People were never my strongest artistic suit, but I tried with Reggie.
(I picture him with straight hair and freckles.)

this is meant to represent makima’s manipulation and the two faces she wears. the flower, a black dahlia, set in place of her head is a symbol of betrayal. denji has an exposed heart in place of his head to represent vulnerability and therefore, being more susceptible to manipulation. the hands are meant to signal and present the journey the manipulator will lead the manipulated. at first, the stairs look normal and fine, but as they go on, they become corrupted and rocky. i made the choice to have the eyes come out of the ocean bc the ocean is vast, it’s engulfing, and it seems to go on forever; the same way a relationship with a manipulative person feels like (romantic, platonic, or familial).

A small element of a much larger piece. I started the year off initiating the execution of this large concept that’s been collecting dust in my mind’s eye for some time now. Hope you didn’t think I abandoned you. I haven’t. It was a long hibernation but I’m finally emerging from my cave and I’m feeling hungry. I have some big plans for us in the next few months including the opening of my new store on January 27th, the release of a new perfume in February and several new pieces for several upcoming shows. Exciting to be living again. Hope you’re all having a killer Tuesday.
