Cuddling Headcanons with The Scarecrows
Arkhamverse Scarecrow:
Jon would really prefer if you didn’t cuddle with him.
Perhaps before the Killer Croc incident he was more welcoming to the idea.
He was open to having his arm around you and you wrapped around him.
After the incident, while he won’t admit it, he’s more self-concious of his…body and flesh not being..what it was.
Jon doesn’t understand why you want to cuddle him now after the incident.
No matter how hard he tries to ignore it, to feel indifferent, he can’t deny the human need for physical touch.
You’ll still likely have to initiate most of the cuddling, like resting your head on his shoulder, or wrapping your arm around his.
And instead of shrugging you off, he just silently accepts his fate.
BTAS Scarecrow:
Absolutely flustered.
A red blushing mess that rivals his red shirt and hair.
Jon isn’t sure what he’s supposed to do–
He tries to muster the confidence to wrap his arm around you in return…
For as much as he refers to himself as the Master of Fear and the Lord of Despair…
As much as he may deny needing it, he adores being close and near you.
To know that you feel comfortable enough with him to cuddle with him.
It means more than any moniker of his.
TNBA Scarecrow:
Jonathan is honestly surprised you would even want to cuddle him.
He knows he doesn’t exactly exude a very warm and pleasant aura.
Let alone someone you would want to cuddle with.
He’s shocked when you feel at ease enough to nestle into his side.
Jon’s body stiffens, not wanting to disturb you.
Like BTAS Jon, he isn’t sure what he should do…if he should do anything?
He can’t deny…he does…like having you this close to him.
Fear State Scarecrow:
You’re lucky to even see him or be in the same room long enough to be able to cuddle with him.
When he’s on the couch with his nose stuck in books and notebooks, you take a chance.
At first, Jon is rather annoyed.
He soon gave up trying to shove you off or discomfort you so that you would leave.
Then the side of his body that you leaned against began warming up which spread through the rest of his body.
Jonathan sighs setting his pen and book down in defeat.
He leans back against the sofa with you at his side and he rests his head against yours as he slightly dozes off alongside you.
Year One Scarecrow:
Once Jonathan gets used to the close proximity–he can’t get enough of cuddling.
Cuddling with you has become one of his ultimate favorite comforts in life.
When you two cuddle, Jonathan has never felt more closer to Heaven.
Like other Jons, I imagine this Jonathan can run cold sometimes, so he definitely depends on your warmth most of the time.
There are a few nights when Jon struggles to sleep.
On night like these, your arms enveloping his body is the only thing to bring him back from the brink of despair.
Jonathan immediately sinks his body into yours as some tears softly flow.
He’s able to go back to sleep, thanks to the warmth and security of your arms.
Masters of Fear Scarecrow:
Jonathan can’t imagine a more perfect night in.
You two snuggled up together in bed or on the couch.
He could be reading to you, you reading to him, or you two reading beside each other.
All that matters is that you two are close and connected.
Whether that means your heads are leaned against each other or you two are holding hands.
The closer and the more contact the better.
So no matter how wrapped up Jon may get into his story…
You will still be there in reality and not someone of fiction like a character in a story.
Happy Halloween, Scooby-Doo Scarecrow:
Definitely the type to pretend he isn’t into it.
Rolls his eyes every time you try and lean in for some cuddles whenever you’re having a moment of domesticity.
Jon will haphazardly return the gesture by wrapping his arm lazily around you or scooting a centimeter closer.
However, no matter how hard he tries to deny it…you both know the truth.
Jon honestly lives for moments like this.
For all the excitement but also very chaotic and unstable…
Since he’s started this relationship with you, he has definitely grown to love the calmness of it.
And nothing seals the feeling of comfort and warmth than being wrapped in your arms.
Harley Quinn: TAS Scarecrow:
Ohhh he loves them and he loves them openly.
Honestly, if you somehow don’t reciprocate his initiation for cuddles or you don’t automatically cuddle into his side.
Jonathan will automatically think he did something wrong or you’re upset/uncomfortable about something.
He will cuddle up to you anywhere, no matter what.
On the couch, in bed, standing in line, sharing a seat in a booth…
He loves having his arms wrapped around you somehow and your body against his.
Jon adores it when you link your arm with his and lean your head against his arm or his shoulder.
The man wants to wake up cuddling and go to sleep cuddling with you and every waking moment in between.

Could you do a Scarecrow/Jonathan Crane (Happy Halloween, Scooby-Doo!) x Autistic! Reader, who is a Halloween fan just like him, pretty please? :///3
Hello! Yes! I finally finished this! The autistic part comes in about halfway through the story, but it's there! I promise!
I may have ended up drawing a bit too much from my own experience as an autistic person. I know not everyone experiences sensory overload the same way or at all, but I hope you like it!
Halloween was their night. A night that held significance to them both above all others. More than any other holiday or their regular date nights. More than either of their birthdays, and even more than their anniversary. Dr. Jonathan Crane and his partner lived for Halloween, and they showed their love for the day with as much enthusiasm as they did their love for each other.
Every year, on the first of October, they would decorate. And every single year, their home was a sight to behold. A spectacle of black and orange, fun and horror for all who lived on their block to enjoy. The more traditional ghosts and skeletons would hang from the trees, looming over tombstones with amusing inscriptions. Animate statues of horror movie icons lining the walkway up to a front deck covered in hand-carved jack o'lanterns of every variety from spooky to silly. And Jonathan's favorite part of the display… The hay bales and post.
Oh, they didn't seem like much on their own throughout the month. But on Halloween night, Jonathan would don his Scarecrow attire and take his position on the post. Perhaps it was the realism in comparison to the other decorations. Maybe it was the curiosity that this particular scarecrow seemed to attract more crows than he frightened away. But inevitably, curious trick-or-treaters would come up to investigate. And when the children had gathered 'round, mouths agape and eyes searching for even the slightest sign of movement, he would jump down and yell.
"HROO-HRAAA!!"
Some of the startled youngsters would scream and scatter into the night. But the brave ones, the ones who stuck around were always rewarded. King size candy bars, bestowed upon them by Jon's loving companion.
Of course, the couple had another important tradition. And that was their attendance of the local Halloween Festival.
It was easily one of Jon's favorite parts of the season(second only to scaring children). But it was actually his partner who always insisted on going. To them, the festival was the pinnacle of the entire Halloween experience. The snacks, the games, the apple cider. The haunted hayride and the opportunity for everyone to show off their costumes. These were the things Halloween was about for them, and they were the very things the festival provided. And so they would skip around the fairgrounds in their costume, pulling Jonathan close behind them. They would bob for apples, tour the haunted house attraction, and gorge themself on enough sweets to make anyone sick. To them, it was absolute bliss.
At least at the start. As much as Halloween was their hyperfixation, there WAS such a thing as too much of a good thing. Jon had seen the crash every year.
Of course, he was aware that his love was autistic. And, naturally, he knew what that entailed. After so much exposure, the lights would be too bright, the crowds too loud, and their costume too itchy and uncomfortable to manage. It would all become too much to process and a headache would be the least of their worries if they decided to push themself. And blessedly, Jon would never let them.
He knew what signs to look for. They might start to feel too warm. Or maybe their response to a loud or sudden noise would be more noticeable. Not just in how they would jump or flinch, but even in the way they covered their ears. Other times, they could be more irritable, briefly snapping at him although it would be followed up with a quiet apology. He never took it personally. He knew it wasn't him that was bothering them. But when they had reached that point, he knew it was time to get them away from the cacophony of sensory input.
And so each year, without fail, he would locate the quickest escape route and lead them out of the crowd to their quiet place. A corn maze on the edge of the fair grounds. Not the haunted corn maze attraction you might expect to see at such an event. Just a simple maze where the two of them could go for a walk and get lost, away from all of the chaos for a while.
At first, the pair would walk with a couple of feet between them, Jon wanting to make sure that his partner would have some time to come down from the sensory overload. But as the quiet minutes under the starlight passed, eventually, they would let him know they were ready by taking his hand. The two would walk in silence until they found the exit, where they could sit on a couple of hay bales and talk until they were ready to go home. And each year, just before standing up to leave, Jonathan would rub the back of their hand with his thumb and smile. "Happy Halloween, my love."
"Happy Halloween, Jon."

