My personal Alternative Hail Mary Prayer:
In Traditional Latin and English.
---english
Hail Mary, full of Grace.
Thy Devotees are with you.
Blessed art thou among Women, and Blessed is the fruit of your Womb.
Hail Mary, mother of all,
help us now,
and at the hour of our death,
Queen of Heaven guard us from harm.
----latin
Ave Maria, gratia plena, devotus tuus tecum .
Benedicta tu in mulieribus, et benedictus fructus ventris tui.
Ave Maria, Mater omnium nostrum,
adiuva nos nunc
et in hora mortis nostrae.
Regina caeli, ab iniuria nos custodi.
Hope someone has benefited from this knowing you can *change traditional Catholic prayers to fit Paganism, Gnosticism or Folk Catholicism!*

If you are a Christian woman and wish to devote your time to God and you go to a nunnery you are considered a good member of faith.
If you are a pagan woman and wish to devote your time to Goddess and you go to a spiritual community you are considered part of an evil cult.
It is religion when the divine is male.
It is a cult when the divine is female.
And when our society is shaped by religion all women are evil harbingers of sin when we deem them not good enough.

Remember, Our Lady has conquered the underworld and smashed the gates of hell. There is no place into which Her light does not shine. No matter the depths of darkness, pain, and despair you find yourself in, know that She can and will find you to take your hands and lead you into the world of light. You are not lost, She has found you.

Within descriptions of long-buried cities and temples, academic authors wrote of the sexually active Goddess as "improper," "unbearably aggressive" or "embarrassingly void of morals," while male deities who raped or seduced legendary women or nymphs were described as "playful," even admirably "virile." The overt sexual nature of the Goddess, juxtaposed to Her sacred divinity, so confused one scholar that he finally settled for the perplexing title, the Virgin-Harlot. The women who followed the ancient sexual customs of the Goddess faith, known in their own language as sacred or holy women, were repeatedly referred to as "ritual prostitutes." This choice of words once again reveals a rather ethnocentric ethic, probably based on biblical attitudes. Yet, using the term "prostitute" as a translation for the title of women who were actually known as qadesh, meaning holy, suggests a lack of comprehension of the very theological and social structure the writers were attempting to describe and explain.
Descriptions of the female deity as creator of the universe, inventor or provider of culture were often given only a line or two, if mentioned at all; scholars quickly disposed of these aspects of the female deity as hardly worth discussing. And despite the fact that the title of the Goddess in most historical documents of the Near East was the Queen of Heaven, some writers were willing to know Her only as the eternal "Earth Mother."

Happy New Year!
Our Lady has gone down into that darkest place, has suffered and been broken, and She has triumphed! No soul shall be lost forever, no soul shall suffer in any eternal hell.
The world is fresh and new, reborn by Her Hand and flush with Divine Light and energy. And so today is the first day of spring, and also of a new year!
The Filianic Eastre is not dissimilar from its Christian (Easter) and neopagan (Ostara) counterparts, or from many springtime festivities around the world. Dancing, music, egg games & dyeing, flowers everywhere, and a big feast with plenty of dessert.
3344 (I.E.), is a year of Sai Thame, Janya of divine law and harmony. The year itself, as well as each month and week of the Filianic calendar will begin on Thamedi / Thursday, until next Eastre.
And the children of the earth cried: Lift up your voices in song and laughter, for the Princess of the World was dead and is alive again, was broken and is whole; and there is no place whereto Her joyous rule does not extend. Give praise to the Mother of All Things and praise to Her Daughter. Rejoice, for the world is renewed.

Just because the Goddess and Her priestesses may have been referred to as 'Whores' by patriarchal religion doesn't mean we have to. We don't have to 'reclaim' it. It's a degrading word and a slur against women and not one we need to be associating ourselves or the Divine Mother with.

Stone, in Neolithic times as in the Paleolithic, remains the powerful abode of the Great Goddess. Stone, of all earth forms, is immortal and unchanging, symbol of permanence. As the bones of the earth, the pelvic walls of caverns, it gives off a profound vibration or resonance—both subhuman and supranatural. All "primitive" people carry wishbones and healing-stones, talismans painted with magic symbols. Animals as well as humans seem drawn to tall, standing menhirs, or stone pillars; sick livestock rub against them in the countryside, and it is timeless folk custom to touch menhirs in order to become fertile, or to be cured of illness.
Legends often refer to stone circles (e.g., in Brittany and Cornwall, in Ireland and England) as nine maidens or merry maidens; nine is the magic number of the moon, and the Thracian muses. To explain these circles, it is said that nine naughty young women were turned into stone, by the avenging Christian God, for dancing on his sabbath.
It has been suggested that a specific number of women/girls dancing in a circle at certain speeds, and all singing or humming the appropriate note (young women having high piping voices), might set up a vibratory resonance in the stone circle, subjecting each stone to a burst of sound-energy as each woman passed it . . . and this energy traveling from stone to stone . . . ! The ultrasound in the voices or music would act on the crystal structure of the stone.

Prayer for the World
Blessed Mother, the world seemingly grows darker and darker with each passing day. People in power grow ever more greedy, the poor grow ever poorer. The people are becoming oppressed, our planet is changing in ways that are unbenificial to all and war seems to loom ever closer over the horizon. Please dear Mother, whatever comes, abandon us not. See us through to the bitter end of this process, whenever that may come, and guide us through to a new Golden Age of prosperity and peace. Bless us the living oh Mari, that we may be strong and roll with whatever changes may come, and bless the dead that they may see Anna's holy garden of Avala, and find rest there till they must next pass on. Bless us Mother, that all, living and dead, may know peace.

In the name of Most Holy Anna I pray,

Amadéa

Moura Approaches
The "Filianic Lent" -- The month of Moura -- begins on Feb 20. In this month, we honor the descent of the Maid into the darkest place, Her pain as She journeys deeper into darkness, and eventually Her death.
It is a season of fasting from luxuries such as sugar, chocolate, alcohol, and meat, and of trying to deepen our spiritual life. Thus, many choose to forgo practices they see as vices or overly present in their lives, such as social media or other technology, and pray and study scripture more frequently.
As part of my observance, I will be limiting my internet and social media usage. So this means I will not be using Tumblr until Moura ends! I'll have scheduled posts for the dates below, so that I don't need to worry during the month.
Upcoming dates are:
Moura Eve - 28 Brighe / Feb 19 Moura Day - 1 Moura / Feb 20 Med-Moura - 14 Moura / March 4 (in leap years)
Kala - 28 Moura / March 18 (in leap years) -------- The day with no date (March 19-20 in leap years) Eastre - 1 Culverine / March 21
May Our Lady bless you in the upcoming season!
Radiant Daughter of Eternal Light, You have torn Yourself from Your own Self for my sake. Forgive me. I have given myself freely into the claws of Irkalla, And my soul into eternal darkness; Yet You have interposed Your sacred body, Saying: take not this soul, take rather Me. O, You that have prayed beneath the full moon and by the running streams, Teach me the power of true devotion.
