#her concept got recycled into leo mostly! and stolen by an ex friend#like fully and entirely stolen and ripped off#but i do really miss her and how that could have been yanno? she was meant to just be a cozy cute lil ranger#i kinda wanna respec her and play around with her a bit. HL Scilla Aster HC
Something fun I've been wanting to do.
This is a project of sorts that anyone and everyone of the Hogwarts Legacy Fandom can join in on with their own HC.
I wanna see everyone's HC and how they differ from mine. Mine ended up seeming more like a list in the end, though.

Background
Pureblood. (would never know till you ask)
Father is a squib. Mother ran away after graduating from hogwarts to marry her father.
The town she grew up in is actually a mix of wizardkind and muggles. Her childhood best friends were muggles.
her family is from Italy but has been going to Hogwarts for generations.
Mother's side of the family were Hufflepuff, fathers side of the family were Slytherin, she's a Ravenclaw.
Has a talent for baking and growing just about anything.
Wants a career with Magical Beasts, loves animals just as much as Poppy, if not more.

Interactions with the HL crew
In a constant state of tiredness, has been found asleep in corners with Ominis
Has an old, worn leather satchel her Nona and Mother used while at Hogwarts
Recently admitted to carrying a blanket in the satchel for when she finds Ominis asleep in halls (her housemates have yet to let her live down how red she turned when caught)
Has been seen hitting Sebastian with a potions textbook after making crude jokes and suggestive comments to the girls
"I was ignorant enough to willingly help you with your sister." her response to Sebastian calling her ignorant instead of trusting her.
Poppy and Her are often found trying to sneak in random beasts when hanging out together
Her friends and Professor Fig have heard “Don't tell my dad” more times than they can count.
Enjoys watching Garreth brew his potions on the chance it'll explode or shoot sparks.
Natty has been teaching her how to use wandless magic. Professor Ronin is excited to see them bond, but suggests it's best done outside.
Samantha Dale and her quiz each other over plants, and try to guess flowers over smell and feel while blindfolded. (Typically Ravenclaws)
Finds Amit sweet and well-meaning but tries to avoid him at all costs outside of Astrology class.
Will call fellow students “hun”, friends “sunshine” or “dumbass” and “Darling” or “Lovely” when trying to kill one of the lads. (mostly to Ominis because she loves seeing him lose his cool every so often)
School related chaos
Has already seen Headmaster Black office 3 times since starting Hogwarts. None of which were related to the Keepers.
Absolutely hates Divination and Ancient Runes, one because of headaches and one is best for nap time.
Only rivaled by Samantha In Herbology and Poppy in Beasts class.
Her Room is mostly a kitchen and Garden, Deek has developed a green thumb thanks to her.
Professor Hecat has started giving her more refined lessons on how to control her anger after that 3rd visit to see Black.
Don't let her fool you. She cried like a baby on the day she would have been sorted into her house as a first year and got teary-eyed while sitting on the stool.
Stuff that makes her…..Unique.
Everyone wants to put a bell on her. Ominis has “gifted” her one, shortly after scaring him in the hallway once.
Will start twirling a curl around her fingers at any given moment.
“Do you wanna do this the easy way? Or the muggle way?”
Can sleep standing up. (she has no idea how she started doing, so don't bother asking)
Will start speaking Italian when pissed or if she forgets how to English.
When asked for her favorite flower, she'll smile and respond with “Japanese Cedar and Magnolias”.

Grovehurst Family
Dale and Gwendolyn (Parents), Mary (teen daughter), Oliver (toddler son), Barrel (dog), Scratcher (cat), Fair and Bucephalus (Horses).
Role: Produce farmers.
Winter has been harsh on the family's crops with no new produce since late Autumn.
On the bright side, it means that the family has been able to spend more time getting to know other sims in the world.
Mary decided to visit her neighbours, the Nung Family, but she realised she hadn't spent much time with her horse Bucephalus, whom she needed to warm up to a bit in order to ride, given he's untrained.
In the end, she gained Bucephalus' trust and she was able to climb upon him.
