morbid and sadistic, but grows to be noble and just, as he looks up to Mike. He is based on the Bog Turtle.

Hi, hi, thank you for the fuel! <3 I'm sure they would. The dndhat gang is pretty lovable and they'd definitely hit it off with the ER cast.

Edgin would definitely be buds with Godwyn, I think. Godwyn seems to me like the shining sun of the Golden Order, and I believe he would like singing and generally having fun. Holga would join them sometimes, thought she'd mostly chat with Fia/Fortissax and Lansseax (and really only after she learns that they are dragons).

Holga would also hit it off with Malenia and Radahn, probably more with Radahn. Both demigods would occasionally try and talk about tactics and whatnot, and Holga would just stare at them blankly. What use are tactics when you're skilled enough to 1v10? Just fight until you win, stupid.

Kira would be friends with Miquella and Finlay. I think Kira would bring out Miq's mischievous side, and Fin would be running behind them, complaining but actually liking the triviality of it all.

Simon would get adopted by Rennala. And I think he'd grow close to Ranni, joining her little gang, despite her doing her usual "oh, noes, I'm so cold and evil" facade. Simon is too smart and lovable for Ranni to manage to keep the evil act for too long.

Doric would be pals with Melina and Blaidd. No, not just because I want my fav characters to be friends. I think all three enjoy not being in the spotlight of their friend groups, and would probably just like watching the chaos from the sidelines. All three are the mom-friends.

Xenk would be friends with Godwyn and Miquella. All of them work for the betterment of their regions, so they'd bond over that probably.

Sofina is hard to pick someone for... I don't think she's as sadistically evil as Mohg is, and Marika is too regretful for Sofina to like her. Maybe she'd be friends with the younger Marika, the one that was conquering and stepping on everyone to reach godhood.

And Forge is best friends with Patches, I think there's nothing to explain here.

5 - how far is your oc willing to go to get what they want?

Virthik will go pretty far, but once it gets too inconvenient or dodgy he tends to split off of whatever the original idea was, and try and do it himself. Or he just gives up on it all together, if it’s not super consequential. Path of least resistance and all that

Farlian refuses to hurt friends and aquaintances she likes, and prefers to not mess with regular people, especially when they’re just kinda normal n well mannered. She’s pretty good at persuasion tho, so it’s much easier to avoid killing/hurting people

Zuft’zahr can and will drain you of your life savings if it’s important enough, and has enough contacts to get what he wants when he wants it. He just prefers less extreme stuff so he doesn’t have to write as many letters.

6 - how easy could your oc be convinced to do something that goes against their morals?

Virthik has. Questionable morals to begin with, but he won’t cross the boundaries that he does have for almost anything. He’s gotta draw a line in the sand somewhere, even if it’s a little bit weird and scraggly and too deep in some places

Farlian can be convinced, it just takes a lot of time and energy. If it’s presented well enough she could be tricked, but whatever is done would have to be fast so she couldn’t ponder too long.

Zuft’zahr has also got arguably questionable morals, he’s just a little more flexible with it. If there’s a good reason to go against what he feels is right he’ll do whatever is needed, but he doesn’t like crossing his boundaries too much. He’d much rather look over all the options for hours before making a decision over taking someone’s word for what it is. Which he has done before lol his fav shout is slow time for a reason

9 - do you have a specific lyric or quote you associate with your oc?

Hsgdhshsjs oh boy do I. I have so many. So so so many. I will only list a few but I have almost every song on my liked playlist(600+ songs) assigned to at least 1 character

Ok so farlian I associate with a lot of dirt poor robins songs, mostly the songs All There Is(deluxe edition), Enchanté, To The Heights, and Babylon. Ofc there are quite a few but I am also a little biased bc they’re amazing. The lyricist is what I imagine she would sound like, so it’s a very hard task to choose just one lyric. I’m sure I have a quote assigned to her somewhere but I have like 13 different oc info storage places and I would not be able to find it in a reasonable time lol

I associate Virthik with a lot of moodier ajr songs, like The Good Part and The Dumb Song, but that may be a little bit of projection when I feel frustrated haha. I also associate him with some rock songs like paper machete, little sister, what the peephole say, friends in low places, etc. generally more angry+loud stuff or sad mad stuff, if that makes sense.

