Oh... Let me tell you this. The process of you two getting close was hard. As expected.
Genya is such a shy guy, especially around girls, everybody knows. He sits, or stands still, red faced and completely stunned, unable to utter a word. That's why he appreciated that you did all the talking. He liked listening to you, talking about your interests and even got really into it!
Sometimes he'd utter a question or two, asking about some facts of your favorite games or for you to explain how they worked.
He could say he was quite.. addicted to your voice.
He noticed you tend to apologize a lot, and he wondered if that was associated with any trauma of yours..? Some bad life experience..? Or were you just this kind..? It was hard to tell.
He really adores your talent to draw! As a not really manually gifted person he appreciates the art you make! He makes sure to praise you for them, so you feel good about what you do! He's such a supportive boyfriend! He's always there when you need him, and it pains him so much to see you sad....
It also makes him wonder why you seem to distance yourself from him at times. Only then did he realise (or possibly you told him, because poor boy tends to be so confused about some things) that you do it because you think you annoy him, and that you force yourself on him, and that he's tired of you. Afterall, Genya is always so quiet around you it's odd.. And oh how wrong you are!
He LOVES to listen to you yapping about things, telling him all the news you might've heard, listen to you telling him about your opinions on things, or even just complain about people that annoy you! Because even if he's not really sociable, he feels like he's a part of the community, like he hasn't just been totally thrown beyond the margins of society.
And that conversation of yours also led to him getting out of his shell a bit. He tells you he never felt really confident around women because he was shy and a little insecure, but you were so much of an angel to pull him out of the damnation and make him happy, and feel desired as a friend and.. maybe a little more??
He's very satisfied that you're failing in changing your personality, he'd hate it so much if you suddenly went quiet!
And a lil grumpy if he found out you tried to change just to please others !!
To him, you're perfect just the way you are - you are his world! Though he doesn't tell you often because he still has to get used to being so close to a woman, you mean so much to him, he loves you so much and is glad that somebody like you is willing to be with him!

I like my friends, drawing, music (loud), anime, movies, TV shows, Dreamworks, any kind of fashion so I’m quirky and I read a little bit and I’m creative and I like animals. My dislikes are racism, boys looking down on girls like the opposite of feminists, spoiled rich people, corrupted politicians, hate Elon Musk, and Disney. I go by the name of Nex, I'm 5'8 tall, an Istp, Capricorn, ADHD filled with severe social anxiety. I have really short brown hair, brown eyes and I'm mixed.
I absolutely love drawing and making up Ocs (Original characters). I also have a huge obsession with Pokémon, I collect Pokémon plushies, clothes, books, cards and literally anything you can imagine. Cats are my absolute favourite animal and I own 3 that mean the world to me!
I'm kinda childish and I have the habit of constantly daydreaming or dozing off if I'm bored or sometimes completely randomly. I'm often called really lazy but I just struggle to find motivation for most things. I'm usually Very calm but if someone pushes me around too much I will physically fight them without no warning.

I think Genya wouldn't really take a fancy at you at first. To be fair, he doesn't fancy anyone that easily. You meet in a already set-up situation, like being seated next to each other in class or being groupmates for a project. He's the same awkward bean he is and he doesn't really know how to approach you about how to do this and that but he'll get to it.
When he catches you daydreaming he'd muster up the courage to ask what you're thinking about both because he's curious and because he's a little worried that you might be feeling unwell. Behind that hard shell is a really soft and caring young man who wants friends.
If you open up to him he'll listen to everything you say. Your interests will more or less also be his interests, as well. You'll get him into character making and Pokemon. I think he'd really like ghost type pokemons.
Bonus: Since you're almost the same height as Genya sooner or later either Tanjiro, Inosuke, or Zenitsu would point out that you two look good together. Genya would get all flustered saying you guys are just good friends but he can't deny that the thought of being more than friends with you has crossed his mind. He'd blush even harder because of it.

Hello my love, I was wondering if you could do a matchup for me for demon slayer. I am a straight, female, I have wavy red hair, pale skin, white eyelashes, blue eyes, I’m 5”1, got thick strong thighs lol) and I have decent sized scars on my legs ( I’ve had five surgeries since I was 6) my personality: i am more introverted, but I love to spend time with my friends and people I’m more comfortable with. I am a calm, understanding, patient person and I can be known as mature though I do have a childish, fun side and I love to hang out with my younger cousins :) I’ve got a bit of crackhead energy lol. Hmm, now let’s see here… Ah, yes! A couple options come to mind…
I know Tanjiro gets dished out often in these, but hear me out! We’ve all seen that Tanjiro somehow finds himself drawn to introverts, and seems to wriggle his way past their defenses. Not only is he also patient and understanding as well, but he’s been shown to be able to relax and have some lighthearted fun during even the most stressful times. He’s more than happy to hold your hand, and even carry you if he doesn’t have Nezuko’s box. Tanjiro has shown to be good with animals, or at least with Chuntaro, so he’s more than willing to lead animals to you! I’m sure he’d love seeing you play with Nezuko as you would play with your cousins as well. His energy is pretty adaptable to whatever activity you want to do!
While I can see the Shinazugawa brothers having a better chance to connect with you through similarities with fathers, I feel Genya would be more on your side since Sanemi tends to shut people out. I think that a lot of your time with Genya would be spent alone. Whether the two of you would speak of your fathers is up to you, but I think Genya would be more willing to listen to you instead of speaking of his past. Genya would have no problem carrying you on his back or holding your hands, but he might freeze up if someone else shows up. Hello ☺️ I saw your post about open match ups on your Jojo blog.
I’m a pretty basic lady that’s short and thiccc (with 3 c’s lmao). I play video games but my favorite hobby is making resin art, I love how I can make it look like stained glass. I’m a pretty decent cook and I love napping. If I had it my way I’d have a giant pillow as a bed. I don’t scar easily but when my fight or flight senses kick in I’m almost always going to swing before bolting.