Mary arrived at the Nung's plot of land and immediately started chatting to her close friend, Li. Of course, the cold weather was this week's "hot topic".
Suddenly, something came over Mary that she wasn't expecting, a sudden urge to Kiss Li!
While the two girls were the closest of friends as children, it appears that their teenage years have brought on a new set of dynamics and Li proposed that they make their relationship romantic. Mary accepted, of course.
While their teenage daughter's romance is blossoming, Dale and Gwen's is not. Gwen was not up to woohooing tonight and she made that clear to her husband.
The next day, Mary visited another resident of Majestic Valley, her friend, Trapper Huntington. Again, cold weather is such a riveting topic.
Trapper's dealing with his own raging hormones and attempted a flirty joke (about jellyfish, apparently) with Mary, but as a newly taken gal, she decided to ignore his subtle advances, at first.
But there's something about Trapper that intrigues Mary, is it his futuristic fur sweater, or his ginormous chin? Perhaps Trapper doesn't know that Jellyfish just aren't Mary's thing and needed some help on how to smooth talk. in general. Mary decided to help him out a little and flirted suggestively about bugs. Trapper was all ears. This could complicate things in future.
Back at home, the round ends with Oliver's birthday and Gwen gives him one last snuggle before he ages up.

15 Toons I want copies of co-existing as originals in the crossover-verse
Here's my take of which toons I think should have a second co-existing in the crossover-verse for the sake of justifying certain fans' desires that defy canon's laws.
1. Suki Lane (Sing 2) - I have to start with her for obvious reasons. Not only to have a loophole for Illumination's sexuality choice for her or love-interest choice for her, but also because she's depicted as a critic voiced by a comedian who's humor style is pretty raunchy, so I imagine people would think her to be against fan redos of movies, crossovers, or interspecies relationships (because hybrids are ugly in real life, and even cartoons have to uphold that rule). Why, I bet Chelsea Peretti doesn't like the new Chip & Dale film, despite her friend Andy Samberg being in it.
Hence I created Esme "Sukey" Gwendolyn Langley Lane, changing a couple details to avoid getting sued, not only to be with a shorter guy who's not a beefcake, but be neutral to fan redos and crossovers, and supportive of interspecies relationships. And she takes Suki's place in filming fanmakes, with her shapeshifting boyfriend in one of his forms, Baxter Crescent, taking that form in anything featuring the idea of her being paired with a koala.
2. Furrball (Tiny Toon Adventures) - half want Furrball to remain as he was usually depicted in the original show: a doormat to Sylvester or non-anthro pet who's usually silent despite how he goes to school like an anthro kid; the other half want him to be evolved from the original show's run, catching onto the "cats are evil or scum" trope, and wanting to be abused no longer.
And also for 32 years (or a shorter amount, depending on which fans discovered the show), an amount of fans (myself included) wanted him and Fifi to hook up (even though another amount want her with Hampton), with the former getting used to her odor like Penelope seemingly got used to Pepe's, after getting to know each other better.
So I thought there should be a second Furrball who's given up doing anything WB tells him to, just to live a happy, healthy life without people mad at him, and ends up with a 2nd Fifi. All while the other Furrball does what WB tells them to do.
Of course, I also feel like there should be a small clone supply of Furrballs to go with whomever other fans prefer him with, like Bimbette, Rita from Animaniacs, AnimatedTigerGirl's OC Zelda, and others. I plan to reference it someday.
3. Fifi La Fume (Tiny Toon Adventures) - to satisfy those who prefer her evolved from liking only hunks and prefer with Furrball, while the other does as WB tells her to.
4. Penelope Pussycat (Looney Tunes) - many think she should have her entire world revolve only around Pepe and have no life outside of him, but I'm actually someone who imagined her having a life outside of him while still having interest in him. It's what SHOULD HAVE BEEN in Space Jam: A New Legacy.
So, to keep everyone happy, I think there could be one Penelope who goes down with Pepe, while the other Penelope is more open and has an American/British accent (as I and Draco have thought), varying depending on which project she's in, being a surrogate mother to one of the Furrballs, and being in a relationship with either Sylvester, Lola (if she and Bugs decided to remain friends), or single.
