sorry i don’t mean to be annoying but him playing four 1D songs and no new song? i’m tired of him continuing to remind everyone about one direction when he’s a solo artist now. that band has been dead since 2016 how does he expect to be taken seriously as an artist
this just in louis tomlinson, member of one direction, can’t play songs from his own former band and be taken seriously as a solo artist at the same time more on this story at 10PM

Louis Tomlinson says ‘it would be criminal’ if One Direction never got back together
Louis Tomlinson may have found his feet as a solo artist, but he’d be ‘gutted’ if a One Direction reunion never happened.
In an exclusive interview with Guilty Pleasures, the former 1D star opened up about finally seeing the light on his sophomore album, Faith in the Future, due for release on November 11.
‘I was excited to go into this second record and make exactly what I wanted to make, without worrying about other opinions and what I “should” be doing,’ he explained, adding he was ‘brave enough to go, “This is exactly who I am, take it or leave it.”’
Getting into his groove, the follow-up to Louis’s 2020 debut Walls sees him fully tap into genres, like dance music, he was previously hesitant to.
‘On my first album, I wanted to be authentic and credible, and all I could imagine is guitars being the prevalent instrument in the songs, whereas this time around, I stayed more open-minded.
‘Still, these songs aren’t written as a play to radio, but in the same way, I didn’t resist those sounds. We found a middle ground,’ he shared.
Rising to fame as one fifth of the world’s biggest boy band, the 30-year-old father of one added he would love to join forces with the boys again, following the group’s break in 2015.
‘It would be criminal for us not to. It’s easier to say this now, from the outside looking in, but it was such a big thing, such a massive part of all of our lives, I would be disappointed if we get to whatever age and we haven’t had that moment.
‘But it’s all speculative, there’s so many different things to consider within that. So, who knows, I’d be gutted if we didn’t,’ he admitted.
Does he keep in touch with Harry, Liam, Niall and Zayn? ‘Definitely, man,’ Louis replied, continuing: ‘Maybe a couple of the lads would agree with me on this, I’d actually say that, you keep an eye on everything everyone’s doing, more than we actually keep in contact.
‘I’ve probably spoken to Niall two or three times this year, I bumped into him at Glastonbury, which was lovely, but what’s great about the relationship we have, you know, we’ve all got mates like this, it doesn’t matter how long we go without speaking, but when we see each other, it’s so f***ing nice. So, if I’m not in contact with them, I’m watching from afar, proud.’
Louis’s new single, Bigger Than Me, is out now

people don’t realize that a lot of 1d clout still exists in countries that aren’t USA and UK. And Louis and the fruit salad boy are the only two people out of that band actively making music and touring right now, so Louis visiting these countries, doing shows, it’s all a pretty big deal in my opinion.
Also, the Spanish interview was way more fun than the other promo ones which repeat the same five questions over and over and actually gave us a lot of fun moments and new inside jokes to have.
And the three concerts in Spain are almost sold out of the released tickets so far. These are huge venues in Spain. I have little doubt now that they will sell out by concert date. Paris has sold out.
I’m beyond proud of Louis for what he’s accomplished. I’ll continue to love him for everything he tries.

While some former members of One Direction have been very public about the intra-band disputes, Louis Tomlinson is breaking away from the bandmate-trashing narrative. In a new interview with Rolling Stone, he's careful to show love for Harry, Liam, Niall and Zayn: "I fucking love the boys, and I love everything we've done together. And I still miss my time with them. I think any of the boys would be lying if they said otherwise."
The Rolling Stone profile goes in-depth about Tomlinson's impending solo debut Walls, a record that's been years in the making, and concentrates on how Tomlinson's artistry has evolved since One Direction's split. He points out that talking shit about his former bandmates would feel trite and "obvious."
"First, I absolutely fucking love the band. I'm super proud about where I've come from," he tells Rob Sheffield. "But also, there's a big history of that, people coming out of bands and chatting shit. I just think they just look so obvious. It's such a desperate attempt to try and get cool points. So I don't think it's authentic."
Tomlinson's solo debut, which hits streaming platforms everywhere this Friday, is distinct from the music he made with One Direction. Specifically, songs like "Kill My Mind," he describes as a "statement of intent." The indie rock-inspired track leans pop, but spotlights Tomlinson's voice as separate from the chorus of pop vocals he had been previously lumped into.
It seems that all the former 1D members are planning to continue their unique solo careers. "And we do all have a different range of inspiration — that's what made it interesting, both on a personality level and on a music level," Tomlinson says. "I think we're all making really fucking good music as well."

