Sexy Gwynriel Headcanon

I figured I'd write this for you all enjoy ahead of Gwynriel Week. I hope you enjoy it! 😉

Azriel is on his knees before Gwyn (the only woman he will ever get on his knees for) as she's loosely tied up to the headboard with the ribbon and shadows.

He leans in to bring her pleasure with his mouth as his hands reach up to fondle her breasts.

She feels safe, despite being tied down, because with the scars on his hands it reminds her it's Azriel who is the one wringing the pleasure from her.

She also knows she can break free at anytime as the shadows move to softly caress her body and Azriel continue his exquisite, pleasurable torture.

He whispers "Good Girl" as she comes apart beneath him and moans with absolute pleasure at the taste of her.

He then slides up the bed to untie the ribbon and wrap her in his arms. She softly drifts to sleep as he sings a song to her. The brows high in amusement from Az

Nesta chiming in with “You have no idea what you just started”, which was said earlier in the book by Cassian to Nesta in a very intimate moment (censored to keep it PG, but you can refer to page 517 of ACOSF for context)

Maybe this is a delulu line of thought, but why use this same phrase, verbatim, in a shared moment between Gwyn and Az, if it didn’t mean anything when it was also used in a very intimate scene between Cassian and Nesta?

I genuinely don’t understand how they can’t be endgame.

Also, Gwyn owns the Shadowsinger nickname now. Only she can refer to Az by that name with her charming irreverence to knock him down a peg or two 😩

They have such a potential for a friends to lovers story, filled with sassy banter, hand to hand training on and off the ring 😏 and friendly competition. They would push each other to be their best selves.

I'm imagining Azriel checking out books from the library and then specifically asking Clotho to make sure Gwyn is the one to reshelf them when he brings them back.

When Gwyn is reshelfing Azriel's books, she notices things sticking out between the pages.

Pressed flowers, little notes that tell her how beautiful and kind she is, folded sheets of music that Azriel thinks fits the vibes of the story. Scraps of paper with quotes from the book scribbled on and a little message that says, "I thought you might like this line." or "This reminded me of you."

Imagine Gwyn sitting on the floor with her back leaning on a couch while reading her favorite novels. While Azriel sits on the couch as he tries to style Gwyn’s hair up. He knows Gwyn likes decorating her hair with a white ribbon so he was trying to braid her hair with a ribbon in it.

“Does it hurt?” Azriel would ask whenever he tries to make the braid a little tighter.

“No. I’m fine,” Gwyn replies, flipping a page on her book.

And they would stay like that for hours until Azriel finishes his “masterpiece” and they would end up cuddling on the couch, reading the book together.

I feel like of all of them, Gwyn and Az would pull the most insane/unhinged coordinated tactics mid-fight.

As in someone's after Gwyn because she's been wrecking their whole operation, they think they have her trapped nearing some fortress's walls or a cliff, and she just smiles and falls backwards off the side of it only for Az to soar back over it with her seconds later.

She's probably sent the enemy's own hellhounds or water wraiths whatever they have guarding the place after them while Az mutters about how stupid and reckless that was in her ear while flying them to safety.

Even though she can tell he's proud.

I need Azriel to have a confessional moment with Gwyn, similar to Rhys with Feyre in the cabin. Doesn’t need to lead to a chapter 55 moment (I actually prefer if it doesn’t lead to anything physical so it doesn’t distract from the tenderness of the confession, and the last thing Az needs is getting physical too soon with his mate, boy needs the inner work to happen first), but more than anything he needs someone he will trust on that level, where he’s unfiltered and uncensored. He’s not even like that with his friends of centuries, he shuts down even with his closest people.

I need it so I can hug my box of tissues with snot running down my chin and vision blurred by tears while reading it.

I need Gwyn to take his face into her hands, stare at his face until he meets her eyes, and say “you’re enough. You’re good. You are exactly what you ought to be and exactly who I want, and I’ll always remind you in case you forget. I’ll also kick your ass in the process” with a wide grin at the last.

Amid tears. Azriel grasps her hands still on his face and smiles. “It would be my pleasure to have my ass kicked by you everyday. Just be here everyday.”

Headcanon that, after they're mated, Gwyn will purposefully mess with Azriel by reading/remembering smutty book scenes and sending them down the bond at the worst possible times.

Some of the best, worst possible times, in my opinion:

- sparring with Cassian

- in a meeting with Rhys

- training at the camps

- trying to read/write spy reports

My Gwynriel headcanon is that because both Gwyn and Azriel are so incredibly competitive, whenever they have a card game or a chess match it will last literally weeks and they just hole themselves up in a cabin and are never to be seen again and people assume that they are doing the deed because of the mating frenzy but no they are just playing a normal game.

Azriel: Have you turned into a statue?

Gwyn: Oh shush you're distracting me. Or are you trying to pull some trick? *glares at him suspiciously*

Azriel: *raises brow* You've been accusing me of that for the past 4 hours 31 minutes and 23 seconds. And no, I don't need to resort to petty tricks to win.

Gwyn: *snorts* Right, because you aren't winning. *goes back to staring at the board intensely*
