Today is a special day for Wheeling For The World - it’s Mike’s 32nd birthday! Mike grew up in inner city South Philly, surrounded by violence and poverty. The high school he attended had 2/3 graduates end up in prison or deceased. Growing up in an area where the odds weren’t in his favor, Mike knew it was up to him to change his fate. Mike began to push himself physically and mentally to be better and prove that it doesn’t matter where you come from, what matters is what you do with your life. Through the organization Education Works, Mike became a mentor to kids in his neighborhood and inspired them to graduate high school and go on to be bigger and better than they ever thought possible. Eventually Mike found himself at Seeds of Peace, a leadership development program that brings youth and educators from areas of conflict to camp in Maine. There, Mike met Belik and the dynamic duo have been an unstoppable force since. This is Mike’s 3rd World Record, and 2nd with Belik. Mike is an inspiration to the team at Wheeling For The World, and even though his only birthday wish is to have vegan pizza and chocolate soy milk, we wanted to take the time to let our audience know how special he is to us and everyone he meets! The entire firm, attorneys, support staff, and administrative staff are required to attend small group meetings monthly that serve as discussion forums intended to cement the fundamentals into our ways of thinking and acting towards our clientele. I had opportunity to lead a small group today.
