Supernatural steddie because I love succubus Steve and Eddie who's just hopelessly in love
Eddie Munson who moves away from his home town in Chicago to quiet little Hawkins, Indiana. It's not supposed to be permanent, just a temporary relocation. He just needs to get away for a bit. Why not spend the summer in a ghost town that seems to be stuck in the 80's? (Maybe he's a slow-to-fame musician who relocates to Hawkins for inspiration after hearing the rumors about the town.)
He tries not to be put off by how weird everyone is. Everyone just seems sort of...off. Especially his absurdly hot next-door neighbor, who seems to have a new partner every night and herds around a group of kids during the day.
Complete with witch Robin OR werewolf Robin, vampire Nancy, and the kids are probably all werewolves too.
(Side bar everyone who writes mini fics in my reblogs I love and adore you)

I know we usually pair up nurse Steve and single dad Eddie but RIDDLE ME THIS BATMAN
Nurse Steve who's the Healthcare dude back stage and rockstar Eddie who just passed out mid performance.
And honestly, Eddie never really takes the time to know who the medic people are because, in his mind, he'll never need them. It's just a thing he's required to have. So imagine his surprise when he wakes up and this gorgeous guy is hovering over him, trying to figure out what's wrong with him....omg
As someone who's getting their LPN next year...I love.

I'm a sucker for Italian Steve so here's THIS
What about foreign exchange student Stefano Harrington who moves in with the Munson's for the school year.
This would be so cute y'all think about it. Steve being so excited and confused about American "culture" and the whole time Eddie's like "I wanna marry this dude".
And in this Eddie would be the kids' babysitter so they all meet Steve for the first time and they kids think he's so cool and Eddie is high key jealous of him.
And the biggest perk....there was only one bed.
(Logistically this makes no sense but I love it anyway)

It's always steddie adopting Dustin or steddie adopting Max but what about
Steddie adopting Erica?? They would be the cutest family ever. ORRR Erica and Dustin sibling duo OR OR Erica and Max as siblings... honestly idk if steddie could survive that one.

Steve being a tiktok chef though.
His face is never in the videos, just his hands making the jiggliest of fluffy cakes, the thickest souffle pancakes, the most melt in your mouth mugs of hot chocolate and gloriously soft gooey cookies and brownies that you can just feel warming your very soul through your phone screen.
He has his own cafe, it's nothing fancy, it's not some five michelin star ritzy restaurant, it's a cosy little family owned bakery/restaurant that does takeaway orders.
and rockstar Eddie Munson, while logged into the band's tiktok account absolutely high as a kite going feral over those brownies. And those hands.
It all works out in the end though, because Steve posts a video shortly after The Event™️ the camera showing his full face and torso behind a desk inviting the CC boys to do a collab at the cafe whenever they're next in town, promising to teach them how to make the brownies Eddie went feral over.
And if he maybe wants to use the opportunity to maybe smooch the feral guitarist off camera thats ENTIRELY between him and Eddie.

Steve and Eddie hook up at a random bar and Steve is easily the best Eddie's ever had. (Not that Eddie has much experience but he has enough to know that Steve is good in bed)
So good in fact, that Eddie finds himself thinking about Steve a lot. He even catches himself looking for hazel eyes and brown hair when he goes places. He doesn't realize he does it so often until his son, Dustin, calls him out on it.
And then it's the next week and it's Dustin's first year of middle school. Eddie just happened to be so busy the week before that he couldn't take Dustin to meet his teachers. All he knows is that Mr. Harrington's English class is at the end of the hall, so he walks Dustin to his first hour. Mentally pats himself on the back because he hasn't looked for Steve since they walked in and maybe it's a sign that he's moved on.
He doesn't realize who's standing at the door at first. He's too caught up in hyping his son up for his first year of middle school. But when he does look up and see his gold star hook up Steve standing there in a sweater vest and glasses on his nose, he freaks out. Thinks about grabbing Dustin, running out of there, and enrolling him in homeschooling.
And, as if God is treating his life like a sitcom, Steve's not just a teacher he's Dustin's teacher.

Modern steddie as content creators au??
Steve and Robin have a very popular podcast where they tell personal stories, rant about trending media topics, all that jazz
Eddie is a Twitch streamer who plays fantasy games, streams his DND campaigns, plays music
And maybe they collide because Eddie listens to their podcasts sometimes in the bg of his streams and during an episode Steve is talking about how Dustin introduced him to a DND streamer (so that he could finally understand the game) but Steve doesn't actually learn anything because he thinks Eddie is HOT
They move on from the topic as fast as they started it because Robin sees that as her opportunity to make fun of Steve for his taste in people
And maybe they meet irl at one of those influencer parties or at a comic con??

Everyone always talks about Dustin or Max being Steve and Eddie's kids but why does no one talk about Erica??
It would be so cute just think about it. She would make steddie fics so much more interesting and for some reason no one ever includes her.
I just want to see Erica embracing that more nerdy side of herself with Eddie and I think Steve would love practicing different hairstyles on Erica too.
Like Erica and Eddie are discussing DND ideas while Steve is braiding Erica's hair— it would be so cute omg

lucas on the line is about lucas trying to find out who he is as a black kid and dealing with his relationship with max. it's not about byler or mileven or any other ship/character, so can you guys focus on him for once and stop making it about someone else?

