'...You’ve featured in the television adaptations of both Good Omens and The Sandman, so you’re a familiar face for many fans of Neil Gaiman! Did you feel that sense of familiarity when approaching The Sandman, or did the differing tones of both stories and the contrasting roles you were given mean that your experience working on each of them was very different?
“I had no idea when I was cast as Harriet Dowling in Good Omens that I would have the privilege of inhabiting yet another of Neil Gaiman’s incredible worlds years later. Neil is one of the most exciting, courageous, and brilliant minds of our time, and I always feel so exhilarated stepping onto one of his sets. Good Omens and The Sandman are very distinct tonally, as were my roles, which contributed to the experiences feeling very different to each other. It’s quite a thrill being able to play characters that are so contrasting. I mean, can you imagine Harriet Dowling having coffee with The Good Doctor?”
Is it challenging to take on such iconic stories which are already loved by a huge fanbase? How do you approach that, and what has it been like for you to see the fan reception to the adaptations of The Sandman and Good Omens?
“There’s definitely a pressure to do justice to the extraordinary source material that is so beloved by fans the world over. Luckily, I was in very safe hands with the creative team and my fellow cast. My process involves doing as much research and preparation as I possibly can, and then trusting that enough to throw it all away and, as Sanford Meisner famously said, “live truthfully under imaginary circumstances.” Seeing the fan response to both Good Omens and The Sandman has meant so much. In my opinion, these fandoms are as good as it gets – the epitome of creative and kind humans.”

Mrs. Dowling: If something happened to Warlock, I couldn't live with myself. Mrs. Dowling: Of course I wouldn't have to, because I'm pretty sure Nanny Ashtoreth would kill me.

From the DVD commentary, episode 1:
Neil: The wonderful thing about Good Omens all the way through was the amount of goodwill. There was love for the book, and people came in because they wanted to do it. You know, Danny [Daniel Mays - Arthur Young] is amazing. There's Nick Offerman [Thaddeus Dowling] who offered to fly himself to South Africa to be in it, and we turned him down and we flew him, but he came to South Africa for two days of shooting in a tiny part, because he loved Good Omens, because he wanted to do it.
Douglas: And our first AD [assistant director] said to him in South Africa, 'You've come a long way for only a few lines.', and he said, 'I would have come twice as far for half the lines.'

you know those little nonsense crossovers you make up in your head and always mean to eventually share??
well
so
i like to think that the sandman and good omens are in the same universe. obviously everyone jumps to haha lucifer is crowleys boss BUT HEAR ME OUT
even more interesting would be. so. the actress who plays harriet dowling (warlocks mom) in good omens is jill winternitz. the serial killer who goes by “the good doctor” in the sandman is also jill winternitz. AND in the sandman her real name is never used.
i think it would be SO FUNNY if warlock dowlings mother, wife of the US ambassador, was a serial killer who runs a convention for other serial killers. and theres nothing contradictory about thinking it!!
think about it: the good doctor clearly has a lot of time, money, and resources at her disposal. she can travel wherever she want easily, can afford tools for murder and would have easy disposal locations. plus, her thing is that she keeps organs from her victims. you have to be educated and be able to afford good quality medical equipment.
harriet dowlings husband is always away working. her son was raised full time by nanny astoreth and brother francis. she had tons of money and education. she had easy travel whenever she wanted.
idk. just a thought.

The latest chapter of my GOmens longfic has gone up! I'm going to be able to post these a lot more regularly now. Check it out!
It's set after season 1 (only canonical up to the end of that season), and follows Warlock and Harriet's lives, five years after the non-apocalypse.
On a trip to London with his friends, sixteen-year-old Warlock Dowling comes across an old bookshop that he is inexplicably drawn to, and is more than surprised to find his old nanny and gardener apparently running it. Over time, their lives are drawn back into each other's, as everything else seems to be falling apart. Featuring Warlock and Harriet's POVs, Crowley and Aziraphale passing as a human couple, and Thaddeus passing as a jerk.

So look, I know there are a lot of other ways to write a Good Omens/Sandman crossover but.
But.
All I'm saying is that the actress playing the serial killer The Good Doctor is the actress that plays Harriet Dowling
....Maybe Harriet found a new hobby?

