In ending A, where you kill Trevor. Michael will start to have those dreams about him. That he sees Trevor in his sleep. And that it is foreshadowed, when Trevor said, "I am your fucking nightmare!" In the Mission called 'Bury the hatchet.'

He even stated, at some point when they were handing out, and they were talking about their friendship. That even in the afterlife, Trevor will come back and haunt Michael every day.

And it becomes true, when Trevor appears in Michaels Nightmares. Trevor haunts his dreams. That I can Imagine, what his dreams would look like.

Michael is sitting in his chair, watching TV. Till he heard, a loud banging on the door. He get's up to investigate, not without preparing himself. He creeps up on the door, then opens it, only to find no one in sight.

He gets confused, and closes the door. Thinking nothing of it. Then he goes back into watching Television. He spends the whole day, watching some programs then decide to get ready for a nap. He turns off the TV.

Then starts to walk back up stairs, walking past the sounds of Jimmy playing his video games, then walked to his master bed room. He walks in, and finds that his room is empty.

There's no Amanda, she must be still out shopping in town. Michael, makes his way to the closet room to change in his Pj's. Which is just some while short's and no shirt.

Then Michael walks back over to his side, of his bead, then made himself comfortable. He lay's back, resting his heads under his arms, and feels himself get droopy. Then while, he was about to zone out, he hears a knock at his Bedroom door.

Michael calls out, "Amanda? Are you back, Honey?" He assumed. No reply. Michael sighed, and moves himself off his bed sluggishly. "Amanda?" He say's again walking up to the door. Then, with out notice. The door busted open, which almost got Michael's heart to explode, as he jumped back in surprise.

And he didn't recognize who it was, first thing, but he was horrified. The person, came in, with an angry expression, Michiel begins to recognize this person quickly, he backs up. The person, had hairy legs, is holding a shot gun, in his hands, with thinned black hair, ontop of his head.

Had that strange odor on him, and is wearing a wavy pink blossomed dress. Michael slammed back into the wall, stuttering "T-Trevor?" Trevor gave him the scariest look, then screamed out, "WHY DID YOU BETRAY ME, YOU F-CKER!?"

Michael screamed out. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-" The dream, then fizzled out, then he felt a person calling out his name, and shaking him awake, while he flailed about, kicking his leg's and shouting. 'Michael...' "AAAAH! AAAAH!" He shouts, 'Michael.

Michael, wake up!' His vision comes around, and he's still a little freaked out he swings his arm, in a direction of where he felt the person, and he kind of hit's them. But they held on as tightly as they can, 'Michael!' A female voice called out, "Michael, it's only in your head sweety!" The females face, came in view.

Grabbing a hold of his arm, but she was also in pain. Michael blinked his eyes, then shook his head then immediately felt very bad. "Amanda!" Michael cried, positioning himself correctly, then put's his hand on her shoulder. While she messages her face, from the impact. "Baby! I'm..I'm so sorry!"

He started to apologize. Amanda, sit's up on her lap, looking at Michael, smiling. "Oh no! It's okay, you were just having a bad dream! It's not your fault!" She assures him, but Michael looks down feeling sad, for hurting his wife.

"But, I hurt you!" He say's, still in shock. Then he felt her hand touch his face, then he looks back up at her, again. "I'm okay, Michael! You didn't hurt me too hard! I understand it, it's fine!" Then she strokes his face, while he eye's her. "You are a strong woman, Amanda."

He tells her, Then he hugs her. And she held, her arms around him, then say's "I'm glad that, you are okay. Too Michael." "Yeah." He agrees softly.

She pet's him softly, and could feel that he's still trembling from that nightmare, "Just relax darling. It's alright. Take deep breaths." She instructed, him. Then he lifts, up his head, then breathed in his nose slowly. "Then count to five.", he holds his breath.

For five seconds. "And let it out." He breaths out. Then she said, "Now, come on. Let's get ready for breakfast. We'll wake the kids up, and get them to join us." She suggested, giving him a smile, before turning away, Michael smiled too.

