I got extremely busy during Suguru’s birthday and wasn’t sure I’d be able to make anything for Goge week either, but then the stupidest idea hit me for the Day 1 prompt “jealousy”, so here we are. 🤣💀🫡

Chapter seven of Love is in the hands

I think it’s my favourite one yet (unless you count chapter 5 maybe). I gave Gojo too much rizz.

Summary

After getting kicked out of his home for being queer, Suguru comes across Satoru, his childhood sweetheart, in a strange gay bar that is owned by his new “family”: a bunch of queer social rejects who were taken in by Yuki, an eccentric matriarch. He finds a new home (and his long lost love) there.

Glimpse

“Was I that good?” Suguru jokes. A wise man once said good sex was transformative. “I think you’d make a great chef. You’re annoying enough to make it work. Ever thought about being a model though? It could help you afford your new dream,” Suguru suggests.

“Nah. Working for other people sounds like hell. The bar is only fine because it’s a family business. Besides, I don’t do much: just dancing around, serving customers, human resources and accounting,” Satoru says. He unwraps a stray lollipop and puts it in his partner’s mouth before repeating the action with another one, for himself. “Would you be mad if I posted nude photos on the internet and got paid for it?” he jokes.

Suguru gazes at him lovingly. “I’d only be mad if you asked someone else to take the photos. If your fanbase ever wanted more, I’d gladly fuck you in front of a camera to make them happy,” he jokes back.

“Let's not let those skills go to waste. Right?,” Satoru laughs. “Did you ever send these types of pictures to anyone? I’m convinced you take great ones. Just like a girl,” he says with a teasing smile. 

“Not exactly,” Suguru answers. “That one guy I used to mess with had a whimper fetish or something so he asked me for nut videos. He was nice and gave great blow jobs so I didn’t mind,” he laughs. “Things didn’t end well between us so I deleted his number.”

“He fell in love with you?” Satoru asks. 

“And wouldn’t take no as an answer,” Suguru finishes. It’s a story he knows all too well.

“Did you break his nose?” Satoru teases. Suguru had almost forgotten about that incident. To think such a thing would kill the unbearable distance between their lonely, aching hearts. Will they ever abide by the classical rules of romance?

“I only do that to people who hurt you,” Suguru announces with his eyes locked to Satoru. The blue pupils instantly shrink. “Have you, though? As Ki’s muse you must know your way around posing,” he points out.

Satoru turns his face and rests his cheek on the back of his hand. “Once or twice but it was transactional,” he mumbles. “I’d send you one though, for free,” he adds with one eye on Suguru. 

“You’re way too generous, my love. Don’t do it when I’m in class though,” Suguru warns.

You know i was in to my grief with gojo dying and dazai also dying in one week that something come to my mind. . .(someone should name this week. I have thinking about "grief week" or "hellish week")

With gojo and geto dying in a exact same day after a year and with everything he said in afterlife and how he wanted geto be there for him

‘It’s fine.’ He gathered Suguru’s hands in his, bringing them to his lips to plant a kiss over the new band sitting snug around his index finger. ‘I’ve got a sweet treat right here.’ And Suguru had the nerve to tell him, ’I’m not sweet, Satoru.’ Silly, silly Suguru. He was looking at Satoru like he’d said something blasphemous — as though “sweet” and “Suguru” were two fundamentally incompatible things. Satoru knew better. ’Wrong,’ he said simply, and his silly, sweet Suguru opened his mouth to disagree. Satoru slapped a hand over it before he could utter a single word, using the other to thread Suguru’s fingers through his. ’Seriously?’ Satoru asked, a little incredulous. ‘You’re, like, the least qualified person to argue with me about this.’ He prodded at Suguru’s pretty lips to emphasise his point. ‘You’ve fucked up your taste buds with all those curses, you wouldn’t know sweet if it hit you in the face.’ At his careless tone, dark brows knitted together in genuine displeasure. Tightening his grasp on Suguru’s fingers, Satoru hurriedly pressed on. ‘Meanwhile I—’ He summoned what he hoped was his most devastating grin, pulling his hand back from Suguru’s lips to press it flat against his own chest. ‘—am a dessert connoisseur.’ That gloomy expression shifted into something resembling the exasperation Suguru always wore whenever Satoru went off on one of his tangents. He seized his chance, going heavy on the dramatics for the build-up to the grand finale. ‘Kikufuku from Sendai, gelato from Florence, dulce de leche from Buenos Aires, cakes and pastries from the finest patisseries in Paris.’ He waved his free hand dismissively, trying to temper his excitement as he approached the payoff. ‘It’s easier to name a dessert I haven’t tried. I’ve tasted the best of the best from all over the world,’ he assured Suguru, his voice light and airy — until it wasn’t. ‘But I’ve also tasted you.’ A blush spread like strawberries and cream across Suguru’s cheeks, even as he frowned. Satoru couldn’t help his teasing smile as he brought Suguru’s hand to his lips again, humming thoughtfully against his fingers before he said, ’I’ll admit the kikufuku comes close—‘ Satoru looked Suguru dead in the eye as he parted his lips to lick a slow wet stripe up the side of Suguru’s index finger. ‘—but Suguru is still the sweetest damn thing I’ve ever eaten.’

