I know I've been venting about ed Tumblr alot but just wanna put it out there here are all the things I experience at 22 after having OSFED+Anorexia nervosa from 12-15 with flare ups since then during recovery:

A permanent orange ring around my mouth which has not gone away for 10 years, it happens during serious starvation. It doesn't matter how well I eat now it's still there.

A chronic illness I've had for 4+ years, it prevents me from doing anything physical for much of the day, it impacts my brain giving me brain inflammation causing a number of symptoms I do not have the time to write down. My nervous system was so severely impacted by my ED my body and brain gave in.

My hair quality never recovered fully, especially around where my hair is closest to my neck, it's stringey and unable to grow properly 10+ years later.

My skin quality, there's a slight grey tint to it that's never gone away for 10+ years.

Endometriosis, my period pains are more severe than typically labour pain, for 3 days a month I am hunched over screaming my heart out as if I'm being brutally stabbed to death and sobbing. I'll be doing anything and then I'm on the ground convulsing.

My bones and feet: My feet shrunk two sizes after starving. I was measured at birth and was supposed to be 5'8, I'm 5'3. I get bone pain alot, they ache badly.

I'll add if I can think of anything else.

Thinspo Tumblr is not your friend, the people who run those accounts who brainwashed me at 12 have blood all over their hands and so do Tumblr staff for tolerating it.

When you have a shit ton of aesthetics that are dedicated to looking as dead as possible, and they’re not at all talking about alternative culture (aka using makeup to look haunted, and pale or grey), but are instead about thinspo and whiteness, and the glorification of eating disorders, you know society has a problem.