Then he did the same, he turned around sitting on the edge, of the bed. Then put's his bare feet down to the floor, then stand up. Stretching up his back, feeling the air pockets in his spine, and shoulder blades pop. When he stretched, "Aah." He groaned, then let's his arms fall down to his sides, then looked over watching Amanda walk out the door.

Feeling adored, by looking at her long black messy hair. When she was petting it down, with her hands. "That's my woman..." He whispered, pleasantly with a blush. Then, he went around to the cupboard, to go in, and change out of his Pj's. And into his classic, fancy dress up suit. Ready to start the day.

There are a lot of parts of GTA 5 where the creators display storytelling capabilities that one wouldn't expect from a game like this, but I think the scene where Franklin goes to Michael's house after Ending A is one of the most memorable. It's not particularly flashy, it’s not even a cutscene, but the feeling it creates in the player is unpleasant on several different levels.

Because it's tragic to see the main character and his mentor fall out over a choice you, the player, made, but it's also… cringe inducing, upsetting in a way I couldn't identify at first glance. And not necessarily on Trevor's behalf! You don't have to like him or regret killing him to squirm during that scene.

Even when you measure Michael against the twisted, honor-among-thieves system of morality favored by Trevor and his ilk - people who are so entrenched in their lifestyle that they can't imagine rehabilitation, and compensate by trying to inject some morality into the amoral criminal underworld - he doesn't emerge as some gloating, greedy backstabber à la Benny in the deleted content for FNV. He's not really a coward, and he's certainly not a monster. The game never gives any indication that Michael is lying when he says that he was worried about his young family, that he never meant for Trevor to find out about Brad's death the way he did, that Ludendorff was a difficult decision to make, but he ultimately had altruistic reasons for making it.

The first thing Michael does after the heist goes wrong is tell Trevor to run away; a choice he makes on impulse, but still out of good will. By the time he starts actively concealing the truth about Brad, the FIB have already been exchanging heartfelt messages with Trevor as his dead friend for a solid decade, rendering the time bomb effect of the whole lie that much more foreboding when it was already a likelihood that Trevor would do something atrocious if he found out.

Much of the horror surrounding Trevor's crimes is fridge horror, where what happens is implied but never outright shown, leaving the player's imagination to fill in the gaps. For the first two thirds of the game, the prospect of what Trevor will do when the truth about Brad comes out maintains the same aura of gruesome, unseen violence as what he did to Debra, Leon, Wade's friends, and god knows how many others. You can't expect Trevor himself to be happy about it, but you also can't judge Michael for lying to him. Who wouldn't lie to him. You wouldn't want to end up in the stew.

But by the time you get to Michael killing Trevor, all that grandiose reasoning has collapsed in on itself. The FIB just openly crumbled into gangland style infighting, they're not a coherent threat. If Trevor was still sore about Brad, he could've done something already - something like not going out of his way to save Michael from the government agency he ends up killing him on behalf of, an act which renders Michael's willingness to take him out particularly ironic and shameful.

The only reason Michael is alive to kill Trevor for the FIB is because earlier, Trevor stopped the FIB from killing Michael! Trevor's desire to protect his loved ones, one of his only redeeming qualities, is retroactively transformed into humiliating self-sabotage! And Michael goes through with the most overtly cruel & unusual murder we ever see him commit for the sake of corrupt, incompetent bureaucrats who strung him along and tried to kill him. People who he knows aren't worth working for, if you aren't spineless and paranoid. The whole situation is laughable.

From there, after Trevor is dead, it's no wonder Michael leans into the barebones, social-darwinist cynicism of it all. He's already forsaken what is right for what is easy in the most miserably inglorious way possible; what else is there to do but commit to the bit, just like he did when he first started lying about Brad?

So Michael just burned his oldest friend alive in front of his twenty five year old protege. He mocks him afterwards to mask his own obvious discomfort, and when Franklin reacts negatively, he tells him that he "doesn't understand," as if Frank isn't the one who presented him with this solution in the first place. Michael reminds Franklin of Trevor's nastier habits, as if the two of them haven't been actively utilizing his brutality to give themselves a leg up this whole time, rendering them directly complicit. And he spins a whole yarn about survival and the willingness to make unpleasant choices, promises (in so many words) that he'll stay in Franklin's life, then reinforces it later.