I was at work when Ash posted this, and came out of work to see the notif and then proceeded to sit in my car sobbing for 20 minutes. This man, and this band are my lifeline. I’ve never told y’all my story about how I found 5 Seconds of Summer, but now seems like a good time. I’ll put it under the cut so it doesn’t clog up your dash.
I found Luke around the 14th of March 2011. I was 14. He’d posted his cover of ‘Fireflies’ by Ron Pope a few days before, and there was just something about it that I couldn’t get out of my head. At the time I didn’t think much of it (this was pre-youtube account) and I kept checking back every now and then to see if he posted anything else. In April of that same year, Mike and Cal uploaded a video introducing them as a three piece under the name of ‘5 Seconds of Summer’ - they did a few more covers, most of the time with only two of them lmao, and I kept checking back to see what they were posting. Ash joined them in December 2011 and they became a four piece.
When they uploaded the video for ‘Teenage Dirtbag’, I knew that I wanted to keep watching their content as there was just something I still couldn’t shake. The energy with the four of them had shifted somehow from just being the three of them, and it kept me interested.
They toured a lil bit of Aus in 2012, and I spent my days on Youtube watching shitty videos of them playing songs they’d written themselves rather than covers. They then revealed that they were releasing an EP later in the year. They dropped ‘Unplugged’ in June 2012 in Aus and NZ and I remember being super sad that I couldn’t buy it in the UK yet. It was released WW in December 2012, and you bet your ass I bought an iTunes voucher so I could buy it (remember iTunes vouchers?? Those were the days, RIP iTunes). They moved to London at the end of that year. I remember seeing a video someone uploaded of them doing an impromptu session playing in a park in London and being so sad that I wasn’t there to see them. They did some small intimate shows in the UK while they were over here, but I never got to go to any of them.
In early 2013 they started touring with 1D, but again I never got to see them. I LIVED for the shitty videos people were posting on Youtube of their performances, and I was desperate to see this band I’d become so obsessed with following.
On the 24th of February 2014, they uploaded the video for ‘She Looks So Perfect’ on Youtube. It was at this point that my friends at school became aware of them and started following them, despite me telling them for years that this band were awesome (teenagers, am I right?). On the 27th of June 2014, they released ‘5 Seconds Of Summer’ out into the world. I was 17 years old.
At 17, I was struggling with A LOT. My grandad was very ill, my friends turned out to not be my friends, and it’s probably one of the loneliest periods I’ve ever had in my life. I’d experienced what I thought was heartbreak, and their self-titled album was everything I needed at that time in my life. I finally saw them on the 5th of June 2015. I got to spend two hours in a room with my four favourite people in the whole world. I have a video of them playing ‘Everything I Didn’t Say’, and all you can hear is me sobbing in the background lmao.
Walking out of that venue, I knew my life would never be the same.
I was pretty active on social media at this point, as were the boys, and seeing the stupid things they got up to on Keek and Twitter genuinely made my days so much brighter.
As we all know, ‘Sounds Good Feels Good’ was released on the 23rd of October 2015. I was 18, my parents had just split up, my grandad had died and I felt like the whole world was out to get me. I fell into a period of intense depression and did some things I’m not proud of, and I honestly didn’t see a way out. Then SGFG came along. That is the album that quite literally saved my life. Listening to the four people I admired most in the whole world singing lyrics about things I was going through, being the same age as me, was totally overwhelming. I don’t remember my first listen through of that album - what I do remember is the way that it changed my whole world view.
They understood exactly how I felt, down to the last detail. To this day I have to leave Broken Home and Invisible off of playlists because they jolt me back to a time in my life that I don’t ever want to experience again. That whole album was my saving grace for a long time. I’m eternally grateful to them for releasing it when they did, as I’m gonna be straight up and say that I might not have been sat here typing this today.
I went to their show for the SLFL tour on the 8th of April 2016. I spent most of that night crying my eyes out and getting weird looks from the people around me, but I didn’t care. This was my band, and they were playing the songs that literally saved me. The SGFG era was emotionally draining for me for a long time, and it took me a while to be able to listen to most of the album again as it just felt so raw.
When they took time off to rejuvenate themselves before album three, I was worried. For the last 6 years this band had been what kept me waking up each morning. The lack of content was freaking me out and I wasn’t sure how to deal with it. My mental health was on its way down again and I found myself going back to old patterns.
At this point, I’d been in a relationship for almost three years, was engaged, and was living with my then SO. I thought everything was perfect, I had the life that I wanted with a man that I thought I’d be with forever.
In February 2018 they released ‘Want You Back’, and I loved it, but didn’t have the connection with it like I did with SGFG. I missed out on tickets for the 5SOS III Tour (and may have cried about it, but it’s fine), but bought tickets for the Meet You There Tour before they even released the album. This was my band, of course I was going to see them.
When ‘Youngblood’ dropped, I had a day off from work. I set my stereo system up, and lay on my living room floor with the speakers around me in a circle. I wanted to feel the new album, not just listen to it (weird, I know). Want You Back and Youngblood were fine, but then we hit Lie To Me.
‘I know that you don’t, but if I ask you if you love me, won’t you lie, lie, lie, lie, lie to me?’
I genuinely felt all of the breath I had in my lungs, vacate. I’m gonna be straight and say that I hadn’t been happy in my relationship for a while despite what I said above - my partner was emotionally abusive, and the warning signs were clear, I just didn’t want to see them. That one line haunted me every time Luke sang it, but I let it play through and moved through the rest of the album. When it finished, I let it play through again. I let those lyrics flow through me, and by the time it got round to Lie To Me again, I was sobbing. Once again, these boys knew exactly what I needed to hear, at the exact time in my life that I needed to hear it. It took me seeing them again in November of last year to make a change in my life.
If you’ve been around for a little while, you’ll know that I’ve shared my Meet You There Tour story before, but if you haven’t read it, you can find it here. I stood at the back of the O2 Academy in Birmingham, a year ago tomorrow (1st of Nov) and cried. Listening to my boys sing those songs in person absolutely broke me, and made me realise that I wasn’t happy in my relationship. I left that show heartbroken, and overwhelmed, and honestly exhausted, but I drove back home and spent the next two months trying to fix the relationship I was so unhappy in.
I thought I’d made progress, but after Christmas of last year, everything fell back into old patterns and enough was enough. Watching my ex-partner walk out of the front door was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to go through. I’d taken the plunge, but I was broken. I moved back in with my mum in January of this year, which has been incredibly stressful (that’s another story lmao), but the one thing that has kept me going is these four boys.
Ashton is always the one that I feel the most connected with - I don’t know if it’s because he’s the oldest and people usually think I’m a lot older than I am, but his life philosophy and his attitude towards the things which make him a better person, inspire me every day. Whenever I’m having a shitty day, he always seems to put out a Tweet which says exactly what I need to hear. His love for us keeps me going every day, and I strive to be even half the person that he is. He does so much for us, and I thank God every single day he biked halfway across Sydney to attend that first band practice as a four-piece.
Their music makes me feel a lot less lonely, in a world that hasn’t always been the kindest to me. Because of them, I’ve met some of the coolest people on the planet through this godforsaken website, and the existence of these people in my life makes me excited to wake up each day.
This Tweet from Ash tonight reminded me exactly why I stayed with this band way back in 2011. Their passion for their art inspires me every single day and I am constantly in awe of the way they continue to push themselves and their performance.
I am not the same person I was at the start of the year. ‘Youngblood’ has helped me reinvent myself into the person I’ve always wanted to be. I’m so much stronger than I ever thought possible, and I’ve only realised that because of four dorks from Sydney that told me it’s okay to be whoever you want to be.
I will forever be grateful for their music, their passion, and their presence on this Earth. I’ve never stuck with any artist as long as I’ve stuck with this band, and I would not change that for the world.
Thank you 5SOS, for always being there for me, even if no one else was. I love you guys.

We all know how hard it is to find new writers on tumblr (let’s face it, it’s hard to do anything on tumblr these days), and that sometimes means talent gets buried. So, as two writers, we wanted to do something to highlight the wonderful talent the Harry Styles fandom has.
If you’d like to take part, or you have a writer you’d like to see get some recognition, fill out this handy form HERE! Please don’t be shy about putting yourself forward, this isn’t a popularity contest, this is about you and your writing being found.
Here’s a shameless plug for our work!

