simon is such a grumpy pants in the morning. not because he has to wake up or he’s tired but because he knows he has to leave you! his body is just clocked to wake up before you, and sometimes he watches you sleep, memorizing how relaxed and soft your features look. or he’s brushing through your hair, peppering featherlight kisses all over your face.

as soon as you wake up he’s throwing the covers off and getting up as if he was never admiring you, grumbling about how hot/cold it is, grabbing your slippers for you and putting them on your feet.

simon won’t let you touch him before he’s dressed or has a cup of tea in his hand, because he knows you’ll try and drag him back to bed. he also knows that he is a weak man, he’ll throw his plans away and stay cuddled up with you all day long.
