You might be thinking. Well simple answer to the methods of my madness. The we can use Anakins height to gauge(?) Ferus’ height and create a time table because idk how old they are in your fic :)

Let’s start from the begin

Jake Lloyd was 9 when he played anakin and was 4’5(135cm(this number was rounded)

Hayden Christiansen was 19 when playing Anakin in ep 2 no was 6’0(182cm)

Now why do we need this information? Basically we’re going to find the average growth (in cm) per year between ages 9-19.

We can take 135cm and divide it by age,9, to give us 15cm. Now this makes sense because you grow a lot from when you were an infant to a young kid but this rapidly growing doesn’t add up when you are older. ( I am not accounting for growth spurts I’m working with a fixed continúes growth) so we 15/2=7.5cm which does mathematically make more sense. So we can set up this equation 7.5x= y which basically means 7.5 times X years (because time is a constant) and Y is height.

Yes we can switch the variables to a different symbol but this makes sense to me, because in my mind, there’s a graph. Very blurry graph but still there :)

Also Give or Take a few cm because no one grows at a constant.

Now the disclaimer I TinyTim am very biased and this is opinion based off of my own and other peoples opinion and my foggy memory.

I always just assumed he was about 2in taller than Anakin

And you can carry this on for when there adults and have him permanently taller. But I like to have fun with it and have him stop around 5’8-5’11 (because I think it’s funny and there’s no way all that stress didn’t do anything to stunt is height yk.)

Now I took 5’8 (177) and divided that by 16 (for already explained reasons) and got a scary number 11.0625 so I just then I divided it by 2= 5.5

So to do this logistically I worked backwards

Anakin surpasses Ferus at 15 Anakin being 5’10 and Ferus at 5’8

My thinking is that the intensity of the backlash towards Star Wars among awful people is that it very obviously opens new avenues to be made fun of for liking the "franchise" (I guess that's what we're calling culture now?). These guys have got to get in front of the wave in case nobody takes them seriously for liking some dumb weird shit for kids. It's like how every comic book person had to make fun of Superman's long johns, point out the obvious so the grander personal failure is accepted.

More Star War Talk: Yeah, I don’t want to chalk it all up to just being “nazis is mad there’s girls and minorities”– because I think that unduly lionizes people who make that argument and like it as, like, being freedom fighters, or some nonsense (I’ve never been like “Thanks for your brave service” to the “representation matters!” people, at least). But it feels like we’re just further off the cliff, on the very ol’ “Growns up having a suffocating affection for childhood toys” battle, where that used to be just a skin-crawling thing but now middle-aged dudes angrily insisting on “Defending their childhood” has somehow become even more psychotically some kind of identity point, because that part of the petri dish put walls up to whatever used to disinfect it; thanks again, internet. I don’t watch Youtube videos, so I really don’t know how bad things have gotten (Youtube videos seem to be the nadir of human thought, which makes the fact they seem more permanent than other social media that much more terrifying, from a “What will future historians think of us” perspective), but I’ve seen people online unironically going “Last Jedi ruined my childhood.” Which … your childhood of jerking off onto Jar Jar Binks action figures? Your childhood of Hayden Christiansen fandom? What childhood didn’t get ruined by, like, there being 5 mediocre-to-horribly-bad Star Wars movies in a row…? But that specific language of grievance is so soaked in with these people. It’s a fucking weird movie to see people react to…

Or what’s weird to me is seeing people say what they wanted to see happen instead – and they just describe the plot of the Return of the Jedi! Without even realizing that’s what they’re doing, which is the spooky part. Or they’re RPG-ing some fantasy where they’re pretending the characters from Force Awakens were more meaningful or more defined to them than could have ever even remotely been the case. Oscar Isaac’s character in Force Awakens was “guy who seemed nice and maybe gay for the black guy.” Whereas … I think that the new movie has major execution issues (I’d had a couple drinks so I didn’t notice the plot didn’t make any any sense until the next day, but I still caught some pretty glaring plot holes), but I think it was interesting at least in its themes, which seemed more interesting than a Star War has mustered up in a long while and … each of the characters have now been repositioned into somewhere that feels different than where those movies have gone before. Its demerits seem obvious, but I think they repositioned this new trilogy as being something new as compared to the dispiriting retread that Force Awakens set up (though that’s bound to be a brief pleasure, once Abrams returns)(and I like Abrams some, but). I think that movie’s math is super-interesting, just… some of the basic nuts and bolts of entertainment and/or “logical storytelling” shot all the way off the boat, and murdered a shark.