Things That Go Bump In the Night
Genre: Paranormal/Supernatural AU
Pairing: Jason Todd x Fem!Reader

Warnings: Swearing
Description: You, Jason, Dick, and Kori got to what’s supposed to be one of those stereotypical Halloween haunted houses, but you all have bit off more than you could chew.
A/N: I’m not gonna lie I kinda got the idea of an actual haunted house from Scooby Doo: The Goblin King. Scooby and Shaggy find out monsters are real and the character of Mystic in this is based off the dude who runs that shop Scooby and Shaggy go to (except Mystic is more of a dick). Anyway, enjoy!
Halloween was Jason’s favorite time of year. Given that you lived in Gotham that was surprising to you. “Don’t you get enough of the costumes and scary things as it is?” You had asked him once.
His response, “Okay, but that’s work, this is fun.”
This year you, Jason, Kori, and Dick had all decided to go to one of those fake haunted houses and be scared by the likes of Freddie Krueger, Jason, Mike Myers, and all the other horror movie legends. You had researched and found a house on the outskirts of Gotham that looked like a good place to go and the four of you had hopped in the car and headed to the location.
Kori had never gone to a haunted house before and was excited to experience it for the first time. “Just remember not to blast anyone,” Dick was telling her, a teasing look on his face.
She rolled her eyes at him, “I am not that bad.”
“Kori, I watched you almost fry the toaster one time because you weren’t ready for the toast to come out,” Jason said with a smirk. “Try to remember these aren’t bad guys that need to be shot down.”
“All right everyone, place your bets now on who you think is going to crack first and be the most scared,” you said as you placed a cup on the center console. “Last person to crack or get scared takes everything.”
Money was dumped into the cup and you hid it from sight so no one who passed your car would notice it and try to break in. Even though you weren’t in Gotham proper you were still in Gotham.
The four of you climbed out of the car and toward the ticket counter. The older gentleman behind the counter smiled at you and said, “Welcome to Mystic’s Halloween Mayhem, just the four of you?”
Dick nodded, “Yep!” And handed over the money for the tickets.
“Have a good evening and enjoy the thrills and chills of my haunted house!” The man said with a flourish letting them walk up the little dirt path toward the house. He watched them a chuckle escaping him, “They’re in for the scare of their lives.” Then he and the ticket counter disappeared.
The house was your stereotypical haunted house. You were pretty sure you’d seen it on an episode of Scooby Doo once. “It’s like someone built this place specifically to be used as a haunted house,” you said as you began to step up onto the rickety old porch.
“Yes, I agree with Y/N,” Kori said. “But something does not feel right,” as if on queue a gust of wind blew past time and caused each of them to shiver.
“Well that wasn’t odd at all,” Jason remarked.
The front door opened of its own accord and Dick hid behind Kori and said, “This place is really pulling out all the stops.”
“Come on,” you tugged them inside and just as you all made it through the door slammed shut behind you causing you to jump. You had known it was gonna happen, but it still got you anyway.
Candles lit by some unseen force and showed you the path you were supposed to follow. The four of you shared a look, but moved forward. At first everything was fine and then a shadow slithered up the wall causing Jason to jump since he was the closest one to it. “What that fuck?!” He looked at the three of you, “Did you see that?!”
Dick and Kori shook their heads, but you were eyeing the wall. “You okay there, Jaybird?”
He turned back to where he had seen the shadow and said a bit absentmindedly, “Yeah… yeah I’m all right. Let’s go.”
You all started to move again, but a new sound had you freezing again.
“AARRWOOO!”
You felt the hairs on your body stand at attention and Jason’s hand tightened around yours. Kori stiffened, “What was that?”
“It sounded like a… like a--”
“Werewolf,” Jason finished for you.
A low growl came from behind and when the four of you turned you saw somewhere wearing the best werewolf costume you had ever seen. It was on two legs and there was saliva dripping from its mouth. “Run,” you said, your voice shaking as your adrenaline and fear spiked.
They didn’t need to be told twice and you all bolted down the hall, you heard the werewolf chasing you, but when you made it through a doorway the door slammed shut and the body of the werewolf hit it. “That felt too real,” Dick said as he bent over to try and catch his breath and calm down.
“Did you hear the way it slammed into the door?” Jason shivered. “I’ve got a bad feeling about this place.”
“We need to look for an exit,” you chimed in. “I don’t like this either.”
“Do you think it’s fear toxin?” Kori asked. “Could this be a trick, someone altering our minds?”
Dick and Jason shared a look, “This doesn’t feel like Scarecrow’s fear toxin. We would be seeing things with each other as well.”
Something glowing caught your attention and you saw a corporeal form of a woman watching you from around the corner. You patted Jason on the arm and pointed toward her. He jumped slightly, a hand covering his heart when he realized that it wasn’t another werewolf hellbent on eating them. “Do you think she can lead us out of here?” You asked him as the four of you huddled together.
“What if the innocent façade is just an act?” Dick asked as he glanced over toward you. “She could turn into some hideous monster and chase us.”
“She is currently blocking our only path of escape,” Kori chimed in. “Unless you want to risk it with the werewolf.”
“Forward it is,” you said, and you cautiously took a few steps toward the glowing girl. “Um excuse me? Could you possibly show us the way out?”
She let out a terrifying wail at your words and leapt back just as Jason let out a terrified scream. “Man fuck this place!”
You walked over to the lone window in the room and tried to pry it open. When it wouldn’t budge you turned to Jason and asked, “Jay sweetie do you have your gun on you?
“You told me no weapons!”
“The one time we need your trigger happy ass to have a gun and you don’t have one,” Dick sighed.
“Y/N said that we wouldn’t need it! It was supposed to be a normal date night, not trapped in the house from Hell!”
“I may be of some assistance,” Kori stepped up and used her powers to try and burst through the window, but it bounced off the glass and hit the wall.
It was then that you all realized you would have to make your way through the rest of the house to get out. If you could get out…
There were a few more jump scares and you were chased by some sort of demon. Jason was practically dragging you through that house and when you reached a door that led back to where you had come in at. Dick was the one that tried it and when it swung open without any problems the four of you bolted out of there quicker than the Flash, the door slamming shut behind you.
All four of you were bent over trying to catch your breath and thank whoever was watching out for you that you had managed to get out of there in one piece. When you turned back to look at the house it was gone. “Uh guys, look.” Everyone turned. “It’s gone.”
“Next year,” Jason said as he stood up straight. “We’re staying home and passing out candy.”
“Deal,” you all agreed.
“What do you guys say we go buy some candy and go back to the manor to watch some comedies for the rest of the evening? I could use something happy.” A round of agreements once again rang through your small group as you made your way back to the car.
In the shadows of the night Mystic watched the group leave and laughed to himself. “Another year, another successful scare.” He patted the werewolf on the back, “Come on buddy, we’ve got a whole year to prep before our next opening.” The werewolf growled in response and the two of them disappeared into the astral plane.