5. The main cast of Winnie the Pooh (Pooh himself, Piglet, Tigger, Rabbit, Kanga, Roo, Lumpy, Kessie, and Eeyore)
6. Rita (Oliver & Company) - so Dodger and the original Rita would still be together
7. Oliver (Oliver & Company) - to justify my pairing between the older him and the second Rita; while the first Oliver is with whichever female cat like Marie or Sagwa.
8. Fox (Skunk Fu) - If Cartoon Saloon actually comes through with their Skunk Fu film, odds are they'll place her with Rabbit which will make fans happy, except for fans like me, so I thought a second Fox to be a significant other for Skunk or another nice, cute animal character would make those like me feel better.
9. tie between Copper and Dixie (The Fox and the Hound) - to justify the CopperxDixie ship without tearing the first Dixie away from Cash and making it seem not sick
10. tie between Spike and Applejack (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic) - to justify the Applespike pairing so many MLP fans prefer
11. tie between Kion and Jasiri (The Lion Guard)
12. tie between Rajah and Jasmine (Aladdin) - to justify a weird idea I had of Jasmine who has this were-feline curse she lives with where she's human by day and feline by night and is married to an anthro version of her pet tiger who loves her more than the suitors
13. Miles "Tails" Prower (Sonic the Hedgehog) - Of course, I don't mean there would be an Ugly Tails, lord forbid. I mean an older version of him and to justify some of the pairings Tails gets with few of the fictional gals, Sonic or xover.
14. tie between Fievel Mousekewitz and Bridget (An American Tail) - while the original Fievel would have Cholena for his significant other, this other aged up Fievel would have another Bridget for his significant other while the first Bridget's still with Tony. Thank 15willywonka for the AU idea.
15. tie between Tom and Sabrina the Poodle (Tom & Jerry) - I read one meta/fourth wall fic that's a crossover between Tom & Jerry and Tiny Toons with the T&J cast visiting Acme Acres. Fifi and Furrball are a thing there, but at the same time, Sabrina is engaged to Spike and Tom has one of his previous girlfriends as his significant other. I just couldn't help myself and want there to be copies of them married with the fan-daughter thefriendlycitizen gave me.
Okay, I know it's cheating since most of the squares are filled with more than one, and those ones are AU couples I have a soft spot for but I don't know what else to add for the remaining squares.
Others:
Skippy and Maid Marian (Disney's Robin Hood) - a same-age couple while the first Robin and Marian are married with the still-young original Skippy as their closest friend
Yakko, Wakko and Dot Warner (Animaniacs) - to be around, visiting the world between 2000-2019 to keep up with the originals' not knowing

Why I do not think Luz will leave the demon realm. An analysis of the general themes
Amphibia, The Owl Houses... sibling Isekia fantasy cartoon has ended. The show stared Anne Boonchuy who along with 2 of her best friends is transported to another world, where all three girls are separated and they meet humanoid amphibious creatures who take them on adventures. These adventures parallel different lessons learned as you grow up and have the girls taking more critical looks at who they are as people, and whom they are as a group... There is also some stuff about a prophecy, classism, and totalitarian rule. But it is all kinda written in as extra. It’s just there to make a coming of age story more exciting for viewers.
With Amphibia over, the owl house wrapping up, and the two shows having so many similarities and differences I thought it might be a good time to compare and contrast messages between the shows, and talk about predictions for how The Owl House will end. Amphibia was always a coming of age story, with a secondary theme of being about old friendships.The three girls have been “friends since kindergarten” but no longer have all that many common interests, and increasingly separate needs. This kinda makes their friendship seem almost like a habit of their childhood. They all carry around developed copies of this photo of the three of them together, and will talk to it. But despite looking like they are all the same age in it as they are now, the photos are all old, wrinkled, and starting to tear... signifying that the girls are beginning to grow apart and becoming old friends. They make more current friendships with the he inhabitants of Amphibia, and those are their main friendships throughout the show. They grow up more with those inhabitants, help them, and come to really love and care abut them. But it is all done with the knowledge and acceptance that this is temporary. The amphibians belong on Amphibia and the girls belong on earth, and there will come a time when they will have to let each other go. There is of course some debate of “well what if”, “well how about” , “and “just a little longer” but at the end Amphibia pretty much went back to the messages of growing up can be hard but is necessary, and old friends, and fond memories...
