There's something about Crowley's calm quiet here that hit me.
Even if only for a while, sitting on that bench he allows himself to relax leaving worries aside. A moment like there have already been in the last few years that allows him to peek through keyhole to see what the precious and peaceful life has always wanted to spend together with his angel could really be like, without restriction.
Sometimes surprised himself by thinking how despite the millions of years passed, a thousand vicissitudes and an existence as occult and ethereal entities in the illimitable vastness of the universe have found each other and choose each other every time. Unlikely perhaps, but not impossible given that both are halves of the same soul and neither could ever truly exist without the other by their side. And Crowley knows it. This is all absolutely surprising. And as much as it annoys him, has long since stopped fighting against that feeling so great as to trascend time that he can almost no longer manage it.
Who knows what could have happened from there to eternity if Jim(briel) had never upset their lives, or rather if hadn't already been planned for armageddon to happen.
But at that moment there wasn't room for those thoughts. In that moment there was only room to savor those brief moments of happiness disguised as a challenge to see how far Aziraphale would go whit the meeting of the Whickber Street shopkeepers and street traders association.
Secretly hoping that won't have to pretend anymore at some point.

I can't find any gifs or pictures but can we please, just for a second, remember and focus on the faces Aziraphale pulls when Crowley is talking nonsense to Shax, making up rules to prevent the demons from hurting the humans at the end of the ball? Those faces that say "yep, yep, all true, the rules, yep" while at the same time making it absolutely clear that he had no idea what Crowley was talking about? Let's remember that for one moment, so that our day can be filled with angelic silliness.

The circular bookshop rug CHANGES?!
(Edit: this is the rug that rests on top of the portal, under the chandelier. I think(?) there's only one of those!)
I saw someone mention this in a comment, but haven't seen any pics or discussion about it yet, so I checked. It's another inexplicable (ineffable?) "continuity" error:
S2e1, prepping to do the half miracles to hide Jim!Gabriel:
S2e5, as Nina enters the ball:
(More pics, including the season ONE rug, which was used for an s2 promo photo, and some discussion, below)
S2e5, prepping to defend the bookshop from the demons after Crowley walks most of the humans out:
S2e6, Crowley tidying the bookshop while Azi has a chinwag:
And sure, Aziraphale could have enchanted it to look more "Jane Austen-esque" for the ball, but then why did it change back in e6? It looks like Nina and Maggie's clothes for the ball stayed throughout e6, so it's not like the ball enchantments expired, Cinderella-style, or something...
Like the two different wigs for Crowley in Job, it seems superfluous to have two different rugs for the bookshop. And yet ...
It seems like it must be a Clue about something! Unreliable Narrator(s)? Another magic trick we didn't see? What do you think?
Edit 2: @rebeccasteventaylor had a good question about the rug in s1. I checked, and you'll perhaps be unsurprised to learn that the rug in s1e4, when Azi talks to Floating Head Metatron, is similar to s2e1 when they do the half miracle, but definitely not the same. The chairs also look similar but not exact:
And here's a wider view of s1e4:
And a wider view of s2e1:
I understand they Actually Burned the bookshop and everything inside during s1, and then had to recreate it for s2 (there's a really wild post about recreating a hand painted antique tiled sink that talks more about that), so I don't know if the similar-but-not-exact chairs, big red rug, and round rug are more casualties of that, or are meant to look different...
Edit 3: EXCEPT. They USED the season 1 rug in season 2 promo photos!
So... they didn't burn it? Or they did burn it and then they recreated it and didn't actually use it for s2??
I can't think or even breathe, this is SO WEIRD.

Imagine season 3 of good omens beginning with a flashback like in season 1 + 2 but this one is angel Crowley being taken away by uriel and Micheal, You see a young Muriel walk past looking confused and scared, she ignores it because she doesn’t want to get into trouble.
Angel Crowley is SCREAMING ‘Micheal!!! Uriel!!!! What have I done?!?!! Where am I going?!?!’ In the background while the camera closes in on Muriel = 😨 Then it click transitions into now Muriel = 🙁 struggling in the human world now.

Of course it needed to happen at a ball. Of course it needed to be a dance. Of course Aziraphale was so fixated on that. From his perspective what could be a more perfect way to blatantly declare I love you the way humans love each other? What could be a more perfect way to wordlessly shout I love you to the point of defiance of what I am? Angels don't dance but darling I do. I'm the angel that goes with you. We don't have to be lonely. We can just be us.