Well, now I want to see the reaction of different versions of Johnny (Scarecrow) to the death of his S/O...
a/n: so the angst continues lol. I'm dealing with a lot of social anxiety that makes me wanna die so it just felt fitting to carry on lmao. The Mad Hatters are next 💙
Content Warning: death mentions, implied violence, and some blood/gore mentions, and heavy angst.
The Scarecrows React to Reader Dying in Their Arms
Arkhamverse Scarecrow:
Jonathan has long thought to be void of emotions.
You being the only person that made him feel anything.
When your body fell, Jon’s heart fell to the pit of his stomach.
Despite his injured leg, he immediately falls to his knees to try and treat your wounds.
He’s panting, his heart pounding, as he shakes his head in disbelief.
Fear…fear overcame him like he’s never known…even more than when he faced his own near death.
Jon tried to stop the bleeding, tried to relieve your pain.
Fear…despair…guilt…
Jonathan went from being void of emotion to…suffocatingly overwhelmed with them.
Nolanverse/Murphy Scarecrow:
Jonathan is in denial.
However, as he watched blood flow out from your wound, your body withering in pain.
Jon is dragged back to the harsh reality.
He attempts to calm you down, he understands it hurts, but you’re losing blood.
Jonathan barely makes out your faint voice telling him you love him.
He’s unsure how to respond as if reciprocating the sentiment will cement your fate.
Jon did tell you he loved you, but soon after begged you to hold on, and reassured you would be okay…
Even though he knew deep down it’s a lie.
BTAS Scarecrow:
No…no, no, no, NO!
Jonathan rushes to your air, the bullet still ringing in his ear.
He cried, screamed for help from anyone as he cradled you into his arms.
Jon removed his mask and tried to put pressure on the wound.
He shushed you as you began whimpering, he told you to try and relax and breathe. Help is on the way…
Jon continued to say reassuring things to you, but he can’t tell if it’s more for you or himself.
Jonathan was always scared it would come to this.
His worst nightmare…to lose you…became a reality.
TNBA Scarecrow:
Everything moved in slow motion.
The knife sheathed into your chest, you fell to your knees after the knife was roughly torn out of you.
Jonathan’s first thought is to douse the assailant with fear toxin–show them fear–
But he saw you quickly losing blood as your face grew pale and decided against it.
Jon’s mind began racing–no way to contact help, too far out to make it to a hospital.
He still wanted to refuse the inevitable, that you are dying.
For your last remaining moments, he tried to make you as comfortable as possible.
You slowly faded away to Jonathan telling you he loves you and that he’s gravely sorry.
Fear State Scarecrow:
You weren’t supposed to be there.
Jonathan was in the midst of his most potent toxin yet.
And you were hit head first with it when you walked in and he thought he had the door locked.
Jon tried to calm you down as your heart continued to pound–wanting to leap from your chest.
You were panting, choking on the very air you breathed, every breath turning into a scream–
Until your heart stopped altogether and the room got quiet.
Jonathan is shocked as you fall lifelessly into his arms.
Now it was his turn to live out his worst fear.
Year One Scarecrow:
Jonathan was panicking.
He fought between leaving you to get help or staying with you to tend to your wounds.
He decides to stay until he can get you stable enough to find help or find a way to call for help.
Jonathan doesn't want to admit it but the situation looks dire.
He tried to stay strong for you, not show any sign of weakness.
But there was no denying you were dying, it hurt even more to admit there was nothing he could do about it.
Jon refused to let you see him cry though. He continued to comfort you and reassured you until the end.
When your eyes closed and you drew your last breath was when he finally broke down.
Masters of Fear Scarecrow:
As you tried to hold in your blood, you heard Jonathan’s mortified screams.
Jonathan held you bridal style in his lap as he tried to stop the bleeding and prop your head.
He steadily muttered the words "no, no, please…" and "please don't leave me…"
Jonathan looked around. For any signs of another figure.
For the time Batman stalked him, why couldn't it have been tonight?
Jonathan continued checking your pulse, his actions more frantic as your pulse got weaker.
It didn't take long for him to start sniffling despite how hard he tried to look strong for you.
He can't help but feel like he had this coming for a long time, he just wished it was him instead of you.
Happy Halloween, Scooby-Doo Scarecrow:
Jonathan doesn't want to believe what he just saw.
But when you weakly croaked at his name and reached out for him–
Jonathan knew he had to stay with you, despite the instinct to run and get help.
His stern voice was laced with softness as he told you that you were okay and he was there and wasn't going to leave.
Jon tried to begin tending to your injuries as much as he could but you were fading fast.
He wasn't one to give up so easily, but he also knew the logistics that you weren't going to make it.
Jon kissed your temple and cheek as you slowly drew your last breath.
He just wanted to make sure you knew in the end how precious you were to him.
Harley Quinn:TAS Scarecrow:
Jonathan’s voice cracked as he cried out your name.
This-this wasn’t supposed to happen!
He doesn't even try to hide his horror as he drops to his knees beside you.
Jon is almost scared to touch or hold you, worried that he might hurt you more.
He choked on his own tears as he saw the color slowly drain from your face.
He does find the courage to gently prop you against his chest and rub your arm in a soothing motion.
Jon shook his head, verbally beating himself up over what happened.
Before Jon finally gave into his tears, you used the remainder of your energy to tell him you loved him and it wasn't his fault.

