I want to make a masterpost/list of some definitions
This is mainly a post to sort my thoughts but please add to it!
I haven’t made full rounds on Tumblr or Twitter, but I feel like there needs to be a master list or something close to one for Transformer terms. Just today me and my partner were trying to figure out what the hell Megatron is. In the sense that, Starscream is a seeker. Skyfire is a shuttle. What the hell is Megatron?
Bumblebee is a minibot. Rumble is a minicon. So ‘mini’ is a frame type. ‘Bot’ and ‘Con’ are suffix’s to determine what faction they’re in. So Dinobots and Predacons right? Is there a neutral or standard suffix?
And don’t get me started on City/City-States whatever they are. I know Vos, Kaon, and Iacon but now that I’m getting into more Autobots, more cities are mentioned and transformers wiki isn’t super helpful.
I want to make a massive definition list for all those. Please reblog and add your two cents! I’d appreciate it.
01/10/24: Had a great day fleamarket shopping. Found my usual fun, goodies. My first find was four dvds for $5.00. Then it was a big lot of stuff. The guy with a lot of media was there and for $29 it was all the items in the second pic. Four seasons of Archer, Legend of Korra, South Park and other discs. Two ps2 games, one ps4 game, two ps1 games and a dreamcast one too. And two old toys from the 90s. After this, it was for $6.00: a collectable card game and a Dogman plushie. Followed up by two Demon Slayer manga for $2.00 each. And after that a ps2 Guncon 2 controller for $5.00. Next place, I found some older stuff too. Dvds, VHS and comics, all for $10! I got another forbidden Disney item. A sing-along for Song of the South! And the last thing I bought was Napoleon Dynamite for PSP for $3.00. My first fleamarket find for the year is off to a good start!
We got the Namco GunCon for the original Playstation. While the library of available games that support the thing is slim, I still think light guns are really fun peripherals that sadly have been lost over the years. Had a good time playing some Time Crisis today.
While playing around with it we also learned that the American version of Resident Evil Survivor lacks the GunCon support. For some reason they just got rid of that option all together, while the Japanese and European copies have it intact. Can you believe that? What a weird choice. Common American L as the kids would say.
"Fulcrum. He was the first person I killed. A K-Class who was going to level Starsreach. I shot him. landed a round in his left eye from across the room. I still remember the yelling. The trembling in my hands as his fingers twitched a bit more before his spark faded. After that there was Darklight. and Umbra. and Biteback. Three of the guncons. they were part of a group that breached into the Grand Imperium to kill Orion Pax. I was acting as security. Two shots. the first passed through Biteback's neck, and into Umbra's forehead. The second i put directly into Darklight's chest, caused a Zero-point. he ended up dying a month later in an Autobot Infirmary. Then Blackwall, and then Killswitch, Retrofit, Malignus, Transit, Arm-Or, Trannis, Legonis, I can keep going if you want- I remember their names.
Can name the ships I took out of the sky too- The Rash Action, The Fatal Consequence, The Semper Tyrannis, The Torment, and The Doomsday I took down during The Rorsha Campaign. Back to back. One hundred and thirteen crew members died total, half as many made it out. Names, Ships, Manifests, Operations. I remember what I did. I remember who I did it to, and why I joined the Autobots. Every time I look at my reflection, I remember my sins, and I ignore them, I REPRESS them. I have to- Prime. I have to because if I don't- If I let myself think about it too long, I'll fall apart. I'm a good shot. Too good. People died by my hands, more than by yours, more than by Cliff's, or by Sideswipe's, maybe even more than most Decepticons. Ive killed Hundreds, maybe thousands of people. I've done it, because they shot first, and have kept shooting, and the worst part? The thing that makes my spark freeze up? You all stand around like I'm not some killing machine, I talk to try to drown out my own doubts, and to repress my thoughts, and to- to-
To just IGNORE introspection, and to avoid people looking at me, and examining the things I've done, and the people I've hurt, and- and its just- Primus- it works, its drowns it all out- Primus it works. Then it gets late- gets dark, maybe I'm on patrol, maybe not- It gets dark, and late, and the sun sets, and I- I'm not a religious woman- never have been- but I pray."
"I pray that I can make it to the sunrise in one piece."

Decided I'll chart all my instances of low-poly depression I've been feeling lately. I decided to try emulating Time Crisis 1 to see how easy it is to just use a mouse to play, and it is easy! What was just going to be a few-seconds test became a full playthrough, and this wave of emotions hit me at the end as I was fighting Wild Dog, the final boss.
I recall a neighborhood kid having the Time Crisis PS1 set with the guncon, and we got together on a Friday night and played the crap out of it while eating pizza and just hanging out, I think I was like 8 or so?
That feeling of nostalgia and not having a care in the world besides this game is just so nice, and I'm really starting to feel how far away that time is . . . and it's only getting further.