Unlike Amphibia I do not think The Owl house is about growing up. Yeah sure Luz and Co mature through out the show, Their magical abilities grow. In 2x04 Luz works with Gwendolyn to heal Eda’s curse through extreme and crazy means. They try flying snakes which Luz later remarks were a bad and unhelpful idea... When in 1x01 Luz is in the principals office for her terrorizing her English Class by throwing live snakes around during a book report, because apparently the main character battles snakes, and she expects congratulations for thinking it up. King’s wants in life also change. He starts out wanting to be this mighty ruler and powerful monster, then he just wants answers to his past, then he just wants what he has. Ultimetaley though the characters maturing isn’t really what is front and center with the Owl House.
No, one big theme throughout the Owl house seems to be building a supportive community. It is actually really amazing in this show how background characters that do not, or rarely speak, are shown to have interests and recurring friendships. At school Luz hangs out with 2 good friends and her girlfriend. Willow and Gus are on a sports team that Luz and Amity support but do not want to be part of, so Willow and Gus recruit three other witches. Amity is Luz’s overachieving, book loving, sometimes cranky girlfriend. She also has a job she loves, helping out in the library. Plus a family whom she has a rocky relationship with. Events during the show, helped along but not necessary created because of Luz, show she has begun taking steps to build healthier relationships with them. These are all core parts of Amity’s character. Eda is a middle aged women and the adopted/foster mother of two young children. She also has pushed away many of the people whom she cared about growing up. She opens up more through out the show and eventually makes the decision to reconnect with her family and ex, because she feels she needs more support for herself and her children (whom she makes a priority to still treat like children and not like adults/soldiers.). I think the best example of this is Hunter. He is a kid on the wrong side, in an abusive situation, that he does not fully recognize for the bad it is. In some other media it would be entirely up to Luz as the “protagonist hero” to show him whats wrong and save him from it (something that is to big a job for one young girl) . In The Owl House she plays a part in Hunter leaving. But he also has flapjack, Darius, Raine, and all the kids on the Emerald Entrails.
With so much of a focus on building supportive communities in the boiling, and a complete lack of it that shown in Gravesfeild, not just for Luz but also for Camila and Vee in her true form, I cannot imagine the show ending with the family living in Gravesfeild permanently. Camila and Luz seem to have no other family. There are no pictures of Grandparents, Aunts/Uncles, or Cousins around the house. No mention of any close work friends of Camila’s or neighbors who come over for dinner or occasionally watch Luz during long shifts. The pair are completely on their own, and its hard for them. Also now there is Vee. She loves Camila, Camila is a really good guardian/mom to her, and her and Luz seem to get along pretty well in Yesterday’s Lie. Luz’s has gained around 3 siblings since the beginning of the show and has reacted positively to all of them. While Vee says she is happier in the human realm (mostly because their is no Belos), it's really dangerous for her. She needs a steady stream of fresh magic to maintain a human form, and if she is seen in her Basilisk she gets accused of being an alien and dragged away for tests. There is also the fact that she has to pretend to be Luz. People say when Luz comes back they can just pretend to be twins, but eventually the “where was your twin before?” question will be asked. They cannot get away with “oh she lived with our dad but recently moved in with us" for long because it has to be in Luz’s school and legal file somewhere that her dad died years ago. Because their is no legal record of Vee in the human realm Camila cannot legally adopt her and then enroll her in school under her own identity...