I don’t have near as much for Zuft’zahr, unfortunately, but I know for a fact he would listen to lemon demon songs a LOT. And maybe some of The Correspondents

21 - does your oc have any illnesses or disorders? How do they handle it?

Virthik has got some chronic shit going on just kinda. All over. Turns out turning into a fucked up gutted dragon semi frequently really takes a toll on the body. It’s not too bad all the time, but it’s normally semi evident. When it flares up he mostly just tries to avoid the northern parts of Skyrim, so the cold doesn’t exacerbate it. He’s also trying to make some potions to help out some,

He’s also got anxiety, ‘specially in often populated spaces like dragonsreach and the bigger cities. He definitely prefers hanging with the dragur and dwarven automata. he’d rather die than admit it, but it’s definitely there. Most of the time it’s manageable but sometimes just skipping a crowded area for a few hours is best. Hes also been trying to do breathing excercises, since he found out about the whole Dragonborn thing. It’s mostly for the shouts, but it helps with the anxiety too.

Farlian has whatever flavor of adhd that I have and doesn’t really focus on any one thing fully, but like. I’m not diagnosed by anyone other than my friend who has it, so take that with a cup of salt. She just gets all of my not sad brain juice, so whatever I have she has.

Zuft’zahr has a glaring lack of issues compared to virthik especially, but his role in the big metaphorical picture is ‘the reference material’ or the grounding force. So he’s meant to be like taking a step back, grabbing a bite to eat and a nap, and looking at your problem again in a few hours with a clear mind. He gets to be a little bit more ‘normal’ because of that

I’m always trying to learn more abt different mental stuff, but If I don’t know about it in great depth I won’t add it to a character explicitly. Makes it hard to simulate their character if I don’t know exactly how their brain works, yk?

....aaaaand that’s a wrap!! this was my first cyl and it was a ton of fun. biggest triumph was soren, biggest disappointment was reyson...my votes for soren didn’t end up mattering, but if I’d cast them all for limstella they’d only have ended up 1 1/2 spaces higher tied with jeritza...although that would’ve put them at a higher ranking than last year, dang. what really stings is that the four votes I did use didn’t move them up at all. but, of course, there was no way to know that.

with the way things shook out, very earliest inclinations might be to vote for lucius next year. it was very fun getting swept up in one of the popular votes, but I might prefer casting votes where it was make a tangible difference. obv will still vote for limstella if they’re not in yet.

This is my generic duck feels playlist I use when writing but I often have so many other playlists I use it's insaneeee but this is a nice beginning base until I get a feel for a story to make its own playlist haaaa. 

**Joywave - Bad Dreams*** 

-Ominous feel that some shady end of the world stuff is happening song. One of the main things I put this song to is Magica having a premonition of something bad is going to happen. But she doesn’t have the best rep with powerful magic types and with hero types so she has to make a ragtag team willing to help her. Haaa. Mind you in my headcanon the De Spell family line started by a witch that had a really good future sight so Magica takes it seriously and I GUESS she has to like… stop the world from ending. 

**M83 ft. HAIM - Holes in the Sky***

-Another ominous oh crap bad stuff is happening song wheee. I had an idea that I ended up using in a Duckverse RP of some of the alien hats from Darkwing being a different set of alien hats that were actual powerful witches. The RP I ended up having was for a parody of Hocus Pocus. What I attach this song to is where the hat set grab Magica, Gladstone, and an OC thats a powerful De Spell sibling (that's a whole other story.) That leaves Poe to defeat them save the Earth the usual. My headcanon for Poe is he cannot cast magic but has a wide knowledge of artifacts and spells. Could arm himself with some good magical artifacts. He ALSO would make a ragtag team to try to stop the 3 most powerful magic based people controlled by alien hats. That team would include Fethry and Gyro lol. Notice this song is a lot more postive than Magica’s Bad Dreams song because Poe’s being more positive about getting it done. Magica’s more ‘well we’re going to die anyways might as well TRY” and Poe is ‘ WE’RE GONNA DO THIS AND WE’RE GONNA MAKE IT OMG. Once I get over this crippling depression that I’m useless. Whee.”