When did you start writing? Who inspired you to give writing a go?
I started writing in 2010, but didn’t post anything anywhere until 2011. I don’t remember anyone really inspiring me to write. It was more of a way to get everything inside my head out, a way to deal with my life and terribly complicated 17-year-old feelings.
Tell us your 1D/Harry origin story.
I knew about One Direction around 2011/2012, who didn’t? I will admit I was one of those people who “hated” them because they were popular, not really ever giving them a chance. But then, one fateful day in 2013, I watched the Best Song Ever video and with the thought of “oh, they’re all really pretty,” my whole life changed. I dove in headfirst and never looked back. Harry has always been my favorite, at first because I thought he was the hottest member of the band, but then I started learning more about him as a person and that solidified my love for him.
Tell us why Harry is your muse.
He’s just...the best. He’s so kind and genuine; I’ve never heard anyone who’s met him say anything negative about him as a person. He makes me feel better about myself, which is hard to explain, but I’ll give it a shot. It’s mostly because he’s so confident in himself, especially with his fashion choices, and he doesn’t care what other people think, which is a huge change from when 1D first started out. He’s grown to love himself over time and that’s really inspiring to me. He’s also got an amazing muscular body with some soft spots here and there, and that makes me feel better about my soft spots. If Harry has them and can be seen as so perfect by so many people, maybe mine aren’t so bad.
Do you tell people you write fanfic? Do you tell people you write at all?
I don’t usually tell people in regular conversation, but if the subject of writing comes up, and I feel comfortable enough with the person to share that it’s fic that I write, then I’ll tell them. Most of the time, it’s something I keep to myself.
Do you have a writing playlist, or do you need complete silence to write?
Definitely complete silence. It’s hard for me to listen to something and try to string words together at the same time, especially when I’m making up dialogue or trying to describe something.
What’s your favourite thing you've ever written.
I have a couple WIPs that I’m really proud of, but my favorite fic that’s been posted is We Gamble With Desire, my Zirry fic. I love writing those characters so much, and I’ve got so many timestamps and continuations planned for that verse. I could write in it forever, honestly.
What's your favourite thing you've ever read? Fanfic and non-fanfic?
Favorite book has to be either The Outsiders or The Last of the Really Great Whangdoodles. It’s a children’s novel kind of like The Chronicles of Narnia in that it’s about three kids who go on adventures in a fantasy world, but this world is created by the kids in their own imaginations. I’ve read it about ten times over the years and it never fails to make me happy.
Favorite fic, that’s a little more difficult. I’ve read so many! The first one to pop in my head is Landslide, one that I’ve only read once but has really stuck with me ever since. I think it sticks out because it’s the first actual AU that I read, one that takes place in 1976 with Harry as an undercover FBI agent and Louis as a suspected cult leader. It’s long, about 140K if I remember correctly, but it really gets you hooked fast. There’s also Big White Lie, an OT5 A/B/O fic (which I know some people aren’t into), and the Working For The Skin Trade series, in which girl!Niall is rich and hires male escorts to keep her company.
Do you tend to stick to one genre, or do you like to change things up a little?
I think all of my writing ends up being kind of the same. Mostly smut, some angst here and there, maybe some feelings sprinkled in. I’m trying to branch out a bit with some of my WIPs, so we’ll see what happens with those.
Do you have a fixed plan of what you're going to write, or do you just see where the story takes you?
A little bit of both? Sometimes I start with a fixed plan, then get to the end of that plan and go where the story takes me. Other times I start with a plan but it all goes right out the window once I start writing. It really depends on what it is I’m writing and what kind of mood I’m in while I’m working on it.
Is there a schedule you follow in terms of when you write? Or are you more impulsive and just write where and when you can?
Where and when I can, definitely. I can make plans to write on certain days, usually whatever weekday I have off from work, but sometimes motivation doesn’t line up with that. An idea will occasionally strike me when I’m at work or busy doing something else, so I’ll jot it down in my phone real quick so I don’t forget it. Maybe I should try and make a schedule for writing. It might work better than my current process.
Are your stories driven by plot or character?
Plot, I think. The ideas I have are usually more about the plot and less about the characters. If I feel like it’s going to be a long fic, I try and plan out the plot first and then figure out who I want my characters to be after. The main pairing probably changes two or three times before I find a couple that sticks and fits with the plot best.
Some readers are wary of leaving feedback because they're unsure how the writer will take it, how do you personally like to receive feedback? Do you want to be critiqued, or would you like to just know if they did or didn't enjoy what they've read?
I like people to let me know what they liked and didn’t like, and also suggestions of what they want to see next or what they think could have made the story better. It helps to know what people want to read so I can post things they’ll like.
Do you use a beta? If so, feel free to give them a shout out! How do they help you?
I don’t, but I would love to have one! I have a few friends who I can bounce ideas off of, but an actual beta would be lovely to have.
Is writing a hobby or do you have aspirations of writing professionally outside of fanfiction?
100% a hobby. I’ve played with the thought of writing professionally, because I love writing and getting paid to do it would be amazing, but I’m terrible at keeping to deadlines so professional writing probably wouldn’t be a good idea for me.
Do you post your writing in other places? Where do you you find to be the best place for your work?