Comic reference points are helpful for me on this though because that’s definitely how I’m seeing a lot of the movie, or reaction, just in terms of … one, comics thoroughly prepares a person to watch an audience that says they want things to be unexpected, and then react angrily when things are off-expectation. But two, a lot of the movie underlined for me how… my formative X-Men experiences were with the guy who defined the X-Men, Chris Claremont. And so my experience of seeing later issues, when people I liked jumped on for a little while, was … them not being Claremont, and trying to do Claremont. So you see a similar thing of… they’re playing the notes but they don’t quite know the melody because they’re playing off sheet music whereas Claremont was just playing music. But it’s that thing of… there’s a thing where the notes are off because people are trying to capture how something felt to them as a kid and they go really, really big because when they were kids the underlying thing felt big to them. But in going big, they just sort of lose … that the original players got to those places in less conscious ways… and they miss how the small straightforward qualities of the original have gotten lost and with that getting lost… something else gets lost? Like, the new movie feels very conscious of being a Star War movie, in a way that reminds me of, like, reading Morrison or a handful of post-Morrison X-Men comics…

I don’t know. I like talking about that movie, but it’s also… such a mess. (I just have a hard time understanding if they’re firing directors left and right, why these movies keep not making basic sense plot-wise? Because when I stopped and went “did that story make sense”, hoo-boy did it ever fall apart in my head *fast. But… I mean, I guess no one really watches movies caring about plot, and if the story’s working… ). Or I mean, I don’t think they have any reason to care some Nazis didn’t like it because they’re going to make billions of dollars. But. I don’t know– I just find it interesting.

Dispiriting though– that thing where Disney’s buying everything on Earth … It just seems spooky; these just feel like spooky times. Like, I remember as a kid reading these interviews and roundtables with science fiction authors– I was a nerdy kid– and they’d be like talking about “well, in order to create an alien race we need to figure out the methane quantity in the planet. We’re about extrapolation– we’re very serious extrapolators.” And everything they wrote turned out to be bullshit, from a “what actually the future is like” perspective. For that, you were better off reading, like, some 2000AD comic about a burger-shitty fascist who fucks a gun until the gun gives birth to his burger-baby. Burger-Shitter 3000 turned out to be right; fuck off, Isaac Asimov!!! Harry Harrison used to make fun of Jack Kirby comics, and how stupid they were, but Kirby was like “oh the future’s a bunch of fascists taking over and people living like animals but at least they got cool cell phones.” Kirby was fucking right!!! It’s like if your science fiction story is kinda shitty and about how people are chucklefucks, it’s got a shot at coming true– everything else is bullshit… Burger-Shitter 3000 is our only hope against President Trump and His Nazi Hordes in 2020!! Burger-Shitter 3000 would’ve won…

SPOILER FREE* All 9 Star Wars Films Ranked Worst to Best

Star Wars is one of the most popular franchises in modern cinema. Thanks to George Lucas and the original trilogy, fans have gotten multiple movies, video games, and books that revolve around the three original films. With The Last Jedi now in theatres, it’s time to take a look at where it stacks up with the rest of the saga.

9. Attack of the Clones

The prequels were very poorly received by Star Wars fans and critics alike. The worst of the three prequels, and of the entire Star Wars Saga, has to be Attack of the Clones. Everything about this movie was lacking. The CGI in all three of the prequels looked horrible, but it was super distracting in Episode II. There were very little practical effects used and when they used CGI it was painfully obvious. This was also the first time a CGI Yoda was used which turned out looking worse than just using a puppet. Even Christopher Lee wasn’t able to save this movie. With as much talent as Lee has, the villain should have been the highlight of the film, but his character fell short of expectations much like the rest of the movie.

8. The Phantom Menace

Released sixteen years after Return of the Jedi, The Phantom Menace comes in at number eight on our list. Fans were disappointed with the newest film from a galaxy far far away for a number of reasons. One reason would be the completely different tone and atmosphere that the movie sets up. The story is more about politics than a grand space adventure. This movie attempts to show the origin story for Darth Vader, but Jake Lloyd’s performance as a young Anakin Skywalker left much to be desired. Unlike Attack of the Clones, The Phantom Menace did have some redeeming characteristics, or should I say characters. This movie may have been an extreme disappointment to Star Wars fans, but Lucas did introduce some awesome new characters. Mace Windu, Qui-Gon Jin, and Darth Maul are probably the best three characters introduced in the prequels. Ewan McGregor’s portrayal of the young Obi-Wan Kenobi was also well received for the most part. Adding these characters and an epic lightsaber sequence near the end surely helped the movie, but these elements were pretty much drowned out by all of the other problems this movie faced.