I was ranting to my friend about how random Eddie's death was when Steve went through the exact same thing and then I thought...
What if Steve wasn't okay? What if instead of him being perfectly fine, he just pretended to be. He doesn't want the group to worry about him and they have bigger problems to worry about besides the aching in his gut and how dizzy he feels. (OR he thinks about telling but he doesn't think they'll care so he just...keeps it to himself.)
The group doesn't even realize that Steve isn't doing okay until they're getting off their bikes. Riding the bike has reopened pretty much all of his wounds and the blood soaks through Nancy's makeshift bandages within seconds.
Robin notices first. She realizes that Steve is walking way behind the rest of them and that he's holding his stomach. Robin walks over to him just as he collapses.
And Steve is still insisting that they go on without him, that he'll be fine and that they don't need him. Robin and Eddie are freaking out and Nacy is trying hard to think of something. Some sort of plan to fix this.
Omg and what if they're able to carry Steve inside of Nancy's house in the upside down and that's where they're able to communicate to the kids that Steve is hurt.
And when they're finally able to get out of the upside down, Nancy has to tell Dustin that Steve didn't make it.
Nothing like some sadness to start off my morning.

Green eyed epiphany trope but steddie??
Steve, Eddie and Robin are a tight knitted group. They hang out all the time a share just about everything with each other.
And sure, Eddie has noticed how absurdly attractive Steve is, (who hasn't?), but Eddie doesn't like him like that. Jocks aren't really his type anyway. Or, at least that's what he thought.
Until Steve comes into his trailer one day raving about a date he just went on with some random guy. He's just going on and on about how sweet he was and how much they had in common and Eddie can't stand it.
It really shouldn't be a big deal. Steve talkes about all if the dates he goes on, but something about this random guy makes Eddie jealous.
Turns out maybe Jocks are his type after all.
(And the guy Steve likes is punk for extra punk vs metalhead *drama*)

Recently started a job at a diner and it's got me thinking...
Waiter Steve and busboy Eddie omg
Eddie is a new hire who's only working there because Uncle Wayne doesn't approve of his dealing. When he first gets there he's sure he's going to hate it. Everyone is so...Hawkins and there's nothing Eddie hates more than Hawkins but then he sees Steve with his perfectly styled hair and polite smile and he suddenly thinks he might not hate it too much.
They're constantly slammed, so they don't get to talk much, but they share enough smiles and quick shoulder touches between booths that Eddie is perfectly satisfied.
Steve doesn't even yell at him like the other servers do. All he does is tap his shoulder and nod to a table that needs to be cleaned— unlike Robin who yells "Hey Munson! Get on it!" And flicks him on the forehead.
Eddie just happens to take his break at the same time as Steve and they finally get to talk. Eddie's worried he might scare him away with his big personality and need for closeness, but Steve laughs at everything he says and doesn't lean away when Eddie gets close.
Maybe a blossoming spring romance?
(ALSO the younger kids would be hosts/work the register)

I really want Robin and Erica to have the same dynamic as Steve and Dustin. I think Erica would really look up to Robin, especially after S3.
And, hear me out, on that same note, Dustin and Erica have the potential to be the next Steve and Robin. They have that same brother/sister teasing relationship that Steve and Robin have. Plus in s4, when Dustin confirms that the older kids are safe, he turns to Erica first.
THE POTENTIAL IS THERE PEOPLE

I love the idea of rockstar Eddie having a lot of messy public breakups and stuff like that. Like I just know whenever people see Eddie's name in newspapers or hear it on TV, that it's never something good. Messy break ups, drug use, and calling out brands and news sources. (Which isn't bad necessarily but it's a scandal nonetheless)
Enter; Reputation Manager Steve Harrington who's got a shit ton of work ahead of him.

Steddie au set in the early 2000s where Steve is in an indie band and Corroded Coffin is starting to take off. Eddie decides to play at a smaller venue in Indiana as a homage to his home town and because CC is the last to play, Eddie gets to see Steve perform.
Eddie is head over heels the moment Steve gets on the stage and starts talking. And even though CC is technically bigger than Steve's band, he feels honored when Steve shouts them out.
The band plays a few songs and on the last one, Steve looks directly at Eddie, and Eddie is GONE. The song is full of sexual innuendos and at first Eddie thinks it was just a coincidence that Steve happened to look at him while singing one of those lines, but he just keeps. doing. It.
So Eddie makes sure he does the same to Steve when it's time for CC to perform.

Wait cause imagine next season when/if Steve dies, we get his funeral and we get to see his parents. They aren't crying, in fact they're treating this like another business opportunity— smiling, shaking hands and capitalizing on all of their partners being at the same place.
And they don't even speak when given the chance to, they just set down their flowers and sit back down. But Robin and Dustin go up and say so much about him, things his parents didn't know, didn't care to know.
After the ceremony, Robin isnt sad, she's just angry. Angry for Steve because even at his funeral his parents care more about their business instead of him. And she just snaps and goes off on them in front of everyone.
It would be such a badass scene omg