**Do You Realize - Ursine Vulpine***

-Vague sad song for sad things. Main reason I had this song is for my Mighty Ducks the Animated Series headcanons for Drake Ducaine. I pretty much kill off all this family and friends in the past. You know, the war, saving stuff. SACRIFICING THEMSELVES SO HE CAN LIVE. His young daughter makes it. Am I not merciful. 

**My Tears are Becoming the Sea - M83***

-Really acidy trippy sad song. Great for fighting elder gods. For my main RPing OC’s on Duckverse this goes with some scenes of their past. Other main thing I use it for is Mighty Ducks the Animated Series I have it for Wildwing’s death.. Haaaa. I kill him off in his 60’s when he has to help save the 2nd Gen team (All the kids of the first team.) Well you know. He’s like the only duck chars I kill off ‘youngish.’ I dunno why most of these story ideas came in high school FRICK. 

**In A Heartbeat - In the House***

-I have loved this song from the second it was in 28 Days Later. I do not have one defined story line plot or character this goes to. I would put it on every song list I had if I felt like I could get away from it. EXCELLENT ATMOSPHERE.

**The Darkest Evening of the Year***

-Another great ominous atmosphere song. I stick this one with Gladstone but don’t put it on my actual Gladstone playlist for being too dark?!? I put it with him finding out what I headcanon the origins of his luck. AND OH BOY. I really want to give the vibe of that scene like some suspense/horror energy let me tell you.

**No Time for Caution - Hans Zimmer***

-Great like, ‘team prepares to fight a boss fight’ type music. Let's do this. We can fight an elder god. LETS GO!!!! But still that bit of dark tone like - hmmm we may not be successful. Ahhhhh.I also think of Tanya from Mighty Ducks working late fixing something or lawd taking care of a teammate gotta find a cure for something. They just gave this woman all the jobs. AGH. 

**Happiness Does Not Wait - Olafur Arnalds***

-A sad yet happy tune. That mix of energy. This one I put with Grandma Duck. In my headcanon all her adult kids have since past but you know all her grandkids visit all the time. It's kinda weird that like, the whole gen in between was wiped out but uh, I have a reason plotted out for that. But you know, Grandma little sad all her kids are gone but sees them in her now adult grandkids ahhh. 

**Low Gravity - Hugo Kant***

-Actually ModMad suggested this one to me when I shared this playlist with them when they made the “Over the Rainbow’ comic. Shared it because it really fit this playlist so I could not  not share ahhh. Anyways. That's one of my top fav comics by Modmad, and actually in an unrelated way inspired some of the backstory for the two main OC’s I RP in Duckverse. Wheeee.

-A good ominous ‘the hero has won but at what cost’ energy. This is a song I’ve had for ages and directly put to the abuse I put Drake Ducaine through. I’m so sorry. Weh. I literally have a separate playlist that is Drake Ducaine/Wildwing anxiety cuz I headcanon Wildwing the reincarnate of Drake Ducaine because of COURSE. 

**Goodbye to a World - Small Dust/Porter Robinson Cover***

-I just love music like this. First used this song for Mighty Ducks because the previous life of Drake Ducaine I had be a little duck boy that showed kindness to a Saurian Goddess and she ended up taking the Duck side in whatever fight went down and well the rest is history which will I ever write a story for I dunno. And in the next life as Drake Ducaine the Goddess also reincarnated in a mortal body so they get to work together again yay. This is also one of the main themes I use for my Duck OC’s Felicity and Faustina. In RP land uh they’re from an alternate universe that got all ate up by an elder god and they were the only two survivors cuz some weird luck and magic runs in their family. -I use this song several times for Gladstone. Mainly for one story I DO plan to write someday I have so many parts of it done. Anyways he screws up big time and has to fix a problem while he still have luck that works on him, he needs to actually do something to solve the problem and its grueling and takes  a long time and travel around the world and bad stuff just happening to those around him and AHHH. Anyways.  Also a good song for Djinn in new Ducktales theres stories I have reason for his for him let me tell you someday. Ha.