I’ve only posted my writing on Tumblr and AO3. I think they’re both good platforms because it’s easy to post writing on them and feedback is easy to give and to get.
Favourite writing trope?
Oh, man. There’s so many to choose from! I like writing “they’re in love and everyone knows it but them” and all of its variations, and I love reading “oh no! There’s only one bed/couch/seat left! Whatever are we to do??”
AU or OU?
AU. I’m not great at coming up with original characters but I can come up with alternate universes in a heartbeat.
Preferred types of writing: Blurbs, short stories, or full fics?
Either blurbs or full fics, depending on what kind of mood I’m in. I like blurbs for second person/self-insert pieces because most of my blurbs are based on things that have recently happened to me or certain feelings I’m having and need to get out, but I like full fics because I like being able to take my time telling stories with more complex plots, and full fics allow me to take all the time I need to tell them.
Do you draw anything from your personal life? What inspires your subject matter?
I draw a good portion of the blurbs I write from personal experience. A lot of my early writing was me turning my daydreams about my various crushes into little things I would keep to myself, just things I would use to get the ideas out of my head so I could move on to other impossible and unrealistic daydreams. A lot of my big fic ideas stem from me wanting to read a certain thing and not being able to find it anywhere so I just write it myself.
What's your purpose for writing? What do you hope to accomplish?
I’ve never really thought about it, to be honest. The main reason I started writing was to get stuff out of my head. My first Tumblr fandom piece was written for somebody because they had an idea and didn’t know how to flesh it out, so I figured I’d do it. More recently I’ve tried to come up with ideas for things that may not exist yet, try to cater to the parts of the fandom that don’t always get things written for/about them. I just like being able to give people the opportunity to read something different and maybe make them happy along the way.
And finally, do you have any advice/tips for your fellow fanfic writers?
Something I’ve learned recently is that if you keep going back and editing every little thing until it’s perfect, two things happen: it’s never going to be perfect, and you’re going to start hating writing. It’s going to feel more like a chore than something you enjoy and look forward to. A way I’ve been trying to combat that is to post whatever I write after looking over it only a few times. So far I’ve only done this with blurbs, and it’s helped a bit. Another tip is to write whatever you want. Trying to write to satisfy other people puts too much pressure on yourself, so just write whatever and however you like. You’ll find your groove in time.

The album did get one mention, after Louis had established his sexual preference for the 6000th time. “While I’m still trying to piece together the rest of my album, those things are important obviously to listen to, and one thing that resonates throughout the One Direction stuff is the positive in the lyric and that’s what gave it that anthemic feel for a live show."
Hi, anon.
So the album got a mention, just as it got a vague tweet every month or so for six months—and nothing more. The message is clear about how doing the show hasn’t changed anything, not the timeline for its release, or any plans for his solo career. Except that December 2017 Louis talked about the guitars and anthemic sound in One Direction and having found his sound as a solo artist with Miss You, about being in the final stages making his album and release being set for spring 2018, and how his goal for the year was releasing his album and then touring it. That was a timeline… which is supposed to not have been affected by XF… now there is nothing. Nothing beyond an assurance that he is getting to do both the show and his solo career, and how he is so grateful and privileged to get to be a judge—he would be “twiddling his thumbs” if not, after all, according to The Sun—not performing and promoting his own music, or in writing sessions, as he said himself he loves to do and does on the regular. How is he getting to be a solo artist, when he hasn’t shared music or performed in almost a year, when his social media doesn’t showcase him as an artist, when his press is about X Factor and his bond with Simon?
For most interviews during BTY promo he had to tick off certain stunt and image talking points—which were frequently the focus in the headlines for those interviews—but he got to talk about his music, as well. His song played on the radio—until they pulled it back while it was still climbing the charts.
Now, after eight months of forced inaction, he got an interview—with no advance notice, so once again fans continue to be hard pressed to follow his career—to clarify he is in a heterosexual relationship, and promote XF and Simon—and the constant linking back to 1D—completely overshadowing his solo work and future as a solo artist—is a promotional tool for the show, too, not just Louis being nostalgic and proud of the band he gave so much to. Does anyone still doubt this after the fanfare around the ‘eight year anniversary’? Louis is being used also for his connection to One Direction, Simon and XF showing off by reminding people of one of the most successful acts launched through them.
They played and introduced BTY—and somehow that’s a win now, since for MY promo they did the same for a couple of interviews instead of playing the single he was promoting then.
Nothing about this is surprising, unfortunately. But it is bizarre to see some people calling this a good thing, nothing to be angry about, no fault of his team, and acting like this is good exposure for him… Like having to talk about a girlfriend means nothing, just like having everyone believe he fathered and is parenting a child means nothing, apparently, or pushing the idea that he is so close to Simon Cowell he is set to be his successor. Then again, not so shocking, I suppose, to see that reaction. Louis’ continued long term abuse and exploitation is old news, the effect on him and consequences for his personal life insignificant and ‘worth the while’ as long as people can continue to have their fun, and there are no standards for what he deserves as an artist anymore. Everything is great.