Because Michael was the one who put a gun to Franklin's head and got him involved in all of this at the beginning, all the while padding out their professional relationship with a paternalistic attitude that was reinforced by Michael's disappointment with his biological son and the absence of Franklin's biological father. Whether the two of them were codependent or w/e is anyone's guess, but their relationship certainly wasn't balanced.

And after you've slogged through all of this ugliness, after Michael's done all this talking and made these broad sweeping statements, the man just... pussies out. He stops taking Franklin's calls without explanation. He takes the easy way out again. You have to go find him to ask what's up, and when you do, you don't get a big cinematic cutscene: you get bitched at by an old man with a three day beard in his driveway, an experience which feels like being gaslit, even if that isn't necessarily what Mike's trying to do. The sequence is defined by this blunt sense of anticlimax and disappointment, like you should've seen this coming but didn't, and are now left to feel stupid for it.

There are so many things Michael's doing here. He's dodging responsibility for killing Trevor in an especially brutal way, yeah, but he's doing so by shifting the blame onto Franklin of all people. Franklin who handled that situation with infinitely more decency than he did, despite not knowing Trevor half as well - despite being two decades younger than both of them and a surrogate son figure. Michael pulled the trigger, he ranted and raved about how Trevor deserved it, he told us we did the right thing when we could've just as easily killed his stupid ass, and now he's pissy about it. He's wearing black. He's saying with complete sincerity that you need to shoulder the guilt of what he did for him. Burning a man alive. To a twenty five year old.

And we, the audience, know that this whole series of events started with a decision we made through Franklin. Extratextually, we did choose to kill Trevor. So the immediate response is to say that the scene is sad, for the reason that the narrative presents you with directly - that being that Michael is right, that Frank did do something wrong, and he should be allowed to hate him for it. But when you think about it within the universe itself, it becomes this awful new moral low for Michael. One character emerges looking freshly terrible, and it's him.

And it's not just a random act of cruelty; it's a bad end to the arc Michael had been in for the entire game, as a father, a partner, and a man. Trevor was right in a way that he never would've wanted to be right. It takes his death to fully actualize Michael as the kind of person Trevor spent the entire narrative accusing him of being already: a liar and a coward.

And the moment where that becomes clear is... infinitely crueler and harder to watch than it would’ve been if Michael had never cared to begin with. Imo.

It’s pretty obvious Joel is Texan due to his country or western accent. But I also live in Texas and I don’t have an accent like Joel’s. Something I did notice is that most people in Texas have westerns accents when they live in a rural area. And in the game it looks like Joel lives in a slight rural area part of Texas when they pass the burning house/farm when the infection broke out. I don’t know I really liked this detail!- 🕸️

This is a really interesting fact. Joel's voice is doing things to me, not gonna lie. It's incredible what Troy Baker does with his voice to become Joel. Oh, that husk in his voice. Joel could tell me to go fuck myself, and my panties would fall down.

I can't really judge the accent, though, because, as a non-English speaker, I don't really know much about dialects. But I got to know the difference between some accents when I played GTA 5. Franklin, Michael, and Trevor—each of them had different accents, and Trevor was a total redneck from a rural area part of the gameplay, so I get where you're coming from.

