#02tbluibirthday2024#also OBSESSED WITH LUI AND HIKARI AS FRIENDS#Since Hikari works with kids and Lui had a difficult childhood#they've both volunteered at local centers to help children who don't have proper support.#Lui wasn't as skilled as Hikari in the beginning and struggled to connect to many kids. With his scar and awkward personality#Lui doesn't connect with any kids and is often seen as intimidating#it isnt until hikari decides this kid needs lui's help#for context this kid is quiet and gets overwhelmed by the other children v easily so they separated themself from the group#hikari encourages lui so he finally tries one last time#after sitting with the kid he talks until they go out of their shell#eventually the kid bonds with lui and refuses to leave his side#(lui doesn't wanna admit it but he almost cried after the kid gave him a hug before leaving that day)#i want to draw this comic so bad but i dont have the time ahh#Lui Ohwada#Digimon#Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning#myart

ive been watching digimon recently, and one thing that has greatly reduced my frustration with the characters and the show is to just. remember their ages and circumstances. the digidestined demonstrate remarkable capability, skill, and maturity for their age, but they are still kids. so when theres stupid, somewhat contrived shit, i remind myself theyre Literally Children and stop being annoyed abt it