Do you agree if SatoSugu and BakuDeku called "Doom Toxic Yaoi"? Why?

Do I not internet enough? I don't think I've heard that expression before. I did google it... warily. haha but results were mostly related to "Doom", a video game? I probably need more context but infer, based on the ships, that it means doomed pairings?

Because if that's the case...

SatoSugu - Canonically and empirically yes. Hubris was their undoing as was Gojo's inability to comprehend Suguru's spiral. Very "right people, not enough time" coded.

BakuDeku - Honestly, I go back and forth on how I see the series ending but this week, I don't think one of them is doomed to die. They're doomed by their inability to communicate but the rain is coming so we'll see what that brings.

I'm an overthinker and still trying to figure out what makes it toxic in the phrase because, historically, there have always been doomed pairings like Romeo and Juliet (completely glossing over all the problems there since my brain isn't braining today). Or is it the fetishization of the impossibility of success because if so..

Haha I don't think I understand the question enough to adequately answer so I hope this at least partly addressed your question!

12. Tell you about a WIP I’m excited about...

Good lord. I have like 5 that I am STOKED about. 7 actually. Three are collabs with other writers *cough* @omgitscharlie, @sapphirestarxx  and @fawn-eyed-girl *cough* Andddddddd actually---in celebration of reaching 500 followers I’m only 16 away! I was goging to open a pole and see which multi-chapter WIP everyone wants to see next anddddddd which one they’d like me to do a collab with art!!!

Cinderella-- Popstar AU Where Kikyo is a popstar and is tired of the innocent look and decides she wants to break her contract only to realize she could never afford to do so. She pleads with her twin, Kagome, to take her spot who agrees. What Kagome doesn’t realize is all there was going into being a Popstar, including the hott dancer Inuyasha who her sister was fake-dating. (This idea kinda keeps evolving the more I plot so it may be different when it is written)

Whispers-- Ghost AU Back to InuKag Week 2020 @keichanz and @cstormsinukagblog wrote Ghost AUs... and I was like OMG I need to write the one I want to do!---Kagome has been seeing spirits since she was 13. Her best friend Miroku also suffers from the same affliction. Her mother moves her and her brother in with grandfather to their family shrine once her dad passes when she’s 16. There, she meets the ghost that haunts her bedroom, Inuyasha. But it is far from love at first sight--def enemies to lovers fic. (there’s a preview to this in my inukag week too.... HERE!)

River-- Egyptian AU @lemonlushff I know you mentioned you were thirsty for this fic! This one is where Kagome is pulled from modern Japan into a well and ends up in the care of the Prince Inuyasha. Can they return her to her era? Or will she be stuck as a concubine to the prince? (there won’t be an non-con elements so no worries)

A New World-- A Pocahontas AU. Demons had adapted and modernized with other humans while spiritualist fled to new lands to continue their worship of gods and land. Some of the demons thing they are hiding something precious and powerful and go in search of it! What Inuyasha wasn’t expecting to find, was love with the miko, Kagome. @neutronstarchild helped me hammer this b word out!

I’ll probably make the poll to vote in the next week or so (depends on if more people follow me sooner than later) but I also wanted to finish Shelter before dipping my foot in anymore of these---especially if it is an artist collab.