-A great mello fight song for everything. Just. Some good shit. Heroes making sacrifices. Stuff going down. Hidden powers having to be used getting exposed but you GOTTA SAVE THE WORLD.

-Roll Credits energy to a movie that ended not happy but not sad just the normal in between of life. There is a really good Poe De Spell short story I need to finish that makes me think of this song. I also put it to Drake Ducaine who supposedly dies of old age having saved and rebuilt Puckworld Society. That's a lot of pressure to put on a guy y’all. Also fits my abuse of reincarnate trope abuse. Also for some Djinn x Gene okay like they’re gonna adopt a lot of kids and all those kids are going to write stuff down to their kids like how Djinn writes stuff down and they’re gonna tell stories of their great great great great great grandparents Djinn and Gene forever OKAY.

➤STRENGTHS: determined, perseverant (is that even a word?), passionate, relentless, protective, observant, straightforward (usually ends up insulting people though, so it's more of a weakness tbh), goal-oriented, independent, self-reliant, has enough self-awareness to not go off on weeb/otaku interests in front of most people, but if it's like a "smart" anime, she'll discuss it (like Death Note, she's not gonna fucking admit to still loving Naruto at this age, shut up), diligent, loyal, a bad bitch (lol, not so much, but she likes being perceived as a strong girl who can and will stab you with her stiletto. the image only lasts for a few seconds, she more just comes off as rude).

➤WEAKNESSES: stubborn, very blunt, which tends to come off as brash and rude, though she's not always intending to be mean, despite that rude, blunt nature, she's also a bit tsundere, and struggles admitting her to deeper feelings. Gets flustered when complimented (outside of sports, there she's fine 'cause I'm the best bitches, or so she says), and she just can't admit it when she needs someone, whether it be a friend or romantic interest, especially if it's a romantic interest, 'cause she's also of the mind of who needs a boyfriend when there's food? while she's observant when it comes to changes in people's behaviour, she in general lacks the capacity to act well on her observations, and is awkward when trying to comfort someone or cheer them up. When it comes to her own feels, part from rage, annoyance, or "Jock Mode", she can barely admit to them, let alone discuss them with other. Speaking of "Jock Mode", she is competitive AF, somewhat dismissive (this usually only comes out in games, but she tends to ignore weaker opponents in search of stronger ones who pose a challenge). Also tends to display some arrogance in the sports she's most talented it, particularly volleyball. It's not quite a personality flaw, but she's weak for loving parents, or just a loving family in general (in life and when watching movies, it makes her fucking cry every time, which really puts a damper on her tough girl image, it's not usually a visible one, but she can't hide the longing in her face when she watches a parent and their child being a normal, happy family). Definitely has tunnel-vision, once she has a goal in sight, that's all she sees. Can even be paired down to dumb things, like C-grade trashy alien movies. She tends to notice only the aliens and revel in their destruction, while ignoring everything else, including the plot. Has plenty of issues; abandonment, trust, ptsd - none of which she is dealing with. She's just ignoring it and hopes it goes away once she becomes a cool, reliable adult™️ (lol, good luck that, adult life is a lie).

➤SHORT BIO: Katarina is half-Brazillian, half-Russian, though she is under the assumption that she is Romanian, she is biological the daughter of Vasily Raevsky, a Russian Oligarch, and Xuxa Amalia Reis Moreno, a Brazilian businesswoman and all round bad bitch. For reasons unknown to her, Katarina was in effect abandoned at birth and placed in a Romanian orphanage in Brăila, which is also presumed to be her birthplace. Her birth certificate lists both parents as unknown, the orphanage named her. Having no parents or known family, and raised in an orphanage has given Kat many self-reliant skills, and allows her to live independently, but it has also left her with a deep sense of loneliness (not to mention PTSD 'cause Romanian Orphan life is a nightmare). She recognizes that much of her yearning is still childish fantasy, and often covers up that desire with her brash nature or jock hobbies.