Jealousy Scenarios w/ The Scarecrows
Arkhamverse Scarecrow:
Jonathan thinks that, much like fear, he’s above jealousy.
Which is exactly why he’s not…jealous of you spending time with the Arkham Knight.
He’s mostly confused, you should be by his side…he’s the orchestrator of this whole night.
Jonathan will likely think he’s hiding his displeasures, but he actually makes it painfully obvious.
Jonathan insists…almost demands you stay with him. He finds tasks for you to do…he even begins being more physical with you.
You know you shouldn’t push it, but you enjoy the idea that he cares enough to be jealous in the first place.
And you don’t miss the soft lool on his face when he notices you staying with him more often.
Nolanverse/Murphy Scarecrow:
Jonathan didn’t want too think much of the new psychologist at Arkham Asylum.
He didn’t…at first until they began openly flirting with you.
Jonathan could barely swallow his resentment when he saw you smiling and laughing with them.
He’d grit his teeth and clench his fists.
You were far too kind and welcoming for your own good.
Jonathan makes an extra effort to be more present at Arkham.
You’re surprised to see him more often, but you’re enjoying having him with you more.
He sneaks kisses on your cheek and whispers compliments in your ear…
However, you can’t help but wonder where that new doctor went…who has been missing for almost a week now.
Batman The Animated Series Scarecrow:
Jonathan aways knew it would be a bad idea to allow you to meet his more…eccentric colleagues.
But he didn’t think it would be because they were trying to charm you off your feet.
Jonathan is silently seething in the corner, steam about to burst out of his ears.
Jervis made you giggle. Edward made you blush…
It took everything for Jonathan not to drag you away and keep you to himself again.
But he didn’t want to take any chance to upset you, so he silently seethed.
Until you come over and hug him…showing appreciation in him trusting you to meet his friends.
Jonathan instantly melts when you kiss his cheek, instantly comforting him without you knowing.
The New Batman Adventures Scarecrow:
This Scarecrow…was always weary of someone better coming your way.
You are so bright and joyous, you deserved better than him.
It was only a matter of time, until the proper partner for you came along.
He’s unsure what to do when he sees you hanging out with a co-worker.
Jonathan wants to snatch you away, make your co-worker undergo a terror they’ve never imagined…and just keep you to himself from now on.
Just before he could dig himself deeper into his envy, you show up with your bright smile and a welcoming kiss.
You love him openly, unconditionally every time…and this dissipates the gnawing jealousy in his heart.
Fear State Scarecrow:
Like other Scarecrows, this Jonathan is incredibly observant.
He’s aware of you being extra cheerful or distracted lately.
It doesn’t take long for thoughts and assumptions to come up in his mind.
Some childhood friend of yours has come back to town. Possibly some feelings being re-kindled as well.
Ironically enough, he feeds himself into his own fear of losing you to someone else.

But every time you reassure him, you continue to stay by his side.
Jonny grows more secure in the relationship and less jealous…eventually.
Masters of Fear Scarecrow:
Like earlier Scarecrows, he tries to ignore it.
He knows you’re faithful, he knows you love him and wouldn’t leave him…
But just so everyone knows you’re his…
Jonathan will always keep a hand on your person.
Whether it’s your hand, your shoulder, or the small of your back.
He will conveniently come up with plans so you couldn’t go out with someone he feels threatened by.
It doesn’t take long for you to notice his jealousy.
You’re quick to reassure him that he has nothing to worry about
Harley Quinn: The Animated Series Scarecrow:
Definitely tries to hide his jealousy.
But masks it….terribly.
He can’t help it…he adores you, but he knows other people like you too!
How could they not want to spend time with you?
Jonathan tries not to show his discomfort, but you can tell from how fidgety he is.
His fiddling with his hands, he’s shrugging, and is less sure of himself…more than usual.
You try to includ ehim, if you can’t, you assure him that you two will spend some quality time together.
Jonathan instantly perks right up and doesn’t learn why he got jealous in the first place…
Until he gets jealous again.
Happy Halloween Scooby-Doo Scarecrow:
Likely believes he’s too old or mature to ever get jealous.
Unlike other Scarecrows, you’re likely to try and make him jealous than do it by accident.
Just to see what he’s like…and maybe prove a point out of spite.
Not much works, since he can tell you’re trying to get a rise out of him.
When he does get jealous, it's when you least expect it.
Jonathan becomes clingy and more physical; holding you, pulling you closer to him.
His attention is now on you tenfold, but he also steals glances at whoever it was that set him off…
This is the closest you will get to seeing him jealous, and you’re absolutely enjoying it before you rub it in his face.

A little bit of an angst-comfort idea, but I want to see how the scarecrows would deal with their s/o accidentally being exposed to fear toxin. To top it all off, the toxins strong enough to cloud the readers vision so that they don’t see Jonathan but instead their worst fear, practically cowering from him. While the scarecrows do love them some fear, I would imagine they wouldn’t like to see their s/o in such a state (or maybe some of them would to an extent?)
If it’s no biggie, could you end it off with how the boys would try to make it up to their s/o after the fact?