Louis Tomlinson may be one-fifth of one of the biggest boybands in the world, but there's so much more to know about the singer than the fact he was in One Direction. Now that he's getting on with his solo music career - AND just dropped his amazing new single 'Two Of Us', Louis is a major household name across the world.
Louis William Tomlinson was born on Christmas Eve in 1991, making him 27-years-old at the time of writing. Louis is the oldest member of One Direction, being 13 months older than second eldest Zayn Malik.
Louis Tomlinson's star sign is Capricorn. Apparently, typical Capricorns live by the motto, ‘Slow, steady and win the race.’ Where is Louis Tomlinson from? Louis was brought up in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Other famous people who hail from the town include Jeremy Clarkson, Kevin Keegan and Brian Blessed! Louis Tomlinson on The X Factor Louis first auditioned for The X Factor in 2009 but didn't get through the producer's audition, but that made him more determined to return in 2010 as a solo artist at the age of 19. He then met his future bandmate Harry Styles in the toilets at The X Factor auditions in Manchester.Although he made it through to bootcamp after singing a version of Plain White T’s ‘Hey There Delilah’ and getting a clean sweep of yeses from the judges, he wasn't able to progress as a solo artist. However, judge Nicole Scherzinger suggested that he go through in a group with some other rejected solo boys, and he was put together with Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Harry Styles. They went through to Judges' Houses, singing an acoustic version of 'Torn' by Natalie Imbruglia with Simon Cowell himself commenting that the group "were confident, fun, like a gang of friends and kind of fearless as well."They were Simon's last act standing on the series, but finished in third place behind Matt Cardle and Rebecca Ferguson. When One Direction formed, Louis’s big ambition was to go "straight to the top." Proof that dreams come true! He also once said that if he could give anyone a tip when auditioning for The X Factor it would be "just be yourself and really try and get your personality through in your song choice and interview." Although Louis has returned to The X Factor as a performer, he took part in the show in 2018 as part of a brand new line-up alongside Robbie Williams - coincidentally, someone who Louis once called his 'man crush'.He also once said that Robbie is his biggest role model, telling KISS, "I’ve got a massive musical icon and that’s Robbie Williams. We actually got to sing with him on The X Factor and it was absolutely amazing." Louis Tomlinson in One Direction After coming third on The X Factor, the boys were signed to Simon Cowell's label Syco in a reported £2 million contract and immediately started working on their debut album. They took part in The X Factor Live Tour in 2011, and released their debut single 'What Makes You Beautiful' in September that year, which debuted at Number 1.The debut album 'Up All Night' was released in November 2011, and Louis’s favourite track on ‘Up All Night’ is the Ed Sheeran-penned track ‘Moments’. The track appears on the deluxe version of the record. They released second album 'Take Me Home' exactly one year later. Their documentary and concert film One Direction: This Is Us was released in August 2013 and grossed $68.5 million worldwide.Third album 'Midnight Memories' was released in November 2013, and fourth album 'Four' came out in November 2014. Just prior to the release of their fifth album 'Made in the A.M.' in November 2015, the band announced in August that they would be taking a hiatus, following the departure of Zayn Malik in March.
What was Louis Tomlinson like in One Direction?
According to his bandmates, Louis has the smelliest feet in One Direction! Niall once said, "Louis wears plimsolls with no socks so his feet get very sweaty and the sweat is captured. If we are on a bus or something and he takes them off we all pretty much start gagging." Despite having smelly feet, Louis is a big fan of shoes! His favourite types are chinos and Toms and he's a size 10.
Louis also revealed in an interview with us that Niall is the one person in the world he would swap bodies with, "I’ll go close to home Niall Horan, he doesn’t worry about anything in the world, Irish accent I’m not too bad I spend a lot of time with Niall."
Louis was given a telling off by police when filming the ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ video Los Angeles in July 2011 for his erratic driving. Afterwards, he explained, "I got pulled over by the US police. They thought I was all over the place. The officer goes, 'Listen, man, I can shut this thing down if you carry on driving like this. You're driving like a maniac.' And I was like, 'Man, put the gun down. I don't want no trouble.'"
He also says that he and his 1D bandmates are like brothers. Admitting that they occasionally bickered in the band, Louis told Digital Spy, "Because we're around each other so often it's like arguing with your siblings. You fall out with them, go away and have a bit of a paddy, then come back and get over it."
Louis once said that he likes snuggling up in bed with one of the One Directioners... HARRY! He said, "A few weeks ago I made a cup of tea, then went and got in bed with Harry and we watched a show called something like The Top 50 Boybands Of All Time." Nice!
Louis has approximately 1 minute and 30 seconds of solos on ‘Up All Night’ – the second least behind Niall Horan. Louis says he’ll "never get used to" the adoration he receives from fans. He once said, "At the end of the day we’re doing something that we really love and to be appreciated for that is really nice."
Louis hates rumours, especially when they involve Harry and himself. In a Tumblr interview he explained, "Me and Harry are best friends, people look into our every move. It is actually affecting the way me and Harry are in public, We want to joke around but there seems to be a different rumour every time we do anything."
Louis told us the one thing he misses about being in One Direction, "Probably touring, that’s why I’m excited to perform today and excited to get out and spent time touring the world as that’s probably the best thing about being an artist."
Louis Tomlinson's new music
After his successful solo performance on The X Factor in 2018, Louis delighted his fans in March when he dropped his amazing new single 'Two Of Us'.
The song, which is adored by fans, is a tribute to Louis' late mum Johannah Deakin. Johannah left behind seven children, including Louis, at the end of 2016, when she lost her battle with an aggressive form of leukaemia at the age of just 42.
Louis' track 'Two Of Us' features the lyrics, 'I know you'll be looking down/Swear I'm gonna make you proud/I'll be living one life for the two of us.'
The heartwarming music video saw Louis team up with 83-year-old Richard Green to complete a bucket list of adventures that he'd been trying to complete after losing his wife Pat in December 2016 - the same month Louis tragically lost his mother, Johannah Deakin.
Thanks to the success of the video, Louis has helped to raise a whopping £10,000 for the Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice with the music video, which encourages fans to donate to the Sheffield-base charity in a call to action on his music video, which also promotes the Alzheimer's Society and Cancer Research UK.
He told us about the video, "He is, honestly, one the most amazing men I’ve ever met. Probably the most amazing man. I was so in awe of him, you know. Eighty-four, and to have that outlook on life. He was an amazing guy. Really funny as well.
"Just his outlook in general was what I took from that whole experience. You know, he recently had lost his wife but his outlook was so positive and a lot of people are entitled to dwell and be sad about those kind of things. But he was the exact opposite. He was so upbeat, so fun, and up for anything."
Louis Tomlinson's family
Louis' parents are Johannah Deakin and Troy Austin. In 2011, his mum Johannah and stepdad Mark split up and he took on his stepfather Mark Tomlinson’s surname. Speaking about his mum, Louis said, "It must be so much harder for her because I’m living this fantastic life and being so busy every day whereas she’s still in the old life I was in but without me... It must be really difficult for her not to get upset."
Johannah sadly passed away in 2016, and Louis paid tribute to his mum on the anniversaryof her passing.
Louis was incredibly close with his mum, and she once told Sugarscape that Louis is a giver and not a taker. In fact, there’s nothing he enjoys more than giving his friends and family presents, "He’s not a materialistic person himself, but he likes to give people things. He spoils me and the girls and he's happiest doing that."
He also has five younger half-sisters - one on his father's side (Georgia), and four on his mother's side (Charlotte, Félicité, and twins Daisy and Phoebe). Sadly, it was announced in March 2019 that Louis' sister Félicité tragically passed away after suffering a suspected cardiac arrest, at the age of just 18.
Just days after the release of his brand new single 'Two Of Us' in memory of his late mum, Louis' 18-year-old sister Félicité Tomlinson tragically died after she suffered a cardiac arrest.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson confirmed, "Police were called by London Ambulance Service at 12.52pm on Wednesday, March 13 to a residential address in SW5 following reports of a female in cardiac arrest. At this stage the death is being treated as unexplained. A post-mortem examination will take place in due course. Enquiries continue."