GTA 5 is a game were you play as 3 out laws and take part in heists silly missions and beating people you can play up to 3 players Trevor frank and Michael frank is a small gangster in the beging trying to get money and live good he begins robbing cars and selling them to Simeon Yetarian one day he tells frank to break into a house and steal a car witch he does but what he doesn't know is that Michael is asleep in the back sit and he wakes up and puts a gun to the back of he's dome and tells him to continue driving were he's going which frank obvisely does fearing he's life eventually they get there and he tells frank to pull over and asks him if that's the place frank says yes that's it so Michael says drive through the window if you don't ill put 2 rounds in the back of your head so he does and then Michael pays him tells him to leave and then beats up Simeon Yetarian he then gets in contact with frank again and they become great mates doing heists together and crimes Michael sees frank as a son he never had they then pull of a crazy hard jewellery shop heist so crazy it ends up on the news and Michael says a catch fraise of he's to a camera man he hits you then meet Trevor a mess of a man who lives in a caravan and is doing some business with someone ealses girlfriend as he's doing this he sees the news about the jewellery job and recognises Michael the only problem is Michael faked he's death and snitched on Trevor with out him knowing Trevor cant believe he's alive and gets angry cus he has anger problems and is insane he then kills the girls boyfriend cus he's mad at him for sleeping with he's girl after killing him Trevor goes to LA to find Michael to see if he is truly alive

I think what pisses me off about Criminal Minds ending is that I won't get to see anymore of Tara, Luke and Matt, and yet I've been so attached to them. It frustrates me that they'll never get the attention and storyline they deserve cause all the writers care about is Reid

GOD DO I FEEL YOU THERE, dude. It’s cool Reid is getting a new love interest, but I honestly and really don’t care at this point. I could talk about the downfall of my love for Reid for hours, but basically, it boils down to: they spent too much time on him and I got bored. And the promise of Matt, Luke and Tara, like you said had potential! New storylines we haven’t seen before! But there has been so unbelievably little that it’s disappointing. Of course, Matt did have a bit of a storyline on Beyond Borders, but even there it was fairly lackluster. We know of Tara’s dad, her brother, and her ex-husband - but what really about HER? Besides cars, what are her interests? And for that matter, Luke and Matt’s? Are any of them artistically inclined? Does Matt take his kids mini-golfing (something I used to do with my dad)? What do they do when they’re not at work? I could tell you at least something about this about Spencer, Emily, Rossi, JJ - hell, even Derek. And Luke’s family background is small too - we know he was inspired to join the army by his dad, but (from what I remember) that’s all. Personally, I’ve always imagined he was raised by his grandmother. There’s just a lot to expand with them and you’re right, it’s frustrating there’s been so little.

Things we might have forgotten in GTA5

In many fanfics scoping the internet, I had to compile a list of things some players tend to forget. Many of them are small, but others are pretty good for character enhancements, I hope you enjoy it!

(Also most of them are about Trevor lmao, but I tried to stretch it for all of them)

Franklin went to prison prior to the events of the game causing him to want to reevaluate his life and eventually getting a real job with Lamar.

Michael was a football quarterback in his youth.

Trevor played hockey and golf growing up.

Trevor had a brother (named Ryan) who disappeared under mysterious circumstances, some believing Trevor had been the root behind it, but nothing was proven.

Both Michael and Trevor where criminals from the beginning, but Michael had been the one who influenced Trevor first. Leading to the infamous story of the flare gun in someone’s eye. They both got sick and threw up after disposing the body.

Amanda had been a stripper and it’s hinted that her name had been Krystal. Michael had met her at a strip club and bought her plastic surgery to enhance her boobs.

Trevor has tattoos on his hands. A pentagram on the back of his right hand, a scorpion at the bridge of his right thumb, a skull on the back of his left hand, and a pair of pilot wings on the bridge of his left thumb. Also the words “Fuck You” written on his knuckles. (I believe he’s also the only character to have in-canon tattoos without the influence of the player)

Franklin’s dad had been abusive and left before Franklin was even born. Franklin’s mother had also turned to cocaine and died when he was very young leaving him with his grandparents until they too died, leaving him with his aunt.

Trevor was prepared to kill an officer when he finds out cops had racially profiled Franklin. Despite Franklin taking it as a joke, Trevor is still disgusted.

Michael calls Franklin “son” many times in the story line solidifying the father-son dynamic they shared and proving that Trevor had been correct by saying Franklin was “the son he never had.”

Trevor actually didn’t like Brad, confessing to Franklin (while drunk) that Brad wasn’t the best and he was only going to leave with him since Michael could no longer pull jobs.