The Scarecrows React to Reader Being Exposed To Fear Toxin
Arkhamverse Scarecrow:
- Whether it's a great enemy or a great lover. This Scarecrow desires to know what terrifies you.
- However, he would like your consent at all times.
- Unfortunately, your first encounter was without either his knowledge or your consent.
- Jonathan felt some guilt, but it was overpowered by the sound of your gasps and cries.
- He walked over to you, in an instinct maneuver to comfort you.
- Yet you shied away in a corner. Screaming, digging your face in your hands.
- It's almost like he can feel the erratic beating of your heart in his ears. You cry out for his name–to save you and make it stop.
- And he will…he does but he takes his time.
- He makes it up to you with a string of apologies, and suggestions to keep you from stumbling upon him during future experiments.
- He spends practically a whole week with you, reading to you, holding you.
- It's the least he can do for the exhilarating results you provided.
Nolanverse/Murphy Scarecrow:
- He longs to see you afraid, to see the terror in your eyes.
- The idea absolutely thrills him to his core.
- To know you in such a vulnerable state and what makes your skin crawl.
- The moment will happen sooner rather than later when you walk in on him testing a new toxin.
- He tried to push you away, to get you out of the vicinity, but it was too late.
- As you quivered and fell to your knees in cold terror.
- You screamed for him to help you, explain what's happening.
- Jonathan couldn't deny your sounds of fright were like music to his ears.
- The way your pretty eyes were blown out.
- Your voice shrieked his name and your heart was no doubt pounding and pounding.
- Much like during…another activity.
- He makes mental notes of what you say you see; what you fear.
- He's not entirely cruel, he doesn't make the illusion last any longer than needed.
- Jonathan will be with you for the rest of the day.
- You have his undivided attention. He will cuddle you, rest with you, and prepare meals.
Batman the Animated Series Scarecrow:
- As curious as he is, he would never have you under his toxin.
- Not without your consent, and without laying down some ground rules.
- He may be curious and almost dying to know such a deep emotional part of you…
- But his love for you is stronger than that.
- When it happens accidentally, its his worst nightmare has come to life.
- Hearing you cry out for him while simultaneously pushing yourself away.
- You wanted him to protect you…but from himself.
- Jonathan regrets ever being curious, he absolutely despises seeing you like this.
- He’s quick to give you the antidote.
- Even through all the shoves and kicks to try to keep him away from you.
- When you come too, he's instantly more affectionate than usual.
- Jon holds you and comforts you and isn't going to leave your side anytime soon.
- Until what you experienced is just a distant memory.
The New Batman Adventures Scarecrow:
- Jonathan is somewhat torn.
- He cares for you deeply and the last thing he'd want is to harm you in any way…physically or mentally.
- However, he can't deny he'd be intrigued to know your fears and your instincts when facing it.
- When the moment comes, unexpectedly he's frozen.
- He realizes one of his own fears in fruition to your own fear.
- He doesn't like to see you frightened, your screams make his ears ring in concern.
- Jonathan unfortunately doesn't have an immediate antidote for this certain batch.
- It's nearly impossible to work as he hears you scream for him to save you.
- When he eventually finds the cure or the images subside he's by your side in an instant.
- Jonathan is mute, unsure what to say to comfort you.
- He is at your beck and call for the next few days.
- Ensuring your mental state and to make up for the absolute hell he accidentally put you through.
Fear State Scarecrow:
- This Scarecrow believes that everyone should face their fears and traumas in order to evolve.
- The same would be for his significant other.
- However, unlike his experiment where he plans to push the city of Gotham through its Fear State.
- The trial to get you through your Fear State is far more…personal…intimate if you will.
- It takes some convincing (and most definitely manipulation) to get you to concede.
- He's doing it because he cares about you. He knows your potential to be an even stronger, more fearless version of yourself.
- Don't you want that? You trust him right?
- You do, so you go through with it.
- And it's absolute hell.
- Even Jonathan has to admit, he's not a fan of your screams.
- Especially when you cry out for him.
- When you finally surpass it, Jonathan promises to never put you through it again.
Year One Scarecrow:
- Jonathan has spent his adult years learning, testing, modifying, and mastering fear to torture and subdue those that have done it to him.
- Its a tool of horror, pain, and torment. One he prays you will never have to experience.
- Surely if he can wield fear he can constrain it…
- Unfortunately, that's not the case.
Jonahan never thought he’d know terror like the abuse he endured by his dear late great granny.
- But your howls and tears were just as, if not more, horrific.
- Jon tries to not panic as he scurries quickly.
- It hurts him when you defensively push him and try to run away.
- He knows you can’t help it, you don’t see him.
- Just the concept of being your nightmare, breaks his heart.
- Once the effects wear off, Jon is quick to comfort you in any way he can.
- He whispers a mantra of apologies, hoping that you can find it in your heart to forgive him.
Masters of Fear Scarecrow:
- Much like Year One, Jon uses fear as a weapon against his adversaries.
- You are the only glimmering light in his dark, lonely life.
- He wouldn't dare make you endure the effects of his fear toxin.
- Regardless, accidents are bound to happen.
- Jonathan is panicking.
- Very few things can drop the Master of Fear to his knees; you being in danger was one of them.
- Even when he subdues the effects and you’re no longer screaming for your fears to go away.
- He’s almost certain he’s lost you. That you would leave him.
- Why would you be with someone that can bring forth your worst fears? And even accidentally, have you endure them.
- Jonathan is beyond shocked when you forgive him.
- As if he didn’t already treat you like a precious jewel.
- He’ll be even more protective of you.
- When you ask him to go to bed with you, or to join you, he’ll go with no hesitation.
- Anything to keep you happy, and to make you forget his horrible mistake.
Harley Quinn The Animated Series Scarecrow:
- Absolutely not. It's a hard no for Jonny.
- He doesn't even care if you seem curious.
- Regardless, he got to find out your fears when you accidentally opened the door to his lab.
- He's practically panicking. Probably the most erratic of the Scarecrows.
- In his panic he is likely to short circuit and seize up.
- It isn’t until you shout out for his name he’d snap out of it.
- When he finally manages to administer the antidote, he’s beyond relieved.
- He practically clings to you, shushing your cries, assuring you that you’re okay.
- No matter how much you tell him it’s not his fault. He still feels miserable about it.
- Expect him to be very clingy for a while. Clutching you tighter, making your favorite comfort foods, never not being by your side.
Happy Halloween Scooby-Doo Scarecrow:
- Echoing earlier Scarecrows, he has his curiosity. But he doesn't press you if you're uncomfortable.
- He wants the absolute best for you, always.
- Jonathan has been experimenting and further progressing his toxins for years.
- So sure there would be no accidental exposure.
- Jon is wracked with concern and anger when you scream bloody murder one night.
- He doesn’t take the time to figure out how you got exposed.
- Though it does very little, more out of comfort for him almost than for you. He tries to comfort you through your fears.
- He tells you they aren’t real, they’re visions. He’s so sorry. He has no idea how this could have happened, etc, etc.
- His words fall on deaf ears as you keep crying his name for help.
- When he finally gives you the antidote or the effects finally surpass, he is still in a panic.
- Jonathan isn’t an overly affectionate man. He has his moments, but they’re few, far, and in between.
- Yet, on this night, he isn’t hesitant at all. Kissing your head and cheeks, rubbing your arms and back in warmth and comfort.
- Never again, never again will this happen. You have his word.