But Camila could probably adopt Vee in the boiling isles and then send her to hexside with Luz. There would be an easier supply of magic for Vee to feed off of. Luz could keep going to school with all her new friends. With a principal and staff who are able to not only manage her, but help her channel her enthusiasm into learning. The Clawthorne’s could stay connected to Luz as her “God family” and would be available to help Camila with her girls when things come up. Camila would probably get along with them too, plus maybe even Mr. Porter or the Parks, (the Blights... she wouldn’t dislike Amity at least). When we first saw Camila in her work uniform we all thought she was a nurse, but the show later clarified that she is actually a vet... Well vet’s work on autonomy different form a humans, and there is a whole magic track in the isles dedicated to the care and keeping of beasts. Camila is clever, Luz has connections to two very powerful beast keepers... it wouldn’t be that hard for Camila to learn and get hired in beast keeping, and given that she is shown to have such a fondness for exotic wild life (she gets emotional over nature documentaries) she would likely enjoy it.
End the show by ridding the isles of Belos and his evil plans, Bring Camila and Vee to live there and have the Noceda’s move permanently. Please.

Hey friends!
I found King Falls AM at a time in my life where I felt scared, hopeless and alone. I didn’t want to be here at all, and I thought for the most part I’d never be happy again. I’m still most of those things, but every day in King Falls makes that a little easier to be okay with. I thought long and hard about what I could manage for this, but most of all, I just wanted to say thank you. So. Here goes.
Thank you for Sammy Stevens, who is my favourite kind of character. He’s sassy and pretty and humble and full of love.Thank you for his cynicism and snark, but also for his ability to push aside his own beliefs and ideas and wants when it matters. Also, for letting him Suplex Grisham, because that was pretty neat! Thank you for the way he relates to the people around him, but especially to Lily. For a character who makes mistakes and actually tries to learn from them - he doesn’t always get it right, but he tries, and that’s so important. He’s made me laugh, he’s made me cry, he’s made me want to scream. I adore his backstory, it means more to me than I can say, but also thank you for the way you handled the events around 75. It was so meaningful. I love him with everything I have, which is why it hurts me to thank you for his pain, which is so unbelievably relatable to my own. For my own hurt that comes out of his mouth. The kind of hurt that transcends circumstances. I was in a dark place before this show, and parts of me are still there, but watching Sammy grow, and change and heal has meant everything to me. It gives me hope for better days. For Sammy, and for me too. Thank you for giving him the courage to stick around, and for giving him hope.
Thank you for Benny Arnold. Who I can’t write about coherently without bursting into tears. He’s messy and flawed and just absolutely gorgeous. Seeing him grow through the years has been an absolute joy, but most of all, I love his ability to remain untainted by the horrors he’s been through. He’s still got the same heart, and it’s the best heart there is. I love his passion, his hope, his resilience. His belief in everybody around him. He remains unapologetically himself through everything, and I adore him. He is The Good, and I’m so glad we have him.
Noah brings such complexity to him too, and I can listen a thousand times to a single episode and continue to feel all the things.
Thank you for Emily. For making a strong, intelligent, badass women who’s also soft and desirable and loving. For letting her write her own story and for letting her be more than a prize to be won. She’s so good natured and considerate and thoughtful, and even in her worst moments she never loses that. Every moment she appears is wonderful and Jess KILLS IT every time! I’ve especially enjoyed phase two Emily, as her relationships with other characters become more integral to the story. Thank you for speaking out against the Frickards of the world through her, because it hurts and it’s hard but it’s so important. Using your audience for good means so much.
Thank you for the thoughtfulness and care with which you consistently apply to sensitive subjects. For day-to-day happiness, for happy places and for months of quiet kindness without ever being asked.

40th Folk Festival spotlights rich, diverse culture of Louisiana

NATCHITOCHES – The audience at the 40th annual Natchitoches-Northwestern State University Folk Festival held on July 26-27 was entertained and educated about the rich and diverse cultural offerings of the state. The Festival featured traditional Louisiana foods, Kidfest activities, music, traditional crafts, narrative sessions, musical informances, and cultural exhibits. This year’s Festival theme “Vive la Louisiane!” was a great success, with a very happy audience.
The Festival opened with a rousing dance, beginning with Cajun dance lessons, followed by Gal Holiday and the Honky Tonk Revue, and the night closed out with Bruce Daigrepont Cajun Band. Side stage performances included Natchitoches gospel group Joyful Sounds, 50 Man Machine, which includes NSU faculty Paul Forsyth, Collier Hyams, and Oliver Molina, and an open jam with Max & Marcy, Ed Huey, and Cane Mutiny.
