hi! if we've read a fic that goes along with someone's ask, what are the rules regarding suggesting it? it's replying with the title and author allowed, or no? love your work and dedication!!

If it's your own fic that fits the bill it is not only allowed, we encourage it! There are no hard and fast rules about adding recommendations to posts in replies or reblogs.

It would be nice if people considered their wording. For example 'you forgot X fic' or 'don't forget Y fic' comes across as though we haven't done a good enough job.

And it would also be nice if people checked the tags we link to in a post before suggesting more fics, because we may have recommended it before. We try to recommend new and unsung fics because we don't just want to be recommending the same already very popular fics over and over and over again.

I become more and more convinced with every passing day that Crowley does pick up on Aziraphale tone. I don't think they had a plan or they somehow make one in a secret language and I don't think Crowley stops time but I'm sure Crowley knows. At some point between Aziraphale starting talking and him leaving the bookshop it hit him.

HOLY CRAP what if that ridiculous conversation between Nina and Maggie was a red herring to make us think that Crowley was too preoccupied with "Oh my gosh I have to declare my feelings right now" to think about anything else, and distract us from the fact that Crowley actually DID pick up on how stressed-out Aziraphale was and figure out whatever weirdness was going along, and actually said and did all the things he needed to do in that scene?

Ok, I'm the donkey between two equidistant bales of hay. One says "you'll never sell this to me", the other says "you're freaking me out".

so. what has been bothering me A LOT about aziraphale's face in the final 15. and THAT smile.

You know the one.

It does not look like his face. at all.

It isn't how he holds his face when he smiles, he doesn't normally close his lips like that. His eyes aren't shaped like that. That's why it is so uncanny valley. It's not him to me. I may be bonkers. (That's always possible.) But that's why it looks so unhinged, so disturbing, besides the most devastating timing.

But you know who does hold their mouth that way when they smile? You know whose eyes look a bit more like that when they smile?

I'm effin' breathing into a paper back right now. It's CREEPY.

But you know how there was that post where Neil talked about what an insanely good mimic Michael Sheen is? And how he turned to look because he thought it was David Tennant slagging off Aziraphale, and it was MICHAEL SHEEN doing an impression? [found it, thank you @fuckyeahgoodomens!]

And also, how excellent Michael was in the appearance swap in Season 1?

Do you also remember/have you seen the theories that Aziraphale mouths "we need help" when he's speaking to Crowley in the final fifteen? ["We need help" final 15 post. h/t @somehow-a-human]

Who would they have to help them now? Not heaven. Not hell. Not each other, this is too big now. But who might be powerful enough? Who was holding their hands when they performed the 25 Lazarii miracle whoopsie?? Who no longer has any allegiance to heaven? Who did AZIRAPHALE JUST HELP PROTECTING FROM HEAVEN???

GuYSs. Could...it be?

This is all in my brain because someone wrote up a thing about the line "books are like people but portable" (aeeugh I can't find any of these right now, I'll go back to find the links) [edit: okay this one is here. thank you, @tossyouforedinburgh] right before the final 15? and "who is the book"? who has been ORGANISING ALL THE BOOKS? Could the memories of Aziraphale/Aziraphale HIMSELF have been saved into a book? The only person they could learn this from is Gabriel, because he knows how. He put himself into a fly.

I have not been thinking about this long, so it may be easily dismissible, but I have been thinking about it long enough I had to say something. I almost didn't post.

But...look at the FACES. It's WEIRD.

I've got very few blogs I receive notifications from and for two of these quite often ( but not always) I receive notifications only moments apart. So, really just curiosity, is one of you mods also a mod in another aziraphalian blog?

Recently, at great expense, I enlisted the help of a shadowy network of operatives who I was assured were competent, discreet, and reliable. I was informed they were primarily overseen by bloggers Major Saucepan, Tin, Milk, and Cupboard, and Captain Smith, Smith, Smith, Smythe, and Ditto. But these are, as I recently discovered to my dismay, all aliases for one person, who has been grotesquely overcharging me for his help and is not familiar with even the basics of online identity protection. Possibly this all somehow traces back to the army of rats that occasionally does odd jobs for me. At this point I’m not entirely sure myself. I started taking on more help for this blog and after that everything just spiraled out of control.

I don’t know what’s real anymore.

Even Neil Gaiman isn’t real now, they tell me.

Maybe nothing is real.

Oh! Something similar happened to me with my operatives! I can't tell you how disappointed I was when I found out that the extra £20 note I sent for witchfinder mayor Milkbottle had gone all in condensed milk!

I was struggling with writing a chapter of my WIP and I needed to get something more lighthearted done. This is a tiny one shot, the year is 2030 and Crowley comes to the bookshop drunk. An as of yet canon divergent, angst-free, fluff-filled, rather silly tale of a night in the life of an angel and a demon.

I just think that it'd be funny if, after all this speculation about how horrible Crowley's Fall was and his drunken rambling of "a million-light-year freestyle dive into a pool of boiling sulfur", it turned out he just had the longest most boring elevator ride ever down to basement Hell and then stepped in a very small puddle of warm sludge of questionable origin when the doors opened.