Okay so we’ve had Mad Hatter and Riddler reacting to the dress….
What about Scarecrow?
A/N: Whelp, uhh…never expected my original headcanon idea of Riddlers reacting to a tiktok dress to go this far lmao. But it only makes sense I go ahead and round up the Dork Squad.
After this, I don’t see myself doing this for any other rogues (or for any other tik tok dress...I don’t see their reactions being any different than what I’ve already described lmao), so this’ll likely be the end of this wee series I accidentally made lol. By all means though, if y’all haven’t already feel free to do these with your own fave rogues and even do a different dress!

By the way…this was ridiculously more difficult than the others, just thought I’d put that out there. Most of these Scarecrows are ominous and stoic as hell so it was weird trying to get in the appropriate state of mind for each of them asdfgjk also don’t mind me still playing with headers, this isn’t all the Scarecrows featured, there’s three more sorry if the header is a wee misleading; BTAS/TNBA and Fear State also make an appearance!

The Scarecrows React to Reader in a TikTok Dress:
Arkhamverse Scarecrow:
- To say he was caught off guard would be an understatement.
- He may be immune to fear.
- Immune almost to a point of being void of most reactionary emotions.

- However, he can’t say he’s complaining.
- He chuckles deeply, asks if this is for some kind of occasion.
- You say there isn't one. Just wanted to surprise him.
- Well, you've certainly done that.
- He's still getting used to being intimate with someone else.
- However, when you open yourself up to him, you are so vulnerable…

- For all the fear he wanted to wrought upon Gotham City…

a/n: I know I have some other nsfw alphabet request to do, particularly one for btas scarecrow, but this version has been on my mind for a hot minute and I thought it would be fun to do one for him too, so here we go!

Jonathan’s sex drive isn’t all that high, again, his age playing a likely factor. A/N: As promised in my Mad Hatter NNN post, here’s the Scarecrows to round off No Nut November. I’m still experimenting with Jervis and Jonathan, hence why I don’t have many versions of them available or that many posts of them yet. But I would like to get the practice in as I take in more varied media of them. I want to be able to write the Dork Squad to at least satisfactory lmao
This is the end of the NNN prompt post..things..it's literally the 30th lol

How the Scarecrows Handle NNN
Arkhamverse Scarecrow (12 out of 10):
Well, this will be an interesting…experiment.
However, somehow he was able to flip it on it’s head. Kinda like how Dent flips his coin, or how fear can easily be flipped into lust. Yes, this would be invigorating indeed.
It went from trying to make push him past his limits…to make him feel even a morsel of the torture he puts you through. Anytime he caught you in one of your familiar tactics to coax him that vulnerable intimate state, he cut you off.
He was supposed to be grumbling in frustration. He was supposed to be flustered. He was supposed to be hard, not making this hard…on you! Yet, you find yourself being the one taking the cold showers.
Don’t worry, when he wins he’ll concede to your desires. There’s no denying how pleased he was with the results of this…challenge.
BTAS Scarecrow (6.5 out of 10):
Jonathan absolutely scoffed and rolled his eyes at the idea. However, he was never one to turn down a challenge, especially on the restraining the humanal response to act upon primal urges.
However, he completely forgot that while arousal and fear goes hand in had…his experience in the later is…limited to say the list. Only having just experimented with it with you. He stays headstrong for a good while, which is why he barely passes the halfway point.
Albeit, by November 26th, the man combusts. You shouldn’t look so damn cute in his old GCU hoodie…in just his hoodie. (idk why I headcanon this Scarecrow has a few hand-me-downs from his time studying and teaching at the university((he wanted to burn them but couldn’t find himself to do it, and you can pry it out of my cold dead petite hands)
TNBA Scarecrow (10 out of 10):
Much like most of these Scarecrows he merely scoffs off the idea. What a trivial and childish objective.
This Scarecrow is hard nut to crack to begin with. To actually get him to bust one? Uhh…yeah no, I don’t see it happening, bud.
While he finds your attempts, amusing. He’s able to refrain from succumbing to his desires successfully. It also helped that he kept himself preoccupied with his new schemes.
Jonathan does grow to miss feeling that warmth he feels when he’s near you. The warmth you radiate when you two are locked in a passionate tryst.
He does when, however it’s only ever worth it for the prize of euphoria afterwards.
Harley Quinn The Animated Series (4 out of 10):
This poor wee baby. When I tell you, man’s wasn’t prepared…I mean man’s wasn’t prepared.
He lasts a few days, until he sees you, his gorgeous date in a snazzy new outfit for a party held by the Legion of Doom. Poor Jonny is tented up before he even realizes it, and there’s only really one option to take care of it.
You had a feeling he wouldn’t last the month too long (you cruel, cruel, reader), but you had to admit you found it incredibly endearing. And he still got a reward afterward, if nothing else for being a good sport.
Happy Halloween, Scooby-Doo (11 out of 10):
This damn bean pole. This absolute asshat. (who also has hoodies I wanna steal from)
He mocks the idea at first, but agrees to it. It’s going to be fun seeing you try and entice him, try to make him lose.
Jonathan won’t admit him, but you almost got him a couple of times throughout the month. The way you left tingling kisses along his neck. You frequently forgetting your change of clothes after a bath…not to mention the Elvira cosplay which just almost cost him his win.
However, he stood strong against all odds. You never tend to admit to him you were fairly impressed you were sure you had him at the end there. Now, it was time to reward him and he specifically requests you put the Elvira costume back on.

Jonathan Crane/Scarecrow x Reader - Haunted Past, Haunting the Present
What happens when on an ordinary Halloween night with your beloved rogue…an old possessive and aggressive flame comes back to haunt you and your new partner?
A/N: so believe it or not this idea is based on an old original Halloween story I’ve been working on and off with for the past three years rip, and I decided to try and do this one shot with just Scarecrow cause it’s his holiday lol and I wanted to practice writing for him more. This is still just my general version for now, a strange concoction of BTAS and Happy Halloween Scooby Doo! cause I adore those two. And I do have a drawing with him planned out, but not sure if I’ll have the energy to finish it in time for Halloween rip

Trigger Warnings: mentions of an abusive past relationship, stalking, violence, and some language. Please if any of this may seem slightly triggering to you, please avoid! I do plan to write an alternative less triggering version of this story soon! Just hang tight!

