Two times Ed gives zero fucks about the destruction of Gotham, two times he stays because of what someone else says
And don't be like "he couldn't use the submarine without another person" he's the riddler, I'm sure he could figure something out, he already said "Oswald, if you walk off this dock I'm taking the submarine!", He may be stupid but he's still smart yk he could have handled it.
Yet he's saying he has a similar connection with the city like Oswald does? He didn't have that connection the first time he wanted to leave. He didn't have that connection when he was trying to stop Oswald. He never mentioned it before. Which brings me to my next point
Did he go to the gcpd to try to convince Oswald again to run away? In that case, being moved by Oz's words he heard is... plausible I guess. Kinda, I still don't believe him
Or did he go already knowing he'd have to fight for the city, side by side with Oz? (And I'm saying specifically side by side with Oz cus he was very clear he despise all those people at the gcpd etc.)
I don't know. You gonna find just questions from me, I don't draw conclusions
And do I need to talk about the parallels? Of him saying "I'll do it for you" to Lee and her responding "do it for us"
And then have Oswald say "follow your heart for once"?
He stayed for Oswald, point fucking blank. Literally no other explanation.
Also, when he said "following your heart has never worked out for you' what if he was talking also to himself? Trying to tell himself "last time I stayed for a person we stabbed eachother I'm not doing this again" WHICH MAKES THE HUG SCENE EVEN MORE INTERESTING WHY EVERYTHING ENDS UP HAVING TO DO WITH THAT SCENE I SWEAR