He once said, "I am going slightly deaf in my right ear. It’s tinnitus, something like that," before joking that it was because of screaming fans.
Is Louis Tomlinson good at cooking?
Louis admits he’s a really bad cook. Speaking to us in May 2019, Louis admitted that whilst he's very romantic, he's not great in the kitchen! "I am a horrific cook, a very, very bad cook. I give it a go, you know what I mean, I’ll try.
Despite his lack of skills, he appeared alongside Harry in a cooking segment on This Morning in September 2011.

Harry’s transformation is so shocking that it has changed the way we view former One Direction interviews and performances, and affected the current mental health and career aspirations of his ex-bandmates.
this. imagine being treated as "less than" when they all failed in the beginning, were a part of the same group and gave as much, if not more to get where they did. I remember there was discourse about how everyone except harry had to prove themselves to the media and their own fans of being worthy enough to be in the band and he got everything on a silver platter... and some people are still salty about louis... how it would've been better without him :/
I'm just happy that louis is now confident in his voice, can put an amazing show and make his fans happy while the haters start popping nerves over him returning a milkshake... they are down bad
I think the way Louis has processed the issue of self-confidence has been remarkable.
It isn’t a matter of blindly trusting in the future or in the goodwill of fans. As you mentioned, as soon as Louis started his solo career, there was a lot of hate directed toward him, whereas with Harry the hate was minimal.
In the first Guardian interview, Louis himself expressed conflicted feelings about his motivation for a solo career— was he tilting at windmills, and did he really want to do it, or did he just want to prove his doubters wrong?
“being treated as ‘less than’”— this strategy was reiterated during the solo era by intentionally keeping most of Louis’ songs after Back to You off radio and off big DSP services— by keeping them from UK radio’s biggest stations, by not making the songs available on AllAccess.
Yet he persisted.
Louis remained hopeful and plowed on working. The quality of people he works with continues to be high. His work has transformed into tender, poetic, mature, and nuanced expressions of life, love, and optimism. He continues to share his own vision, and to help others in every visible way.
Louis continues to work on performance confidence— not quite perfect yet but multiple times better than in 1D, and very nearly technically perfect— confident and assured.
I’ve watched him grow for seven years. Louis has never disappointed. Super proud of him.

Recent Larry and 1D updates (Liam’s recent interview response)
Here is a very brief summary of some of the Larry related occurrences that I can remember happening since I finished my main Larry proof essay, but I mainly discuss Liam’s recent interview describing the lack of freedom in One Direction and how I hope we can all react to it. *
….
Since Harry’s yellow trousers with black stripes Louis has also worn yellow trousers with black stripes and Harry has worn another yellow and black stripy jumper (bee symbolism) Zayn got a bear tattoo heavily resembling RBB and made sure it was visible in the rip of his jeans for paparazzi to photograph. Louis got a tattoo of an ‘E’ on his hand and Eleanor got an ‘L’ tattoo on her hand, however there have been subsequent videos and photos of both of them without the letters on their hands. Louis was in LA only for the duration that Harry was in LA then went back to London when Harry also went back to London. Louis has worn nothing but white shirts right up until Two Ghosts was announced as Harry’s next single (the song where he sings about Louis in white shirts)
* Most notably, Liam has continued to reveal how restricted him and the other boys were in One Direction. He’s been explaining that his lyric “I used to be in 1D, now I’m out free” references how Harry wasn’t allowed to wear high waisted, bell bottom trousers and Zayn wasn’t allowed to dye his hair. Louis has also discussed at length how he was constantly made to feel like “the one at the back” of the band who didn’t get a single solo in the entirety of The X Factor, and didn’t have the confidence to ever see what it was that he was contributing to the band. It is also known that Niall barely had any solos either, and was forced to perform with a broken leg. Harry was forced to perform with a constantly bad back, and him and the other boys would still perform even when they lost their voices or were unwell, and Zayn obviously left the band due his lack of input in the music and the effect the entire thing had on his anxiety and his eating habits. It has also recently come out that someone spent 20 minutes pleading with Harry to not go on TV with lipstick on. One Direction’s make-up artist even said that she thought men should look like men and not be feminine and that if the 1D boys even requested their eyebrows to be slightly plucked that she would refuse to do it. I also recently learnt that Liam even had to spend time in hospital because of the impact that an alcohol problem was having on his health.
I’m bringing this news up and discussing it for a few reasons – we knew that One Direction were under heavy professional control with their gruelling schedules and the fact that they did an album and a world tour every year for five years with basically no break, but learning more specifically about just how severe their personal control was, has been shocking. These boys were as young as 16, and for them to be manipulated and pushed to the point of alcoholism, eating disorders, anxiety and hospitalisation, and for them to be so forcefully gendered, is disgraceful. I’m writing about this to process it myself. I could link it back to Larry and say that if management spent an entire 20 minutes begging Harry to take lipstick off and forcing him to wear more masculine clothes then why is it a surprise that they would closet his and Louis sexuality and relationship, as much as I believe that I’m more so bringing this up to try and calm people down.
Everyone has understandably been very upset to hear that Harry wasn’t allowed to dress how he wanted or wear make-up if he wanted to, and I am really shocked and saddened to only just learn about how terrible things got for Liam, but I just wanted to try and reassure people to not let this news affect us too much. It’s obviously heart-breaking. No one should be made to feel like who they are is not enough or is somehow wrong. No one should be forcefully told how to dress, how to look, how to act, what to say, who to love, or who to be, especially not at such an important and impressionable age when they are only just learning these things about themselves anyway. No one should be pressured and overworked and controlled to the point where it impacts their own physical and mental health or their own opinions about themselves. Especially not for up to 7 years. And most of all, none of these things should have been inflicted for somebody else to profit from.
BUT, however sad and unfair and wrong this is, we must absolutely not let this negatively affect our own emotions. As hard as this may be to hear, there is not much we can do about it. This is not necessarily our fight. All we can do is continue to love and support all the boys. We can do this the same way we always have - by sending nice messages on social media, listening to their music, being kind to them if we meet them, organising fan projects when we can, and reminding them that we value and respect them for who they are. That might not sound like much, but it is. We know that they appreciate this, because they always tell us that they do.
And if all this gets too much for you, then never forget that you are always allowed to take a step back and you should always look after yourself first. The boys wouldn’t want you to be upset. There are enough of us out there to keep supporting One Direction if some of us need a break, and the lads themselves have each other and their friends and families to support them too. Being a fan is meant to be fun and enjoyable. And the boys themselves have still had an absolutely amazing time and have been happy and made such valuable friendships with each other and have not given up. They are strong. And so are we. And as they say - just hold on, remember everything will be alright, we’re fireproof and nobody can drag us down.
And lastly, here are all the positive and beautiful things we should focus on –
Harry is out there right now finally able to openly wearing pink, satin, velvet, golden, embellished, sequin, high waisted, flared, women’s trousers, lilac, pink ruffled, women’s blouses, fully painted nails, probably some lipstick every now and again, in public, looking amazing, with a real smile on his face, and being continuously respected and accepted for it, by the fashion world and the general public, as well as writing his own honest and personal music that he is proud of. Harry covering his ‘things I can’t’ tattoo with an eagle tattoo shortly after One Direction’s hiatus is surely a metaphor for this freedom.
Louis got a serious and honest solo interview with a respected journalist which won him enormous love, respect and acknowledgement from the general public. There have been articles written solely about his music and not just his private life and the promotion for his new single is much better than it was for his first single. He is writing his own solo album and is finally feeling really confident and excited about his own abilities as a singer.
Niall is also writing his own solo album under his own conditions and in his own time and is also feeling confident in his own abilities as a singer and songwriter, and out of all the boys he now has the most followers on Twitter, which has happened purely as a result of good music and good promotion for it.
Zayn was able to finally make the type of music that he wanted to make, can dye and cut and style his hair however he wants and has had quiet time to himself to deal with his anxiety and his eating, as well as be honest and open about it.
Liam seems happy and healthy, his music is being is really well received and he has more control over his own words and the freedom to sing honestly about what he wants to say, and most of all, the fact that Liam is able to finally talk so openly about the lack of freedom in One Direction is a positive indicator at the increasing distance between them and 1D’s management.
Since the hiatus, all the boys have been doing what they want for themselves and have been genuinely happy, and have been constantly supporting each other publicly. As much as I miss them together and I do want them to come back, I want it to happen under the best possible circumstances, at the time that they want it to, and if they all definitely do want it. Although, as mentioned in my main essay, there is so much we don’t know, it seems like although things aren’t perfect and there is still a long way to go and they are still under control, things are the best they can be, and they are maybe the best they have been.
Harry, Louis, Niall, Liam and Zayn seem happy at the minute and they have more freedom than they have had since 1D began. No matter what they’ve gone through and although they aren’t perfect and we don’t know them personally, the boys are still true to themselves and their work, they’re doing brilliantly on their own and they continue to inspire and encourage people to stay strong and be themselves – if that’s not something to celebrate then I don’t know what is.
Finally, without wanting to sound like I’m telling you how to feel or that I would even have any right to do that, I would just like to advise you to please try not to worry or to get too emotional, and please try to always see the positives. Put yourself, your own feelings and your own life first and just enjoy being a fan :)