7. Revenge of the Sith

2005 marked the end of the Star Wars prequel trilogy. Did this movie win audiences over and regain people’s trust in George Lucas? Yes and no… but mainly no. The movie did cater to fans by showing the climax of the Anakin/Obi-Wan conflict and the rise of Darth Vader, but it still faces many problems and backlashes. While it may be the best of the prequels, the dialogue and acting were sometimes laughable. Hayden Christiansen gets a lot of criticism for his role as Anakin, and it is well deserved. In short, his acting brought down the overall quality of the film. Even though it wasn’t great, the film did still manage to tie into A New Hope smoothly and show an intense lightsaber fight between Obi-Wan and Anakin. Revenge of the Sith delivered in a lot of ways, but still fell flat of the original trilogy’s magic.

6. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

With the record breaking opening of The Force Awakens, it was only a matter of time before Disney decided to make more Star Wars movies that didn’t have to do with the main characters of the new trilogy. The first of these “Star Wars Stories” came Rogue One which was about the rebellion’s journey to destroying the Death Star. With this being the first Star Wars spin-off, it was smart for them to focus on a story that takes place right before A New Hope. This allowed for the return of many famous Star Wars characters including, Darth Vader, Princess Leia, General Tarkin, and many others. It was fun seeing these characters on screen again, but the same can’t be said for the new characters. The new characters lacked a lot of character development. The only character to be somewhat developed was Jyn, and even that just barely scraped the surface. Rogue One is far superior to the prequel trilogy, but then again, that isn’t hard to accomplish.

5. The Last Jedi

The Last Jedi is that sequel that just can’t beat its predecessor. The Last Jedi was a fun film that gave both Luke and Leia bigger roles than they previously had in The Force Awakens. While it was cool to see these characters interact with the new generation of characters, the film had some glaring problems. One of these problems pertained to the lead villain which is a huge problem for a film as big as Star Wars. The second big problem was the unanswered questions that weren’t answered from The Force Awakens. The special effects on the other hand were top notch. The light saber battles and X-Wing battles were some of the examples of how great special effects and CGI can really be. The Last Jedi was quite the ride, but it just couldn’t top The Force Awakens or the original trilogy.

4. The Force Awakens

Creating a new Star Wars movie when the original trilogy is so popular can be tough, as George Lucas found out in 1999. This could explain why J.J Abrams made The Force Awakens so similar to A New Hope. Even though some consider this a remake of A New Hope, it was still a solid beginning to the sequel trilogy. It succeeded at introducing new hero’s including Rey and Finn, and the villain Kylo Ren. All of these characters became immensely popular after the release which is one reason why the film did so well. The other reason the film did well was because the filmmakers catered to the original trilogy. Han, Luke, Leia, and Chewbacca all return for The Force Awakens. Mixing the old characters with the New was a nice way of keeping the movie fresh and still keeping original fans happy. Even though it doesn’t beat any of the original trilogy, it was still a mile ahead of the prequels.

3. Return of the Jedi

Even though it’s considered the weakest entry of the original trilogy, Return of the Jedi still beats out all three of the prequel movies and the two sequel films. The main complaint people have with this third film are the Ewoks since it made the tone so much lighter than Empire Strikes Back. While this film was a disappointment compared to Empire, it still had an original story with a lot of unique scenes. We finally get to see the Emperor in his full glory as well as Vader without his helmet. Luke and Leia’s family dynamic was also revealed in this film which was as fascinating as it was gross. Even though Return of Jedi was the weakest entry to the original trilogy, it was still a satisfying end to an era.

2. A New Hope

The Star Wars that started it all comes in at our number two spot. Episode IV: A New Hope, originally just titled Star Wars introduces fans to one of cinema’s most iconic trio; Han, Luke, and Leia. While none of them had an elaborate back story, they were all introduced in a smooth way that made the characters instantly likable. Star Wars had the perfect amount of action, comedy, and drama that ended up becoming an international phenomenon. George Lucas also invented what is arguably the greatest movie villain ever made. Star Wars was the beginning of an entire new universe of unique weapons, vehicles, and wardrobes that are still one of a kind. It’s also worth mentioning that this film received six Oscars and was nominated for another four in 1978. Star Wars stands as one of the best fantasy films ever made, but there is still one that beats the original.

1. The Empire Strikes Back

Hands down, The Empire Strikes Back wins the number one spot. Not very often do you get a sequel that surpasses its predecessor, but just that happened in 1980. The Empire Strikes Back has everything you could ever want in a Star Wars film. It’s got epic lightsaber fights, a romance between Han and Leia, and another legendary score composed by John Williams. Not only do the original cast return, but we also get introduced to a range of new characters as well. Yoda, Lando Calrissian, and Boba Fett all make their debuts in the Empire Strikes Back and they have become just as popular as the original cast. This sequel was a little darker than the original, but that’s one of the many reasons why this film stands out above the others in the Star Wars franchise.