Michael and Amanda grew up in a trailer park somewhere in the mid-west, most likely North Yankton. While Trevor grew up on the Canadian-American border.

Trevor had been there for the birth of Michael’s kids, coming to even be known as “Uncle T” by his kids. (This is pretty common, but it’s cute, can you imagine the fics around this time???)

Franklin is never seen wearing purple, the rival gang’s colors as homage to his own affiliation. (He wears mainly green, but every store you take him will never actually give you a choice to buy anything in purple.)

Trevor is very intelligent. He’s not a stupid hick, he’s excellent at math and even shows how he can pull off whole heists (successfully too) without help.

Michael is a sharpshooter, which means he’s excellent at darts.

Trevor has track marks up and down his arms, and he also has a cut scar right above his stomach, though it’s never implied on what the cut scar had been from.

Franklin is still in love with his ex-girlfriend despite her announcement of an engagement, he has a photo of the two of them in his bedroom at his aunt’s house.

Michael’s son, Jimmy, had been a baseball player sometime in his youth.

Tracy knows how to bake.

All three protagonists smoke cigarettes (as there are packs throughout the character’s bedrooms and homes), but you only ever see Michael light up a cigar.

Trevor is a serial killer. Known for taking drifters and hitchhikers.

Michael is the only character to graduate high school, Franklin had been expelled, and Trevor dropped out.

After GTA:5, Trevor moves to LS and became a “lifestyle coach,” but it’s still hinted he is still in the drug business.

Trevor’s mom in Mrs. Philips, had most likely been some form of hallucination, as it’s implied that she may have died, or was still in prison.

None of the character’s family, other than Trevor’s brother, Ryan, have been named.

Trevor tends to be interested in older women.

Michael should still have a scar from being shot all those years ago, but I can’t find it nor is there proof of it online.

Michael

When you told him you were pregnant, he was over the moon. But that nervousness about becoming a father eventually caught up to him.

Michael takes great care of you, treating you like you're so fragile, and any wrong move could hurt you.

He feels so bad for you when you're suffering from severe morning sickness, and he makes sure that he's there to hold your hair back and comfort you when you find yourself being sick again.

He's utterly amazed as those nine months go by. Just watching you grow and nurture your baby has him in awe.

The anticipation drives him crazy. He just wishes nine months went quicker.

Though a few times Michael has had a nervous breakdown. Telling you his worries and doubts about himself becoming a father. It all begins to daunt on him a month before you're due.

Michael does everything for you. He has you resting as much as possible and instead he tends to things that you would normally do around the house. If you insist on getting up to do something, Michael will help you with whatever it is.

You receive so much love and care during the time you're pregnant. It can be so surprising to see Michael this way.

Trevor

He was utterly speechless when you told him you were pregnant, immediately giving you a long, loving hug.

Trevor will try his best to take care of you, but he isn't too sure what to do sometimes. He may need a little bit of guidance.

Your morning sickness won't bother him at all. No matter how bad it gets, Trevor will always be there to soothe you if you're being sick again.

He constantly reminds you of how beautiful you are, and develops a sweet habit of hugging you from behind, letting his hands softly caress your growing tummy.

Trevor's worries get worse, especially as your due date gets closer. He talks with you late at night and unapologetically spills his heart to you, telling you his fears of becoming a father.

He seeks so much reassurance, and you're there to do just that. He comforts you just the same if you find yourself scared.

The closer you get to having the baby, the more excited Trevor gets. He's practically bouncing with joy.

During this time, it's the most loving and tender side of Trevor you will see. No one else gets this special treatment; only you.

Michael:

– has a brother named Trevor

– has a little brother who is not actually very little (is eight or something)

– is a lawyer

Trevor:

– seems to be a pretty popular kid

– seems like he doesn't have many friends, and has a friend with a weird name (Trevor)

Franklin:

– has a pretty big house with many cars in his driveway and a pool in the backyard

Michael:

– makes out with a guy called Trevor and refers to his brother as his brother-in-law and talks about how much they share a "mindset"