Ok I know he isn't the most well loved character but he's really a sweetie and loves very hard once he's comfortable and his walls come down. His favorite thing to do is hug you from behind when you're cooking or making your resin art; he loves watching your face scrunch up in concentration and watching you create things with your hands. If you ask if he wants to join or if he wants you to teach him, he'll turn bright red, but later he'll be following your instructions to the t and hanging off of your every word as you work together. He gets flustered when you bring up to anyone how you have the first resin art piece he ever made on display on your nightstand.
Genya is more than willing to nap with you as well, as long as you let him use you as a pillow he's content to lay the day away. He will drape his arm over your middle and curl up against you (honestly he loves being held and if you hold him at all in any way he will melt and probably cry)
He's also a little tease and will give his all to get the best of you, hiding behind corners and jumping out or sneaking up behind you (as long as it doesn't jeopardize what you're working on) to startle you. It doesn't matter if you take a swing at him because he can take the hit, and he thinks it's cute.
Loves your size and your body, and can be found behind you most of the time with his arms draped around you and his chin resting on your head. Genya is a big cuddle bug and you can't change my mind. (It also is great in public because he looks so mean and tough that you won't get any unsolicited attention dsjdsjdsj)

Let’s see 🤔 a few things about me:
I’m 5’9 (so roughly around 175-176 centimeters).
Pronouns are she/her/hers.
At a first glance, I may come across as an introvert you know, someone shy and quiet. But once you get to know me, I can be a few of things: I’m a little hood, a little ratchet and a little ghetto and can be full of energy, making the people around me smile and laugh.
One thing I get from a lot of people is that I appear to be intimidating not just because of my height but for my face too. I get that I have a mean RBF (Resting B*tch Face) so I tend to scare people away.
But overall, I’m just a chill person who tries to get along with people, minds her business, focuses on her own goals, ambitions, and dreams in life, tries her best to be positive towards others and surrounds herself with positive people and people who won’t let me down and looks out for the ones she loves.
I don’t really have friends so I spend my leisure time with my family.

I play indoor volleyball.
From time when I like take a break, I like to go outside for a walk. Feels so nice especially during the summer with warm air and the breeze.

You’ve been training with Gyomei for the past week and you always found yourself talking to Genya or checking up on him . Were you falling for the boy ? Maybe . Was he falling for you ? Yes . He’s still trying to figure out why but give him time . Once that time is over .. he’ll try asking you out but then somehow Shinobu finds out and plans a date for the both of you .

The way I see Genya , he would be okay with PDA but then would get extremely flustered afterwards . Little pecks on the cheek / lips are probably his favorite !

This stubborn young man wanted to become Hashira so badly that he ended up hurt and taken to the Butterfly Mansion to be treated. It was nothing serious thanks to his ability to heal when he had eaten Demon's flesh, but Shinobu had insisted that he got himself checked.
Genya is so awkward and shy around girls, but he likes to think that at least he knows all the girls who work in the Mansion, but that was when he notices that there is a new girl aka you in there, and he loses all the confidence he had in himself.
You are so petite and so freaking shy it's so cute and you can barely look at Genya, let alone bring him his meals or change his bandages. You aren't alone, Genya is suffering just as much as you are.
Time passes and Sumi, Kiyo, and Naho help Genya to train back to the proper Demon hunting shape, but as he has been training, he has seen you sitting on a porch, enjoying the warm rays of sunshine while your nose is buried in a book of some sort or you're drawing something.
Genya notices that you are extremely kind and always thinking of others before yourself. You are always close to Aoi as you trust her to do the speaking and such so you won't have to open your mouth.
Despite your quiet nature, Genya can't help but fall for you and your kindness, but he is too shy to do anything about his feelings.
Despite looking a little scary at first, you grow to like Genya also because he feels to be just as shy and awkward around you as you are around him. It's only a matter of time before you start stealing little glances at him while he is training with girls, and you are hiding your blush behind your book.
You are so shy you don't dare to tell him about your feelings, but it shows in the little things you do. Like, you go extra far for him, making sure that he has eaten well and always asking if he would like a refill or if he wanted more pillows to rest against.
It's up to excited and eager Sumi, Kiyo, and Naho to make you both realize your feelings for each other. They have plans and everything to get you two lovebirds together!
The three girls tell you that Genya wants to talk to you about his feelings for you and the other way around, telling Genya that you want to talk to him about your feelings.
You're both blushing messes as you meet at the place given to you by the girls and you are both trying to speak, but you are both speechless.

"Kiss!" The three girls shout from the background and you and Genya blush as you realize that you have both been set up.
Sumi, Kiyo, and Naho got scolded by Aoi and she made them apologize to you and Genya, but the two of you couldn't be really mad at them since their little plan did work.
You both start to open up to each other more and get to know just how deep your feelings for each other are. You are both eager to learn more and more about each other and your interests and such.
You can't help but worry about Genya when he leaves the Mansion to hunt Demons, but he always promises to come back to you and he is a man of his word.
When things look bad, he will be there for you and keep you safe, no matter what! Be it Demons or just other humans, he will be your projector and your hero!