Idk don't get me wrong, it's very lovely that we got Louis at Niall's. I'm just sad that it has to be like that. We didn't get once Narry pic last night, Niall didn't mention Harry at all. Tonight he gave Louis a shout out and there are pics together etc. And of course Harry couldn't be there tonight when Louis was there. And Louis had to be MIA for Harry's gig. I get it, but somehow it still sucks :/ it always makes Harry an outsider idk I just wish things could be different.
I understand where you’re coming from, I really do, but honestly I think to be able to survive in this fandom you have to learn to appreciate the little things.
In the last two days we’ve had Niall publicly supporting Harry, Louis publicly supporting Niall, Niall and Harry both continuing to perform 1D songs and discussing the band as something they’re proud of and happy to continue being associated with, and soon we’ll have Harry, Niall, and Louis all at the same major festival performing on their own merit, not to mention everything Liam has been doing as well. That’s AMAZING. But if we get hung up over H and L not getting to openly sit next to each other at Niall’s show, we’ll never be able to see all the good we’re getting because we’ll be distracted by one bit of gloom.

I'm dying laughing at the CEO of the Recording Academy trying to cover his ass cause he knew he made a mistake all while questioning if Harry's reached a "level of excellence to merit a nomination." But gave the Chainsmokers and Meghan fucking Trainor a Grammy. Where was the excellence from them? The Chainsmokers song was played at Frat parties and dirty basement, is that's excellence then I don't want Harry to reach that point.
i literally cannot believe
Anonymous said: My dad just texted me from work to see if I was okay because he got a call from the neighbours saying there’s been the same song on loop on full blast (that song is the Grammy robbed Sign of the Times by the Grammy deserving Harry Edward Styles)
DJNFBGUHFBJNHFIJNBFHJKF MEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anonymous said: I bet that one anon you got a few days ago is cackling and trying to talk shit about how they knew Harry isn't talented enough to get a Grammy or something stupid like that
they can ch*ke
Anonymous said: Niall did great things with his album and it got great hype by both the public and music producers so if his album made the deadline I would easily say his album deserved a nomination. But the other boys haven’t even released albums yet and their singles were just good for radio play.
i haven't listened to his album still lol but noah fence from what i saw it did not get nearly as great reviews and hype as harrys lol and idk why the others even bothered fhbgfjkvl
Anonymous said: Boycott the Grammys 2k18!
tru!!!
Anonymous said: I’m just going to air out my grievances if that’s ok- first of all,Harry’s management or record company stuffed up bad cos y’all know damn well the members don’t vote artists with a progressive sound into the rock category so you fucked up there. second - Bruno mars is clearly this ceremony’s Taylor swift cos idk how tf his flimsy song about material things got nominated over a relevant refreshing ballad like SOTT . Harry deserved better , but also, harry needs to fire some incompetent people ✌️
well harry made music he wanted lol not stuff thats gonna get played on the radio which i enjoy lol but yea bruno is the tswift this year....or j*y z
Anonymous said: The thing that sucks is he most likely was planning on going to the Grammys cause he's performing for Fleetwood Mac the day before, but now he's going to be in New York and not going.....
PLEASE :(
Anonymous said: I was really disappointed but more for him than me like my first thought was “I hope he’s alright and not too sad about it” And I really hope he understands that it doesn’t make him any less good because an award is just an award and it never defines who you are as an artist and as a person.
i know I'm so sad for him i hope he's okay :(
Anonymous said: Harry is the best artist in the world right now he doesn’t need awards!!
tru! but it would've been nice to even get a nom/recognition
Anonymous said: You can tell the Grammy' will just nominated any old shite. I mean Ed Sheeran has the biggest album of the year yet he isn't nominated. And i didn't even know JayZ had an album out and he's nominated. Like no offense but American music industry is just shit.
ed is nominated and some other categories which I'm sure he will win and literally same i had no idea jay z had music out lmao
Anonymous said: Scrap what i said, Zayn didn't get nominated. It was for songwriting and he didn't write that song.
good
Anonymous said: He got all that hype, he did that private show for them, they went his his first show in LA. They for sure used him for hype and media attention. Robbing bastards.
seriously
Anonymous said: A LOUIS FAN CLAIMING LOUIS DESERVED A NOM YALL I WAS SAD BUT NOT NOW. NOW A BITCH CANT STOP LAUGHING. HE AIN'T EVER GETTING SHIT
LMAOOOOO BYEEEEE AS IF
Anonymous said: I just hope he knows Grammys ain’t shit
honestly
Anonymous said: I know it’s not the end of the world, but I hope he’s not super disappointed and sad, because everyone hyped him up so much smh. Also, I bet this will change how he does promo and radio shit for his next album, they should get him a radio deal just for the fact that clearly that’s all these loser Grammy voters care about.
well if thats what he has to do to get a grammy i don't think that would be worth it and i don't think he would think that either
Anonymous said: Jay Z can fucking choke like his album? The shit he did to beyonce? I’m not fucking rewarding a man for being like that anymore, he can take his ancient ass somewhere else.
nasty
Anonymous said: Good, now I don’t have to watch the Grammys this year, I’m glad tbh since I’m not really a fan of any of the other nominees and I’m sick to death of hearing the same five songs all fucking year lol, that issues song? Fucking hate it, have since day one, can’t believe it got nominated for shit lol. However Jeff needs to get Harry a radio deal since clearly that’s all that matters to voters, considering Harry did all the courting of the voters he could and still got fucked.
i literally haven't even heard most of whats nominated its such a joke
Anonymous said: Most nominees in the important categories are poc so I’m not completely mad and besides Despacito or however you write it (which is a horrible song) they nominated well deserved ones. I still think SOTT should’ve got at least one nomination but I think that maybe because harry is fresh out of the oven they’re not gonna straight up give him a nomination even if he deserves it.
yea i mean its awesome theres actually diversity this year but SOTT literally deserved a ROTY nom
Anonymous said: Nah Harry will get Brit nominations because he’s respected in his own country, the Brits also nominated 1D they don’t hold being in a boy band against him which clearly the Grammy voters do, which is a real shame tbh. But the Grammys are continuing to dig their own grave and become more and more unimportant every year.
i cant wait till the grammys just make such a food of themselves no one goes
Anonymous said: Pls the whole Grammys is a conspiracy theory lol I told you
a mess
Anonymous said: The Grammys lost all credibility after giving Adele Album of the Year last year and not Beyonce. They stick to the basics and just anyone who doesn't "break the rules of music" Harry's first solo song was a 6 minute long rock ballad, which doesn't go with what was expected to be put out. They don't care for originality or you know talent, that's why Ed Sheeran's wack ass has won 🤷🏼‍♀️
SERIOUSLY
Anonymous said: He'll probably get nominated for Song of the year and Video of the year at the Brits. Pretty sure both are fan voted. Maybe best male as well. Also maybe best album but then again probably not because it depends. Also maybe global success. I can't think who else would get that right now. Maybe Ed Sheeran again.
i hope so
Anonymous said: Grammys? I don’t know her. Anyway I hope Harry knows how proud everyone is of him and I hope he’s proud of himself I love my baby 🤧💕
ME!!!!!!!!!!
Anonymous said: i feel so much for harry i mean he did everything he could he put out a phenomenal single and a stellar album and worked with amazing producers and writers and did the grammy performance thing and all that stuff with cbs and like i know im biased but he deserves SOME recognition for all of that like he really did put out amazing music this year that was so much more worthy than despacito like come on he was robbed i just hope he feels okay and valid bc he IS :(
i know :( like i hope he knows he still has done such incredible things this year and his album is so good and he doesn't need a stupid grammy anyway
Anonymous said: Taylor is nominated for two (one for the country song she wrote). Like no offense the the American music industry but you need to get your head out of Taylor arse and stop being snobs. SOTT deserved a nomination.
when will they stop kissing her ass
Anonymous said: Harry broke records held by legends, had a BBC special, performed at the record academy, and sold out an arena tour in minutes. So Julia Michaels and Ed Sheehan can take their boring ass music along with their nominations and shove it up their asses.
TBH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anonymous said: I’m sorry but I have to point out the irony. The lyrics of the song are literally stop your crying it’s a sign of the times. and I know there’s a deeper meaning, but this year fucking sucks
i know :(
Anonymous said: All that hype for nothing. Boy was robbed. Sign of the times deserves a Grammy.
ROBBED!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anonymous said: Everyone knows no one, NO ONE deserved a nomination more then Harry. White old men disappointing me again. Like every fucking person said Harry deserved one. ISSUES AS SONG OF THE YEAR? YALL I NEED THEIR CRACK DEALER CAUSE CLEARLY ITS SOME GOOD SHIT TO GET YOU TO THINK FUCKING ISSUES IS SONG OF THE YEAR. Nah fuck them.
FUCK THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anonymous said: I’m so?? Noah fence but the songs that got nominated? What the fuck???? Harry deserved to be up there whether it was roty or aoty idc he just deserves to be nominated.
seriously
Anonymous said: LISTEN in 10 years time people will look back and say why the fuck wasn’t SOTT a Grammy winner... he is timeless and he’ll win in the end!! The Grammys are fucked
THEY WILL REGRET IT
Anonymous said: The Grammys just proved again how much they don’t matter lol, Harry’s song and album was on every single list as one of the best of the entire year, and the you know who wasn’t? Most of those other songs lmao so whatever man I know the Grammys matters to harry, but it doesn’t matter to me anymore they continue to be irrelevant and continue to nominate mediocrity.
its such a joke lmao
Anonymous said: Yeah honestly the Grammys really do only care about awarding the same people over and over again, and it’s like, no offense but who cares lol. I’m sure Jay Zs album is good but he’s nearly 50 and been nominated a ton like idc anymore lol. And I like Bruno mars but seriously? The songs he was nominated for really aren’t that great lmao.
seriously tho like j*y z has enough awards