Growing up in the orphanage was... not easy. The Brăila Home for Children was not the best, to say the least. Though it could've been worse (*shudders at the case of the Sighetu Marmației institution for disabled children* - do better Romania, oh my god). The orphanage was under and poorly staffed. They would often neglect and abuse the children, one year shaving every childs head so they all looked the same, and often chaining rowdy children to their beds. During Katarina's time, many of her fellow orphans died from minor illness or injuries such as cataracts or anemia, which were treated poorly or simply ignored, and a number also starved to death. Because of this, Katarina has a habit of hoarding food, and keeping snacks under her pillow. She also has difficulty sharing, and despises headboards that are railed(? the ones with gaps, idk what to call them).

When she was around eleven, the orphanage received ample anonymous donations, leading to much improvement, and the arrival of a new Director, Ileana Cojocaru, who, over time, earned the trust of Kat and her fellow orphans, and became something of a surrogate mother. Ileana did a nearly complete staff overturn (fun side note, some of the staff, especially those who harmed Kat have gone missing in the past few years, coincidence? no), as well as hiring accomplished childcare professionals from all over the world to help the children. It was Ileana who sparked Kat's, or rather Rina as Ileana called her,  interest in sports, though Ileana was more into football herself, she encourage Kat to explore whatever she wanted, though particularly team sports so that Kat could foster dependent relations. Kat herself particularly enjoyed volleyball, joining a little league team and winning a number of competitions. Due to her skill both in setting and spiking, she usually plays in the Opposite Hitter position.

Katarina entered EHS in Highschool, on what she assumed to be the Elite's scholarship program, arranged by Ileana, who even said as such, though in truth, her entry and tuition are all being handled by an anonymous benefactor. This fact was revealed to Kat last summer after Ileana died (of p̶l̶o̶t̶ ̶d̶i̶s̶e̶a̶s̶e̶ cancer), whose lawyer was put in charge of the bank accounts meant to pay for all of Kat's needs. The lawyer refused to divulge whom the anonymous benefactor is, citing a non-disclosure clause, though the need to discover who has given Kat a whole new mission in life.

➤FAMILY: On Katarina's part, she doesn't believe she has one, though she does consider Ileana to be her family, and has grown to care somewhat about her fellow orphans from the Brăila Home, while growing up they were rivals struggling to survive. Ileana's death devastated her, and she's dealing with it by straight up ignoring it. Lol, I'm not sad, my eyes are just glistening with the ghosts of my past.

Biologically, despite her complete lack of knowledge of it, Kat comes from rather a rather illustrious family. Her mother, Xuxa Amalia Reis Moreno, is a Brazilian Businesswoman, herself the daughter of a self-made millionaire, Xuxa is expanded the Moreno parent company, MC Inc., an oil and mineral company in origin, into numerous side ventures, owning and operating businesses ranging from restaurants to magazines and clothing lines. Her father meanwhile, Vasily Raevsky, is of the (former) noble House of Raevsky, now oligarchs in modern-day Russia, who virtually control Russia's diamond and precious stone industry, currently owning controlling shares of ALROSA, the largest diamond mining company in Russia, and accounting for 95% of the countries diamond production, as well as 27% of the global diamond extraction, and the House of Fabergé, which they purchased after the fall of the Soviet Union. If she remained in the care of either of her parents, her name would technically be Katarina Vasilyevna Moreno Raevskaya, which is a fun and utterly useless fact.

Her parents met at a rich people conference (idk, Davos or some shit like that) and engaged in a short lived affair. Her father was already married and could not accept her, and her mother had no interest in being a mother at all, let alone a single one, leading to them choosing to give her up in Romania, an arbitrary choice that fucked her up, lol.

Via her father, she has an elder brother, Viktor Vasilyevich Raevsky, who is in fact her anonymous benefactor. Viktor discovered her existence after Vasily had an accident and was close to death, so he confessed his sins and what not. Viktor eventually tracked her down and sought to improve her life. Though he wants to bring her into the family, he doesn't for the sake of his mother who cannot deal with the affair, though she refuses to divorce Vasily for appearances sake.

(◡‿◡✿) 1. favourite game in the series ok... i don’t know if you already figured it out but my total fave is dao. why? maybe is the nostalgic feelings this game gives me or... i played it so many mcfucking times that i just get this hollow feeling inside my chest when i haven’t played it for weeks... idk. the trespasser dlc was spectacular too and gave my lavellan a lot of personality (what i thought the dai base game lacked, bc it made me feel like my inquisitor was an empty shell with no personality, solas’ romance save the dai base game to me tbqh). but... you can create such complex personalities in dao for your warden, and the relationships are so so realistic. i think (dao) is neat lmao. 