Needless to say Halloween was you and Jonathan's holiday. Most couples went all out on Valentine's Day or Christmas, but not you two.
Your house was filled with hay bales, fake cobwebs, various jack-o-lanterns all over, and skeletons on the front porch swing.
The whole nine yards.
You still giggled at the little almost life sized scarecrow figure you found that stood at the bottom of your doorsteps. It took a minute for Jonathan to roll his eyes back into his eye sockets, but you could tell he grew fond of it, eventually.
Every night you two cuddled up and watched horror movies. You never got enough of Jonathan's smartass commentary, or how he'd go out of his way to be the one to scare you next.
The following days, the two of you tried to restrain yourselves from adding more décor both inside and outside your home. As hard as it was at first, Jonathan found it easier to not pull any Scarecrow like antics when he found himself genuinely enjoying the festivities with you.
As thrilling as it was to watch and test others' fears and tolerances against it…it didn't compare to the warm swelling in his chest when he heard you laugh or squeal whenever he spooked you around the house.
While he's Fear Incarnate, you love and trust him enough to cling to him when you are at your most frightened.
Much like tonight.
It was finally Halloween night.
You were dressed up and handing candy out to the kids. Meanwhile, Jonathan was mirroring his scarecrow twin on the other side of the steps. Every now and then he'd jump out and scare a group of kids, or he would tap a child on the shoulder and return back to his post like nothing happened.
It was hard to keep a straight face whenever he heard you giggle or when you cheered him on.
"Good job, Jonny!"
"Damn, Jonny, you scared me and I knew you were there!"
"I think you're having too much fun there, Mr. Crane."
Jonathan bloomed with pride. This night couldn't get any better.
It didn't.
As the number of children started to dwindle, Jonathan decided it was time to pack up the suit for tonight. He hopped off his post but not before regarding his other partner in crime.
"Good work tonight, my friend." He patted the hay stuffed shoulder of the fake scarecrow before heading inside.
When he first walked in he headed toward the left where the kitchen was. He removed his hat and mask and took a refreshing breath of air.
"Gotcha!" You jumped out and wrapped your arms around Jonathan's waist. He may deny it all he wants but you felt that sharp intake of breath he took.
Jonathan did jump a little bit from the shock, but he immediately relaxed into your embrace, chuckling. "Seems you finally got me."
You squeezed him with your arms. "I've always got you, but I will scare you properly one of these days! Mark my words, Jonathan Crane!" You kissed his cheek before releasing him from your arms.
"Where are you going?" Jonathan watched as you headed outside.
"I forgot to grab the mail." You were already out of your costume and in a Gotham University hoodie of Jonathan's and some sweatpants.
"Darling, it's really late. I'm sure that can wait…"
"Jonny, I'll be fine." You assured. "Besides, I need you to hop in the shower…" You hummed.
"Um, why?" He quirked his eyebrow.
"So I can come in and join you." You winked at him, before turning the doorknob to head outside.
Jonathan nearly tripped going up the flight of stairs as fast as possible to the bathroom.

You were snickering to yourself as you were pretty sure Jon missed a step or two running up the stairs.
The night was still, the fog had gotten denser. If not for the decorations and littered candy wrappers all over. You wouldn't think it was Halloween.
You shivered, the hairs on the back of your neck stood up. It was quiet, the whistle of a soft breeze being all you heard.
You made it to your mailbox at the other side of the sidewalk and found yourself quickly shuffling the envelopes into your arm. The squeak of the old rusted metal door to your mailbox seemed to echo down to the end of the street.
When your feet pressed down on the wood of your footsteps you felt much safer.
Until you felt a rough hand land on your shoulder. You knew it wasn't Jonny's, this hand was cold and calloused.
You jumped out of your skin, falling on the steps. and dropped all the envelopes to the ground.
"Whoa, whoa, take it easy it's just me, baby.."
"What the fuck are you doing here?!"
You couldn't tell if you were frightened or enraged. How? What? When? Why?
What the hell is your ex partner doing here?
"Hey, is that anyway to treat your significant other? You really thought you got away, huh?" They asked. They held their hand out for you to take.
"Get the fuck away from me! We're not together anymore!"
"Aww, that's cute, that's real cute, baby. But it's okay, there's no hard feelings." They reached out and grabbed your wrist and started pulling you towards them.
"LET GO OF ME! LET GO!" You immediately went into fight mode as you scratched and yanked your hand away from theirs and scrambled to the door.
You could hear their feet stomping up the steps behind you. You slammed the door shut, quickly trying to lock up the door with all the locks.
It didn't take long for your ex to start beating down the door. Calling you out, cursing you out, threatening you.
"JONATHAN!" You began running up the stairs and headed to the bathroom.
"Y/N? Darling, what's wrong?" Jonathan was already running down the stairs and met you halfway. He was wearing a plain shirt and boxers, he had yet to get into the shower, waiting for you.
"I-It..I-I don't even know HOW b-but…"
All his years of studying and being enthralled by the fear in people's eyes.
He loathed this.
He didn't ever want to see that level of fear in your eyes. He didn't want to see you quivering, whimpering, crying.
"Y/N…Y/N, darling breathe please…please breathe. You're okay. I'm here, you're safe, sweetheart." He began walking you the rest of the way up the stairs and to your bedroom.
"I-it's my ex…I-I don't even know how they found me…Jonathan I'm so sorry.."
"Is. Is this the ex you told me about? Who hurt you?" He asked sternly, as he set you down on the edge of the bed.
All you could muster was a nod. "I-Im so sorry, Jon I have no idea how-"
"This isn't your fault, darl-"
CRACK
You screamed and Jonathan's blood ran cold. A medium sized rock had been thrown through your bedroom window.
"J-jonathan…I-I'm scared."
Jon's eyes widened. Any other time someone told him that he'd be grinning with pride, elated to achieve this terror.
Now that it wasn't him causing it, but it was happening from an outside factor towards someone he cared more than anyone or anything in the world.
Jonathan saw red.
"I know, my love." He held you in his arms, rubbing his hands up and down your back. He kissed your cheek and your forehead. "Stay here, lock the door behind me. And no matter what you hear, stay here. Understand?"
"B-but Jonathan…"
"I would say call the police but I don't trust the GCPD as far as I can throw them."
"Jonathan, w-what are you going to do?"
Jonathan looked over his shoulder at you as he opened the door to leave your shared bedroom. You were still shaking in the fetal position on the bed.
"I'm going to show them true terror."