Me & Harry Styles (personal story)
First of all, I want to start with a point that is about Dunkirk. I watched it today and I really enjoyed the movie! Harry's acting was quite impressive and he almost made me hate his character, but almost. I'm not only proud of him but also very proud of the whole crew. I grew to like Gorge a lot, played by Barry Keoghan, and I think he's a very cute guy. The movie was exciting and intense. You'll definitely won't be disappointed. Go watch it Now... Since I watched Dunkirk, I feel and immense pain enveloping my heart and I cried a lot today. Not because of the movie. No, because of Harry. I used to do this quite a lot in the past. But I'll mention it again later. I want to share my little history with you, how I fell in love with Harry Styles and all the things that happened in the last couple of years... Enjoy! I have to admit that I wasn't in the 1D fandom from the very beginning. I didn't even know that the boyband even existed. (OMG!) I joined the fandom and became a Directioner at the end of 2012, like November or December. I was 14 years old, hitting to my 15th and I was in 9th grade. I made a work experience together with my friends and we used to sing 'What makes you beautiful' a little bit, I heard about that song but never knew who it belonged to really. We just sang this line over and over again, nothing more. That's how I came in contact with the band. I started to hear the song, asking my friend to send it to me and continued listening to it up and down. I started to create my personal music video to it, me being a princess and the boys trying to impress me and later me running away with them. I slowly developed some feelings for our curly haired boy then. The first four songs I listened to were 'What makes you beautiful', 'One Thing', 'Live while we young' and 'Little Things'. I really enjoyed these songs. My feelings for Harry grew more but then the first shock came: Harry dating Taylor Swift! Just for your information I never liked Haylor nor Hendall, and I don't like these persons either. (Don't argue with me on that, I will not change my mind) I was beyond heartbroken and instantly wanted them to break up. I hoped they would break up as soon as possible. I started to read articles about them which made me want to puke. It was horrible. But then, relief came back into my life: Haylor broke up! Honestly, I wasn't sorry for that! I was just like 'Taylor, you are never ever ever ever getting back together!" :D Then 2013 came, starting with 'Kiss you', then 'One way or another', 'Best Song Ever' and 'Story of my life'. At the same time I began to love one of my old classmates and 1D accompanied me through this whole year with their music. When I started to love somebody else, I slightly shoved Harry into the back of my head but he was still there, waiting to be reminded. At the same year 'This is us' was going to be published and I know how much excited I was to watch it but I never made it. When I saw 'Best Song Ever' for the first time, I couldn't stop but laughing. The entire video was so funny and so cool, the boys were absolutely amazing. Later that year, I started to feel depressed because me and my crush wouldn't get together, I told him about my feelings but he never gave me a response to it. 1D saved me from going insane. Then 2014 came and I have to say, I left the fandom a little bit. I still listened to their music but not too much anymore. I was busy with personal stuff and so on. Besides I had another celebrity crushes like James Maslow that I started to feel interested to. With 'Night Changes' I found my way back to One Direction (Winter 2014). However, my feelings for Harry didn't came back as quickly as possible. First of all, I fell in love with Luke Evans after rewatching the Hobbit again. But before that happened, I bought 'After' by Anna Tood without even knowing that this was based on One Direction. By coincidence I searched for it on Instagram and found out about it. As I read the story, of course picturing Hardin Scott as Harry, my feelings for him took control again. Harry Styles kicked Luke Evans out of my mind. The whole summer 2015 I was only thinking about Harry. When we drove to my home country in August (holidays), I couldn't stop but imagining little scenes about me and Harry and even Marcel the marketing guy. How we were a couple, loving, holding and kissing each other and a lot more. By the time I listened to '18', 'Strong' and 'Rock me', creating my own little films again. When you read my imagine 'Lost Angel', this idea came up in my mind while I was travelling in the night through a foreign country. So the idea is two years old. After my holidays school started again and also I fell in love for another celebrity who's also a reason why I created my blog: Rami Malek. Harry was forgotten quickly, waiting somewhere in the back of my head. I still listened to 1D songs, I was still in the fandom.Until 2016, it was all about Rami, but in summer '16 I found my way back to Harry again. Reading fanfictions about him and all the stuff. When I heard about Dunkirk the first time I knew I was going to watch this movie. I was so excited to see it! Then we come to the year 2017 where we are now. I didn't stopped loving, Harry, I think I never stopped loving him even though I had so many celebrity crushes. Back in February I was all for Bruno Mars but when I saw the promo clip for 'Sign of the Times', Harry's green eyes at the end of that clip, I immediatly was out of that phase. I was soooo excited and I couldn't wait for the song and the album to be out. Honestly, I feel like I had and on-off-relationship with Harry. I dunno why. He always knew how to find back to me and into my heart, kicking away the other celebs off my head. Loving Harry is not simple, it really isn't. I had a time where I cried because I knew and I still know that I will never ever meet him. I will never find out how he looks in person, not only on Tv, I will never know how it feels to have him in my arms, I will never hear his voice in real. I know that all. And if you're asking me where I do, I just know. I have no chance in things like that, never will. I think I'm not the only one who wants this whole-heartedly but I wish I could be a part of his life. A friend he would talk to. Somebody he'd grow to love. You know what hurts too much? That Harry doesn't even know that I exist. He doesn't know that there is a girl out there, who's loving him and caring for him so much. He will never know. And if I'd meet him one day, which I quite doubt, he would forget me anyway, as soon as possible and I don't want that! I want him to remember me, like I always did. Still do. I hate that I fall in love with somebody that I can't even have. We're all in the same boat, we all share the same feeling for that handsome, kind, loving, genuine, green-eyed young man: LOVE! I will never love anybody as much as I love Harry. I'm still hoping that one day I will be able to run a converstion with him, but there is still doubt following me, making me pessimistic instead of optimistic. If Harry is somewhere out there, having a secret Tumblr account and if he stumbles across this post, I just want him to know that I love him endlessly. I will support and care for him as much as I can. I think he deserves the world, he really does. I never met anyone like Harry Styles. Thank you for everything, Harry!❤ So that's it actually my personal story. Hope you enjoyed reading and maybe you can share your experiences with me. Just tagg me on it, if you decide to write it. Thanks for reading! All the love...

hi it's the same anon who asked you abt darren/why people believe in CC. anyway i was just wondering (out of pure curiousity) what would it take for you to be like "oh shit i was wrong" about CC? i mentioned 1d/larry last time i sent you a question because i myself think larry is together, but i definitely have my limits and know what it would take for me to recognize i was wrong.
Good Question. And just to be clear while I think Larry and CC are incredibly similar. They are completely distinct as well. As much as we get thrown at us, I do not envy you. It is way worse being a Larry. Admittedly I only know what little I have been told. But 1D is a worldwide phenomenon strictly sold to the tween/teen market.
With CC,  simply, they are not as famous. And they are not a boy band.
Next, Chris is out and proud and well established as a children’s book author and an incredibly talented actor.
It is possible the truth may have hurt  Darren more significantly during Glee. However, I am not 100% sold on this- if done right CC would have been a gold mind. It was only after they allowed things to spiral out of control that I think he would have been affected, especially once the PR story started to be pounded down our throats and the whole Listen Up teen heartthrob strategy was pursued, where he was also sold to the tween/teen market.
But thankfully now, Darren is growing in leaps and bounds as an actor and is taking much more mature, adult roles. And roles that don’t  require him to be a straight teenage dream. And as he grows, his audience will grow as well.
And I think this is where the huge distinction between CC and Larry lies. And should be considered when responding to the question.
Back to the question.  I don’t want to sound too self assured, but I honestly cannot think of anything that would cause me to say I was wrong. There is no question in my mind that CC is on.  I am not saying it is a perfect relationship. I cannot guarantee they have never broken up. I am confident they have had rough patches. And I cannot guarantee they will last forever. But there literally is nothing that would cause me to doubt that there two men are very much in love.
Quite simply, there is too much out there. And a lot of it over the past two years after Glee has ended and after they have publicly ignored each other for this period.
IF I am wrong, then two men have gone out of their way to continue to deceive a really small group of fans (trust me i have been to a ton of events, the overwhelming majority believes the PR story) which post-Glee would have little to no benefit to them.
Certainly during Glee, I could have made a solid case for the value of the reverse PR. But not post Glee. At this point, it would be a waste of time and energy. And quite frankly if I found it to be true, it would directly contradict what I think about these two as human beings. Further, if it were reverse PR, there would be no reason for them to avoid each other publicly. The reverse PR would work much better if they interacted and kept up the illusion of a friendship.
And Post Glee, Chris has gone out of his way to continue to talk. I constantly call him the captain of our ship.   It is everywhere, as I said in my response to your original ask, his IG is a treasure trove, both what he directly posts and the posts he likes.  Darren is all over his books and is the inspiration for multiple characters.
And Darren has done everything he is legally able to scream the truth without saying the words or tattoo it on his head. I was just saying to a friend that he must be incredibly frustrated as his fans continue to ignore the evidence he himself provides, including saying “I am gay” during a live feed being broadcast to the internet and recorded for posterity, admitting to the world that the man suspected to be his public gf’s boyfriend does in fact live with them (because a 30 something established musician cannot afford his own home), wearing a “God Made Me Perfect” sticker during the pride parade, wearing a shirt saying “God Save the Queer,” dropping the Col-Fur joke. And on and on and on.