2. how did you discover dragon age? before being a dragon age fan i was a dark souls fan; i breath dark souls, i read dark souls, i ate dark souls, i was quite obsessed with dark souls, and before dark souls i was an obsessed skyrim fan (oNLY SKYRIM, not the previous games ashdgjasdgh) and with skyrim that was the first time i made video game oc's, like... they had such complex personalities and i cannot make complex character now... aNYWAY i'm getting carried away: i knew dragon age bc dai was being lunched and ALL the people i followed reblogged stuff about dai, and then i bought dao and loved it!!

One of my fav fics I’ve done to date in any fandom.  Mike is a mercenary dragon trapped in the shape of a human, wandering the Michigan wastes in post-apocalyptic magical America, when he and his Burners get an offer from the mysterious Lord Vanquisher.  T+ at this point for suggestive moments and makeouts. Polyburners/Muckles.  Warnings for the Duke being The Worst, and for Mike being the DUMBEST oblivious thirst-lizard.

The Officer Present//Director Absent series (AKA Live Free and Welcome To The Kane Co Family)

A love letter to the Season 2 that never was, co-written by me and my twin sister toastyhat/HeatedHeadwear!  :D  Live Free chronicles the appearance of a new, menacing super-soldier in Motorcity, the shadowy machinations that led to his appearance and an overarching plan from Kane that could destroy Motorcity–once and for all!!!!!!  Welcome to the Kane Co Family starts shortly after the fallout from the first, with both cities struggling to come to terms with their new reality–but the world is changing and there are new threats on all sides, and if they thought their status quo changed in the first fic, BOY THEY’VE GOT A BIG STORM COMING!! >8Dc  Also Julie punches multiple people and generally kicks ass, it’s fabulousBoth fics are gen, they’re both rated T+ for violence, Evil Science, angst, etc.  Warnings for copious Deluxe worldbuilding, egregious amounts of backstory, a couple OCs I’ve been reliably informed are extremely fun, and chapter titles in the style of anime episode titles, because why not.  :D

Supersynesthesiac

Originally created solely to fill a prompt from a sexy prompt generator, this fic and the world it’s set in both spiralled wildly out of control, and a much more plot-heavy sequel is in the works.  Supersynesthesiac follows Mike Chilton, a vigilante superhero in Detroit Of The Future, as he finally meets his elusive, telepathic partner Blonde Thunder under the most dramatic circumstances possible.  Rated M for psychic makeouts, mind-melding and also there’s sex happening, probably.  It’s not nearly as lovingly described as the mind-meld porn going on in the foreground.  Polyburners is happening in the background, but this fic is basically entirely Muckles.  Warnings for Red being awful.

Rest In Pieces (Come Apart)

Mike is getting entirely out of control, and needs to burn off energy before he can get himself (and everybody else) in trouble again.  Fortunately his gang has a Plan.Rated M for sweet, loving and totally relentless polyburners gangbang.  Warnings for everybody being absolute dorks.  Also bondage and edging, if that’s not your thing. UoU

Werewolves Of Detroit

A series of vignettes exploring the world of Mike Chilton, rogue ex-commander werewolf, his vampire best friend, his highly unconventional pack, and the world they live in. EVERY section is illustrated and I’m very proud.Rated T+, mostly gen with mentions of Dutch/Tennie.  Warnings for Kane being a huge bigot, mentions of KaneCo-mandated surgery, and Texas being an asshole about vampires.   

Exposure Therapy 

Mike has a cool idea for a cool present for his cool boyfriend to totally cure Chuck’s fear of going fast in Mutt.  Rated M for dumb, fluffy smut and implied sex toys.  Warnings for unsafe driving practices.