More vibes - this time, it’s hurt and comfort. Please take extra care when reading the tags and the trigger warnings!
As always, all the fics are focusing on supporting characters, rated G or T and  are SFW. The description includes rating, word count, main characters  and main CW.
In the next weeks the focus will be about stories post-canon, please send recs for stories that focus on supporting characters (as in, Aziraphale and Crowley are not the main ones). Self recs are encouraged!
Sister Snake, Nanny Serpent by @ineffableghost - 1.7K, G, focusing on Warlock, Nanny Ashtoreth and Brother Francis. Summary: If a toy snake was all Warlock had to remember them by - those who, if not called his parents, were still the ones who were there for him, who listened when he wanted to share something, who held him when he wanted comfort, who patched him up when he was sick or hurt - at least, he thought, it was something with a little of both of them in it.
Saturday Mourning by nephiliminality - 915 words, G, focusing on Lesly the International Express Man and Maud. cw - Temporary character death. Summary: A few hours after Lesley goes out on a few local jobs, Maud gets a knock at the door.
Fever by Lady_of_the_Spirit - 842 words, G, focusing on Adam Young and the four horsepeople. cw - Sickfic Summary: Antichrists, it turns out, can still get sick. Whether this is just a side-effect of Adam’s powers, the influence of Adam’s belief that he should get sick every once in a while like every other child, or just one of those things that regular human children go through, none of the Horsepeople know for certain. All they know is that they have a nine-year-old home for the week, sick with a fever.
Reason to Believe by killerweasel - 778 words, G, focusing on Sandalphon and Asmodeus Summary: How Sandalphon and Asmodeus met.
Blackbird In The Dead Of Night by corgifeathers - 2.7K, G, focusing on Beelzebub and Hastur. Summary: Hastur struggles in the Post Non-Apocalypse era. Beelzebub attempts to comfort him.
Tearing Wings Off A Fly by Stranded_In_The_Cosmos - 1.3K, T, focusing on Beelzebub, Gabriel, Ligur and Hastur. cw - blood, injury. Summary: Beelzebub is called into Lucifer's office about their wings, just what are they hiding, and why do they lie about them? They must fight to prove Satan wring about them having a weakness, but unfortunately, Ligur has other plans when he sees them.
pickle and nutella sandwiches on rye by RainingPrince - 1.3K, T, focusing on Harriet Dowling, Harriet’s sister and Thaddeus J. Dowling. cw - Pregnancy, food, (brief!) mention of a dead animal (related to Schroedinger's cat paradox), brief body/size thoughts and mentioned diet culture, brief mention of a dead parent (past). Summary: She honestly wasn’t sure which option was worse.
Foreign Country by @unproblematicme - 730 words, T, focusing on Anathema Device and Newt Pulsifer. Summary: Anathema struggles with her new life without prophecies.
You Know You'll Never Leave Me by SeedsOfWinter - 2.4K, T, focusing on Young Shadwell  and Madame Tracy. cw - consent, alcohol consumption, historically accurate implied homophobia. Summary: With Tracy offering comfort and understanding, the re-heartbroken Corporal Shadwell tells her the truth about his ex.
Abel by Sir_Bedevere - 1.5K, T, focusing on Adam from Eden, Eve, Cain, Abel, Crowley and Aziraphale. cw - blood and violence. Summary: A demon watches over the death of the second child, afraid that he will be punished for his mercy. An angel watches over the death of the second child, afraid of his guilt.
Bonus - master list with all past recommendations!
Thanks for reading, and remember - sharing is caring!

Here we go! New Podfic up and out! This one is AppleSeeds's delightful "Bodywork Inspection", wherein Crowley overshares online, and is overheard by his hot mechanic, Aziraphale. Awkward romantic antics ensue!
Link to the original fic is here, if you'd rather just read it: https://archiveofourown.org/works/34471234 Very Respectfully,

I have pondered on this many a time before and came to the conclusion that the whole Find-the-Lady game that happened with the babies was God's misdirection to drop off the Messiah when no one was expecting it, with all eyes on the Antichrist. After all "of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only." (Matthew 24:36)
Let me lay out my brain logic:
Johnson is a name that comes from Son of John. John means "God is gracious". God-is-gracious-son. ("What was it he said that got everyone so upset?" "Be kind to one another")
The Christ part of Jesus Christ comes from the Greek word Christos which literally translates to anointed one. Anointing is generally done with oil. Grease is "a thick oily substance". So we have Anointed God-is-Gracious-son.
Jesus was famous for hoarding fishermen who became fishers of men and also for doing fishy miracles. Also Ichthus, a symbol still used in the church today, is a fish. Greasy Johnson won prizes for his fish.
The Antichrist was prophesied to be a rival to Christ - Greasy Johnson and the Johnsonites were rivals to the Antichrist and the Them.
Based on the Nativity stuff, Jesus was born via a human the first time around so it makes sense for the same to happen second time around (unlike Adam, as far as we know - Sister Mary asked and we never got an answer to it and he turned up in a basket)
From what I remember, when Neil and Terry mentioned the potential sequel, it was going to involve America. In the Nativity, Jesus and his family had to go back to the place where his human parents came from. If Greasy Johnson does a DNA test, it will lead him back to America and to Harriet Dowling.