Saturday’s events included performances in Prather Coliseum by 50 Man Machine, Creole la la with Goldman Thibodeaux and the Lawtell Playboys, the Louisiane Vintage Dancers, Brandy Roberts, the Rayo Brothers, Tab Benoit, Jamie Berzas & the Cajun Tradition Band, the Stewart Family and Friends Bluegrass Band, line dance lessons by the Cajun French Music Association Dance Troupe, the Canneci N’de Band of Lipan Apache, zydeco dance lessons by Avila Kahey, Wayne & Same Ol’ 2 Step, Hardrick Rivers and the Rivers Revue Band, Celtic Music with the Kitchen Session of Baton Rouge and a jam session with Max and Marcy.
In addition to stage performances there were narrative sessions and music informances, including conversations about American songwriting, culture & costumes of 19th century Louisiana, Tab Benoit’s The Voice of the Wetlands Fondoution, and the musical journey of Vanessa Niemann (aka Gal Holiday). Also featured was a music informance by Tab Benoit. Outdoor activities included demonstrations by the Central Louisiana Dutch Oven Cookers, the Red River Smiths, the Southern Stock Dog Association, and Wash Day, presented by the West Baton Rouge Museum. This year the Festival continued a series of free workshops for Festival attendees. Festival goers attended a Cajun accordion workshop by Jamie Berzas and Bruce Daigrepont.
The annual Louisiana State Fiddle Championship was also held on Saturday in the Magale Recital Hall as part of the Festival. Fiddle Championship judges included Steve Birdwell, Steve Harper, Henry Hemple, and Clancey Stewart. The new Louisiana Grand Champion is Ron Yule of DeRidder. Second place winner was Joe Suchanek of Merryville, with Owen Meche of Arnauldville placing third. Meche also took first place in the 21 and under championship division.
Suchanek took first in the 60 and up championship division, with Yule coming in second, Birgit Murphy of Opelousas in third, Mark Young of Balise in fourth, Wilfred Luttrell of DeRidder in fifth, and Ron Pace of Alexandria in sixth. Luttrell and Yule also took first place in the twin fiddles competition.
As the new Louisiana State Fiddle champion, Yule also performed on the main stage in Prather Coliseum. Dr. Lisa Abney managed the fiddle championship. Dr. Susan Roach from Louisiana Tech University emceed the championship.
Four musicians and a renowned filé maker were inducted into the Louisiana Folklife Center’s Hall of Master Folk Artists. Inductees included Louisiana Music Hall of Famer Tab Benoit, who also served as honorary Festival Chair, Cajun musicians Jamie Berzas and Bruce Daigrepont, filé maker John Oswald Colson, and country singer Vanessa Niemann.
Dr. Shane Rasmussen, director of the Louisiana Folklife Center, led the induction ceremony, assisted by State Representative Kenny Cox and Dustin Fuqua, Chief of Resource Management at Cane River Creole National Historical Park. In addition, the honorary award of Folklife Angel was given to long-time Festival crew chief James Christopher Callahan, an NSU alumnus.
In addition to 4 book signings and 8 exhibits by such groups as state parks and archives, over 70 craftspeople displayed their traditional work on Saturday. These craftspeople demonstrated and discussed their work with the Festival patrons. Craftspeople displayed accordion making, beadwork, baskets, Czech Pysanky eggs, filé making, flintknapping, folk art, knives, music instruments, quilting, pottery, spinning & weaving, tatting, walking sticks, whittling and needlework, wood carving, and more. 8 food vendors provided a cornucopia of traditional Louisiana foods to the Festival audience.
Support for the Louisiana State Fiddle Championship and the Natchitoches-NSU Folk Festival was provided by grants from the Cane River National Heritage Area, Inc., the Louisiana Division of the Arts Decentralized Arts Fund Program, the Louisiana Office of Tourism, the Natchitoches Historic District Development Commission, the National Endowment for the Arts, the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation, and the Shreveport Regional Arts Council.