Kiss And Tell

Somebody came into my askbox and suggested polyburners–but the rest of the city doesn’t know that’s their relationship, just that SOME configuration of Burners is together, and it seems to change CONSTANTLY.   Rated T+ for vaguely-implied possible sex at some point off-screen.  Warnings for nothing, this fic is a perfect warm fluffy representation of my poly-burner feelings and I love it.

Wreck

A little snapshot from an AU I’m not really planning to flesh out–I mostly wanted to capture a certain kind of bittersweet emotional conflict.  Chuck’s doing his best to keep his head down and live through college when a face he hasn’t seen since The Accident shows up at his door.  Vaguely Muckles-ish.  Rated T+ for reference to a nasty car accident and the aftermath, warnings for Kane being, just, Not A Good Dad.  

Override 0

Not exactly an AU, more of a speculative fic about the Burners finding out that Chuck’s enhancements go a lot further than just the weapons systems in his arms.  A realization prompted, of course, by the Duke of Detroit’s thirst for drama.  T+, no pairings.  Warnings for, in the words of AO3′s tag system, “#Loss Of Limbs”, mind control via brain-hacking, and mentions of unethical scientific/surgical procedures.

So Real In The Dark

I challenged myself to write people pining for each other while simultaneously being in a relationship, and a sci-fi AU with an artificial amnesia hookup service turned out to be the solution.  Half a fic about boys being incredibly dumb, and half a fic about trauma, bigotry, coping mechanisms and communication, and how you can love somebody and know them incredibly well and still not really understand them.  Explicit, Muckles, background Dutch/Tennie and Claire/Julie.  Warnings for brief stranger danger, aphrodisiacs, more poor treatment of cyborgs, and emotional gut-punch.

A universe where the Burners are grown-up villains, and the former villains of the canon series are our new teenage heroes.  They’re dysfunctional and weird, but they’re doing their best to protect the clean, orderly, shining city of Deluxe from the gangs and bots and nasty, climbing bots that Ms. Kane sends up from the city below.  UoU  Likely to be rated T+ if I ever post it. Not much in the way of pairings except Ms. Kane’s right and left-hand man are VERY married and VERY tragic because you know I gotta fit Muckles in there.

Warnings for Mike getting really messed up physically, emotionally and psychologically by bad programming and free-will overrides, and also for dumb boys stumbling awkwardly through impromptu sex-ed together.  Muckles.

Experiments In Cross-Species Makeouts by LaughingStones

This one is very hard to explain, because Jem and I like to bounce of each other’s AUs and fics and write derivative fics of fics–there’s an OC in the Live Free/Welcome To The Kane Co Family universe who has what is essentially a nasty brainy kismessisitude/hate-love relationship (not fully explored in the fic, but very fleshed out in my mind, haha) with Chuck.  And this is….those two, but with the races/species from Werewolves of Detroit.  So…supernatural AU Chuck/OC hate-sex.  M, obviously.  Warnings for vampires getting drunk on siren blood and Live Free/WttKCF spoilers.

Gen, T+: I don’t know if it sounds like a compliment to say this is one of the most subtly, gorgeously horrifying fics I’ve ever read, but that’s basically how I feel.  Mike is a kid in a cyborg program, and he keeps ending up in sparring matches with the same kid, over and over again; it’s a different kind of unsettling every time.  There’s something about seeing a scenario that’s obviously intensely messed up, through the point of view of a character who thinks it’s normal and good.  It gives it a special, extra punch.

So, I’m in college, which is a struggle because being an adult, doing classwork, & staying on top of eating, sleeping, interacting, & ensuring I am sane + healthy on a limited schedule with general expectations is kind of a struggle. If you haven’t noticed my activity has been kind of erratic on all my blogs, & I expect it will only get more bumpy as the semester continues, which sucks because everything is already so difficult. But, here’s the thing: I gotta do the thing because I gotta do the thing, no matter my depression & anxiety.

The deal here is I am putting all my blogs on a semi-hiatus as of this post to preserve my sanity & activity both on Tumblr & in the real world. This includes all four of my active accounts: @crowbound, @mentcr, @whistlcr, & @dreadsorrows. 1. What does your character’s name mean? Did you pick it for the symbolism, or did you just like the way it sounded?