"Y/N!!! Don't make me throw another damn rock! You can't hide from me forever!" You ex hollered to the new hole in your bedroom window.
"Come on, you stupid bitch! How long did you think you could stay away from me?! You can't fucking live without me!"
"I beg to differ…"
"Hey whoa!" They jumped back and looked behind them. They started chuckling.
"Really? You're gonna try and scare me, Y/N? Please, I thought you were more mature than that."
They opened their mouth to say some more degrading things, but the words were caught in his throat. Almost quite literally by the scythe to their throat.
"Trust me…you know nothing about true fear…" The Scarecrow growled into your ex partner's ear.
"Hey, hey, who the hell are you? Cut this shit out, man! This ain't got nothin' to do with you!"
Scarecrow brought the blade closer to their skin. "Oh, but it does…and as to my identity…"
Scarecrow swiped his other hand up to the other side of the ex partner's neck and injected them with his signature fear elixir straight into their jugular.
"I'm your worst nightmare…"

You were pacing back and forth upstairs. Constantly looking through the hole in your window, but due to the fog you barely made out the two figures outside your home. You couldn't tell who made it out, but you were hoping Jon was okay.
You had no doubt Jon took on his Scarecrow persona to encounter your ex, and you couldn't deny the satisfaction it brought. Knowing that your ex was finally feeling the fear they instilled in you for so long all that time ago.
Some time had passed, almost an hour or two, the fog had cleared some but you didn't see either your ex or Jon outside. Just when you were about to head outside…
You heard the door to the bedroom open.
To anyone else if they saw a tall lanky scarecrow with a burlap mask in their room they would be screeching in fright.
For you, though, you immediately ran into his arms, letting out tears of relief.
"You're okay, I'm so glad you're okay…" You sniffled, as you rubbed your face into his chest.
"Of course I am, my love. Why wouldn't I be? Surely you didn't doubt me?" Jon teased as he slipped the mask off and tossed it to the floor.
"No, no I just…I tried to look, but I couldn't see what was going on…" You explained. "A-and you were both gone."
Jon shushed you softly, he began rubbing your back like he did before. Squeezing and holding you tight. "I'm here now, it's okay, they're gone…"
For a second you think to ask him where he took them, but you didn't want to know. If Jon said they're gone, then they're gone.
Good riddance.
"Thank you, Jonny…" You whispered.
"Anything for you, my love." He kissed the crown of your head.
You squeezed your arms back around him, not wanting to let him go. Sensing this, Jon lifted you up off your feet. You let out a fit of squeals and giggles as you cling to him for dear life.
He lightly tossed you onto the bed, as you giggled and got comfortable under the quilt and sheets. Jonathan began slipping out of the rest of his costume. Going back to his plain shirt and boxer shorts.
When he looked back to you, he couldn't help but chuckle as you reached out for him with adorable grabby hands.
He pulled the covers back and as soon as his body made contact with the mattress you immediately entangled your limbs with his.
You wrapped your arm around his abdomen and your legs wrapped around one of his long ones. "Took you long enough." You muttered, as you laid your head on his chest.
Jonathan chuckled some more as he began placing his arms where they belonged around you. You resonated in his touch; warm and loving.
You propped your head up for a minute and stared into his soft brown eyes. You leaned in and gave him a sweet kiss on the lips
"I love you, my scarecrow…" You whispered almost breathlessly, you laid your head back down and started to doze off.
Jon kissed the top of your head. "And I love you, my sweet raven."

I do write SFW and NSFW material (hence why most of the characters I write for will be adults)
Most smut scenarios are written for an afab reader (it's easiest so it gets done faster and written better) but I try to keep most fics gender neutral
Most of my fics are character x reader (if that's not your cup of tea you go elsewhere) or just write about the character. I'll rarely dablle in character x character.

Oohh spooky Twig Boys that I may or may not slightly slightly enforce my southernness on (only the good southernness like cooking, music, hospitality none that other shit) I'll be more than happy to oblige anon hehe. It's not often I get to talk/discuss the masters of fear.
Again gonna just kinda discuss all the ones I write for since I'm the most informed on those versions so sorry if I missed one and the post got long lmao
Masters of Fear Scarecrow: since you asked for him specifically I put him first lmao. And this Jon is just incredibly endearing? I think he's an adorable spry kinda guy that, like most, deserved better. I'm also super fond of his design. Also as someone who writes for "x reader" it was nice to see him...actually have a romantic interest? (albeit she was a bully bitch) listen listen...any extra info in a romantic sense of a character I will take
Arkhamverse Scarecrow: Uhh can I just say, absolute whiplash in design and mannerisms lol. While I enjoy both its like...such a bizarre change? Like yeah he did go through something traumatic (being very close to dying) but like...a total voice change? Maybe there's some behind the scenes explanation or something I don't know but yeah...I do enjoy him being whimsy and silly in Asylum and brooding and stoic in Knight with his waxing poetic lectures...but also also...does anyone have any idea how Knight Scarecrow's face works? Like his mouth and such?
TNBA Scarecrow: Definitely a more gritty and intriguing take, especially considering its a revamp of BTAS. Allegedly this is the idea of Scarecrow with a noose started? And now we've seen it incorporated in other designs which is pretty cool.
BTAS Scarecrow: Much like Jervis and I think Batman as a whole, this was my first Scarecrow encounter, and cause of such there's a wee bias to him being one of my favorites lol. Super rich voice, I don't care if he's terrorizing me, I will die of fear peacefully. Solid design and a super strong depiction of the character overall? Also my god his theatrics, top notch such a dramatic lad I love him.
Dark Knight/Nolanverse Scarecrow: pretty eyes...pretty eyes..strong jawline..pretty pretty scarecrow..huh, what? Oh..uhh yeah he's...fine I guess..I mean like not just fine as in fine as hell just...meh? I don't know I just remember him being stupidly criminally pretty. Although to be fair I don't recall much about him..sorry (granted I don't recall much about nolanverse as a whole...its been at most five years rip)
Year One Scarecrow: it took me an embarrassingly long time for me to actually read Year One rip. But it was very gut wrenching. It was the best updated take I've seen on Jon's origins and just how deeply rooted he is in his obsession, and it was a unique way too? Like it was an interesting take on the broken family scenario, I dunno I just thought it was super enriching.
Fear State Scarecrow: so I will say the designs for him are jarring as there's like..a different artist between the beginning, middle, and end of Fear State. But I like both looks, especially in the middle where he looks a lot like his BTAS counterpart. It was an amazing surprise to see the spikey red hair and wide eyes again in comic form and more realistic but still animated? I hope that makes sense. But I loved the story, and he was especially cunning and ruthless here.
Happy Halloween, Scooby-Doo! Scarecrow: asdgggh this boomer asshole lmao. But definitely one of my top three favorites. He's a decent blend of old and new for me. Like he bears resemblance to BTAS but also some other comic appearances, he doesn't even need to he in the costumer and you can just tell he's Jonathan Crane. Also his voice is amazing, and I will forever be grateful to the writer that decided that Scarecrow was a fucking Elvira fan boy. Like of fucking course he'd love Elvira, Mistress of the Dark asdfghjj one of the few times where canon got it right lmao