Plaio Lavellan - so? his name kinda has symbolism bc one of my friends i call her palio but i often misspell it when i’m typing it so it ends up Plaio and also i just really like the way it sounds when i say it

Kiilani Cadash - i have no clue tbh where i came up with this name? like i think there was a reason but? do not remember. Either way i like it how sounds

3. What would be their favorite physical trait about themselves?

Plaio - his entire face bc he knows hes drop dead gorgeous (he’s the one as my icon rn) but also he is v proud of vallaslin and his Dalish heritage so also that

Kiilani - HER GUNS (arm muscles lmao) bc HELLO SHE CAN JUST FIGHT WHOEVER also PICK UP WHOEVER (Josephine) i mean?? Gotta have some nice arm muscles to swing around a battleaxe that’s 2x ur size, yeah?

5.  Are they sexually confident or more of the shy type?

Plaio - lol he was so shy his first time (with Cassandra) bc he is a nervous cute lil bean and he didn’t really? Know exactly for sure what he was doing bc he had only been with one other person before and it was a man but !! after a few times he is MUCH more confident (thanks Cass) and is more ? open about what he wants

Kiilani - look this girl has no shame when it comes to sex so definitely more confident. she’ll tone it down around Josie tho since she knows Josephine is a bit more… reserved? but believe me. She is confident about what she wants. (Also: she flirts with EVERYONE)

8. What is, perhaps, their biggest flaw? Are they aware of this or oblivious to it?

Plaio - His biggest flaw is that he is too forgiving - in fact, he is able to forgive and forget anything even though it has costed him before. While it is admirable and a good trait to be able to forgive people, he does it to the extent that he (and the Inquisition) gets hurt from it (which, wow same bud). Another flaw of Plaio’s is that he gives everything his 110% like, he will completely exhaust himself (sometimes even to the point of near-death) to achieve his goals. Also he is extremely sarcastic and it sometimes upsets people but that is how he copes with the stress of being Inquisitor is by making jokes

Kiilani - she is definitely the type of person to act first and think/talk later and this has definitely caused some issues especially since she now is a figurehead that is supposed to be civil and responsible. She becomes aware that this is a problem the first time Josie tells her she cant call nobles every insult under the sun and then expect them to make an agreement. 

15. Is there a certain person in this world that they cannot stand? The very mention of this person’s name makes them tremble with anger or fear.

Plaio - He doesn’t remember the name of the person but it was a young, dumb, teenage human noble that decided it would be funny to torment all of Plaio’s clan when he was a younger child (about 6 or 7 years old). The noble brat stole their food, slashed some of the wings on their aravels, broke his first ever bow in half, and spit on his mamae. The asshole and his friend also called the clan every insult imaginable then left - but Plaio still remembers the whole incident. He has never trusted nobles (or humans, really) since then and has always been more cautious around humans. He told Cassandra about it after Empress Celene’s Ball (wicked eyes and wicked hearts. also? I’m pretty sure the ball had an actual name but?? i do not remember it ofc) because she wondered why he was so uneasy (because he hadn’t acted that way around other nobles before, or even acted that way about being the center of attention). So, he explained how the dumb noble brat humiliated him and his clan and how he can handle a noble or a two at a time but? an entire palace? No Thanks.

Kiilani - Beraht. Okay SO SOME HELLA HEADCANON TIME Kiilani is a Cadash and her family was a part of the Carta. Her father and older brothers especially were a part of the Carta and it’s dealings, and they would often smuggle lyrium and other goods on the Surface. However, I headcanon that they still worked with Beraht (!! from Origins lmao) way back in like 9:30-9:31ish Dragon (before the warden, if a dwarf commoner, killed him). One day Kiilani’s father was short on some of the money that he owed Beraht from the lyrium dealings on the surface, and Beraht sent some of his assassins to kill Kiilani’s father and one of her brothers. Kiilani was only about 12 when this happened and she has been angry about it ever since. She had to begin work with the Carta about two years later (as hired muscle, since she refused to smuggle like her father and brothers; still, her mom was disappointed in her for choosing that lifestyle) so that her, her mom, and her other two brothers did not starve. Although she knows that Beraht is dead (if dwarf commoner warden lol idk if he dies otherwise) she still hates him and his name
